About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project and CyanogenMod. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled ROMs, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonROM GitHub. and on our Gerrit CarbonROM Gerrit.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Support
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.
Who is Team Carbon?

Carbon Team
Remember, every penny you send to us goes right back into the rom. It's used for hardware, server costs, etc - all the things that help us make Carbon better with every release. Your support means the world to us! If you've enjoyed Carbon, please consider a donation toward this goal. Thank you, and we hope you continue to enjoy Carbon!

Additional official builds will be updated randomly (aiming for semi-weekly), until we get nightly builds going again...

Congrats on another custom ROM, CarbonDev. Thanks for working on it and sharing. I have already sampled an earlier version and it is pretty darn nice.

Great work! Glad to see development is finally kicking off for L03. Quite upset that nothing is happening for my L05... Not even stock LP which they promised to deliver in mid July..

Yes Yes Yes ...

Has anyone given this a go yet?

Why don't you give it a go. I've downgraded to JB 4.3 yesterday. Please try it and report whether battery life is better.

Got it. Trying now.

My phone has been off charger for 2 days and is charging so I cannot try until it's at 100%. I never flash unless I'm full charged.

BTW, must one be already on Lollipop before flashing. In other words, do all the requirements for the cm rom apply here also ?

Yes you have to be on 309 or up. That is due to the partitioning.

I tried it after backing up everything from cyanogenmod. I wiped everything except the internal sd card and it installed fine but I was unable to finish the initial setup because the program itself would stop and have to restart. I skipped the google setup because I couldn't get access to my 2 step verification codes and then it asked me to enter my first and last name to personalize some apps and when I did that and touch the next button it stops and restarts again. I installed basically straight from cyanogenmod after wiping all but the internal sd card and it installed fine I just couldn't get the initial setup done because it would crash.

I'm running this now. Seems smooth. I wiped cache and delvik and flashed over CM 12.1. I did not wipe data. The only issue I had was gmail wouldn't open until I updated it.

Hmm, that's not a bug we've had reported yet. Could you logcat so we can try and diagnose?

I wish I could but I've already restored from backup and was able to install carbon with only wiping dalvik and cache.

I re flashed the ROM and gapps to get rid of the per app themer and now get constant google play svcs FC's and process.gapps has stopped also.

Yep I only wiped cache and delvik. The first time around that's also all I did. It was fine until I flashed the per app themer. Then themes would FC so I flashed the ROM and gapps again after wiping cache and delvik and then had the FC's. I restored back to CM 12.1 until I can get home and back up my apk files and do a clean install.

[ROM][4.3] MoKee OS Unofficial 9.18.13

As good a place as any to post this.
Pio-masaki.com is being shut down due to a Cease and Desist order sent against the host by Google and homeland security. I have no idea why, however until this is sorted out, and to avoid any possible or further legal issues, the site is down for a period of time that can be a day or forever. This includes any and all ROMs, kernels, gapps packages, for any and all devices, that were hosted on pio-masaki.com.
I apologize in advance for this as I know some ROMs are only available at pio-masaki.com, but it is out of my hands, the host has to consider their own safety, and has my 100% agreement and backing in taking down the site until the matter is resolved.
As this is a very large matter, and one that has us incredibly scared, I'm retreating from android for the time being, until I know what it was that I did that was illegal, and may return once this is cleared up and blows over.
After this is cleared up the hosting for pio-masaki.com may still remain offline as the hoster has some personal issues with me at this point and may or may not continue to host for me, should we resolve our differences it may return.
If by some chance Google or whoever sent the C&D notices this, I urge you to contact me as I was responsible for what was hosted, and would genuinely like to know what the issues are so we can get them resolved immediately.
I will be making similar postings or editings to any other ROM threads that link to pio-masaki.com.

TIPS:
CDMA vs GSM in a Global ROM
CDMA Users, visit settings > Wireless & networks > more > Mobile networks and select the following:
Network Mode = LTE/CDMA/EvDo
System select = Automatic
CDMA Subscription = RUIM/SIM
If you are having issues with CDMA, try this trick
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45654080
GSM users, visit settings > Wireless & networks > more > Mobile networks and select the following:
Network Mode = GSM/WCDMA preferred
System select = Automatic
CDMA Subscription = RUIM/SIM
If there are issues using GSM on the Global ROM setup, I'll go back to making a GSM specific version if needed (APN settings are missing, so this may cause problems)
LANGUAGE:
The ROM is Asian, as such its native language is Chinese, this can be changed immediatly as the first screen offers you a scrolling list of available languages. This is a very international ROM, with a huge variety of languages, just scroll down or up to your preferred language and the ROM will then run in that language.

No sir, its basically a lightweight ROM with only a few additions, its actually the first ROM to appear with Listview animations that are now in every other ROM out there. They also have a mod to the recent apps list that now appears in PAC, and maybe other ROMs as well. Its based on CM10.2 and contains the mods for that, plus PIE, HALO, Listview animations and some other features tucked in there.
Cool...Thanks and Thanks on your awesome work I guess I prefer ChaOS

That's why I offer a variety of ROMs, I think I've covered every option and choice in the ROMs I've made available, feel free to enjoy whatever you want, even if i didn't make it :silly:
I've heard a lot of good things about MoKee, but I've tried one of your previous releases as well as others for different devices and everything's always been in pure Chinese without giving me the normal option to change it in initial setup (or maybe I missed it since I can't read Chinese, haha), so is this in English? I'd like to check it out in full English, but as a minimalist, I don't like having all the other (Chinese specific, useless to me) pre-configured stuff like baidu loaded up. It seems like a neat ROM to check out, but personally I'd be curious to see if anyone mods it more for global use.
Edit: I know it's not gonna be perfect, but I was wondering if this was still considered beta or is it "stable" now?

Read the second post, I addressed languages, you can run it in English it's always been an option in the setup. This ROM is the definition of a Global ROM, it has probably every language android has available as an option, and runs on CDMA and gsm carriers.
Its been stable for some time now, but with the switch to the M7 kernel and its steps backwards I've marked it alpha again, when the M7 base is back to where the DLX kernel used to be, it'll go back to beta.

MoKee got me off carbon. Running mokee on my DNA and nexus 7 now. English definitely works fine on everything except that market app that comes with it...
I got a lot of random reboots on the latest build I did with the m7 kernel. Anyone else got that or was my build a little off?
Went back to an earlier build and it's running fine.

If its everytime you turn off the screen or the screen powers off, its your build. Try mine and see if it happens, if it doesn't, I can correct that for you. While mokee seems to have the dlx in their sources, it's broken so I doubt it's actually maintained by anyone that builds or uses it. I don't use their trees I use my own, got tired of correcting the same mistakes over and over again
Edit: I sent a pull request to correct that, you can see it here https://github.com/MoKee/android_device_htc_dlx/pull/4 and you can easily implement it yourself.

Are you sure that this was a problem and not a bandaid? Are they using the right vendor tree (TheMuppets)? Your fix and the description of the problem, sound like you / MoKee may be missing this commit from the vendor tree.

[ROM][OFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 11.0 Nightlies for the Verizon LG G3 (vs985)

WARNING: cm-11.0 nightlies have stopped for this device/variant. While these builds will likely stick around and be usable, they will no longer be updated. See here for cm-12.0 nightlies: http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...m-cyanogenmod-12-0-nightlies-verizon-t2998037

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Sweet! Too bad it's not CM12 quite yet but now we have an official build.
I'm not ready to jump on CM12 yet until some more things are worked out but CM11 official is running great. So nice to be on CM again rather than stock! Thanks for your time & efforts invisiblek.
FYI: The CM updater doesn't play nice with Philz recovery, CWM is fine as expected, have not tried TWRP.
@invisiblek thanks for this, been running it since first posted (unofficial).
quick question, im working on a bug list for all roms for reference, is this just a continuance of the unofficial version? just trying to keep the list accurate.
thanks

I've tried to reproduce the screen on bug, but its rather difficult to do it seems. Any time I try to examine it, it doesn't happen. A log of it happening world be amazing.
In call bt audio is fixed. That was the main thing I was holding off officials for.
It doesn't happen all the time for me either...but it does happen...weird issue..I haven't played with the new nightly yet but will very soon...I just played around with the unofficial CM12 build too and it seems to happen on that too...its like the phone doesn't realize you've pulled the phone away from your head after ending a call.

So far after a few calls I haven't experienced the sensor issue. It happened after every call on liquid smooth. I'll give BT a try in the morning when I leave for work. Just enabled ART and so far so good. New DD for sure.

So far this is running pretty amazing! Thought I had the screen on after call bug, but I could be wrong and mistaking that for yesterday haha as I just placed a call and it seems to be working fine now. The only other issue I had (and this isn't a deal breaker, but I've seen it on here and on cm12, as well as another aosp rom I want to say so I know it's a definite issue), is that occasionally the expandable volumes panel loses its "expand" button on the right hand side, and so the only volume adjustable is the default top one. Changing the panel setting to something else and back to expandable again seemed to fix it for me, otherwise a reboot does as well, but just figured I'd note this in case no one else has. Thanks again for this! I finally got my brother to start rocking this on his phone, which is no easy task and for a nightly build today's seems real solid. Thank you so much for all your hard work @invisiblek!!!
I have to agree with ^^^ for a nightly this is a solid build. I tested BT today. First try it didn't work but on the second try all was good. Haven't had issues with the sensor during calls yet either. I was also having issues with Pandora on liquids ROM but it works fine here. That you!! I look forward to a stable CM12!!!
So if I flash this I can't go back to stock??

Please make sure you read every step in the OP and then read every step again before you flash anything. I'm not saying this to be rude, I just want you to be informed as it seems you may be a newer flasher.
1. Yes you can always go back to stock whether with a KDZ/TOT or with a nandroid backup.
2. You can flash this in any custom recovery. If I'm not mistaken we do not have CWM, we have TWRP and Philz.
Let us know if you have any other questions! =)
PS, flashing this does technicially void your warranty.
EDIT - it would appear I am, in fact, mistaken. @invisiblek has a CWM build located in the recovery folder for our device. =)

I wouldn't. Flashing a ROM is equivalent to installing a new operating system on your computer. Updating has no impact on the new ROM and you start with a clean slate.
Make sure you back up any data you want to keep and then do a clean wipe (wipe everything except external SD).

[ROM] CyanogenMod 13.0 Nightlies

Edit: I no longer own this phone. Information in the OP may be outdated and/or incorrect. Please go to the new thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-nightlies-snapshots-t3363769
DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR DEVICES CAUSED BY FLASHING THESE BUILDS. THE UPSTREAM CODE AND BUILDING IS MAINTAINED BY THE CYANOGENMOD TEAM, NOT ME. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR TEAM, I AM JUST THE THREAD OWNER.
It was a fun round of unofficial nightlies but the official upstream CM13 builder for shamu is active! Please use the new download links below to grab the official nightlies. Dirty flash seems to work fine if you go from my unofficial 11-29 build to the official 11-30 one. As mentioned in the first post, I will be ceasing my personal builds for now and leave it to the CM team.
Notes: CyanogenMod's stock kernel forces encryption of storage. Please download one of the third party kernels if you wish to avoid this. Also this thread assumes you have kept up to date with bootloaders and radio. At the time of writing, the latest is from the MRA58K release and can be downloaded here.

Correct, but not nightly and as far as I can tell albinoman887 is also making fixes which implies altering of upstream code. My thread intends to serve as a purely upstream source build.

I would like to say thank you, and I believe that this ROM deserves its own thread respectfully. Since there isn't much action from that other Alpha build and if you are truly building on a nightly basis then this is much appreciated and I look forward to testing.
Thanks!

A Thread with Zero Support from the Thread OP and no Nightlys , its good to see this Thread with hopfully regular updates since I currently have working in the border guarding Work and never have time for building. But what i know from @djh816 updates come many times.

Thanks for the support and glad to build it. Just to make sure credit is given where due, any bug fixes will be made only by the CyanogenMod team and/or any git contributors. Not sure if you'll get much support from me either but I'll certainly be glad to give any tips I find. For example, if this one specific bug rears its ugly head again, you may need to rename the SetupWizard apk inside /system/app-priv/ as that has been constantly force closing for me prior to today's build.

No support for me no problem , only 1 builds in 3 Weeks in this early stage is a problem , thats what i mean . I have at the moment zero time , i am one day in the week at home and thats time for my son and my wife
Thanks for the builds. I tried (unsuccessfully) to build my own, so this helps out a lot!

Does ad away work on this build? It wouldn't work on the previous build.
Is security disable on the ROM?

Will you be adding any features or will this be more of a slim to stock cm13 builds? Also thanks for your contributions

No features added whatsoever If they add it upstream (included in CM) it'll be here, otherwise no. Absolutely stock. Consider me a third party buildbot slave
Very nice ROM. Just to let everyone know I just finished flashing with the Open GApps Pico and it's working fine. I know, it's bad form to use something that's not recommended.
One quick question, do we get any notification that the new nightly is ready to flash or do we just check the download site?

For now just the download site. I may setup something similar to the pushbullet feed Chroma has if people are interested but haven't spent the time to do it yet. New 11-23 build is up now though
Edit: Woot, looks like they fixed the system rw mounting. Hm but my test file disappeared on reboot.. maybe not yet

[DISCONTINUED] [8.1.0] [Oreo] [Treble] [GSI] [Unofficial] [AICP-Mordiford]

Unofficial AICP-Mordiford
Your warranty is now void. We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war or you get fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Hard & a lot.
Credits:
In the beginning, we would like to thank: AICP-mordiford for Project Treble. Then the teams of LineageOS, OmniRom, DU, SlimRoms, Resurrection Remix and AICP.
Special mention to @LorD ClockaN, @zipsnet, @eyosen, @semdoc, @Drgravy, @Hashbang173, @SpiritCroc, @wartomato, @eboye, @maxwen.
Download link: AICP-mordiford for Project Treble
It is strongly recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
Issues:
So called "Technicolor" bug when moving into or out dark mode, or when using Substratum themes, when icons and the screen got weird colors effects and stripes. Generally, you could boot into recovery and wipe Dalvik/Cache.
Sometimes, you need two cycles of booting and wiping Dalvik. This is a bug that is currently affecting almost all Treble ROMs.
Additional links:

Supported Devices: all Project Treble enabled devices should work. Some are listed here.
Please, do not post bugs/issues at the official AICP Communities because this is unofficial build.

Ok, now I understand. Sorry if I looked bitter, it was not my intention. Right now, AICP team is studying if we can (or cannot) go further with it. If we can or we move to official AICP, we can consider doing it. As each system file needs to be individually built, it is just the matter of having more hours available to compile.

Like you, I hope I get the green light to go further with AICP. If now, I'll have to drop. I don't have any other GSI ROM that is currently working in my phone, so I decided to compile. I made almost 10 tests - RR, AEX, AOSP, Carbon, crDroid, etc. - and could only manage to build AICP.

Hi,
the current status is *not* that we prohibit unofficial builds nor GSI builds.
Adding them to official is a nice thought.
The problem is the unofficial mordiford branch and that calling it AICP might make users come to our mentioned communits, Gerrit, etc. or looking at our sources that are not mordiford's one.
Just give us some time to sort things out internally please.

[ROM] [9.0] [Official] MoKee OpenSource Project

Stolen from @insomnixXx: (Sorry buddy, I'm a bit lazy ) I AM NOT THE DEVELOPER OF THIS ROM NOR A MEMBER OF MOKEE TEAM!!!
The purpose of this thread is to "spread the word" for this ROM so many more users can try it and also that they know this option exists too.I am not responsible for any damage you may deal to your device since this is just an "repost" of the ROM.If you don't know what you are doing then better don't do it. Or just follow the instructions lol
For bug reports please contact the MoKee team because it is useless, since nearly all MoKee Dev's are chinese and active on MoKee forum
I will DON'T update the thread or write a personal feedback after every rom update. Their changelog is accessable for everyone, please feel free to read that .
About
MoKee Open Source is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!

Instructions:

Awesome rom, smoother experience, greater battery experience.
Missing: IR remote app, play store IR apps support and need little more customization.
Thanks a million for this rom.

TWRP is necessary. But for incremental updates you need to donate a minimum of 5$ to them.
This is an one-and-only activation cost.
Otherwise you need to flash the whole rom for an update

Maybe it wont work because its a nightly rom.. Please read the full description on their home page, what difference there are for editions
Great work but i have a few bugs:
- I use two sim card and when i setup data on second it keep reverting on first (after reboot or similar).
- On bank app when unlock with FP i get "Token is not unlocked"
This bugs was ok on old android 8 Mokee - phone is X722.
maybe someone knows why all on lineage based and aosp based roms that i install on ZL1 i have wrong battery information? i mean - it can show 20% and then i restart and it shows 70%, and then i restart again and it shows 30%.
it happens on all roms i tried of oreo and pie (lineage, mokee, RR, AEX), and only on zl1 (x720). when i install the same rom on zl0 (x722) i don't have this problem. when i install custom EUI rom i also don't have this problem, but then when i install lineage/mokee/RR again i have this problem again.
