[How-To] Update to I545_OF1 - 5.0.1 and KeepRoot - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S 4

**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
Downloads:
- I545_OF1_Stock_Rooted_ROM
- I545_OF1_Stock_Rooted_Deodexed_ROM
Instructions:
1. Place the ROM onto your device (use either internal or ext-sdcard).
2. Open the FlashFire app and "Agree" to the Terms and Conditions.
3. Press "(+)" twice to bring up the "Actions" menu.
4. Select "Flash Zip or OTA" and locate and select the ROM. Leave "Auto-mount" unchecked under the "Options" menu and press the checkmark to continue.
5. From the main Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and use default "Reboot" setting.
6. Last, press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the flash .
The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition. Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the Verizon splash screen for about 2 - 3 minutes (10 - 15 mins for DeOdexed version) before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Optional:
- I545_OF1_TetherAddOn.zip (Flash using FlashFire's "Flash .Zip or OTA" option).
Known Issues:
- None!
Notes:
1. The ROM's will update your Modem, Non-hlos, Kernel, Recovery, and System to OF1 but no bootloader will be flashed.
2. No need to wipe prior to flashing! The ROM's will automatically perform a factory data reset.
3. If you do not already have root access (or to unbrick) Odin flash the I545_Downgrade_tC1.tar (untested on devices that have taken the OF1 ota update), root using Kingroot Desktop version, use Super-Sume Pro to replace Kingroot files with SuperSu, then follow the above instructions.
4. To learn more about FlashFire's capabilities on locked bootloader devices see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60070810&postcount=2

Forgive the likely stupid question, but if I want to flash back to stock for some reason after doing this (I'm on NC5), I can just Odin back, yes?

Thanks for the mention!! wow so quick!! less than 3hrs since I uploaded the update. How do you make updated rom file so quickly? And is there a way to update without doing a full wipe?

Just waiting for deodexed thanks Muniz

Deodexed version added to OP.

Can this be installed on a rooted non MDK (OC1) bootloader phone?(

Loaded this and Bluetooth isn't working. Do I need to do something to fix it. Worked before loading this.

doing a wipe will generally fix most bugs encountered by people who take OTAs. all those normals you see being like "oh my phone got an update and its sooooo slow now omg I'm gonna get an iphone"
they're just doing it wrong.

yes. make sure you switched from kingroot to superSU if you used that method. flashfire requires superSU.
muniz, will all new mods have to be created for of1 or can oc1 mods be used?(to enable native tethering and such)

sooo.... likely not the best idea, but is there a way to dirty flash this with FlashFire? it is, after all, still 5.0.1. Not really looking forward to starting over again after just getting OC1 up a few weeks back. Not to mention re-doing xposed

the zip has a script in it that automatically wipes data
would you rather take the time to set up all your stuff or deal with incredibly buggy firmware due to a dirty flash?

Hey, I'm new and a noob here, so if I flash the deodexed ROM and on my s4 with root on OC1, I will keep all my files, right?

this has been stated before. if you flash either deodexed or odexed rom using flashfire, you'll be wiping all your stuff, apps, contacts, txt msgs... etc... it will be as if you went and factory reset the phone. only now you're on OF1

so im still new to this if my phone is not rooted but already updated to 0f1 i cant root now without flashing back to an older version first?

you can't root at all. not until some sort of exploit gets found. I'm pretty sure kingroot was patched with of1

[4.4.2] FoxHound Ground Zeroes v1.0 VZW SS NC2/NC5 - THE ROM U DREAMT ABOUT LASTNITE

FoxHound Ground Zeroes v1.0 for Verizon S4 - NCx (NC2 / NC5 +) based off of Foxhound 4.7 International
HELLO FELLOW ROM LOVERS,
Here is another present from me... I present to you the first NC2 / NC5 Custom Rom built on and for the new Verizon 4.4.2 updates. This was tested on both but primarily NC2 and my upgrading methods were used and worked the best.
Kids dont flash ROMs without your parents consent. People don't hold the handicapped dude hostage if this messes up your phone. ITs been tested up and down but some ppl got bad luck... so don't hold me or XDA or anyone that flashes or developers or Verizon responsible for anything bad that happens to your phone from here out.... ok u can try to hold verizon its kinda their fault anyway.
LINK TO ORIGINAL ROM THREAD (Screenshots and descriptions for now until I have time to update this OP)
How to Install:
0. If you have 4.4.2 and Safestrap already installed just flash the ROM and SuperSu and RESET BAM YOUR DONE. Otherwise Follow bellow guide!!!
1. Download the ROM along with these files: SuperSu1.94, gogOdin3.10(the newest Odin brought to u by mua 1st, QuickUpgrade NC2 Safestrap (or other custom recovery) flashable file, NC2 WiFi Fix (only flash if broken wifi in ROM),NC2 Boot.img Only.tar Odin Flashable and pickup and install Safestrap 3.72 found in AT&T S4 thread.
2. Install your version of the ROM in Safestrap 3.72 under the Stock slot. This is a dirty Flash (no wipe) so you may need to wipe the System 1st. After installing the ROM flash the NC2 QuickUpgrade then the NC2 WiFi Fix the SuperSu194 zip then (you can link the installs together so SS flashes all 4 at once.) Now instead of normal resetting go to "Reboot" under main menu of Safestrap. Choose Download Mode (or just restart and hold Vol-Down) when your into Download mode plug phone into the Computer and load up Odin 3.10 and insert the NC2 Boot img.tar into the AP slot and press Start.
3. Phone will restart, give it a minute or two if you don't hear music its not working perfectly. In this situation you'll need to download: NC2 Hlos/Modem and this NC2 Full Upgrade no Bootloaders.tar (both are flashable only in Odin 3.10) now restart phone to download mode again and flash these with the Full Upgrade in the AP slot and the hlos in the CP and press start. Phone will start once before entering Recovery automatically, don't panic completely normal its flashing the cache update now... Phone will restart automatically and now if you don't see the bootanimation or hear music you either need to start completely over. Sorry about the music if its not your personal preference I've got a tool that will easily modify bootanimations and music (along with a lot more) in the next week or so. Just putting on finishing touches to final version 1.0. I've probably flashed 30 ROMS this way and still have my KNOX intact and the same bootloaders I started with. So no worries about voiding warranty by triggering KNOX cause U WONT if DONE RIGHT!!!
4. Vote 5 Stars, Donate, Thank in person or give a +1 if you enjoy the ROM!!!
5. FLASH EITHER THE KEYGUARD REMOVAL.ZIP IN SAFESTRAP OR THE KEYGUARD FIX.ZIP PLEASE! NEW VERSION WILL COME +1s pleas continue to post bugs or issues.
Thanks,
gogolie / gigilie
v1
PS This ROM has my added Theme's pack that ill be releasing shortly to change the theme from settings on home Launcher3 choose Themes and wala.... something like 10 at least to choose from. I know right, your welcome
As a precautionary measure after installing thru safestrap or custom recovery before restarting the ROM flash SuperSu and then go into your system / priv-app / directory and find the file KeyGuard.apk and delete it... i'll be releasing an updated version soon
this is for my...........................

I need more info than that bro. was it a clean install (wiped/formated first?) and was it on safestrap or mdk? sounds like possibly u had a rom underneath this install but i dont know as i havent heard from any other users. it works fine for me tho... keyguard was one of the first things i had to replace with the verizon one in order to port it.... no worries tho i can do a patch if thats an issue
I did a clean install, wiped everything except SD and installed everything just like you said using safestrap 3.72.(i wiped data but did not format data) It boots up good but Gives the keyguard FC persistently..

ok for the time being until i get a fix up... easiest way to quick patch yourself would be restart to safestrap then enter advanced (first make sure system is mounted under mounts) then file explorer and then /system/priv-app/ find keyguard.apk and delete it. this rom comes with its own keyguard so this wont affect the experience or ROM itself. sorry for the trouble thanks for spotting the bug sucks on my phone I had it working with my own version of S5's Particle Effect on that keyguard.... next release. u guys check out all the themes yet?
TW - Main Menu - Themes choose theme. i included a but load of new themes lemme know how they work
Dont flash to anything but stock slot. safestrap doesnt support slots on 4.4.2 yet.

make sure your flashing on a clean system.... or flash over official NC2 or NC5 rom. then upgrade using my methods. use an odin all in one pack for NC2 or NC5 (my vote is NC2 its betr)
judging by your boot symptoms i'm hoping thats what it is maybe a cache flash would fix it too.
op updated
put those keyguard fixes online one will remove it the other will remove it and install a different one.. lemme know

[GUIDE] Noob guide to access root on NC5 from NC5 OTA

Complete Noob Guide To Access Root on Android 4.4.2 (NC5)Helpful Guide by Reconde
This guide will thoroughly explain how to obtain root on Android 4.4.2 (NC5)
There is ONLY ONE FILE needed for the entire process, download it here: http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358538076File provided by: @gigilie
Proceed after downloading and extracting the file above.
1. Navigate to /ODINv3.10 > Odin3 v3.10.0 and run it. In Odin, click on the AP slot and navigate to MK2_system_4downgrade_rooting_all_in_one and open it. Before going to the next step, you must put /safestrap flashable files-modules-quickupgrades-supersu onto your SD card, this is important. You will also need to download gogolies-wififix-VZW-retail-NC5-w-modules-SS.zip, and put it into the folder you just put onto your SD card.
2. Now, turn your Galaxy S4 completely off and boot it into Download Mode by turning it on and holding the volume up button at the same time. Once your phone is booted into Download Mode, plug it into your computer and press "Start" in Odin.
3. After the downgrade file has been flashed to your device, let it boot, set it up, and then go to Settings and enable Developer Options (this can be done by going to "About device" in settings, and clicking on "Build Number" several times until the phone says "Developer mode has been turned on"). Open developer options and enable USB debugging.
4. Back on your computer, navigate to the folder /apps-for-android-down-and-upgrades > /saferoot and run install.bat
5. After following instructions given by the command prompt, your phone should now be rooted. Now, transfer Safestrap-JFLTE-3.72-kk-B01 (found in /apps-for-android-down-and-upgrades) to your phone and install it. ***IF PLANNING ON INSTALLING A CUSTOM ROM IT MUST BE ON YOUR EXTERNAL SD CARD BEFORE THIS STEP. IF PLANNING ON KEEPING ROOTED STOCK ROM, VZW_NC5_PREROOTED-gogolie.zip(stock ROM- KNOX FREE) must be on SD card*** In safestrap, click install recovery, and when that is finished click Reboot to recovery.
6. In safestrap, go to Wipe > Advanced and wipe only dalvik and cache. After this, go to Install and install the custom, or stock, ROM of your choice (must be a 4.4.2 ROM) **IMPORTANT: ROM MUST BE INSTALLED ON STOCK SLOT** After installing the ROM you must flash jfltevzw-NC5-modules (found under /safestrap flashable files-modules-quickupgrades-supersu) and add to the queue gogolies-wififix-VZW-retail-NC5-w-modules-SS.zip AND UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.94. Now flash and wipe dalvik and cache again.
7. After installing your ROM correctly, reboot the phone into Download mode in safestrap by going to Reboot > Download. Now open Odin and insert NC5_4.42-ODIN_UPGRADE-FOR-4.3-NO-SYSTEM-NO-BOOTLOADERS-gogolie (found under /odin flashable files-modemhlos-bootimgs) into the AP slot and press start.
8. Reboot your phone into safestrap after Odin has finished. You must wipe dalvik and cache one last time and then flash jfltevzw-NC5-modules again and you are done! Your phone should now be rooted on NC5.
If you have any issues after completing the process, feel free to reply to this thread or send me a PM!
Special thanks to @gigilie for putting the files and other guide together. His thread can be found here.
Make sure to thank this post if this process worked!

Okay! First of all I would like to thank you for condensing this and making it bit more understandable. I'm usually really nervous about messing around with rooting (even though it's my second time), so simplified things like this really take the stress off.
the one question I had, is...
In step 7 you say to put "...open Odin and insert NC5_4.42-ODIN_UPGRADE-FOR-4.3-NO-SYSTEM-NO-BOOTLOADERS-gogolie."
Which slot in odin do I place it in? AP like before?

Wonderful! Thanks so much for the quick response and help with understanding all of this! I'll let you know how my root and custom ROM installation attempts go.
Update: I pulled it off and got my first custom ROM running as well! Might want to consider mentioning how to install the minor parts in step 6, after custom roms (like having to press the three dots and whatnot). that was the only place I had gotten tripped up. All in all, very effective tut. Thank you kindly.

Did you use this with installing hyperdrive? Since that ROM uses an aroma installer you have to click the three dots and click exit or it will automatically reboot. You don't have to do that with roms that don't use the aroma installer.

Oh! Yes I did. Sorry, I didn't know that hyperdrive installed differently than other roms. Good to know, though, and hopefully people who have similar problems can scroll down and find this, as it's probably not worth being in the OP, haha.
In @gigili orginal post, it says if you're on stock rooted 4.3 MK2 to start with step 3. I'm on stock, rooted 4.3 MK2 (I never take OTA update until I know I can root), so on your method do I start from the beginning, start from step 2, or from the middle of step 1 "Before going to the next step, you must put /safestrap flashable files-modules-quickupgrades-supersu onto your SD card, this is important. Yes, you will need to flash the stock ROM if not installing a custom ROM. I do not recommend using this file, though, go back to the first post and I have updated the link in step 5. At this point though you will need to run through the entire process again. I apologize for any inconvenience.

You will want to do the part in the middle of step 1, and then you can skip to step 3 and go from there.
I followed the original instructions to the end (which said to skip the rom flashing steps for stock ROM). I grabbed I545VRUFNC5-Stock-Root-Odex.zip and can't seem to get the flash to work. Is there a certain step I should go back to?
Does this procedure trip the Samsung Knox flag?
After step 7 got this error on reboot:
E:Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip (Status 7)
I'm not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

only problem with the above file josh is that KNOX is all over it still. yucky...
gogolie's NC5 Rooted/ KNOX FREE:
http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407590564 is my version with no KNOX was released a little earlier than that other ROM and I didnt publicly put it out there as much as I maybe should have. with all 4.4.2 ROM's you need to flash SuperSu 1.94.zip file after installing ROM or you will probably lose root or not have binaries installed... so be sure and always flash that file after installing a ROM in Safestrap!
also I gave Reconde the okay to start this thread, its endorsed by me and I thank him for giving props and not just copying my stuff Thanks buddy. Sorry about not being the best with words... figuring out how things work is more my specialty. try the files i listed just before this post. they will be your answer. and sometimes you will get that no os error depending on what ROM and system your using its totally normal for instance my mk2 AOSP roms say that everytime yet they boot absolutely fine its just an error from Safestrap sometimes not reading the system folder correctly but has no outcome on the booting of the ROM. Ignore that error as long as you think you properly installed it.

[How-To] Update to G900T_OB1-5.0 and KeepRoot w/Knox(0x0)

**You can begin the following process from any Build/ROM but you must already have Root Access**
**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
1. Join the G+ community using the same Google account as you're using for Play on your phone/tablet Here.
2. Sign up to receive the BETA versions from Play Here.
- Use the link provided after sign-up to download the app.
**Caution!** The process below is only for the G900T T-Mobile S5 Variant. Use on any other device may result in a hardbrick!
Download:
- G900T_OB1_Stock_Rooted_ROM
- G900T_OB1_Stock_DeOdexed_ROM
Set screen timeout to 10 mins before beginning!
5. From the main menu Uncheck all options under "EverRoot" and use default "Reboot" setting.
6. Last, press the lightning bolt then "Ok" to begin the flash .
The screen will turn black then display the contents of your system before beginning the flash. FlashFire will pause for about 1 minute while flashing the "system" partition. Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the T-Mobile splash screen for about 1 -2 minutes (10 - 15 mins for the DeOdexed version) before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Known Issues:
- None!
Optional - Enable Native Tethering:
- G900T_OB1_TetherAddOn (Flash using FlashFire's "Flash Zip or OTA" option).
Notes:
1. This process will not affect your knox warranty flag.
2. The above process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, Stock Recovery, and Bootloader to OB1. No need to wipe prior to flashing!
3. If you are currently unrooted and on a non-"Towelroot-able" firmware version you must first a)downgrade to G900TUVU1ANE5 using Odin(perform a factory data reset from recovery after flashing), b)root using Towelroot, then continue with the above process.
Anyone confirmed this for the G900T with pictures and all? If it works, I'll give it an update to the compilation thread.

You can but the whole point is to not use TWRP because it trips your warranty flag.
I just tried this and KNOX has not been tripped. Once my phone has completed the update I'll upload some screenshots.
EDIT:
I apologize for not providing links but I'm below the 10 post threshold.
Mods, I'm just trying to contribute but understand if you need to edit this.
Hope this is enough, if you'd like more please let me know.

Is there any way of flashing through Odin to go back to KitKat? Just being cautious. If this works great than thanks for all the hard work. Been waiting for this.

I just went back to KitKat today from stock G900T OTA update. I googled "downgrade galaxy s5 lollipop to kitkat" and the 1st option was a tutorial from AndroidCentral titled "TUTORIAL: Downgrade Samsung Galaxy S5 from 5.0 to 4.4 KitKat."
I successfully downgraded to 4.4.2 after 2 reboots and running "wipe data/factory reset". From there I followed the steps in OP for rooted 5.0 Lollipop.

People previously attempted this method by using the inject SuperSU option in MobileOdin. The problem is MobileOdin uses SuperSU v1.94 which is incompatible with 5.0.
Users are now instructed in the OP to untick the inject SuperSU option. Instead the ROM is pre-rooted with SuperSU v2.46.
Worked flawlessly, thanks muniz!

no, erases nothing, just like a normal OTA update,

I actually intended to include in the instructions to check "wipe data and cache" and "wipe dalvik." But I have not seen anyone report any issues that may stem from not doing so.
Thanks muniz_ri!!!
Work great. I didn't have to wipe cache or dalvik cache.

[ROM] [N915PVPU2BOC8] [100% Stock, Root, Odexed/Deodexed, No KNOX/Itson] [4/28/2015]

I bring to you completely stock builds of Lollipop (N915PVPU2BOC8). Built from the official Samsung tar. The rom is rooted and has init.d/busybox support. Knox and Sprint Itson has been removed completely. The roms are available as odexed and deodexed . Also included in every rom is the OC8 modem and HLOS patch to ensure you have the latest modem with this rom. (the HLOS patch is the factory Samsung modem patch and I simply added it in just like the official tar. I have no other details, it is official from Samsung and apparently has an important purpose.).
Other than having root, the removal of Knox & Itson, these roms are completely stock in every other way. These roms are stock and will stay that way. Please don't ask for mods, changes, etc in this thread. These roms are intended for those people who want the stock roms in their original form with the addition of root and removal of Knox & itson as well as other members who need a good solid base for their rom projects. I WILL NOT add the hotspot mod to this stock rom. there is a seperate thread for this. Some people actually pay for the hotspot and the mod does not need to interfere in any way for those people.
I give permission for other dev's/chefs to use this rom as your base and I highly recommend that you do so because it is bug-free and built from the official Samsung .tar. However I do expect credit if you use this rom or portion of it for any other project. If you like my work please press that Thanks button and consider making a kind donation for my efforts. Enjoy!
Important Note: Before flashing ANY Lollipop ROM. including this one, you MUST first have done one of the following: Taken the Lollipop ota update OR odin flashed the stock N915PVPU2BOC8_N915PSPT2BOC8_SPR rom tar. If you are still on any KK based rom (including any KK AOSP/CM based roms) then you MUST first update to Lollipop by one of the two methods I mentioned BEFORE flashing either of these roms..
Flashing instructions: ***Before beginning the flash/setup process MAKE SURE your battery has at least 50% charge and/or connected to the charger!!!***
1. Backup anything you don't want to lose off your internal storage to another location.
2. Download the rom using your pc. (downloading with your phone has a much higher risk of file corruption. Not recommended with large files).
3. VERIFY the md5!!! Once the download has finished, compare the AFH md5 using a md5 tool on your pc. (Google is your friend).
4. Put the downloaded rom onto your internal storage or external micro sd card.
5. With phone powered off, reboot into recovery by pressing and holding volume up, power and the home button until you see the samsusung logo then release all buttons.
6. Once in recovery choose the wipe button and do a factory reset three times. Optional but recommended is to do a "Data" wipe. This will wipe all of your internal storage so MAKE SURE you backed up first like i said in step #1 above! Then go to "advanced wipe" and select all of the partitions EXCEPT micro-sd card and internal storage. Internal storage is optional but recommended on first time flashing Lollipop.
7. Choose the "Install" option and select the rom "N915PVPU2BOC8_Odexed/Deodexed_Stock_ROM" from either your internal or external micro-sd card. It will flash the rom and give a confirmation once completed.
8. Press "Reboot" then "reboot system".
9. Initial rom setup will take several minutes and remain on the yellow Sprint Spark screen for at least 13 minutes (definately much longer than what you are used to). Let the phone setup/optimize for at least 15 minutes and the screen WILL eventually turn off once it finishes.
10. When you see the screen turn off, you can proceed with the setup wizard. Once finished with setup wizard wait a few moments and the phone will automatically install the sprint apps. You must either "accept" or "disagree" with each and every google prompt for these apps or else the installs pause untill you do so.. Also you will be prompted for the "connections optimizer". Quickly set it to what you want and close it. That's it! You're done!
flashing anything on your device is done at your own risk. There is no way myself or any other developer can guarantee that flashing this ROM or any other file will not brick your device or otherwise cause some other type of damage. This is just a standard warning. I am not responsible for anything that you do to your device.

Quick question about the hybrid rom. It may be similar with stock but every once in a while I bump the phone and the screen turns on. Is there a way to turn off that feature or is that even an option?
Thanks and sorry to post in this stock thread but I just don't know if it's a glitch or a feature that is turned on.
Edit: I'm an idiot. It was a notification app I downloaded and completely forgot I had done so. Removed no more screen coming on.

Do i have to have rood and custom recovery. Or just be 100% lollipop? And by this having
No KNOX/Itson will it still trip the counter?

Yes you have to have root and TWRP custom recovery is the recommended recovery (just use note 4's twrp it'll be a little jumpy but it works) and i don't believe it trips the counter I wanna say I'm 95% sure it doesn't

The answer is yes to all of your questions. I think you should do more research before tampering with your phone so that you first know exactly what you're doing and secondly learn how to do what's required to flash a custom/stock rom. You WILL trip the KNOX coynter on your phone if your root and flash non official roms. There's more information about this, just search.

This may or may not be a feature on the Note Edge. I haven't heard of it before. The only feature that I know of that is similar on the regular Note 4 is the vibration upon picking up the phone to notify you of notifications. But this doesn't turn on the screen. I suspect your issue is somehow part of the stock rom because I haven't changed anythin in the rom that would cause anything like this. I'm not familiar with the Note Edge.
I will build a new X-Series rom with V4A if there is enough interest and continued support from users.

Not to be rude, but there is a thread directly below this one dedicated to the hotspot mod. Just a little reading might keep more of these developers, who are doing this for free for us from just calling it quits. Again just my thoughts.

[How-To] Update to I545_OC1 - 5.0.1 and KeepRoot

**You can begin the following process from any 4.4.x Build/ROM or higher, but you must already have Root Access. Safestrap Users must flash from "Stock" Slot Only**
**Required** FlashFire - Play BETA - PREVIEW
1. Join the G+ community using the same Google account as you're using for Play on your phone/tablet Here.
2. Sign up to receive the BETA versions from Play Here.
- Use the link provided after sign-up to download the app.
**Caution!** The following process is only for the Verizon I545 S4 Variant. Use on any other device may result in a hardbrick!
***FlashFire v19 Recommended***
Downloads:
- I545_OC1_Stock_Rooted_ROM_wNK4_BL
- I545_OC1_Stock_DeOdexed_ROMwNK4_BL
Attention! Set your screen timeout to 10 mins before beginning!
Once complete your device will reboot and pause on the Verizon splash screen for about 2 - 3 minutes (10 - 15 mins for DeOdexed version) before completely rebooting. Done!
Tip: for blazing fast speed turn off animations from Developer Options and reboot!
Known Issues:
- None!
- When reporting an issue please always include your starting firmware, FF version, and relevant details.
Optional:
- I545_OC1_TetherAddOn (Flash using FlashFire's "Flash zip or ota" option).
- I545_OC1_Batch_Debloater (Customizable)
Notes:
1. FlashFire has a bug which sometimes causes a premature reboot during the flash resulting in getting stuck on the Samsung boot screen. To avoid this press the Volume Key every few seconds during the flash. Seeing "Rebooting....." at the end of the flash usually indicates a successful flash.
2. The above process will not affect your Knox Warranty Flag.
3. The process will update your Modem, Non-hlos, System, Kernel, and Stock Recovery to OC1 and your Bootloader to NK4 (the NK4 bootloader allows for downgrading your firmware to NC5).
4. Safestrap will no longer function after updating to OC1.
5. If you do not already have root access (or to unbrick) flash the Full Wipe NC5 Odin .tar (Caution!: do not flash if you took the OC1 ota update), root with Towelroot, then proceed with the above process.
6. To learn more about FlashFire's capabilities on locked bootloader devices see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60070810&postcount=2

Muniz_ri i finally got around to it. I flashed it and everything booted up fine. Right now i am running lollipop and no crashes yet. The only bug i found is the WIFI. if you depend on wifi a lot do not update it yet. it seems to be broken. but everything else seems to work. Also the playstore doesn't seem to want to download apps. but how it says FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. if you need to read it 5 times do it. But once again nice Job Muniz_ri.
Update I figured how to fix the playstore. U need to wipe data from the playstore app for it to work. If u can't download any apps. So is back to just the wifi issue.
thanks @muniz_ri
everything works fine with me except WIFI.
is there any way to fix WIFI issue?
Update: Works great, WIFI is working now
This was a fast process but I'm also having wifi problems. It's like the phone doesn't see the antenna. Thanks for the work so far!

Let's first make certain that the ROM updated the modem/non-hlos correctly. Someone that flashed the ROM please flash the following using Odin: I545_OC1_Stock_Modem.tar.md5

While this may work on your device, it will not work for this one. Verizon locks down theirs by locking their bootloaders. The international version (i9505) AFAIK does not have this problem. As stated above, you can not flash kernels on a device with a locked bootloader.
I'm new to the whole android flashing. So sorry for the noob questions.
Noob Question #1
Will this wipe my phone? If I do have to wipe it I don't mind. It's just going to be a pain to get it up and working again.
Noob Question #2
Added a picture of my About Phone. Will my phone work?
Sorry for the noob questions. But I have to start somewhere.
