Time2Touch GC944B 9 Inch Tablet - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello All,
I am looking at building my own rom for my tablet after playing with it for a while it seems sluggish even with the quadcore CPU, would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?
I would like to know where to start I am willing to learn the rest on my own.
Here are the specs of the device:
Processor:
Processor Chipset: Rockchip RK3126
Processor: Quadcore Cortex A7 1.3 GHz
Instruction Sets: armeabi-v7a, armeabi
GPU:
GPU: ARM Mali-400MP
OpenGL Version: OpenGL ES 2.0
Audio Chip:
Audio Chipset: Rk30sdk
RAM:
RAM: 512 MB
The sensor information on the device states Android Open Source Project or AOSP on each one which suggests that a custom rom is all ready on the device, would someone be able to point me in the correct direction for the firmware binaries so that I could build a generic rom for the device?
Here is more information on the device itself from the manufacturer http://www.time2direct.com/android-...944b-9-quadcore-android-kitkat-tablet-pc.html
I've emailed them but I haven't had a response from them.
I have found these two links which I believe to be correct for the device

Custom ROM for my Android HDMI stick - Allwinner A13- Cortex A8

Hello XDA Assist,
Please provide the correct forum link or update the thread so that it can reach to correct audience. I have search some thread before starting but can not find anything related for my device.
I am using a Android HDMI Mini PC stick from last few years and now want to install a custom ROM on it but not sure where to start. I have read couple of forums but the information are so vast that i am not able to grab, what i understand that first basic thing to do is to identify your hardware correctly to find compatible custom ROM and that i did using CPU-Z App then i tried to find compatible ROM but i don't know how to relate the chipset information to find custom ROM and what all are the things i need to check before proceed, So can anyone guide me in below please ?
1. Were i can find the custom ROM like CyanogenMod or similar which can be installed on my Android stick?
2. If i found one then what will be the steps to install it?
3. How take a backup of my firmware/OS so that if anything go wrong then i can restore?
My stick is rooted.
