Kernels? - Samsung Galaxy Light Questions & Answers

Just a quick question, is there any other kernels for the galaxy light? Just curious if not then maybe I'll look into making one but I highly doubt it since I have no experience

As of current there is no other kernel for galaxy light only stock.

[Q] Future O/S or custom ROMS make things better?

OK, I'm a noob to tablets...just bought a SGT 10.1 a week ago. That said, I have a question about future ROMs for our tabs.
So, ICS is just around the corner...and so are future custom ROMs. Here's the question: Since people feel that ROMs like Task 10 (and others) already make our SGT 10.1s perform pretty fast...what changes can we expect that will actually make our experience better on the same device?
I must admit, I probably have pretty low expectations as my stock tab already performs pretty well for me. I want to try the Task 10 ROM to see how much better my tab can perform, though. I've just downloaded ADW to customize my whole device which to me is pretty cool in itself...but it got me to wondering what I should expect from ICS and the likes of CM9 to make things even better?
While I work in the tech world, I'm now a little removed from being the techie I once was. So, perhaps I'm just old and appreciative of what I have now comparing to what I had yesterday? Where do we go from here on the current h/w in our SGT 10.1?
Cheers!

[Q] Wicked Roms for Galaxy Note I717 AT&T

I was looking to out a Wicked Rom on my Galaxy Note ATT. I have Wicked V10 on my Galaxy S3 ATT and was wondering if the same rom file would work on my Note. Can't find it specifically for the Note. Can someone offer some knowledge on this?
I'm not an expert at all. Anything is possible. Especially if you've got money. But the rom would brick your phone if you tried it. You'd have to compare hardware of the two to see how similar they are. The more differences, the harder it will be to port the rom.
What about the rom do you like? Maybe some features or apps could be easily extracted and installed.
I like the overall look of the rom. I like the toggle bar. Startup and shutdown animations. Just an overall cool rom. I know the toggle bar I could get in a launcher like Go but, I just wanted that particular rom on my phone. Any cool roms similiar to wicked?

galaxy note roms question

this may be a dumb question... but can anyother roms from different phones be used on our galaxy notes? example. when i had the htc inspire i noticed rom updates not becoming as frequent, then i was informed i could use roms from the desire hd and they were updated more often in that section even though the were basically the same phones just different networks..... Just curious as roms seem to be very similar for galaxy note and could be because of note 2 being released idk just wondering thank you
Only ROMs from a I717x are compatible.
Flashing ROMs from another phone is a very dangerous thing unless you want to intentionally brick your device.

[Q] ROM with TV out support

This is a question about custom ROMs...it's the first time I'm really looking for one, and before anyone suggests CM - that is useless to me due to lack of functioning MHL.
So I'm looking for a ROM that has all the phone features functional (as in "in a usable for daily life degree").
I'm an Android game/app reviewer and I've been looking at apps for screen recording, but seeing how none of them allow for a reasonable experience on a Galaxy S2, I'll stick with external capture...and since I can't afford any better device right now, I thought I'd turn to custom ROMs for a while.
...so any suggestions?
[btw, I'm using the Galaxy S2 GT-i9100 international variant]
Not gonna recommend a cusROM as that's against XDA rules....but as a general answer, have you looked at the 'hybrid' ROMs?..... Samsung based but without the bloat and with the added customizability of aosp/aokp.
If MHL is a Sammy standard, then they *should* include it
This might be my S2, or it might be my W...but it's definitely CM

Technically, my question is about something pretty much no ROM developer ever addressed so it shouldn't be against the rules o_o
Anyway, is there any "list" topic of place where I can find hybrid roms only?
Look for alliance rom or biftor rom or neat rom ect ect. Sammy based roms are hybrid roms.

Pros and cons

I'm thinking of buying SGS6E. Is there anything against doing it? How do u like stock rom? Is it possible to switch go CM or AOSP? Is battery life really that good? Are there any device related problems that do not allow to do something (like S3 one with closed drivers)?
