[Q] Hiding full-size notifications - LG G Watch

I've had my G Watch since last week and mostly love it, but one thing has been driving me nuts and I can't seem to find a straight answer - how can I stop those full-screen notifications from appearing whenever I get a text or email? I know certain watch faces (such as Intellicom) allow you to choose between large or small notification cards, and according to others this should stop the full-size notifications, but I get them no matter what setting I use. I've also tried disabling the Card Previews setting in the Wear app on my phone - this didn't help either.
To be clear, I'm talking about the cards that show up for around 5 seconds as soon as you get a notification, which contain as much text from an email or SMS that will fit on the watch screen. I want the watch to vibrate but only show the small notification at the bottom until I swipe up to open it.

How to disable on screen notifications over watch face?

Does anyone know how/if there is a way to prevent notifications from appearing on top of the watch face?
With my original Moto 360 / Android Wear, there was an option to disable this. You could still scroll down to see your notifications and still get vibrate notifications to let you know you got something new. But the notification would not cover the watch face. Any ideas?
This is usually an option on the actual watch face you are using. If there is no option, the watch face probably just has a default that you can't change.
If you are using stock faces from Android Wear, open the app on your phone, select the cog by your watch, then select your watch under your device settings. Scroll down to Card settings and if you want previews to appear.

Thank you! I didn't know there was another menu when I tap my device from the settings menu. This fixes everything, thanks!
Struggling with this also. Nothing stops the watch from blasting a HUGE notification on my screen. This is seriously a major flaw in android wear. They need to copy what the Apple watch does. If you arent looking at your watch, the notification shouldn't show on the screen. When you LOOK at the watch, poof, there it is.
Its getting annoying having everyone reading text messages on my wrist when I receive them. Even if I block the content of the message, they can still see I am receiving one, how often, and their contact picture.
This is seriously a major privacy issue.

second screen problems with notification and full screen apps

I use wechat, which is a instant message apps. I saw someone reports same problem with google hangouts and whatsapp.
The problems some time the new notification would show up in second screen just fine, but some times it still pop up a heads up notification.
So I used adb to disable headsup notification for my phone. Now it shows notification in second screen sometimes, while other times no notification at all except the vibration and icon in status bar.
This problems also affect other apps such as google inbox.
How can I just have every notification goes to second screen?
I feel like this is some kind of software bug since it shows sometimes but not all the times.
Also, when I play games which is in fullscreen, the second screen became the one for the lockscreen.
i.e. it only shows time and date etc, instead of recent apps.
Is there anyway to change this?
So I tried again.
It turns out that second screen does not work with immersive apps.
and when I recieve 2 instant messages in a row, the second screen would show.. I wonder why.
The only place where you can choose to show at second screen vs pop up notification is the LG's MESSAGE app

Same here :/ unless I get two notifications in a row, they only show in the main screen. I thought all the notifications were supposed to show up in the second screen...

Disable bundling of notofications

Hi, I'm looking for a way to disable the bundling of notifications of the same app grouping into 1 notification. I especially hate this with whatsapp, where I sometimes have to swipe so much to see the different messages I got, that it's faster to just go into the app.
In this cas:,
1. I have to swipe once to expand the main notification
2. I have to swipe to see the group messages
3. Even when fully expanded, not all notifications are visible.

Is there a way to just let it show all my notifications in separate bubbles, something like this (iOS10 plua jailbreak tweaks):

Can messages be expanded in AW1.5?

I just downgraded back to AW1.5. One massive feature I miss from AW2.0 is the individual text message notifications. AW1.5 groups them into one tab saying x-number of messages, then you can tap to expand into individual messages. I mainly use my watch when I'm riding the motorcycle, so I can quickly glance for important messages at stop lights. My riding gloves are pretty thick, so the watch doesn't always respond to expand the messages. On AW2.0, I could just flick my wrist to scroll through the messages. Is there a way to get AW1.5 to display each test individually so that flick gestures can scroll through them without having to touch the screen?

What do you use for Notifications?

Coming from a LGv20, where I used the following combo: Cute little bar at the top showed time & an icon for missed notifications (similar to the Always On Display), and an app called Dynamic Notifications.
The idea on the 2 of those, was: If I got a notification while I was able to look at my phone, Dynamic would show it to me, along with a preview of what the message is. You can slide to open it, ignore it for now, or delete it (depending on the app). If I wasn't looking at my phone, I'd at least see an icon on the top bar so I knew to go look.
AOD does fine for the time & you missed a notification, but when I get one, and my phone is sitting next to me, it's annoying to unlock the phone to check the notification.
Sadly, AOD & Dynamic notifications don't seem to work well together.

Now when the phone is on, I'm not getting my heads-up notifications, and I don't know i the LG did it on its own..o what. So I'm using an app called Heads-up at the moment. Heads-up also has a turn-on-phone feature, so I'm testing it and AOD display as a combination.
Oddly though, Go SMS isn't working with Heads-up, and I'm not always getting the Go SMS built in popup.

SO.. what is everyone doing for notification, both with phone on & off?
One last thing - edge lighting - looks neat, but I never put my phone face down. Would kind of kill AOD anyway, no?
