Battery not charging ,only red led blinks. Plz any suggestions - Xiaomi Mi Pad Questions & Answers

I have non rooted mi pad, bought 3months back
The problem is with charging of mipad. I plugged in charger when battery was at 6%. But despite being connected to charger, and showing charging sign, the battery continued to discharge and was at 0% . as I plugged out the charger it switched off.
The problem started now. I put it for charging and went away. But after 3hrs, the battery is not at all charged and not even switching on. This is same with different chargers which are functioning fine on other devices.
The red blinking led on top is the only reaction when I put it for charging ,otherwise nothing. It's been 4days,I looked for answers but couldn't find. Can anyone tell what's the reason.

Did u use the device while charging before the problem.

Did you try using a different charging port? Also use the original charger provided. Maybe the best option is to take it to the service center

i disasemble it and remove the connector as show in this vid https://youtu.be/5swY1_QGTsc?t=271
- remove the case
- remove the plate
- disconnect the connector above the battery ( 4''31)
- wait some minutes
- reconnect
- try to charge it....

phone broke ? need help

Hi
I think my phone is a little broke,
It ran out battery last night so i put it on charge this morning.
was on charge by wall for 10 min to get some battery then swapped over to car when i was driving it turned off now when i try and charge it at work via a usb wire and cplug converter i just get the battery logo with the spining circle for a few seconds it flashes then goes off does this about 6 times then the screen just goes off and will not do anything
anyone know any fixes or has it gotta go to samsung ?
Thanks
Have you tried taking out the battery?
Please let us know if it starts working again.
tried that, its like its not getting the power it needs for thats first few seconds as the buttons at the bottom flash on then off again
With the phone OFF. Leave it charging for four hours using the supplied mains charger.
With the phone OFF do you see a picture of the battery showing how much charge you have when you plug the phone into the mains charger? How much charge does it show?
it comes up with the b attery with a circle logo init then turns off then comes back to that over and over again,
i dont have the proper charger on me just the usb wire and a plug to usb
Think getting somewhere, tried a mates battery that works fine, mates charger wont charge on my phone but will my battery in his, so i guess my micro usb port is broke :'(

[Q] Dead Photon won't charge? (SOLVED)

Yesterday I let my phone die (low battery > powering down) and it stayed dead for 30 or so minutes. I plugged it into my wall charger and nothing happened. It didn't boot up, and there was no LED light.
I plugged it into USB and got a WHITE light, but it didn't charge. Even if I remove the battery I still get the white light when it's on USB.
I tried leaving my phone on the wall charger overnight, nothing happened.
I left it on USB for 4 hours, still nothing happened.
To sum it up:
Plug it into wall charger: Nothing happens, no LED
Plug it into wall charger with battery in: White LED
Plug it into wall charger with battery out: White LED
Nothing will charge it. I tried 2 USB cables and 3 wall chargers. I know they all work because I also used them to charge my replacement phone.
Returning to Sprint is NOT an option (I live in Canada)
What can I do to fix this?? The phone is less than 2 months old

Your battery has been drained out completely.so you will need to boost up your battery.either connect your battery to a compatible battery charger or do following step
take one of your usb cable and cut it. you will get four wires. you will need red wire and black wire. Take out the photon's battery and connect the red wire to (+)positive terminal and black wire to (-)negative terminal of the battery as indicated on the battery.now connect it to your wall charger and let it charge for 15-20 min and after charging insert the battery in your photon and charge like normal.
Huge thanks! Worked great, my Photon is back up and running! I stripped the cable I had from an old audio player and connected it like you said (the (+) and (-) are the outermost terminals).
I'm going to invest in a standalone wall charger for the battery now, as well as tell Tasker to turn off my phone at a reasonable 10% battery so it doesn't completely die.
Thanks again for the help!

Proud that it helped..
But remember not to overcharge your battery with this method this is only for boosting the battery. don't charge for more than 15-20 min.
having a very similar problem as op but...
Hey wuddup fellas,
I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. Well, never really had to until now. Anyways, Im having a VERY similar problem as the OP but with the difference that my white LED only comes on for a short amount of time when connected via usb, maybe a couple mins max. Not to mention, for some reason, the white LED only comes on when connected to a specific usb port... I got 3 on my laptop (1 on left, 2 on right) and it only comes on when attached to the 1 on the left.
Lead up to failure: I was on texting when the 5% low battery pop up showed itself. I usually get 10mins before it dies so I didnt sweat it. Then, a few mins later it died. Ok, np, I'll just connect the charger wait a sec and we'll be good to go... Guess again, when I plugged in the charger, the charging indicator didnt come on, which I thought weird. Maybe its super dead, I'll just wait a few mins and it should be able to turn on... Nope, nada. So, I pop in the extra battery I got... Same thing happens to that one! Now I'm at a loss.
I read a few forum posts around the interwebs that sound along the same lines of whats going on with my phone. This post turns out to be the closest, so I try and jump start my batteries... Again, nada. Another post says I need to charge the battery out of the phone. So, I Amazon a standalone charger for the batteries. Throw one on the new charger, battery is completely dead, takes a few hours for it to charge. Throw the newly charged battery in the phone... nothing. Charge and throw the 2nd one in... Again, NOTHING!
Now the white led wont come on anymore. Which I guess it wouldnt need to cause the batteries are fully charged. But now I got no clue where to go... please if someone has any insight, i'd greatly appreciate it.
I can only charge from the car charger a very old laptop and by computer if a hdmi monitor is pluged in to the photon.
The laptop has a dead cmos battery so it sites at the hit F1.

Sorry to wake up this thread, but I'm having a similar problem and tried the wire method. When I plug into the computer I get the same white light, but I also get the white light when I plug into the wall. After trying with the wire, I plugged into the computer and pressed the power button. The light turned green, but the screen still didn't come on.
do you have spare battery from any other mobile.just take it and connect two wire + and - to the spare battery then other end to the photon phone pins using crocodile clips with same + and - symbol just double check before connecting don't connect reverse only connect to two pins then try to turn on and post your reply..
Motorola Photon Q, Dead. Fixed easy
I did as some suggested above, but without removing the battery. After removing the back, I just unscrewed the (+) and (-) screws on the battery, lifted up the battery tab, then clipped small alligator jumpers directly onto the battery tabs. I connected a power source of 4.35v until the battery read 3.77v, then removed the power. Then I started charging it with the standard wall charger and it powered up -- now working great.

Micromax 110Q charging only when swtiched off

Okay i have this 6months old Micromax 110Q (Canvas 2 plus) and i am facing charging problem from few days as it does not recognize charger while it is switched on. I have tried with usb also and still no luck. It doesnot shows any reaction when put to charging but when i switch it off..after few seconds it show battery charging but the red charging light still doesn't turns on for few seconds like 20-30 seconds and then it starts charging and the moment i switch it on the charging stops. I have observed this type of problem in the beginning also when i used to charge just when the battery is about to die like 1%.
Please if anybody has the solution, kindly share it.
PS: I have not rooted my phone nor have i installed any app recently. Plus i have checked with another battery and charger as well.

XPERIA Z2 D6502 Charging problem

Hello,
Im having problem with charging My xperia z2
Recently I tried using magnetic charger for first time but it wasn't charging at all and phone started getting more heat so I removed it and got back to USB normal charging but now its not working as usual... when I connect usb charger phone showing charging symbol and red light on but its not charging at all, turned off phone and tried charging while phone off still same ..getting red light on and charging bar in the middle of screen and phone stuck on same percentage and goes down slowly even it keeps screen on charging bar after I unplug the charger !?!
I tried hard reset using power button and vol+ afew times some of the tries worked and phone charged normally but after i plug the usb charger again problem gets back ... so i keep resetting phone many times till i get lucky and charge normally
Also tried factory reset and flashing new stock ... still same
I don't know but i have feel that magnetic port causing problems for battery even i didn't use magnetic charger again
and i read somewhere it might be possible to disable magnetic port?
any idea?
help would be appreciated
any help?
When you connected the magnetic charger first time, have you connected it in the correct way? If it is connected upside down, it ll cause serious issues..
LikeTh3DON said, you probably connected your magnetic charger in the wrong side. I've done the same with my D6503, and I have the same issue. I already looked to change the battery, nothing change, it's a chip on the motherboard I think.
Look on that thread, some users have the same issue, no solution so far:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2745786&page=3
If you can, use sony's usb cable and charger, or a usb port on your laptop, don't know if it's related, but my phone charge easier with those. If it's the same issue than mine, your phone will charge to 85-90% and the screen will constantly goes on. When it happen unplug your phone or it will heat a lot without charging.
Same thing accidently done with me.now phone dsnt charging with megnatic cable(charging on and off regularly) nd with USB its have same problem when battery % reaches above 90.
Please give me solution..
Is that repair is available for this issue?

Hey,
I haven't necessarily got a solution for your problem but thought I can offer you my opinion. I've used solely the magnetic charger for nearly a year as my USB port has clean snapped off from my logic board. The whole time I've not had an issue, the only time the device heats is during intensive games or/whilst charging.
I know that people have had issues with the magnetic charging port in the past, it's a relatively easy fix, however, will involve opening the device and stripping out a lot of the parts to get to the ribbon.... up to you what you want to do.
Guess I should ask the obvious, have you tried different cabled/ chargers etc?? the fault could potentially lie with the cables if they've been damaged/frayed.

[Q] SGP521 not charging

SGP521 LTE version tablet running MM not charging using magnetic cable nor usb-cable. Tried both original and spare and also different wall charges. No luck.
Tried also software repair via Xperia Companion but no success.
When tablet powered off I connect the charger, red light comes on for few seconds and then goes off. Tablet shows the battery percentage but is not charging.
When tablet on and I connect charger the tablet sounds like usb is connected and shows also usb-connected icon. Also stamina goes off when charger connected but battery does not charge.
I have only 20% battery left and soon the device will die...
Any ideas what's the root cause for "not_charging" -issue? What to do to get charging feature back alive?
Hello I had this identical issue a week or so ago with my SGP511. The solution for me in the end was to plug the charger in using original SOny charging cable and plug. The red light went on then off again and screen stayed off, but i left it overnight for about 10 hours. In the morning the tablet was still dead but i unplugged the charger, then plugged it in again. This time the red light stayed on, and after a few minutes, the screen lit up and it started to charge.
Please note this took me several days of constantly unplugging and plugging back in, so not sure what the final fix was but the above was the last thing i did before it started to work.
