Play! PS2 Emulator on Nexus Player. - Nexus Player Themes and Apps

Although the developer is working hard on the emulator he hasn't been able to focus the extra time needed to get out to work on the nexus player. I'm one of the moderators on the community and I'm trying to help out by finding developers that are interested in helping out with the project that can get it working on the nexus player and if they are able to make an Android TV interface for full compatibility.
The app already works on many arm and some x86 devices such as the Nvidia Shield Android TV, Nexus 7 2013, and Oneplus One. It seems to work fine when I run it in the x86 Android TV emulator. When the app tries to read a disk image it crashes so currently you can't enter the main interface since it reads the disk images to extract the game id so that it can pull the proper box art.
This is a great project and has a lot of potential so any one willing to lend a hand please take a look at these project on GitHub HERE and the Google+ community for it HERE.
Here is a logcat of the app crashing on the nexus player I would be happy to give any other logs out testing required to developers needing them to fix the problem. https://paste.ee/p/SjQPr
Thanks a lot any help would be appreciated! I'll be sure to keep this thread updated once things are working properly on the nexus player.

Works on my zenfone 2. Played a very small ammount of DQ8 at <5 fps. 20 in menus lol... do you know if bios are built into it? There are very few folders to look through after installing

[Q] Official CCNA courses on Prime

hi folks,
recently i have tried to copy paste the CCNA courses (Exploration) from my laptop to the tablet. it is not too smart but i was thinking perhaps may work as the browser i use, Dolphin HD, support flash and java. finally copied the entire folder and launched the index.html. it worked the intro page including the flash but nothing else. no course can be launched.
was anyone able to figure it out how the official CCNA courses (installed on Windows) can be run on android?
highly appreciate it.
I'd be interested in seeing this work.. the the ATP will become my primary device then

i have the same problème... it works on debian but not on my acer a700. Help me
:crying: Tanks a lot.
I'm assuming that these courses aren't interactive; they're just a series of videos, right? Just transcode them into a format that Mobo Player or countless other video players will play.
There must be video files in one of the directories. I would suggest directly opening the video files than opening the index page or main app via browser. For video player, use MX Player.
It would be nice if this could work.
I will ask some application developers in my class some information
If i got some information i will come back on this matter.
It does work on Backtrack and CentOS, theoretically it also should work on android
Sorry for my bad English.
(Off-topic: I am doing CCNA 4 now and it's quite hard)

Request for help with simple app

Cheers! I would like some help with an idea for a simple applet for Android in general, and the HP Touchpad in particular.
There is an application called QVOD that downloads videos to a local cache on the Android device, and for many devices it works just fine. For many devices however. If the device is running ICS, frequently the playback features stuttering audio. I have found where QVOD saves the video files, although it separates them into several pieces, making it difficult to just browse to that directory and use an alternative player, such as MXPlayer. I have found that if you cat the files together into one RMV file, you can then watch it with another application and it plays just fine. That means the audio codec built into QVOD is almost certainly the problem.
What I'd like to do is build a simple graphical app that allows you to view the videos in that folder and automatically cat the files together so you can either save them or view them in another player. Having some background in programming, I understand the process flow of this is very simple. Unfortunately, I do not know how to program in java. If anyone is willing to help with this, there is a pretty good sized community that would appreciate the help. Ideally, it would be great if the makers of QVOD addressed the problem directly, but having spoken with them on QQ, it doesn't seem they have any interest in doing so.
I don't see this program taking more than a hundred lines or so, and would be a great contribution to the Android community. Please message me if you are willing to invest some time into helping with this problem. The application will SURELY get a lot of attention, because it will not only allow those with audio problems to enjoy their videos, but it will allow those that aren't having problems viewing to at least save the files and also have a CHOICE of what application to view them in.
thanks!
Write the details here or PM me, I might give this a try, though I cannot give any specific deadline times.

COMING SOON - ALL RK3288 DEVICES (Rikomagic V5, MK902II,Firefly)

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to post a few teasers for the ROM I've been working diligently on for the past several days.
1. Source built Android 5.1.1 with Native Android TV UI and Settings.
2. 100% working AndroidTV versions of the following apps:
Play store
Play Music
Play Movies & TV
Play Games
Live Channels
Leanback keyboard
Leanback voice search (needs microphone)
Backdrop app (photo screensaver)
Hbo Go
Moonlight Game Streaming (Stream from Nvidia card on PC to Android)
Netflix
PlutoTV
SlingTV (WIP)
Termux Terminal Emulator
Youtube
Currently, all of these applications work correctly except for SlingTV and Netflix - these have issues that still need resolution before release.
3. CAST SUPPORT - This is still a work in progress, but currently, I can establish a cast session between my phone and the device from Youtube and the device responds - but video will not play. I hope to get this working with the help of Xposed before release.
4. Fully rooted and Xposed. SuperSU is already installed and working, I am currently working with NeoMode to get Xposed installed.
5. Android TV Remote App - This currently will allow to pair to device, but does not control. WIP.
So, already, we have a very solid working system image - I would just like to get the "other" features working before we do a release.
Additionally, I believe bluetooth does not currently work with this build - we need to fix that as well.
Either way, making exciting progress, and this should be fit to see the light of day very, very soon.
Wow!! Well done! Amazing stuff and i for one can't wait for the final step in this success story

Man I am excited about this! Need some Lollipop love for my mk903v!! Ready to test and support. Thank you in advance for the work you're putting into this.
Whoa!! Can't wait for this!
I'm very interested in this ROM as well! Also using an MK903V that needs some serious ROM support.
This looks really promising, I can't wait
Awsome any progress on a working rom yet?
I am very interested in this. Any update? Will it work on an IDROIDNATION Pro? I know it's a RK3368 but it would be nice to have an Android TV Rom instead of Google TV.

Hi, Any news on progress with this fantastic projekt hope it will be realesed very very soon

All4, ITVHub, My5, RTÉ Player, 3Player, and TG4

There is a BBC iPlayer Android TV app available for the Nvidia Shield TV, but I have not been able to locate native versions of the following:
All4, ITVHub, Demand 5, RTÉ Player, 3Player, and TG4.
Versions of these apps for *regular* Android exist, and they can be sideloaded, but using a mouse or game controller stick to navigate these does not appeal.
- Do versions of these apps exist that would work properly on the shield, perhaps sideloading Sony Android versions, if that is even possible?
- Is there a complete list of Android TV apps available for all regions somewhere? Browsing to the Google Play Store link for same does not provide this.
- Anyway to check if native versions of these apps are in development, or to request them?
*Just to add, Kodi is one of the main reasons I use the Shield, there is a well working ITV addon for it, two BBC iPlayer addons, and a half working Irish TV addon. Unfortunately, even the ones that work properly cannot compare to the experience provided by the GUI of a full featured regular Android or Smart TV app.
These apps are available for the Android Amazon Fire TV, but until someone is kind enough to extract these apps and share I think we're stuck without them
Perhaps contacting nVidia to see what they can do?

I have never owned a Fire, but I have just read Fire OS is based on Android, and it is possible to sideload apks onto the fire. Would the Fire apps actually work on Android TV, and do you know if it is possible to extract them in the first place?
I will see if I can find the best way to contact Nvidia on this, be via email or their forums. In the meantime I have emailed the developers of the existing regular Android apps, asking if they could consider developing a native version for Android TV. If anyone wants to email expressing their interest in same it may help, here are the email addresses:

You could perhaps send them something similar to:
Hi
Could you please consider developing a version of the <insert app name> app native to Android TV? There seems to be a native app for every other platform, but the regular Android version of the app does not work on Android TV, which runs on for instance the Nvidia Shield TV, because it is aimed at touchscreen devices, rather than allowing the user navigate using a remote control.
Thanks
It seems this is possible, and I have requested this here:
Extract Fire TV APKs?
That said, someone else made a similar request and there is no indication on the thread this was fulfilled.
Perhaps an owner of a Fire TV would be willing to help us? Instructions on how to do this are in the linked thread!
I live in Scotland, and the STV Player app works fine on the nVidia Shield. But I'd also like these apps.
My5 works, too. however the app thinks it is a phone and it won't rotate out of vertical mode.
You'd think these companies would make a better effort at pushing apps for use on native Android TV.
Apps from
Amazon Fire TV
Sony Android TV's
will work on the nVidia shield for sure, but no one is able to provide them
If you look on the forum of the thread I linked to, other Amazon Fire apk requests have been fulfilled. I would be surprised if no one will help us out.
I really should have made a new thread there requesting these but it seems on XDA I cannot delete my post, and I do not want to cross post.
I have asked the mods to remove my post on the old thread, and created a new thread requesting these apks from an Amazon Fire TV owner. Voicing your interest in that new thread may help encourage someone to help us!

Have you tried using rotate this? It forces phone apps to be displayed as landscape.
So are you saying if there's a version that works with the amazon fire tv that it'll work for nvidia shield too?
I've tried to sideload the apks from my mobile devices before but with no joy.
We now have virgin tv and this doesn't support the full all4 and itv apps, only the past 7 days. Our TV also isn't supported so it would be really good to able to use these apps with the shield.
Would someone be so kind and upload the new Nvidia Shield ITV Hub App.
Inhave all the uk catch up on my shield using vpn from Ireland but the one I cannot get is all4 or 4player.Cant get it ti work even on the mobile app.
Is there a shield apk for all4 in 2018 ?
Just so you know all4 detects rooted devices even with magiskhide

Same request, could someone post or pm that APK from the shield, I want to see if it works on my Philips android TV ?
Nvideas own shield webpages say its available on the play store, and so it got me wondering if there's now a version optimised for use with remotes but not in the android TV play store for my device ?
I've tried extracting from my fire TV, but they won't install on other devices because they are linked to fire os,/app store
Thanks
OK so after nearly 4 years "my5" has had an update today that now makes it unusable on shield - so my5 is out of the equation
And my5 is back lol, well I downloaded the my5 apk from fire TV and Installed on shield, purchased my5 on amazon website through the browser on my gf's s5, then installed appstore and logged in on shield. After this my5 opens and works perfect, is actually way better than side loaded version by far - just need all4 to be remote friendly and I'm set. All I can seem to find are apk wrappers for all4 fire TV apk
Can someone please upload the latest My5 apk version 3.0.0.88.

Anyone have a copy of the latest TvPlayer (tvplayer_v4.5.1)...
Thanks

I Commissioned a very basic screensaver app to play local 4k video files so i could mimic the Apple TV Aerial screensaver. (Open source)

I am not a developer, I have no experience, skill or ability in this space whatsoever. I am however very frustrated by what seems like a simple problem without a solution: "Play 4k videos from a local folder as a screensaver on Android TV". I decided to put my money where my mouth is and commission a bare bones app to do just that. AndroidAerial is probably as far from perfect as it's possible to be but it does just about work. I have reached the limit of what I can/will pay for development so I decided to dump everything on Github to see if anyone more competent than me is interested in taking over.

PS. I also dont really know anything about Github so apologies for the mess that is this repo. Just keep in mind that I know nothing.
Nice, thanks for this. I love aerial Dream bu it ties up my internet connection. This is perfect!
