[Guide] How to make your Galaxy A7/A5/A3 more stylish and a bit faster. - Galaxy A3, A5, A7, A8, A9 General

Hello guys in this guide I will show you how to make your Galaxy A7 look a lot better and to be more responsive. This guide will work for both firmware versions (KitKat 4.4.4 , Lollipop 5.0.2) and it's aimed towards all kind of users be a newbie or power user. Up to this date we have not seen any development of custom ROMs for the A7 as well as its little brothers A5 and A3 so the annoying Touchwiz is all we have for now. To be honest I owned the phone for about a month and the lack of customization is driving me cray-cray , so I thought I should better find a temporary solution to get rid of that ****** preloaded Samsung ROM.
In this guide I will be covering some stuff that are not quite difficult to do and are guaranteed to give your phone a new more premium feel.
So let's get started shall we?
1)Disabling S-Voice
First off , we have to make our phone a lot more responsive to our actions be pressing the back button or just going back to home. Samsung has equipped our phones with the S-Voice; an application aimed to rival Siri,Cortana and Google Voice, although it's somewhat good it makes our phone a bit slower when pressing the Home button and that is because when you double tap the home button S-Voice activates so we need to disable that second that our system waits for our second tap. To do so :
i)Open up your Apps drawer
ii)Find S-Voice and Open it
iii)On the upper right corner of your screen you will see 3 vertical dots, Tap on them and then press the settings tab.
iv)The 4th option should be Open via the home key and should be activated, So just click on it to deactivate it.
Simple as that!
2)Reducing the animation speeds
So this one is a bit tricky but nothing to worry. By reducing the animations you get a faster more responsive feeling.
So to do that you have to activate Developer Options on your settings. It's pretty easy!
i) Go to your settings.
ii)Navigate to the About Device tab and click on it.
iii)Find the Build Number tab. Then rapidly press for about 10-15 times. A message should come up saying that you have activated the Developer Options.
iv)Go back to your settings and now navigate to Developer Options and click on it
v)Scroll down until you find these 3 tabs: Window animation scale/Transition animation scale/Animator duration scale. All of the above should
vi)Click on each of them and set them to 0.5x
That's it you are done. Up untill now your phone should feel a lot more responsive and kinda faster
3)Time to download some Apps/Launchers
For launcher I suggest blindly the Nova Launcher and that is what I will cover in this guide so let's get to downloading and setting it up.
i) Download Nova Launcher from the Google Play [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.launcher&hl=en] and Install it.
ii)Now go to settings and then navigate to Default applications, Open it and Click on the Home tab and select the Nova Launcher option. Then finally press the Home button
So now let's set it up
i) Long press on the Desktop and then select settings
ii)Now Select Desktop
Icon layout -> Icon size 100%, Label -> On , Font -> Condensed , Shadow-Single line ->On
Persistent search bar -> Lollipop
Scroll effect -> Simple
Add icon to Home screen -> Off
iii) App & widget drawers
Scroll effect ->Simple
Infinite scroll -> Off
iv)Dock
Dock icons -> 5
Icon layout -> Icon size 100%, Label -> On , Font -> Condensed , Shadow-Single line ->On
v)Folders
Folder preview -> Grid
Folder background -> Circle(gray icon)
Transition animation -> Zoom
Icon layout -> Icon size 100%, Label -> On , Font -> Condensed , Shadow-Single line ->On, Color -> Black
vi)Look & Feel
Icon theme -> Lollipop
Scroll speed -> Nova
Animation speed -> Fast
So this is it guys, a simple not that hard guide to make your Samsung feel really close to Stock Lollipop. Unfortunately thing like the settings page can't be changed, at least without root. I'm thinking of making a guide for rooted users . It will depend on how this guide will do

Addition 2.0 Rooted users ONLY
Hello guys , after some time and some digging through I managed to find some cool additions regarding the last post In this guide I will be focusing on additions that ONLY Rooted will be able to pull off . Although the steps are not really hard , I suggest you proceed with your own risk, I am not responsible if anything happens to your device. (Although I will gladly help you if you need anything).
In order to proceed you have to check if you are Rooted , else this will not work.
So we will be doing the following things to our devices. [I have tested them on my Galaxy A700F running Lollipop (on TrapKernel) , But you should be fine no matter what phone from the A-Series (A3, A5, A7 and all of the other variants) you have.]
1)Adding a working Navigation Bar
2)Disabling the softkeys (Back and App Swapping Button)(and the backlights)
What will we need for this:
1)An A-series Rooted phone (duh!)
2)A Build.prop editor (For this I will be using a multiapp called "Device Control", But any build.prop editor should work)
3)Patience
4)And to follow my steps
Before we proceed I warn you that there are some bugs like the nav bar being consistent while youtube playback and while shutting of the device but I am looking for away to resolve them , so stay tuned !
Now let's begin
i) First of all download from the Playstore the Device Control app.

"lightbox_share": "Share",

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.namelessrom.devicecontrol&hl=en
ii) Open it,and grant SuperUser access
iii)Hit the 3 vertical lines on the upper left corner, scroll down and tap on the "More..." tab
iv)Open up the Build.Prop option
v)Now hit the "+" on the upper right corner and type the following
Name
qemu.hw.mainkeys
Value
0
It should look like this:
vi) Hit save and then restart your device. When it's all booted up you should notice that the new Nav Bar is there and is usable.
But the Appswitch and Back buttons are still working so we should get rid of them.
i) Go to the Playstore and download RootBrowser
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.root.browserfree&hl=en
ii) Open it and grant SuperUser access
iii) Now follow the steps
system->usr->keylayout
then you should see Generic.kl . Click on it then "Open as..."->Text file ->RB Text Editor
iv) Ok so now you should be somewhat careful . Scroll down till you find the following numbers
139, 158, 254
After you find them just put the "#" in front of the "key" word WITHOUT spaces. It should look like this
v) Save and exit
vi) Go to settings -> Display and Wallpaper -> Touch key light duration -> Always off
vii) Exit and restart your device.
Now once you restart the following should happen :
1)Back and appswitch button should not work/light at all.
2)You should have a fully working navigation bar.
3)Your Home button should work fine.
If anything from the above doesn't work as it should , make sure you followed the instructions correctly.
Important info: The screenshot button combination changed to Power+Volume down. (Thanks to @amitb96)
The above steps should give your device some new feel more premium and if you followed the last tutorial on how to make your phone more stylish, this addition will look really good.

Thanks mate. Really awesome thread. Specially "For Rooted section".

Uhm hey, thanks for your kind words. To be honest I have forgotten about this guide and your words truly made my day, thanks a lot , I have now switched smartphones so I can't really provide solid support ,although I'm done with my studies. From what I can understand you have the 2016 model which means that you'll have to wait some serious amount of time for someone to actively work with the phone. If I'm not mistaken it took the guys here around 6-7 months to find a workaround for the phone, so hang in there buddy. Lastly be sure that your phone is a beast and that won't pass unnoticed. Anyways have a great day [emoji1] [emoji1]

Thanks a lot mate for your reply.
Yap. It`s the 2016 model and really it`s a beast.
Let`s see how many times we`ve to wait.
Have a great day mate.
BTW, are you using LG G3 ?
I had this one. Really excellent device.
2015 model (which you had) has got RR and CM now.
And one thing, really you wrote excellent (SOLD due to lack of support and active community).

MiLauncher for Tablets
I'm proud to announce the overhaul of the MIUI Launcher for Tablets.
It's been a very long time since I've updated the project, as when I left it, (due to not owning a tablet any more) I believed that it was working as I had intended on Tablets, sadly, as of Android 4.3 that was no longer the case.
With the release of Android 4.4 I obtained another tablet and decided to update the project. This is the result of my work, my research and the help of a few others, who will be mentioned below.
Please, provide feedback, hit thanks, and most importantly, enjoy it. Please understand that this is currently in beta, the bugs that it currently contains are all small graphical quality of life ones, and I'll be getting right on those.
As someone who is studying full time, please understand that I don't have a lot of free time, but I'll do my best to update this regularly and respond to any concerns or issues you may have.
I do not give permission for my work to be redistributed, direct linked or posted anywhere else other then XDA-developers.com or en.miui.com forums. Anyone who shares this must post a link to this thread and give credit.
Landscape Mode Only - Persistent for the moment.
Grid Sizing Options;
-6x6
-7x5
-8x5
-8x6
Pretty MIUI Icons
Various Transition Effects
Hide apps from your home screen and make their access pin protected!
MIUI Widgets
MIUI Theme Market
Android 2.3-4.4 support
Code:
Beta 1:
31st March 2014
Initial re-release
Based off MiHome 2.22.0
Resolved an issue where the launcher would not open on Android 4.3 and 4.4 devices
Not really a ton to say as of yet
They're probably a little giant, brace yourself.

Bug or Graphical Issue / Work around
Beta 1:
The weather clock 4x2, Clock 2x1 and Clock 2x2 do not appear graphically correct on the HP Touchpad.
> Pending further feedback from other devices.
In the Launcher Settings -> Launcher: There is text that does not appear in english.
>This is the Hide Apps With a Pin Function.
Static Wallpapers seem blurred when using this launcher on the HP Touchpad.
> Pending further feedback from other devices, not sure if this is device specific or not, Live Wallpapers Seem to Work Fine.
There is text that does not appear in english in the themes market
Obviously as the market stuff is server side, I can't change that, however there may be a few local images > Pending further investigation.
MIUI Express Locker is terribly scaled, low res and buggy
> Disable Express Locker, which is stated in the install instructions anyway.
This is something I'm still looking into and I'm not sure if I can fix it, generally it's about as buggy and slow as most lock screen replacements anyway,
not sure if they've improved that from the last time I used MiHome on a phone > Pending further investigation.
If you have an issue be it graphical or performance based, the first step is to make sure it isn't a bug from your rom,
if you've excluded that possibility, post in the main thread, for me to be able to do anything with it, you must include;
Code:
Your Device Name
Your Android Version
Your Current Rom
Your Device DPI
Version of this Launcher
The problem.
If you haven't followed the install instructions below, don't expect me to do anything to resolve your issue until you do.
Part 1:
Download and Install MiHome-Step1.apk
Once the launcher loads slide up from above the nav bar and hit "Launcher Settings."
Scroll down the options until you find "Cell Layout Type"
Hit it and select the option that suits your device best
Please choose wisely because you'll need to re-install the app to change this.
Part 2
Download and Install ZSC.mihome.BX.apk, (X being the latest version number)
You will be prompted to update MiHome, obviously confirm it.
Once MiHome loads, you may or may not notice a rather mangled looking clock widget.
I am aware of this and for the moment, delete it.
Head into launcher settings, if you don't have a physical menu button look in the next section.
Hit the "Lockscreen" option, uncheck "Use MiHome Locker",
this is the lockscreen replacement Xiaomi includes with the launcher.
It doesn't play well with larger screens or landscape as of the moment
Optional But Very Recommended
If you do not have a physical menu key,
long press an empty part of the screen and hit the "Toolbox" icon.
Select the "Launcher Settings" icon on the far right.
You'll see the icon is on your home screen, open the settings.
Hit the "Launcher" option, look down at the last option "Choose Swipe Up Gesture Function"
Hit it and select the last option "Swipe up to open Menu."
Now you can view all your options by sliding up from above the nav bar again!
If your transitions seem slow, or strange when changing home pages,
Head into "Launcher Settings", Hit Launcher
Hit "Screen Transition Effects" and select something other than "Classic",
This is optional, but Classic looks silly and makes the launcher seem less fluid.
It may also appear strangely on some devices.
Beta 1:
Step 1 - Refer to the Instructions
Step 2 - Refer to the Instructions
Code:
I'm not responsible for anything that happens to your device, but I highly doubt anything will.
What's with the lockscreen?
Needs to be disabled unless you want a terribly blurry and upscaled lock screen.
I am not a fan of MIUI, but still wanted to test this out.
I just wanted to say, seemed stable, smooth and quick, except when opening folders, seemed to take IMO too long, but otherwise great start
Epiiiic thx alot
how do you rearrange the icons in alphabetical order?
Unfortunately I will no longer be updating this project as I am still quite sick and it works as intended for Tablets.
Can you update it to the newest version of miui launcher because it has had quite a bit of updates since you released this. Otherwise great job I love miui awesome though not having an appdrawer is a little inconvenient on a tablet.

And is it posible to use MIUI V5 for tablets and MiHome for smartphones at the same time?
Public Service Announcement ♥
Howdy Everyone! Zerosuit Connor here,
For the past six months I've been very unwell and without an android device, but just recently I managed to obtain another tablet and I long for the sweet taste of MIUI. That's why I'm pleased to announce that I'll be updating this project with Android 4.4 support and a few fixes, so please look forward to that.
A little under a month ago I locked the downloads, by changing the public permissions, and I put the wrong type of privacy setting on the files. Meaning, that because of my mess-up, anyone with the links could send an email through Google drive and directly to my account. Because of the high volume of emails I got, I decided to leave the links like that to see what kind of demand there still was. This was the result.
In regards to the downloads being locked, that was due to a large number of sites either; direct linking to the download, or re-uploading it. The worst part about this was that many did not give me credit, and others took the credit for themselves. All of the formerly mentioned misdoings were against my wishes, and despite what was written on my original post and numerous warnings from myself, many of them still continued. I am sorry that you've all had to suffer because of this.
Thank you for your continued support, and I'll keep you posted! Within the next 1-2 days I'll be back with a few questions about the kind of devices you own! ♥

Should be ready very shortly, as of the moment I'm on the fence about uploading what I've got now, and branding it as a beta, or polishing it and having everyone wait a little longer. OP will be updated further in a few hours.
As for a little preview of what you have to look forward to.
Updated, new overhauled version posted. Please thoroughly read the Original Post and Instructions. Thankyou.
Hi,
Just receive my Nexus 10 today. I will try that this evening. I'm a fellow user of MIUI on my Nexus 4 and love MIUI launcher.
Thanks for your work.

I have flashed this 6 times with wiping everything except formating data and No Air Cmd.. 3 times in a row with formating data and all 3 WITH Air cmd.
If your loading up the rom for the first time and your sitting at the verizon screen....it will be a while, you have to think about it like this
-VM is being built for the first time
-The rom just got ODEXED so it has to build the data cache as well
Honestly first boot after the install takes about 8-9 minutes. Best way to tell your phone is still on the right track, if your on the verizon screen, and your LED is lit up blue it is still building everything for initial boot. Once the BLUE led light goes out, you will be booting into system momentarily at the welcome screen. Please be patient
If your having trouble with air command, BEFORE YOU EVEN DO ANYTHING OR TOUCH ANYTHING. goto settings after the setup WITH THE S PEN STILL IN THE PHONE. click menu, switch to tabbed view, goto controls, turn on air view and air command, and THEN pull out the pen and test it. DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS OR ENABLE AIR COMMAND ON THE STANDARD SETTINGS VIEW UNTIL YOU HAVE GONE TO TABBED VIEW AND TURNED THEM ON WITH THE PEN STILL IN THE HOLSTER FROM BOOT UP. Thank you for reading
Reporting a bug/fc..
So here is what I need in order to help. Download a logcat application from the market. Do what you have to in order to reproduce the issue. Load the logcat to either pastebin or drop box and paste the link. We cannot fix issues based on pictures (unless theme related). We also need the following information.
-Clean or dirty install?
-Recovery used?
-Stock app?
-Reproducible?
-Frequency?
We will be updating the OP of both the Rom thread and this Q&A thread with this information. Without this information we are shooting blind and it slows down the troubleshooting process. This should be a prerequisite for any bug report
Why doesn't Wifi work or in setup it just sits there?
Before installing this rom you MUST FLASH THE MJ9 OTA firmware released by beans for ODIN ONLY.
This will ensure proper functionality of your phone and this ROM. This rom requires an updated pit, TZ, Hidden, params and modem to function the way it was meant to.
The only way to get these updated is via odin flash.
Also well before flashing this rom, please remove all files you would like to keep a copy of from internal storage.
Switching to 4.3 from 4.1.2 changes quite a bit, including the location of the internal SD cards memoryblock.
You will need to wipe Internal SD
Why isn't GPS working?
You need to flash MinorFixV1.zip in top header, under Downloads. Sorry it was a bug we didn't catch believe it or not..HAHA
Why doesn't Air Command work?
A few things you need to try..Did you guys wipe data and internal sd? Then make sure you go into settings>menu key>select tab view>Controls>turn ON Air Command. Still not working? Turn everything off in on the spen page as well as air command and air view....reboot and renable if it doesnt work.. Boot into recovery and dont wipe. Install the rom, in aroma chose to wipe data.
Where is Xposed?
Settings>Menu>Switch to tab view> Device Tab > Custom Apps
For those of you who Have a Galaxy Gear and want to sync weather!
Unfortunately I haven't figure out what the interaction is between the widget and the gear. The only way to have weather update on your gear is to use the Note 2 weather widget...not the Note 3. So I will be posting a flashable zip momentarily that will move you to the note 2 4.3 widget and clear the data for the app.
Download the Weather Widget for gear fix from the DevDB Downloads tab!
For those of you that want to use S Health! And want to use it with their Gear!
YOU CANNOT HAVE THE INCLUDED XPOSED MULTIWINDOW MANAGER TURNED ON OTHERWISE S HEALTH WILL CRASH
Now the bigger question, we all want custom apps in multiwindow, best way is to either use gravity box, OR set the apps you want then disable the module.
Now then...I've included the Basic Launch APK of S Health from the note 3 with the rom....however?!? You all want the new update and features so download this and install as a regular APK!
Download by clicking Downloads on the DEVDB Tab, S health apk
Once this is installed you'll have all 3 widgets, as well the pedometer should work. And it will sync with your galaxy gear. Just remember - Multiwindow managers are a no no!
Where is Note 3 Walls?
Here..
Why doesn't Air Gestures>Finger Air View>Signature Unlock work?
These are things that will never work. Air Gestures not going to happen.. Finger Air View no sensor.. Signature Unlock..really? Would you really use it? Or is it just cool to do once
Where is page buddy?
Page buddy is removed in the 4.3 note 3 launcher, page buddy service is changed.
Galaxy Gear not sending pictures over to the N2?
Change the amount of times it autosyncs the photos a day through gear manager. It auto syncs on first connect...then stock is once a day...you can also share your photos through the gallery by clicking on a photo on the gear.
Why isn't Xposed themes not working?
Xposed...zip themes wont work. We basically did this because we want to protect what we spent SO MUCH TIME creating. So the ROM was reOdexed upon creating. Sorry..
This damn Rom keeps telling me my internet connection is unstable and shows me a voicemail icon!
his seems to be with all OTA roms. Easy to get rid of the notification. Goto Wifi settings hit menu, click advanced, turn off wifi notifications
S Translator not recognizing voice?
DL this thanks @turbo50t
Where do you get the MJ9 OTA firmware released by beans for ODIN ONLY and a guide on how to install it?
Click Here and here is Beans Official Thread for instructions on "how to ODIN FLASH" please use the Search tab on XDA.
Can I change the overall dpi of this rom?
Yes you can to a certain point. You can install Xposed Module: App Settings..There is also a thread HERE where @Pafcholini has modded some apps.. PLEASE make sure you back up whatever you change..and REMEMBER some apps may not work for you..

hey L8
i got a question.
I was trying to use the mobile printing using the gallery and the samsung stock browser and got this error message and print just hangs in the notification. I was able to find my printer ok after connecting to my home wifi network.
Does mobile print work with this rom? im not sure if it is just me.

The reason this may not work is because the browser is not stock. Its S Browser from note 3. I have no way to confirm this is the reason its not working due to not having a printer...lol

update: even though the from the browser and the gallery i was able to scan for the correct printer when connected through wifi i dont think samsung has the drivers for my printer. I tried printershare app in the playstore and it printed with a generic printer driver. (didnt have the exact brother printer driver)
lol just learned how to use google cloud print. So easy =). Ditching samsung print

Thanks for this. Since I'm new to xda I could not comment on op. Everything about this rom is awesome. Even with the small bugs this still is one of the best TW 4.3 roms out there. Keep up the good work guys.
Great Rom!!
Hey! I love this rom. The only thing i'm missing is the quick controls in the stock browser. Is there a way I can get that feature back?

I got the gps to lock right after the update!!!! Thanks for all the hard work.
Deck and l18 you guys truly made a awesome rom. I have no reason to get the note 3 now!! Just time to wait for the note 4.
Deck and L18, just wanna say you guys rock:thumbup: After following your instructions and a few dirty flashes and the latest fix, Everything works flawlessly!
I bought my Note 2 a few weeks before the Note3 came out and now I get the best of both worlds
Thanks again for the many hours and hard work you and your other dev. helpers have put into making this awesome Rom happen!!!

Need some help
1)
anyone of you guys notice that in /storage there are two files "0" and "legacy" that is pretty much the exact identical version of the /storage/sdcard0
i had this same issue with skynote before too. I could have sworn that i wiped my internal storage before flashing this rom too but the file system is out of whacked. I dont get it.
Please let me know if you guys are having the same thing or not. Thanks
Update: must have done something wrong with wiping internal storage during flashing. Gonna Do a fresh flash.
2)
i always get the android is updating "nebula is updating" message when i boot up the phone. (maybe because i messed with a system app or wipe dalvic cache)
i get so frustrated when this happens...
anyone know how to stop that message at boot going on every time i reboot?
i really dont want to reflash nebula rom =(
Update: going to fresh flash again cause i looked and looked. Next time i mess with system apps im gonna nandroid a clean good copy. Ahh the hours of person settings touch down the drain ;:head palm:;
3) update
well this one i found out wanam does. remaps the double click home botton to any app i want =) and can disable wake home when screen is off. Found out that wanam doesnt replace the my magazine with double tap home. Depending on the speed of the double home tap I still get my magazines lol
(i was trying to get the xposed additions pro version to work so i played with system app and replacing it with the pro because the pro version app on the market doesnt replace the xposed additions in system apps/ update the module- lead to problem number 2 lol)
Scratch what I said above... wanam did remap my double tap home button to any app to want but I found out that pressing home on you home page brings up my magazimes. Grr... this stinks lol.
update 2:
im so stupid. in my magazine when you go to settings there is an option to disable pressing the home key to open my magazines lol!!!
thanks
well i think i just answered all my questions myself hahaha thanks for nothing guys!!! jk. Hope this helps someone.

Well, is there and user feedback? I don't mind continuing development on this project, but I have no interest if you have no interest.
Not asking for much, just at least would like to know if install went well and you are up and running?
I can make this project be fully customizable and themable like my other OZOP project if interest is here?
Happy Holidays everyone.

Unfortunately I don't own a Tab 4, but I did figure out the full fix for the Tab 4 layout bug. It was a few incorrect layout_gravity positions in status_bar_expanded xml. Never got the chance to update my thread but yeah, there was an custom apktool someone compiled with the new commits that fix the pull down bug. Let me search around to find it so you can use. Anyway, hopefully some people can provide feedback. Happy holidays
EDIT: here's the apktool that should have fixed pull downs

I'm surprised to see you don't own a Tab 4 seeing as you clearly put in A LOT of work to ensure proper compilation of modded apk's!!!
Again thank you for the leg work you put in for this device. I may or may not have mentioned that I don't actually own the device either, my wife does!! She like to be able to tweak the clocks and play with themes as well, so she allows me to work my mods in, slowly....
Your previous fixes for the pulldown worked pretty good overall, I don't mind the only thing that was noticeable (when youe begin to pulldown the pulldown header is visable at the bottom for a quick moment) to me in the brief time playing with the Tab. It didn't hinder the device unusable or really count as a major "bug" in my mind.
I will try the linked apktool and see if that changes anything? Thanks again bud!!

To be honest, I only modded this device for my wife and am unsure of the different devices or even why they have so many devices in the same forum?
All I can be sure of is my girls Tab is the Tab 4 10.1 model number T530NU.
She uses it for school only. Wi-Fi as of now, with no data connection of it's own.
If other ROM's for the T530NU work for other variants, then I'm sure this rom will work as well!!
All I can say is
*MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP FOR THE JUST IN CASE
*MAKE SURE YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE FLASHING FOR WHAT DEVICE
*BE PATIENT UPON INITIAL INSTALL (FIRST BOOT CAN TAKE ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES
If you do decide to give it a try, PLEASE post back your results and/or comments so I can update the OP

I am not really pushing here for major development on this device, but if I have something build that is different that a "Stock" version rom I usually will share.
Of course "Interest, appreciation and thread participation", play HUGE parts on update frequency and future development!!!
Did you end up loading up v1?
As of right now there has been almost 60 downloads and I have yet to get a single response about this build? I will build more, including a fully Inverted, customizable version if interest is here...
Actually I have the T530, not the NU one but I would imagine it will still work. I'll give the ROM a go tomorrow and see how I fare and let you know.

Been running your rom on my T530 (not NU) for about 3-4 hours. Funny to be back to a Samsung like ROM having run other ROM's like BlissPop. Your ROM runs very nicely and I don't have any problems. I went for a totally clean wipe, data/cache/dalvik and system. During installation/setup I had Google Maps force close a few times (who cares?). Didn't affect installation of the ROM. ROM took about 10mins or so before I saw anything other than the Samsung logo on first boot which is totally normal. I had some 21 apps update via PlayStore after boot. So far all is good, very nice job on the ROM too.
Such a great tablet and/but ROM community/support for it is pretty low. I'll keep running this as my daily driver and let you know of any issues I run into. Thanks for your support! Any chance of a 5.1.1 update or Marshmellow update?

Thank you very much for the feedback! If there were more users like you this place would be packed with eager excited devs building and updating. But like you said, low community participation and feedback. No real motivation for people to share work that may already been done.
I'm glad things went smooth for you and that this "Initial" release is working and functional! There are a few mods in OZOP Control that aren't working yet, but they will eventually! It was a lot of work removing all the mods from my current version to build this Initial version.
I usually don't even release a mostly "stock" Themed version because I can't stand the white Backgrounds!
You just might have given me the motivation to build v2 the "Inverted" version...
As far as 5.1.1 and further, I will definately update as "Official" samsung versions are released. I usually only build from stock samsung bases to reduce bugs and problems.
Lile I said, this is my girls device and I haven't followed the update progress, what is the most current build? Do you have a download link? Zip or tar? I can extract and Deodex pretty quickly these days! Lol
Thanks again bud. Enjoy and remember this is just an initial release and some things may not work yet.

Ya, no it's solid and definitely a daily driver. Games and everything else seems to work without issue. It's kinda nice having a bit of the old Samsung look and controls. I did find those broken controls you mention. No biggie for me. With Google+ happening more these days people have moved on in that direction. You know, no feedback can also be considered a good sign too. People are first to complain, than lay compliments. While it may seem the community has lost interest (here) ROMs like Tipsy, Tesla, Blisspop do also continue in Google+ world. Way I see it, with that route, just allows them to do things by their own rules. I prefer XDA which allows me an opinion without harsh results. Glad you decided to post here. Anyway, you can count on me to test and hope you do release an inverted version. I plan to run this now as my daily driver. Cheers!

I find solution for this . Need replace pronto wlan.ko on the way system/lib/modules/pronto/ . I made flashable zip from T530_....OD8 rom .
I just found this a minute ago, im about to flash now I will let you know how it goes. Glad to see you are working on this tablet. Im a big fan of your work on the S5. I used the missing link all the time when I had that phone.
I couldnt get wifi to work. I am using a T530NU.
There is a newer firmware for this device Just letting you know in case you decide to update it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/tab-4/general/links-galaxy-tab-4-official-lollipop-5-t3102844
Putting this on my kids tablet hoping it will extend his battery life and heat problems hope to see more work on this tablet. Sucks big time that samsung just left this great device to die.
Hi, thanx for this work, it looks like it needed a lot of time for such customization. .. it s a bit sad to see how few people are reporting here their feedbacks. ..
Please, if possible, can it be written in the first page what is sure it doesn't work and eventual known bugs?
I found some days ago an sm-t530 like new for 110$ and I m trying to set it in the best way, but choices are much less than what is available for my s4... I think in this weekend I ll give a try
The wifi doesnt work so I never tried anything else I just went back to CM. Hopefully the developer decides to work on this more because he does some great work but for now you should check out another rom.

I bring to you another installment from my full oZoP project.
This one is usually kept for exclusive use control by my oZoP ConTroL app, but with the many requests and lingering release of the full oZoP I felt i could try and pump some juice back into this great device by showing the power and capabilities of this beast!!
Code:
native call recording with toggle
choose half-screen or full-screen caller id
custom background
choose image from gallery
any color solid
any color 2 stage gradient colors
call details text any color
incall button text text any color
incall dialpad numbers any color
incall dialpad letters any color
access to hidden service menus and settings
Screenshots
Screen Recording
instructions:
1. make a full backup if your current rom just to be safe
2. download the file
3. flash in TWRP
4. reboot and open the new oZoP Mods InCallUI app in your app drawer
5. show everyone and brag to them how you can do this and they can't!! HaHaHa
Deodexed rom is needed.
All other files are included.
NOTE: THIS IS ONLY TESTED AND INTENDED FOR THE LG V20! For now at least. Once I get feedback from others that could change.
I WOULD NOT SUGGEST TRYING IT unless you are at the very least LG and I suspect the only viable applicants would be the G5 and v10 running Android 7.
No G6 and no other devices should even attempt to flash unless you know how to recover yourself.
(some features may not work properly because they are dependent on root and busybox installed)
I am not responsible for your mistakes or errors!!
Report bug properly to get my support
Of course there are many way to properly report bugs and ALL of these ways have one thing in common, THEY ALL REQUIRE VERY DETAILED NOTES of the issue!
I'm not going to go deep into how detailed you could get because lets face it, most people that report improperly are the ones who don't read and probably are going to read this! HaHaHa...
To get support from me I only ask for some simple things
1. What device, and rom you are running
2. What is the issue (no boot, fc everywhere, fc only certain app etc...)
3. Which option did you select
4. Did you get the install log
5. Did you use the restore.zip option to get back running
6. Do other choices share the same effect
That looks like a lot, but it really is the minimum amount of info need to troubleshoot!
Provide me that and I'll do my best to fix things and make this fun for everyone.
If you post things like
"Doesn't work", "bootloop" or anyone other similar post that have no value and help development is no way, actually these kinds of post only put development behind and slow progress die the fact that anyone who cam help has to waste their time reading it!
If these kind of post ever come up, its best to ignore the lazy person and not clog the thread with flaming replies as that too slows development!
Anyway, I don't expect there to be many if any bugs! Been tested by myself and confirmed with users of this device!
BUG REPORT
Code:
* the option for button color is still WIP and may or may not be seen in future releases
DEVS: You are welcome to use this in your projects, BUT the files must remain together and the code must remain untouched!! You can theme them however you want, but again, the main code must stay untouched and the apps must stay together

First items are the stock button icons. here are 3 styles. Flash the choice you want

oZoP_ModZ_InCallUI_black_button_icons

Now I can remove pixelphone dialer from my phone !
@stangdriver44
Thanks for this. Been waiting for a while. Some questions before flashing this.
1) Do i need a fully deodexex Stock/Custom rom?
2) Do i need the signature disabled ( patched services) mod from urs to be installed ?

NO, this is not a patch method zip!
This will completely replace your existing InCallUI with ths custom one.
The only way to revert back would be manually copy the files from you system before flashing,
pull the files from the rom zip of which your are running
or restore thhe Nandroid i suggest as step 1 of the instructions.
I have tested this many time and have had some test result feedback confirming the flash went fine.
I don't see any reason to go back to stock, unless of course you like the hideous stock look with the tiny color ID and stick figure drawing for unknow callers! Hahaha.
Just flash it, you'll be pleased with what you cam do! Just check the screenies and video.
As far as Google dialer goes, I've not used it and am not familiar with it or what ot does to yoir system.
Does it effect both the main and incall dialers or just the main dialer you call out with?
Left is main dialer amd right is incall dialer.

And what am I missing ? I have a back up. I flashed your zip . The app is on my phone and I've set it up like I want . Should the native phone app even be on my phone after flashing the zip? Or do I just open the native dialer app? When I open it it hasn't changed. Do i need to uninstall any applied themes ? Or anything else?
Thanks again for your help! And for this mod!

Same here, flashed granted root and configured to my liking but dialer hasn't changed.
Edit : seems to work only when placing a call
H918
That's no fun lol
So only the in call is being changed atm and not the dialer.
Just flashed it on WETA 5.0.7 which is the newest one as of right meow. Phone booted up properly and nothing seems wrong. Call UI shows up properly.
Only thing I had an issue with was the phone stopped charging even though it was plugged in and the fast charging notification was even showing up but my battery icon was actually going down. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and got the charger sound but the battery icon was still discharging. I navigated to the battery menu under Android settings>General and after it loaded that menu it went from discharging to charging. Kinda weird.
Just thought I would share for anyone else who experiences this.
Haven't experimented to much with this just yet and I realize its just the 1st version but I'm gonna be honest, I'm not a big fan of the icons. It would be great if I could have the stock icons for the buttons and numbers.
The full screen caller ID is fantastic ? great work on that. However I'm finding it very difficult to read based on the caller ID picture since you can only set one color for the text and buttons, it can be very hard to read or see the buttons. Maybe some font ehancements would help fix or alleviate the issue. Something like borders or drop shadows or something better that I'm not aware of?? The half screen option could actually benefit from this as well for the name and number field as it still can blend in depending on picture.
***I just realized that to activate the half screen caller ID option you just have to leave the full screen option unchecked lol. I thought it wasn't included yet or something and noticed that after reading about the half screen option in the OP :silly:? ***
One little note on the half screen option is the "Hold call" icon overlaps with the call timer.
Just trying to to give some feedback on it and thanks again for porting it out from your mod so we can try it early ? Kudos!
Woooow great news... thank you for share your mod whit the community

@stangdriver44
Works great in H990DS Indian Variant. With Latest April security patch. But i have one small request. If u see the cropping of the contact photo reducing the quality. Is there any chance to make the cropping like this ? While choosing photos for contact ?

I am asking about that Potrait crop. This mod made by me for Sony Xperia Z2/Z3 and other sony devices ages ago. Now i stopped all things due to family.. Any hope.. ?

Are the stock basedrom like fulmics somewhat compatible or is Fulmics based off different FW?

Hahaha!!! Come on guys... I thought the title of the thread "InCallUI" would be enough to understand that it is the dialer UI for when you're "In a Call"
if that wasn't enough I did list the features, one of which state "native call recording". I've only seen the call recording option available once you're "In a Call"
I guess Android is a little confusing to understand that they even have 2 separate dialers (which I did describe above including screenshots). In fact our android system has nearly 10 apk's, several framework jar files and other support xml files. So it is confusing.... I guess...
Anyways, This mod is usually exclusive to my full oZoP project and it will be included in the project along with the main dialer and many many other mods!!

I have not had or had report of the charging issue you report. This mod really should have any effect on that or any app associated with that portion of the phones activities?
As you a;ready noticed, this is v1 and it will be improved on.
That being said, the stock icons created problems being a single solid flat color and visibility in many screens. These one may not be the best style for everyone, but they are more visible in more situations and that is better for more people.
I also am working on getting color controls for the icons (as shown with the Button color WIP option, it works, but only for the redial call icon that shows when the call ends.
If I can't figure the coloring option I will either restore the stock icons or have a flashable zip to replace them actually, I've attached a zip to put stock back(I do not use these and can not support any color issues you may get as a result)

I'm not sure what issue you're talking about here?
As far as this mod goes, there are no major issues, some very minor theme style preferences maybe, but no issues here.
The link takes me to my XDA signature image, you want to know something about that?
In the future if you want better support, I suggest giving as much detail, including screenshots detailed noted for what you did, what you had going prior and the results after the flash. Logs from logcat as good, but don't always help (especially for user error, haha)
I also suggest reading the OP and viewing any previews that may be included. I actually updated the OP preview section with notes of what is in the screenshot.

That is a great looking feature, but at this time the control app is set as is. There is a lot that goes into these things and I am not at a time in which I can spend working on this kind of thing.
Not to say it won't eventually happen, maybe down the road after oZoP has been officially released and several updates have gone by, maybe.
I do thank you for the suggestion and am always open to, not promising, to any suggestions or request you all have!!
Thank you all

Hello, cool your bravo module on the other hand there is no possibility to stop the animation in the application? I love your status bar how is it done please?
Thanks youuu, you mean to stop the animation without disabling the module ?
And for the statusbar I'm using Hyper rom on s10+ (there is a very good rom control)

Hello, I like the animation very much but I'm having one issue. (I am new to Xposed modules, although I've heard of them for a long time this is the first one I have tried) The issue I have is when I hit "show settings" it shuts down the program. Colors both work as will as gradient and random colors, just when I hit the show settings...
I have a OnePlus 8t running Havoc OS I'm pretty sure everything is up to date if you need anything from me in the way of logs or what not please tell me how to get those for you and I would be happy to.
Oh okay no problem I will try to fix it
And I'm glad to hear that it's your first module !

Are you rooted ? If yes can you download logcat reader from play store, then in app search for matrixrain, open Matrix Rain without close logcat reader and reproduce the bug, and finally go back to logcat reader then click on three dots at top, and save logcat and send it here (there is a lot of "and"). Otherwise if you are not rooted the app explain you how to do, sorry to ask you that but I don't understand why it does that it's working with with touchwiz, aosp and oneui for me :/
I am rooted, and maybe forgot to add I am not using Google play services but using microg. Microg is working except I'm still trying to iron out unifiedNLP. Here is that logcat file.
@Jck0day works on oos 11. Only issue is it runs fast on pulldown of notification drawer, then slows by about 1/3 speed if left down
Also is it possible to add to recents also?
Worked for me ! Samsung S20 FE 5G OneUI 3.1. Android 11. I didn't think if was going to because I had tried your other module "notigif" a few months ago and it didn't work. Turns out if you restart system ui, which there's clearly a button for and your instructed to do so, they both work perfectly. Guess I should read directions.
Thank you for this! At first I tried installing it with Edxposed but it soft bricked my phone and got stuck on a continuous boot loop, thankfully I backed my phone up and got it back to normal. This time around I used Lsposed and it works flawlessly! On my Asus ROG 3 (Android 10) ! I absolutely love it, keep up the good work! Also, how did you change the colors of your notifications/icons on the status bar? Ive been searching for a module to do so, but not having any luck. I have gravity box, but the only option they have is changing the colors of the navigation buttons... If you can help with that, it would be much appreciated!

I tried this on my OnePlus 7T-HD1907 with OxygenOS 11.0.4.1.HD65AA, Android 11-Security Patch 2021-10-01, Magisk v23.0 by topjonwu, Riru v26.1.3.r513.8e95115fd4 by Rikka, LSposed v1.6.3. (6212) by LSposed Developers. It unfortunately didn't work. I only used the recommended app selection, and I did NOT install it as a system app due to low system space. If it needs not be a system app let me know and I'll try it again, or if I left any helpful information out of my specs let me know about that as well and I'll edit this.

Oh okay so this is perfect
First time rooting.. Works on moto stylus 2020(sofiap) rooted with magisk from A11(r) stock rom with lsposed. Trying to find all the apps needed was a maze (riru, lsposed, hook in (or whatever). Root for android 11 especially moto doesn't have a whole lot I've found,but matrix rain is sweet.. I can dig it! Thanks for this!
Hey man I really like your module, thank you for making it, it looks awesome on my phone.
I am running Resurrection Remix clear theme on Android 10, Moto G Power 2020. Latest riru + lsposed.
I had a suggestion, although if it where easily done perhaps you would have done so already, but how about instead of the rain consisting of letters of the alphabet, it be the actual symbols from the movie or something close to it?
Edit - I found this matrix font available freely on the web perhaps it can be added in the module.
