Hi, thank you for your good work...
i would like to mention i made a back up of stock rom with your twrp for 620s-L01...
When i restore that back up, i don't have ril connection, i am not asked for my code pin

I am unable to flash recovery . It is showing success in fastboot but stock recovery is booted even after flashing this recovery. I am able to boot into recovery by connecting to pc. (fastboot boot twrp2.8.7.0_cherry_en_f2fs.img). What to do?

You should flash the latest official release.
I met the same issue and solved it by this.
It seems that the very very old bootloader will restore official recovery and boot automatically.

Tried on nubia z9 max, nothing different

Hi Guys,
I attempted to install the twrp recovery and fastboot seemed to install it ok, but I can't get into it via vol-up & power. when i try to boot the recovery using fastboot (under windows) i get the following :
C:\ADB>fastboot boot twrp2.8.7.0_cherry_en_f2fs.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.332s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.343s
The phone is running the new che2-l11 lollipop 5.1 build ... could this be the problem? The phone IS unlocked.
Just tried it again on a different pc. and the phone is sitting on the honor boot screen with vol-up & power.

CWM Recovery MediaPad 10 Link+ (S10-231u)

Ported CWM Recovery's for MediaPad 10 Link+ (S10-231u)
Hey guys!
after many hours of working and testing i managed to get some CWM Recoverys on a Mediapad 10 Link+.
The CWM Recoverys are based on Pyramid CWM or Carlivs Recoverys and the basic functions that I've tested are working.
Thx to carliv for his tools and recoveries, XDA and HWMOD's thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1774354) because they gave me the infos on porting a CWM.
What i did was using the newest Pyramid CWM or Carliv Recovery with a 1280x800 resolution i was able to find and replace it with my own modified recovery.fstab, init.rc, kernel and default.prop from my Mediapad.
Hope to see a working ROM in the future! :good:
HowTo:
1. Root the device and unlock the Bootloader via ADB
2. Go into Fastboot mode by holding POWER + Volume Down (Tablet must be turned off and the USB Cable connected to your PC)
3. Flash a recovery.img via "Fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
4. Turn the Device Off
5. Boot into Recovery by holding POWER + Volume Up + Volume Down until the Screen turns on. Then release the POWER Button and only hold Volume Up + Volume Down until you're in CWM Recovery
Ported Recovery's
- Cannibal OpenTouch Recovery 2.1.3 (stable, all features seem to work)
- CWM Recovery 5.8.0.9, 6.0.0.3, 6.0.1.2
- Carliv Touch Recovery 2.7
Known Bugs:
- USB Mounting doesn't work (older CWM versions)
- Unmounting /system (CWM, Carliv Touch Recovery) which is main problem for backup, wiping, restore
Download Folder:
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/0msxwj6501wva/Huawei_Mediapad_10_Link+_Recoverys
Avoid formatting or wiping partitions at the moment because this is not stable and still a work in progress!

UPDATE:
Managed to get the Cannibal Open Touch fully working with all features!
I was able to backup my original system, wipe all datas and restore without any problems.
USB Mounting and ADB in Recovery work aswell, i wasn't able to find something that doesn't work.
I will upload the new Cannibal Open Touch to the Mediafire Folder within the next minutes.
Now its time to figure out how Custom Roms work on the tablet.
Hello! I do want to try this but I can't find a rooting method that will work with latest ota update. Could you please point me in the right direction. Thanks for all the work you have done, I just got this tablet a month ago or so.

Hey,
I have the s10-231w and flashed the every single recovery of these but my recovery is now broken. The device itself is still working, same with fastboot but the recovery alone is bricked. Apparently this guide is not working for s10-231w.
My bootloader is unlocked, device is rooted and I get successful message when flashing recovery in fastboot: Attachment.
Could someone somehow upload their recovery of the s10-231w?, I've downloaded the stock rom few times but its applied from the device itself (by putting the dload file in root folder and go to settings-Update-Local and try to update from there. However, the device tries to enter recovery after that which is a stuck screen).
Best Regards
Hi,
thanks for your hard work!
I flashed Cannibal OpenTouch Recovery 2.1.3 and can boot into custom recovery.
However, I accidentally wiped the OS without making a backup before.
I tried to flash the firmware found here h**p://consumer.huawei.c*m/en/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=19702, but the custom recovery log says:
Code:
-- Installing: /sdcard/S10-231u_V100R001C232B001_Client_Software_General_android_4.2_EMUI_1.6_05012FCU.zip
Finding update package...
I:Update location: /sdcard/S10-231u_V100R001C232B001_Client_Software_General_android_4.2_EMUI_1.6_05012FCU.zip
Opening update package...
Installing update...
Installation aborted.
I extracted the zip-file and it seems to be an update.
So can anyone provide the stock rom please?
BTW: I tried to restore the original recovery by flashing recovery-original.img which results into a boot loop with mediapad logo. So I reflashed Cannibal OpenTouch Recovery 2.1.3.
Best regards,
anderklatsche

That isn't due to Linux man, it's because we have a unfinished kernel!

Unofficial TWRP & TWRP installer for MOTO one Power

This TWRP & TWRP Installer is Unofficial.
Official TWRP Can find on following link : https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-power/how-to/official-twrp-motorola-one-power-t3848354
NOTE:- Decryption support available now for TWRP in Fastboot mode only (TWRP installer currently not support for decryption)
Credit & Thanks
@erfanoabdi for bringing officeal TWRP for MOTO one Power
Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) is an open-source software custom recovery image for Android-based devices. It provides a touchscreen-enabled interface that allows users to install third-party firmware and back up the current system, functions often unsupported by stock recovery images. It is, therefore, often installed when rooting Android devices, although it isn't dependent on a device being rooted to be installed.
Warning:-
I am not responsible for bricked devices.
Your warranty will void now. Do it at your own Risk.
Requirement:-
1. Unlock Bootloader Link By @rushiranpise :- https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-power/how-to/guide-motorola-one-power-unlock-relock-t3858797
2. Minimal adb & fastboot install on pc :- https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Note: - As google introduce the partation AB for android one devices so there is no recovery partation sepereatly .
We need to patch recovery into Boot.img.
Guide:-
1. Download Twrp recovery.img & TWRP Installer. keep TWRP_recovery.img in adb folder and copy twrp insatller to sd card of phone
2. go to settings/about phone/build number (tap build no for 7 time now developer option available in settings)
3. go to developer option turn on usb debugging .
4. then go to pc download and extract and copy adb fastboot driver folder in Drive C. (or install form net.)
5. Go in fastboot folder which is copied to C. press and hold shift key on your key board and click right key on your mouse . it will show option open cmd here or open power shell window here.
6. Click it, A cmd window will open. or you can open CMD in pc as admin and use cd cmd to adb minimul folder.
type "adb devices" - it show some no of your device in cmd window on pc if not just revoke adb from your phone developer setting and give permission from your phone screen)
type "adb reboot bootloader" your phone reboot in bootloader mode.
Now Type in CMD :-1. fastboot devices (a device no. will show in cmd window on pc) if not means fastboot not installed properly reinstall it.
2. fastboot boot TWRP_recovery.img (phone will boot in twrp temporary)
(Now if you want to read your internal storage in twrp then you need to wipe by select format data option at bottem right of twrp. Beware it will erase all data from your phone ) if you not want then skip this
3. select install option and select sd card from select storage option from twrp.
4. select twrp installer which you copied into sd card and install.
Done TWRP now installed into boot. reboot to recovery and then reboot to system.
Note:- you need to flash this installer after every rom flashing or boot flashing to patch boot again because now twrp is inside the boot itself
New Link TWRP3.3.1 (update)- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iRpOyUA-FleNwiWO7Rmu5kEeWjgmDBox (decryption support)
Link TWRP3.3.0 (update)- https://drive.google.com/open?id=1k5nZ3AfAd8GEkbPN3ntPj7c922VbqqfZ (decryption support)
As in TWRP 3.3.0 there is no need of twrp installer zip, in advance function of twrp there is option to install ramdisk into boot. this option is available but not working for us . it is installing but stuck on teamwin logo so use only as boot in twrp don't install it.

How to Take Nandroid Backup and Restore (Only for Decryption support twrp)
1. boot into twrp via fastboot and enter your pin or password to decrypt.
2. Most important - go to backup and unselect oem and system and vendor. (there are two system and vendor unselect one and only select system image and vendor image to take backup)
3. now select storage where to take backup either internal or external or usb otg.
4. take backup.
5. For restore select restore and do.
6. step 2 is most improtant never use these partition to take backup or restore.
Note:- if after restore phone not boot properly or any issue don't panic restore stock rom(which backup you have) & boot and do process again to resotre. always better to restore only boot, system image and vendor image and data only.
Version-4
added all official support in this
Removed MTP & fix bugs for wiping partition
Removed Toybox & included busybox
advance versoin then official TWRP(Compiled with PIE source)
Decryption Working now (Not in installer)

try transferring the .img file to sd card first and then try the same command
maybe it will help
you can try these methods too:
i) check if the bootloader is getting lock again
ii) you've turned on oem unlocking in develeper options
iii) check the partiton isn't corrupted
and if these does not help you try factory resetting your device.
good luck

it should do the work

It's of no use now that there are no 64 bit roms.

We already have an Android 10 X64 Rom in testing, and also an X64 version of Orange Fox Recovery.

The bootloader is expecting the stock recovery.img; not mali.img. it is also expecting a certain hash and other identifying features.
To the bootloader the image is corrupted. To us, it`s a modern miracle.

not OEM = corrupt
in combination with a unlocked bootloader = every image is corrupt, even OEM ones
is it normal, that when Im restoring a backup of a rom it is like fresh installing the rom? None of my installed apps are restored, all app data is gone... Did I something wrong or is this custom recovery not working correctly. I mean why should I do a 9gigabyte backup and restore it to get the same result as I could have when simply flashing the 600MB ROM zip

I backed up everything that was available. I think for Data was something like "no ext." mentioned.
Did I had to Mount something before backup/restore?
Its some years ago that I used a custom recovery because of that I was curious about my problem.

No, it's not necessary to mount any partition.
Maybe decryption issues?
Ever since installing this, rebooting always goes into the bootloader. From the bootloader, I can boot into system or recovery without a problem, but... well, there must be a way to fix this. I know that others have the same problem, but has anyone found a fix?
Cheers
fastboot flash recovery mali.img
target reported max download size of 534773760 bytes
sending 'recovery' (21620 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.505s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Image not signed or corrupt
OKAY [ 0.355s]
finished. total time: 0.860s
--> when booting into recovery: "no command". ---> there a fix? Using the "boot" command it is working perfectly, but I'd like to flash so I can install Official RR ROM

Flash TWRP and boot directly into recovery by using Vol-/+ and Power. Do not boot the device into system!

Okay, so:
1. security settings to lock option "password" instead of "pattern" (why you will see in step 7 & 8.)
2. power off
3. power button + volume down --> bootloader
4. in powershell putting "fastboot flash recovery mali.img" command with the output of post #18
5. via volume down button selecting "boot into recovery"
6. TWRP shows up with the "decription"
7. I enter the password which I set in the OS in step 1
8. "decription error" --> okay, so I cancel, then going to
9. "Install" in TWRP ---> /sdcard nothing there, altough there should be my zips (RR and magisk)
Thanks!
Edit:
Model XT1925-5 with latest Stock ROM (PPSS29.55-337-7-10) installed and bootloader unlocked (of course)

fastboot - not booting to recovery.

Hello, owner of the RN 5 here
After the command fastboot boot twrp.img my device do not enter the twrp, but displays the mi logo and "unlocked" status.
The same happens when I use orange fox recovery.
What might have caused that?
The device is unlocked (the official way) .
Connection (cable, drivers, etc) seems to be ok (anyhow I did unlocked the BL)
C:\redmi-unlock\platform-tools_r30.0.2-windows\platform-tools>fastboot devices

C:\redmi-unlock\platform-tools_r30.0.2-windows\platform-tools>fastboot boot C:\redmi-unlock\twrp-3.3.1-0-vince.img
Sending 'boot.img' (36784 KB) OKAY [ 0.778s]
Booting OKAY [ 0.143s]
Finished. Total time: 0.964s

Well, that didnt work - copying both twrp and orange recovery changed nothing (still MI logo and "unlocked" status after the command fastboot boot image_file.img).
