Will there be any issues installing Xposed? Known problems with modules? I guess it is similar to OPO and OP2 - has anyone any experience?

the pop up ussd message which comes after we end the call, which shows our mobile main balance or data bal.

I read a post on the Oneplus forum earlier where someone had exposed running and listed what modules they had running but I can't for the life of me remember the title of the thread.

I just found this how-to, which is pretty much what I did to install on my device, although still isn't working.....
EDIT: weird, I just reinstalled the app and everything seems to be working now - I guess installing the app *before* flashing the framework causes it to bug out.

Never used Oxygen before, is there a native dpi setting hidden somewhere ?
Don't want to root yet to get all those OTA without hasle asap.
Thanks ~

Did any one noticed there is no flash turn on or off option in camera after the new oxygen 2.1.2 update. I tried everything in camera settings. But couldnt find it. Flash option is available under video and slow motion category. But no option for flash while clicking photos. It only shows the timer icon.

@zuppysurja
I already answered in your thread. Turn off every image processing option in camera app like HDR, Beauty and so on. If any of them is turned on then flash remains inactive and you can't see the flash icon.

I have some basic doubts :-
1. Does the front of the phone come preapplied with a screen protector or do I need to add one.
2.Is the back scratch prone? Can I use the phone without back cover without getting any scratches?

I live in San Antonio Texas and used the OnePlus 1 here with Resurrection Remix 5.5.8, my ATT lte was weak. WiFi runs over Amped Wireless & was touch and go. I now have the att sim card back in the little iPhone 4S call signal & WiFi which is TWC WiFi btw not att WiFi are strong steady.
My question is the frequency bands 17, 12, etc can they be controlled or added via software dev. on a mobile or must the phone have specific hardware for those frequencies? I ask because of all the hysteria over OnePlusX not having 17 & 12 band frequency access? I can't afford iPhone, Samsung.... my cell phones are hand me downs. The OnePlus 1 had was roughly treated by its previous owner so not fully functional for me. I sold it for $100. and was planning on getting a new OnePlusX?

I can only answer 1st question based on oneplus forum posts the front comes with pre applied protection.
2nd ques. would depend on how careful or not with your phone. ie. I would thow a phone into a purse or pocket with keys..... I tend to be careful with these touch screen phones not like the small flip open to talk older models.

is it worth switching from nexus 6 to oneplus x?

no seriously becoz of 6" and Bad camera i was thinking of switching to X.
whats ur opinion ?

For now? Stick with N6. Camera in OPX isn't that good and softwarewise this phone is full of bugs. It should change over time but you'll probably be able to buy it without invite then.

Hello all,
I hope some of OnePlus X owners could help me with that.
I got my phone 2 days ago and I noticed that in grey areas, like a solid grey background app or the calling screen for example, I can see the grey is not consistent, I mean I can see like meshed lines from top to bottom.
Simply call your network operator, or a person who does not have a contact pic set, as the calling screen is blue at the top and grey at the bottom and see if you can see an inconsistent grey.
Here is a link to a solid grey background if you want to test it: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxYoDpga2d7xeGZyakZMSVZ4ZG8
And here is how I see it on my OPX, the pic is taken with Nexus 5 camera: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxYoDpga2d7xLVpIZGxIRlNGT2M
This pic is the same as the last one, but I marked a clearer area where the grey is inconsistent: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxYoDpga2d7xVWt5WHJLaWhlQms
Please test it out and let me know, if no one has this issue then it is a screen defect on mine.
Thank you.

That kind of insult may work back in India, but doesn't cut it here bud.
I also don't give a **** about this thread, or you for that matter. What I do care about is you spamming... Lets see about 4 forums with this one thread "must have apps" these are YOUR apps, you can share them, but there is no need to spam them.
Secondly, you and your STUPID questions. No questions are stupid unless you ask something, because going through your posts and looking at the questions you've asked, they are ALL questions that I found answers to ~4 pages back.
No one on this community is your slave, do the research and if you can't find the answer then ask about it.
If you want to continue this, go ahead respond to this, I don't mind. I have ALL the time in the world to point out your stupidity.

A little feature on all LG P50* (and most) phones.

Most phones and tablets come with this little neat feature. It's a feature with which you can switch between (and stop) applications without actually going back to your drawer and tapping it again.
1. Press and hold your 'home' button.
2. You'll see all the tasks that are running; you can either remove or switch between them.
Don't mind such a short post, but a few people I met were not aware of this feature, so I thought to post it here on XDA, so this can be an avail to more.
Will you get a medal for yourself or we need to give you one? (really confused )

Not to be rude, but this is a phone development forum, which means most of us are pretty savvy with our devices. The multitasking function which you have described is one of the most basic functions of the Android OS, so you can safely assume pretty much everyone on this site knows about it. It's cool that you're trying to be helpful though!
EDIT: And then I saw your poll. I see what you did there.

Trust me, there are more than just many people here at XDA that know about heaps of things, yet don't know of some most basic fuctions. Those people had I described in the post were ROM/Kernel developers, yet they were unaware of this little feature. They had knowledge of things I had only heard of. Many people do not experiment too much with their devices; instead, they just jump to development. That's not a bad thing, of course.
Really???
I don't want to bother you or someone around here, but why is this post still here??? I mean this is a community for developing our beloved lg P-500 and by no offense i am telling you for sure that anyone who is entering this site knows about this little ''trick''... If you really want to help someone, post something new and useful, and not something that all android phones have. Actually, if my memory is good, one of the first things that android tells you, is that ''feature'' you're talking about. No offense bud
---------- Post added at 09:15 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:46 PM ----------
Oh, and by the way, don't try to raise your post count by posting things like they are new features of android. When i first read the title of your post i thought someone found a new feature of android that we all didn't know about. There are millions of android users in the world and i bet that at least 99% of them know about this feature. Maybe they discovered it by curiosity, by pressing that button that isn't really invisible or just by mistake... It's nice that you've tried to help, but be realistic next time please, no offense

It would be rather smart of you to read (and of course, try to understand) my previous post. This was meant to be of help those who are not aware of this 'feature'. There are those who don't really mess around with their phones, as I had previously stated. It was not meant to literally 'offend' people, which it seems to have done here. Since you already knew of this feature, you should have just ignored this thread. It was not meant for those who know of it, but for those who did not (yes, really.)
Trying to increase my posts to reach the threshold? Think. If I really wanted to do so, my first 10 posts would probably have been all random Threads. I joined this site on September, 2013, and my 10 threads would have been up months ago if I were really trying to reach it. Now that's common sense. And guess what? This thread was of use to the user 'kunnaliskinng'. Not to mention, there are people who aren't registered on this site, but still get a lot of help from it. This thread, as I said, was meant as help to those who did not know of this little 'feature', and you know, so you'd be better off reading another, bud.

FAQ
(Other common questions/answers may be added to this list by posting them in the thread.)
Can I root this phone? / Is there a root for this phone?
NO. Not one of the multitude of root options currently work for this phone. We have exhausted every single option. None exists. The very best minds on XDA worked on it but were unable to make the root stick. (It is a read/write issue) There are no plans to continue development of root by existing XDA devs. At this time, No **ACTUAL** dev is working on this phone. Only novices and those new to root are working on it.
Can I post a link to a root for another phone I found?
NO. It's likely one of the many found below. (see: Untrustworthy sites/links)
Has anyone tried [INSERT THING HERE], yet?
YES. We have been at this for months. We know all the methods, already, and have exhausted them. Anything more would require a brand new method no one has tried or posted about, yet. You can share something that has not been offered before in the old thread or is not one of the Untrustworthy sites listed in the bottom of this post.
Is there a custom ROM/TWRP/ETC?
NO. Until root is achieved, this is an impossibility. If you want the Lollipop feel, why not try Nova Launcher. It has material design built in!
unlocking is the same as rooting, right?
NO. Unlocking is for network access (like using Verizon on a TMOBILE phone). It in no way means you have root.
Is it true TMO/METRO/ZTE is releasing root for this device?
NO. There is zero confirmation of this even being a remote possibility. Only speculation after a single email from an unknown sales rep. Please do not keep this rumor alive. It is the #1 reason the devs stopped working on this phone. #2 was negative attitudes/disrespect.
I just installed/used a file browser and I can get into /system. Is this important?

NO. That doesn't help root or show that you have root. Think of it like this: You can use Windows Explorer to view your System32 folder, but you can not manually alter its contents. Being able to see something doesn't mean it is editable/writeable.
How do I turn off connection/touch/etc vibration?
Go to settings> sound> alerts and notifications (Toward the bottom) Uncheck the box associated with the item you want to disable.
Can I...? should I...? Do I...? Is this...? Will you...?

IMPORTANT
Please make sure all posts are on-topic, respectful, succinct, educated, researched, reviewed and have correct (or at least adequate) spelling and punctuation. Thank you!
Also, PLEASE RESPECT ALL DEVS AND THEIR HARD WORK. This is not the place to beg, brag or post messages like "Boy, I'd really like to have root". We all want root, but hounding the devs to do it is not a good motivator. Patience & respect are.
The original discussion thread was closed at my (the OP) request, since I do not own the device, nor do I have any interest in maintaining a database of FAQs or guides or accessories. Thus, a new thread was created by someone who willing and able to keep any and all pertinent information on the first page of discussion, rather than scattered and buried amongst dozens of pages and a couple thousand posts.
@therealduckie It's all yours now.:good:
Add purpledrake to the WILL NOT ROOT zmax list before it's asked.

Because nothing has been achieved yet deserving of its own forum. Forums are granted to devices when there is so much going on with them that there's too many individual threads scattered about the place that it behooves the people that organize XDA to contain them all in one place.
For example, one of my phones, the Samsung Galaxy Light. This phone has a "how do I root" thread, a discussion/development thread (with accompanying Q&A Bot thread), a couple different modified stock ROM threads, a TWRP development thread, and a CyangemMod porting thread (and accompanying Q&A thread). That's like 9 different threads, give or take, plus several more asking specific questions. All scattered throughout the place, but it apparently it's not enough yet to warrant its own subforum. There are many other devices in the same boat.
At this point, all the ZMAX has is discussion. No root, no recovery, no ROMs. Everything there is to talk about with this device is easily contained within a single thread. Turning OP control over to someone willing to maintain it is something I should have thought up a while ago.
Realize also that new forums need moderators to monitor and micromanage them. So if you ask "well, why not just make a new forum?", that's a big reason why not. The forum software can handle it. It'd reduce confusion and clutter. But someone has to herd the cats.

I think this is somewhat on topic (if not please delete) but I was just able to pair my dualshock 4 controller with the ZMAX. I played a little GTA 3 but with considerable lag. I'm trying different ideas for how to be able to map the buttons so getting in a car isn't L1..anyway, this was amazing to me because I thought you had to root the phone for the DS4 to work. If it's ok I'll post more when I have something else to say on this.
Thanks!

Everyone including @Darth there is literally no development at all happening here so what is all the STAY ON TOPIC talk about? I don't understand it. Really I could see if someone was actually doing anything toward achieving root then, ya know, we need to stay on topic. But this is a GENERAL THREAD so what , if any, is the topic. This is, at best, a thread that a few people are trying every one click root in the world.
I'm sorry if I'm hurting anyone's pride or sense of accomplishment or always being negative, but honestly there is no topic here. It's about the Zmax and 99% of the people here have no idea what root truly is or how it even works, let alone have a chance in achieving it themselves for this device. Myself included! I'm just against getting my hopes up or anyone else's for something that is nowhere close to being completed, or started, for that matter! I mean isn't it better to be realistic or is everyone here really that optimistic. I'm all for getting root but we need knowledge to achieve this and without ZTE or a mobile securities expert, cough cough @jcase, then we are just passing the time here, surrounded by friends, at best!
So, in saying all of this, I ask all the people that say, "Stay on topic!" Why can't this thread, be a hangout/ fun/ noob friendly/ awesome freaking place to come and talk to friends and people, that have the same phone, interests, and love for Android.
Also, I ask you,(the OP, @Darth, and etc.) in the kindest, awesomest, only way I know how, to not turn this place into an, "It's in the OP!"/ impatient/ rude response giving everytime/ awkward/ no sense of humor having/ no fun having/ dull/ dead/ boring/ thread!? Because to me that's the vibe I'm getting from this place already! But maybe it's just me, I just don't get why everyone is so uptight and mad about nothing! If development does occur ask people to sit back and watch and listen. But just because you make a thread OP organized with a FAQ table and a few rude sentences doesn't turn this into a Development thread with actual progress. I want my ZMAX rooted as much as the next man really I do we just need more than us to do it. We need to find another DEV like jcase that's willing to help! Even if for a fee AND WE actually treat him or her like a dignified human BEING THIS TIME. I truly believe that is our only hope!
I've been around XDA-Developers for 5+ yrs, yet only been a member a few and I've seen my fair share of awesome threads and I think this could be one!

VS985 AZADI ROM no Mobile data on 35b

Hi guys, I installed the 35b and the latest azadi rom following all the instructions and i dont have movile data at all, calls are normal, on screen notifications the message: "SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless", I really like this ROM so i´m very sad, i´m in Colombia in Movistar service, thanks for any help,
You might change the title of the thread to include the carrier you're using since it's possible only people who use this phone on that carrier would know what specifically to do to make the phone work with the carrier, if possible.
Did the phone previously work with this carrier on another ROM you had flashed or on completely stock?

Maybe it's related to that.
I don't fault her to be honest. I see the attitude not just here on XDA but in real life with certain people showing little to no respect at all towards others who have put long hard hours working away from family/friends/etc only to be treated like crap and "ooohhhh why doesn't this have this feature like other thing has you need to have that feature."
I'dont get it...it was the best MM rom for that phone. Of course u are gonna get many folks asking for this feature or to do this and that...there are so few roms and this is the most popular. Its a given when u post your stuff to a site like this.
Its like whining about youtube comments....deal with it, get used to it. Ignore it. Real idiots is ones who throw a tantrum, or give a giant middle finger and fume their way off a site blaming others.... BUt they can choose to delete their stuff if they want to, still a **** move. So she switches to an iphone and no longer wants to dev Android...ok....so update the rom thread to say discontinued, and lock it. Simple. But nooooo....to bad. Least I had the files saved.

I use @xdabbeb 's stock rooted 47A firmware with maximum debloating. Debloat zips [UNSTRIKE]and link to @joshua70448 's nice online custom debloat zip generator[/UNSTRIKE] (was down but it's up right now) in the third post of that thread, or in my signature below. I use Nova Prime launcher along with G3TweaksBox, Flast Style Bar Indicators and Greenify Xposed modules (the last one with aggressive doze), and a few others.
While I do want to give Fulmics a try if they ever resolve the reported US 4G issues on the vs985, the 47A rom seems to be working out great. My only "issue" at the moment is that it seems to suck down battery a LOT more (when active) than it did on KitKat - standby is fine.

Ugh, it's amazing how one or two bad apples spoil it for everyone... Azadi was an awesome ROM.
Does anyone happen to have an archived copy of the last build? (2129 I believe, came out a day or two before the thread was deleted) -- I was waiting for it, got sucked up in real life things, then it was gone.
Okay, I can't keep my mouth shut anymore.
Out of the blue, RoxanaSchram posted in the CM13 a rant that I, for one, didn't even understand what she was referring to. This was only the most recent time she had expressed a desire to leave XDA and to go back to iPhone. My impression of her post is that she was rude and disrespectful. Hate XDA? Can't wait to go back to iPhone? What was keeping her? If she did hate XDA and couldn't wait to leave, why was she posting on XDA about it at all, and why in the CM13 thread?
Even before the other person's response to her first post, I thought something similar. "Well, see you!"
It was RoxanaSchram who chose to leave XDA. She was already on her way out - she said so. Noone pushed her. RoxanaSchram is the only one who's responsible for deleting her ROM thread. If you want to blame someone, blame the person who did it - her! Noone else made her do it. Noone else made her delete (or hide) her G3 files from Android File Host.
But somehow you people manage to blame anyone but the only person who's responsible for these things. Roxana. Sure, a few of us have remarked to her initial offending post in like kind. If anything, I felt that responses to her have been fairly restrained. If she doesn't have respect for XDA or it's users (need I remind you her claim about Android users being idiots?), then she should've just gone somewhere else and not posted off topic in the CM13 thread about it.
I keep waiting for users to stop mentioning the whole thing. Somehow, once a day or so, someone manages to make sure the issue is still alive, and here I am doing the same thing so now I'm guilty of it. I'm just tired of Roxana not being held accountable for her actions and the blame being put on others.
Good day.

Without quoting anyone in case there's an issue, I'll just say thanks for the posts, and I apologize for my part in keeping this going. I just assumed (I know, I know) there had been a blowup in the support thread as there had been occasionally before. Sounds like there must be a bit more to it, though, so I'll just be quiet in my uninformed state.
But thanks b00ster!

Its a request to all developers. If possible please make a fix for the notification light which we can flash over custom roms and works like stock i.e. glowing green on
100% charge, while charging if any notification arrives etc. Because it is very important feature in smartphones but nobody give any interest in it. :good:

Doesn't work, even with your patch (which fixes the red to green light when battery is charged over 80% - thanks BTW!).
Read my post on reddit:
Once the phone receives a message, the screen turns on (ambient display) and the green LED blinks. As the screen turns off, the LED behavior changes. It starts blinking randomly. Sometimes it stays on for several seconds and sometimes it just turns off, then starts blinking randomly again. It's a driver issue, reported as "lazy" by the dev itself. The user could easily miss the message if he/she relies on the visual aid alone. As you know, in stock, it stays on until the user reads or dismisses the message but blinking draws much more attention, which I prefer. Thanks for your attention.

Sometimes, the led just stays on until doze kicks in. As I said, it's pretty random.
LM Kernel developer (Iuri <3) will try and work with liblights but it's yet uncertain if he'll succeed - even Shreps said that he'll look into it when he'll have the time.
Good luck to us all and god bless the devs.

Yes, I've already followed your guide, right after you published it.
Unfortunately, it doesn't work as you would expect, I guess (on l36 at least).
The behaviour I described continues happening after some time - I wasn't the only one reporting the issue after applying your patch so I know it's not exactly isolated, and I'm talking about days of testing, not for just a couple of hours.
If you feel I'm still wrong and that your solution fixes the problem (or if you want to help further), head over the LM Kernel group on Telegram and discuss the matter with Iuri and Shreps, so that your method can be incorporated into future versions of LOS. Thanks!

So you are the only one who can not normally install the patch, and adjust the color of the indicator! I'm writing through an interpreter, and I do not see the point of discussing it anywhere else, as hundreds of times the developer wrote in the topics, and everyone was spit on. In our forum "4pda", and not only, the patch works, and is installed without problems, and also perfectly fixes the problem of the LED. Why does not it work for you? It is known only to you alone. I already did a favor by publishing this patch here. I will repeat - at us, at all, the patch works. The problem is with you. All the best.

I repeat for the last time: you need to install the patch, and set the colors in the Notification Settings, as in the screenshot! Everything works fine, on absolutely any, custom firmware for a6020! Checked by me, and all members of the forum! Are you guys unable to set up your devices? It's funny)))

You are funny. Don't be ignorant, I'm preety much capable of doing what you say, and I did it and it didn't work.
Just have in mind that here on forum you have members with much more knowledge and experience than you, so don't be a douchebag. There are no easy solutions, what works on one device, doesn't need to work on another.

Ahaha, I mocked him so much!) I'll keep silent, I do not find it necessary to explain my experience, and the possibilities)) It's unfortunate to see when the corrections are working, and several people about them, insist that it does not work) )) Screaming. In principle, what surprise!) In all topics, there must be someone, Special) who does not have anything to work on - he needs to work on himself, and learns to use the phone. Put the phones in repair, or do not flood. The whole question is closed. The patch works, tested by all members of the forum, on all firmware for a6020. For your information, the files were taken from the stock firmware, and applied in patch fixes, or on the drain you also problemmy?) Respond to the flood - no longer intends. Everything, the question is solved and closed. Request to the moderator, close the topic, because the solution is found and works.

As I once said, a douchebag stays a douchebag...
I do not even need your patch, it's inessential and minor, I just pointed that there are more people with no luck using your patch.
I'm sick and tired of people here on xda, creating something that's partialy working and having too high oppinion of 'itself'. A tiny effort is complimentary, but not prodigious.
Learn good manners, and a bit of English if you're arguin with people here on xda.
P.S. Moderators usually close threads on OP's requests and in the case of forum rules violations. So if he is not satisfied you don't have the right to demand it.
Will it work in miui
Tried it on DotOS 1.1 on a6020a46 2GB : I had always red light even when charged, now I have always green light, even when not charged...

Yes, flash from TWRP - since it works. And it works for a long time, where the diode is broken.
It certainly works. Check it out.

Before saying that, I would have checked it myself, I was convinced.
It works, and for quite some time. And many users have already seen this by trying
