[XPOSED][MODULE] S-pushTAN and DKB-pushTAN on rooted devices - Xposed Framework Modules

Hey guys,
I had some issues with my rooted device and the S-pushTAN app from Starfinanz so I decided to write a little module which allows running the app on a rooted device.
I am new to Android programming so please don't be too harsh with me if it is not working on your device.
I will do my best and try to fix every problem you guys have.
Successfully tested and working on:
✓ Android 5.1.1
✓ Android 5.0.1
✓ Android 4.4.2
✓ Android 4.2.2
Xposed is required.
Now supports the DKB-pushTAN app!

Finally...Thank you so much for an easy solution.

DKB 1.0.4
Hi,
thanks for your work so far. Now there is a new DKB Push-Tan app out. Hopefully you gonna find a solution for this app too. This would be great.
I'm not able to post a link, but you gonna find the apk in your android-hilfe.de thread !
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I'll have a look at it tonight!

Hi,
I believe that the S6 edge or the S6 in general is not yet supported by xposed. Please have a look at your xposed installation and make sure it is installed correctly. To do that go to xposed installer/framework and look at the displayed message.

Works perfect on d6603 5.1.1

Hi there,
thanks for your great work! It's doing a great job for me.
Just a sidenote, in case anyone is having the same "issue" as I just had: I still had v1.0.3 of the DKB PushTAN app installed. After having updated your mod (but not the DKB app, yet), I was told by the pushtan app "You've got screenreader, you've got root – you're a baaad, bad guy!" So to me it seems that this mod isn't supporting older versions anymore? I don't know how much work it may take, but maybe there's a way to add an version check to make it work with older apps as well.
Just my two cents. Anyway: thank you again for this great piece of software! =)
Regards, mh166

Thank you very much! Also works on Android 4.1.1

This. Otherwise I cannot help you guys, I'm sorry.

Great work. Could you also add a function to bypass the password prompt?

You serious? This app is to secure your banking. Maybe you want the old TAN lists back?
The answer to your question is simple without beeing a Xposed developer: No
Why? The module does not mess with the code of the app. It just redirects the system requests of the app which makes it recognize rooted devices.
Normally: The app asks into the system is there is su installed. The system says "YES" and the app tells you that you cannot use it with a rooted device.
With the module: The app asks into the system is there is su installed. This request gets directed to the enabler module which answers with "What is su? I don't know it." and the app believes that there is no Superuser command available which means your device is not rooted.
This is not exacly the way this module works but should make you understand how it does its job. The app stays like it is. No changes.

If the system is compromised it makes not difference if there is a password prompt or not. If the system is safe there is no requirement of a password.

Thats your opinion. But I hope you understood the other things I wrote

hi!
First I was wondering a bit where you save the backup, but I found it. Could you give us some details about how the backup works and how we are able to restore it? That would be really great
I guess you are able to restore it with your tool
If I messed up my phone totally and was on a different rom but did an backup with your tool of my stock-rom would I be able to go back to my stock-rom with all settings and apps by restoring the backup with your tool?
Is your backup file compatible to cwm or twrp?
I'm sorry about all the questions But I really like your approach of backing up directly to pc without using the sdcard
EDIT:
Currently I'm trying to create a backup of "App's/Data/System" which seems to backup the SD-Card as well. - Is there a way to backup all but not the sdcard?
Before I start, not the ADB back up system is as reliable as I have accepted as replacement delivery grumbling Google yet. Compatible with CWM or TWRP backups are not. I recommend because rather to make a Nandroid backup to be reliable.
Select the backup not the SD Card Stores I will add to the new version.

LG Cryten
The ADB backup is in my opinion a bit Faulty and immature. It ensures no personal data (phone book, Paid Apps etv.) And not Rome itself, which has the advantage that you can backup 4.2.1 and restore 4.2.2. Compatible with CWM and TWRP is not the backup.
An option for all data and SD card installed I will.

XPrivacy
After weeks of research, development and testing I proudly present the ultimate, yet easy to use, privacy manager: XPrivacy.
XPrivacy can prevent applications from leaking privacy sensitive data. XPrivacy can restrict the categories of data an application can access. This is done by feeding an application with no or fake data. There are several data categories which can be restricted, for example contacts or location. For example, if you restrict access to contacts for an application, this will result in sending an empty contact list to the application. Similarly, restricting an application's access to your location will result in a set location being sent to the application.
You can use the successor XPrivacyLua on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and later.
Features
Simple to use
No need to patch anything (no source, no smali or anything else)
For any (stock) variant of Android version 4.0.3 - 6.0.1 (ICS, JellyBean, Lollipop, Marshmallow)
Newly installed applications are restricted by default
Displays data actually used by an application

XPrivacy is not intended to make other application do things they are not supposed to do.
There is only support for the latest official XPrivacy version.

The latest version from a while ago still works properly up to Android 6 Marshmallow, if Xposed works properly on your device
(you can ignore any internal error report of XPrivacy, since these are known to be harmless)

So If I'm on a sense based 4.2.2 rom I also need to install the CM 4.2 fix? (just installed the latest version of Xprivacy .11)
the app has improved greatly, its very usable now.
some suggestions/details:
app/usability:
1. the app is usable when it is not enabled, there should be a check on app launch if it is enabled in xposed.
2. some sort of loading indicator instead of just directly jumping into the batch edit category after a wait.
3. search for apps.
4. app filtering
2,3,4 are already implemented in xposed app settings, perhaps you could look at that code.
ui stuff:
1. all the activities except the main one should have menu items and the navigation action http://developer.android.com/guide/topics/ui/actionbar.html#Home
2. the blocked apps/ apps with the particular permission should be sorted above the rest.
i'd say blocked apps->apps with permission but not blocked-> rest of them
3. scroll bar in batch edit
4. action bar spinners or a viewpager like the xposed app separating the batch edit and the list of all apps. (AB spinners would save space though)
these are suggestions, i love the app as it is,

Yes, I rebooted twice. I'm on TrickDroid 4.2.2 (sense based) on the HTC One. I do see the orange triangle on some apps when I open up Xprivacy but not on all (going into the different categories)
a have a request. The application is really great, but I would much rather like to get notification(and then I can open XPrivacy by just clicking on it) when new application is installed instead of just popping up. I hope you understand me

If you see orange triangles XPrivacy is in any case working.
Maybe your settings layout is different, so that XPrivacy cannot hook into it.
This is not a big problem, because you can access all settings from the app too.
You can do me a pleasure by sending a logcat, starting from the moment your device boots, so I may be able to figure out why this (not) happens.

[MOD][XPOSED][2.3.3+]FakeID vulnerability fix 1.1 [2014-08-10]

There is a new security vulnerability in town, this time labeled "Fake ID" (Google bug 13678484).
The bug allows malicious apps to pretend to be signed by trusted providers and be loaded as extensions in several contexts such as NFC access, browser plugins and others.
An excellent explanation can be found on this article by Jeff Forristal from Bluebox.
Checking if you're vulnerable
It appears to currently affect all devices, to a lesser or greater extent depending on which extensions each manufacturer included in their ROMs.
You can use Bluebox Security Scanner to detect if your system is vulnerable.
Installing the fix
Fetch the package from the Xposed repository: http://repo.xposed.info/module/tungstwenty.xposed.fakeidfix (it is also available on Google play)
Install as usual and make sure that you enable the module on the Xposed Installer and reboot.
There are no configuration options. There is a simple information screen which can be accessed by tapping the entry on the Installer's module list (you won't see an icon for this on your launcher).
Fix details
For the tech savvy, here's an explanation of what this patch does.
The JarTools class has an API for grabbing all signature certificatates present on an APK / jar. That API doesn't however check if *all* certificates form a valid chain, where each certificate is properly signed by the next one and so on, and not additional certificates are present that don't belong to that chain. It is therefore possible to insert additional certificates in that list, and *certain* callers of that API might be fooled if they assume that just because a certificate is on that list, the party to which it belongs did in fact sign or trust that code.
This behavior could not be blindly changed to enforce checking the chain validity, as apparently it would create compatibility issues on some legitimate callers of that API that rely on that behavior, and Google opted (see this AOSP commit) to include an option to both of the behaviors, keeping the old "insecure" one for code that doesn't bother specifying what it wants, i.e. all existing code.
I haven't spotted any other commits that rely on this new behavior, but from my analysis it seems that the identified vulnerability vectors all go through the getPackageInfo(..., GET_SIGNATURES) PM API.
Therefore, so as not to cause the compatibility issues that Google seems to be cautious about, I have chosen to modify the behavior of JarTools.createChain() only when it's being used by the PM service. This will stop the possibility of using malicious apps impersonating NFC extensions (e.g. Google Wallet), Adobe web plugins, etc.
Additionally, and since Bluebox Security Scanner does a more direct check (in order not to require installing a malicious / proof-of-concept APK in order to then ask the PM service about its signatures), I also included code specific to this scanner so that it reports the bug as not present.

After a quick look I think it is better to not fake return args for Bluebox if the rom is fixed and this module does nothing to fix it
Code:
boolean romAlreadyFixed;
try {
XposedHelpers.findMethodExact("org.apache.harmony.security.utils.JarUtils", null, "createChain",
X509Certificate.class, X509Certificate[].class, boolean.class);
romAlreadyFixed = true;
}
...
if (romAlreadyFixed)
hookSuccessful = true;
}
...
public void handleLoadPackage(LoadPackageParam lpparam) throws Throwable {
if (!hookSuccessful) {
// Hooks not installed, don't report success to the activity nor the Bluebox scanner
return;
}
..
// Change the reported "createChain" method signature to Bluebox Security Scanner so it marks the bug as fixed
Thank you...

I agree, and in fact it's not messing with Bluebox if the ROM is already fixed
Code:
if ([B]result.length == 2[/B]) {
// Simulate that the method receives a 3rd parameter, boolean
...
}
But your comment is perfectly valid since in fact it's not evident from the code; I'll change it to use 2 different booleans on init so it becomes clearer.

Sorry, I left my crystal ball in the other jacket.
Could you provide some information? Like: what you did, what's the status of the module / what does it report, are there any errors in the Xposed error log, what do you see that makes you say "it does not work", etc.
thx for your quick reaction!
Xposed framework: 2.6.1
After installation (reboot) my tab froze totally
I can't install 2.7.1. message: you need bridge v. 52 or higher. No other error report.
I really would impreciate your tipp/help.
Thx in advance!

The minimum version of the bridge required for this module is 52.
If you have Xposed 2.6.1 installed and active, you should have version 54 (see this post) which is enough.
Please post a screenshot of the "Framework" tab of the installer (the one with the active/bundled numbers in green or red)

When I tried to install 2.6, message after reboot: Xposed Installer stopped.
So what is to do?

What version is reported on the About tab of the Xposed Installer?
anyway, you'll need to update it to a newer version, but I doubt that you indeed have version 2.6.1

Shouldn't I be able to use this on my sm-237p?
From what I read, only difference is that the 237p is Sprint varaint. I'm not worried about using LTE.

Think it has a different processor and maybe modem besides no cellular calling on the 237 right?...check the general sections there are some boards on this...235 and 235y are GSM variants cannot work on Sprint and vice versa 237 on say ATT or Tmobile
Sent from my SM-T235 using XDA Free mobile app
Thanks for this, exactly what I was looking for! Been trying to get Xposed working but the version by wanam just gives me bootloops - any idea if there's a compatible version out there?
Cheers

I've still not been able to get Xposed to work.
Also, is anyone able to confirm that charging and usb-otg can function simultaneously? I'm trying to work out whether or not mine isn't working is down to the ROM or my adapter.
All is good, except Xposed isn't working... hope it gets supported or we get a fix soon.

No it will not work on that device
@ambasadii Thank you for the great lite ROM.
I was on XXU1BPC2 previously and having low storage problem. Decided to downgrade to this rom after failing to find root solution for XXU1BPC2.
Hope newer firmware will be rooted soon so that this ROM can get a update.
I have a problem with google account in this rom.
Cannot create google account because the phone thinks it cannot make a connection with google servers.
Any solutions?
Edit:
For few hours of testing and frustration I found the following method that worked in my case:
1. Remove google account from accounts, if you have it there.
2. Remove Google Play Services updates and it's cache.
3. (Propably not necessary) wipe dalvik and cache in twrp.
4. Reboot and add google account to accounts.
Can i install this one over CM13?!
Ps. Can i install bootloader/modem through my existing twrp?! And do i need to install it in the first place?!
Thanks,
Jazz

Has anyone tried to install on this rom viper4android?
I tried and did not want to work.
After downloading and installing the libraries, it asks to restart and still after rebot shows that the libraries have not been installed.

no
your ROM stock this composes into 4 files bl, ap, cp, csc.
which themselves even composes several files.
in case of problems you must reflate the BL file.
view that the modification relates to the first image that displays your note8 at the start, if it can not display it it will be in bootloop (soft brick)
go into donload mode, it does not play the splash in this mode (so no worries) and reflash the bl with odin.

At first, thanks for sharing this guide with us. After first confusing i handled it and changed the splash screen logo. [emoji106] so i can confirm, it works.
On beginning it was a bit difficult to understand your steps.
Now my question:
Do you know if this guide will also work with coming Oreo bootloader?
