Night Time Camera Comparison : OnePlusOne vs OnePlus2 - OnePlus 2 General

How much of an improvement is the OPT's camera over the one found in the OPO?
The response time is almost halved, the camera focuses faster and it gets the exposure right more frequently. Also, once the OPT finds the right exposure it doesn't meander around as much as the OPO. Colour reproduction seems to be more truthful, there's less noise , the photos are sharper and the camera seems to have a wider dynamic range.
All in all a remarkable and significant improvement over the previous model.

1+2 camera does pretty well, good colours and quite sharp.
do you have the international or china version?

The photos were shot with the original Google Camera app, and both versions of the phone are meant for the Chinese market. OPO runs CM 12.1 and OPT runs Oxygen 2.0.

cool, no issues from flashing oxygen os on the china model?

great comparison, did you try manual camera app, does it support camera API 2.0?

Exactly. Just the usual steps, bootloader unlock --> TWRP --> flash ROM.
I didn't test it out long enough to be certain, but I also flashed CM Gapps onto Oxygen (Chinese version of Hydrogen) and it was a bit glitchy, and the account setup would crash at times. So luckily flashing Oxygen didn't trow up any issues.

Can someone post some face fronting camera samples?
Thanks.

White balance are different on both phone on different photo.
(Some pic more yellow, white .)

Can the 1+2 camera be ported? The OxygenOS one I mean... Or does it rely quite heavily on custom framework or whatever?

[Q] ??Galaxy S3 Camera for our Notes??

Is anybody working on getting the Camera from the S3 to work on our Notes? Could anbybody update me on this situation? Would LOVE to be able to use that. Would completely COMPLETE the note experience to the fullest! I take LOTS and LOTS of pictures so this is an extreme interest for me!!! (btw I looked around about it and haven't found anything much about this surprisingly)
Are you talking about a hardware swap? or are you talking about the software? and what are the differences in both? Pardon my ignorance
Sorry not to specify. The apk basically is what I am talking about to simplify it. Looking for the whole no shutter lag experience.

This would be almost impossible, as it would need the Galaxy s3's hardware and framework.
If this is impossible, then is there an alternative? I just would like yo be able to snap photos faster with at least the same quality as the Note has now..

icscamera+ the reason why the s3 snaps so fast is cause of the upgraded camera hardware.

Sure about that? I'm pretty sure that's software related. There are plenty of apps (fast burst, camera FX, etc) that do no shutter lag and fast burst sequences.

Wrong. Its software related. I have this app from playstore that proves it.

More specifically any one have a physical hardware difference list?
Basic config beside size and battery is almost identical.
Battery
Screen
Spen
Bluetooth radio?
NFC software
original firmware
camera hardware?

Your never gonna be able to do that and have the same quality photos. The faster the shutter speed is the more quality suffers but there are several apps that let you take pictures in burst but most will tell you that quality will suffer. Search "fast burst camera" in the Play Market. Also there are several videos of the Note and S3 head to head and you can see the Note takes a much better picture eventhough they both have 8MP cameras cause the shutter speed on the Note is slower which means better quality.

He is right. The camera hardware is upgraded with a different shutter. The burst mode is software but a different shutter is used so that the photos still keep some of the quality they lose from the burst sequence and so the shutter will be consistanly opening at the same speed no matter what mode the camera is set to. Meaning the picture quality will be the same in burst sequence and normal mode, while on the Note the quality is different when taking fast burst pictures than it is when taking a normal picture.

Hi to everyone,
a new thread to show everyone how the equipped camera works. Please post here only VS and try to make the same setup (resolution, output format, compression, preset) for tested devices.

Thank you for taking the time to get some comparison shots...I have a question and request for you.
1. Having the Z-Ultra, what are you thoughts of the camera, particularly taking pictures in lower light situations...Considering the lack of a flash.
2. Can you take some test pictures in lower-light, or better yet dark, situations?
thanks.

Hi Namura,
thanks for your comment, really appreciated. Sure, tonight I will make some nightly shots but the supplied flash isn't so powerful. I am wondering the reason for this top, Sony haven't used a Xenon one (here's a brief list of latest built-on http://www.phonegg.com/List/Xenon-Flash-Cell-Phones.html).

[Q] Nexus 5 vs LG G2

Looking at getting a new phone. Coming from the N4, I am used to stock and enjoy the quick updates. However, the G2 offers a better camera and much more importantly a better battery life. Can anyone speak to their experience with custom roms with G2? I'm under the impression that roms for non-nexus devices tend to be buggier.
Be ready to see this locked
LG G2
I chose the g2 over the nexus for the added screen size' the button placement which i absolutely love, camera, battery life. I could go on. Vanilla android is nice but honestly , the g2 ui is awesome. I absolutely feel no need to flash away to other things.
Just got rid of the N5, do have to say it is awesome. Camera is hit or miss. It'll surprise you but more times then not its pretty dissapointing. Battery life is rather horrendous for the n5 but it s doable, barely! If you like to switch it up and flash alot of roms then get the N5. So far the g2 has been one of if not the best smart phone I've ever owned or had the pleasure of putting my mitts on. As for roms I'm still stock for now but even this way the g2 is blazing through whatever I shoot at it. Benchmarks don't mean **** but it does stroke the ego a tad.

Pa is really stable, and with a good 4.4 rom like this it's basically an n5 with a bigger screen and better battery.
So it's almost n5 vs n5 plus if you ask me.

No the HTC 10 Camera isn't comparable in any way with the LG Stock Camera.
The Stock Camera is by far better, but this can be a interesting thing to try out if you are running an AOSP or CM based Custom ROM.

I have already tried it like a couple months ago... in my opinion it doesn't even get close to the stock camera, doesn't matter if you are running stock or a AOSP/CM based custom ROM.
I don't really experience much noise with the stock LG Camera app and the manual controls kill the HTC 10 Camera compared to the stock one. But hey, its your phone and your personal opinion, if its a better Camera app for you then enjoy it! :good:

Saved Pictures to SD or Intern ???
Is slow motion working with this?
Is there a v2 coming still?

got the phone since 1 week, ask me anything

Hi guys
If you have questions about the phone, just ask
I must say, this is one of the best phones I had. I'm really happy with it. My only criteria were:
- Stock Android
- 71-72mm max. width
- Good camera
- Bonus: DT2W and GCam Mods without rooting
It has all of it, in addition to an awesome display and build quality, and just fits perfect in one hand.
I tried Nokia 7 Plus before, but it was too big for me. My previous phones were: HTC U11 Life, Xiaomi Mi A1, OnePlus 3, Nexus 5, iPhone 6.
Greets from Switzerland
One question - does it have a LED notification light?
@iCstyle: thank you.
No it doesn't have LED notification, like every other Nokia phone.
do you have the possibility to test 4g+ ?
there is an option to hide notch?
thanks
I didn't yet see a 4G+ icon, but 4G works good, also VoLTE.
No option to hide a notch, it should come with Pie though. But Nacho Notch works pretty good.
Hi, thinking of buying this device is it worth it, I'm stuck on this or sammy A7 honor play around 300 Mark, what's future development looking likely etc bootloader unlock will eventually arrive? Thanks

How do you enable hdr10 playback in youtube app? I can only see normal quality settings with no hdr.
I want the steel 64gb version. I had the 6.1 for a day and my big problem with that phone was the bluetooth stuttered when connected to a Cardo Packtalk Bold. No issues with BT on my QC35 headphones though. The Cardo was a deal breaker though. I'll wait until a local shop gets one in and go play with the bluetooth with the helmet on my head. How has the battery life been? Got any camera samples?
