c5 ultra custom roms - Sony Xperia C5 Ultra

hi , ı need c5 ultra ( E5553) custom rom ...

Yes, we are all waiting for a custom rom, there are many others like yourself in the queue.
Unfortunately, by the looks of things it'll take some time, many months at the earliest!
We are yet to find root access for the device...
That said, the stock firmware is still very good, fast, stable and butter smooth...
What I'm really dying for is root access to gain battery improvements as well as using other apps that require root access.
Also, it would be great to remove the bloatware that comes pre-installed with the device.
I'm missing Xposed & Titanium backup, BADLY!!!
Ps. Once we get Android 6.0 Marshmallow, this device will rock!

will be great
i-m wating for the 6.0 updated, bro if u can root this device let me know i just by this device and i-m dying to enjoy all root greatness and i hope someday this device can run with cyanogenmod (13) as well , greeetings from Mexico

[Q] Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus, Multiboot Possible?

Hi! I want to know if its Possible to use Boot Manager Pro (available on Play Store) or some other app or any way that might Help me in installing multiple custom/Official ROMs on Octane Plus without having to format other/previous ROM.
I like many custom ROMs that are out there for this mobile, I heard about this app called Boot Manager Pro and I'm very much interested if I can to something Like this on Octane Plus or Not?
Also I'm using ROEHSOFT RAM Expander which helped me extend RAM on this mobile which usually don't work on many other Androids, Currently I'm Using "Vibe_v2.0_1501_by_himura2051" ROM which is the fastest ROM I've experienced yet and i also very much want to know If its possible to upgrade this mobile to Android 5.0 Lollipop or not because somewhere i found article regarding Custom Lollipop ROM here for this mobile - lollipop-lollipop.org/2014/12/karbonn-titanium-octane-plus-6219.html, but I tried everything i could think of to download it it, but i Could not.... IS IT FAKE? so anyway I'm hopping it might also be possible to use Multiple ROMs on this mobile.
Plz HELP!!! Mighty XDA-Developers. (You Guy's are my only hope it seems)
Thanks.

1. I tried using Boot manager pro, it does not officially supports this phone. So we have to manually enter the block sizes etc. This can be found using 'readback' function in SP Flash tool. Will try that later and report the result.
2. Lollipop-lollipop.org is fake. No 5.0 yet.
3. Official lollipop update - no idea, may or may not come. And even if it comes, will be quiet late.
4. Unofficial - somebody needs to compile a custom kernel from source.

I see, I don't really understand the concept of block size, yes i saw it in lite version of this app, yup it was something like that...
Good Luck! I'm eagerly hoping u get good results, I'll also try what 'readback' u mentioned on SP Flash.
Uh-i see so no lollipop , i think most probably it won't get Official Android L Rom, But i wish somebody/anybody unofficially customizes/build any Android L ROM suitable for octane plus.

CyanogenMod [ Xperia Z ]

Hello community & XDA Developers
I hope i m posting in right section..
I have been running stock ROM ( 4.4.2 with root ) on my Xperia Z for over 1 year, then i decided to update to android 5.0 ( OTA didnt work tho lol ), so i did via PC Companion, and after updating, device became so useless and slow, everything installed \ updated just fine, and phone is "stable" now, but there are many issues after updating ( random reboots, weird looking, too much memory usage & bloatware, and ofc no root )
So i m thinking about changing my ROM into CyanogenMod, and because i usualy play games on my device a lot with bluetooth controller & TV, my question is if those features are working well in CM11 ( i want kitkat rather than lollipop )
1.) is there native support for MHL TV output ?
2.) is there native support for bluetooth gamepads ?
3.) is CM11 any faster than stock 5.0 ROM ?
4.) what about camera quality & features ? many ppl says that DRM keys are lost ( that is true ) after unlocking bootloader, how "worse" is camera in CM11 compared to stock Xperia Z ROM ?
5.) are those special features available in CM11 ? like screen mirror, DLNA, throw etc. ?
Reverting ROM back to 4.4.2 is bit complicated ( cant even find this version, only 4.4.4 is available ) so i will better switch to CM11 if it has as many features as stock rom.
I didn't unlock bootloader yet.
Thanks for reply

Hi, you'll probably have better results by asking in your specific device help forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/help/help-thread-xperia-z-question-noob-t2345372
That's where your device experts are located.
Well there are many threads \ guides how to root newer version of android, i just wish i could get Unbranded Generic CE1 FtF firmware ( 4.4.2 ) so i can easily flash that to phone and root it with towelroot, simple as that but i cant find that Firmware tho.
edit: will the following work ? i will download & flash some random 4.4.4 stock firmware ( for xperia Z ) & then somehow root it, backup TA partition, unlock bootloader, will use Emma to flash 4.4.2 stock rom ( if it offers me ) and then relock my bootloader.
edit2: i unlocked bootloader while i was trying to install cyanogenmod, but looks like my phone is no longer supported, so after tons of minutes of googling i managed to find 4.4.2 stock rom ( unbranded \ CE1 [ Thanks God ] ) flashed it and now everything is working as i wanted .. Relocked back my bootloader using flashtool ( before i flashed stock 4.4.2 rom ), will my BE2 & other specific features work again ?.

Panasonic P81 (Clone of Coolpad 7320) Cyanogen Custom ROM

I own a Panasonic P81 phone which I rooted and I have installed custom MiUi 4.12.5 v5-6 ROM. After installing I realized that my phone heats up a lot and multi-tasking is no more possible. Available RAM has decreased and now I have even lost superuser rights. I tried finding cyanogen for my device but was unsuccessful. I wished some developer could breach into the existing versions of cyanogenmod and make them compatible to my phone somehow. Or maybe help me out with the existing issues on my phone. I am obsessed with customizability and wish to run the phone perfectly normal. Language in the settings irritate me at times for some features. English needs to be there everywhere.
Please help me out, developers!

considering buying a honor 5x

i currently use metro pcs . i would like to buy a good phone.
ive been considering the samsung j7 but the specs on the honor 5x look better.
ive been reading up and it looks like it accepts the metro pcs sims.
according to various reviews, the main issue with the honor 5x is the android interface.
i would like to know which is the best way to get a stock android rom while keeping the phone functional. ??
would installing a stock android be alot better than the current interface the phone comes with ? { is it worth it }
also .. can i play games like hitman sniper on the honor 5x ??
Got Modacco rom no problems or lags i camera from almost stock android
i just bought the phone from new egg, now im looking for a tutorial that shows how to change to a custom rom.
also... instead of custom rom, will i be able to increase performance by using another launcher instead of emui ??
or
am i better off installing a custom rom for maximum performance ?

Nova Launcher is considerably better than the stock EMUI launcher, though I'm not sure that would increase performance... If a faster phone's what you're looking for, then flash a custom ROM, preferrably one that's debloated and as close to AOSP (stock) as possible, so you don't have Huawei's apps slowing down your device. I'm currently using EMUI and fine with it until fingerprint support comes to stock ROMs, but many people agree that customs are much better, faster and stable than EMUI.
Since you didn't specify wether it's your first time flashing a ROM or doing advanced stuff, I'll advise you to read up carefully and thoroughly about what you're getting into - step-by-step guides are nice, but knowing what you're actually doing will most definitely come in handy in the future!
ive flashed a couple of tablets and phones.
theres two so far im willing to try , cm12 and modaco
ive been doing some research and I have some questions....
1- with cm12 does every thing work fine ? ex. fingerprint hdr etc..
2- with modaco does everything work fine ? ex. fingerprint hdr etc..
i want all of the phones features without any compromise

only the stock base roms have FP support ...Modaco is a stock base rom
none of the CM based roms have FP support - bliss - crdroid - aokp - RR - cm12 and cm13 all fall in this category

Hey. I have the honor 5x too. I installed a rom called resurrection remix os.
It is a really solid ROM and increases your performance greatly. It is based on cm 13. Everything works and is stable (on my phone at least). The only thing that doesn't work is the FP scanner. I only tried this ROM so I don't know how the other ROMs for this device perform. So far this has been a really stable option for me. Try it if you want.
Sent from my KIW-L21 using XDA-Developers mobile app
jimandroidnerd thncx for the input , i will try it first to see the best performance the honor 5x can give.
im mainly looking at "modaco" rom or the " rom-stock-b151-stock-rooted-deodexed-t3355130 " because they are either the stock or based on the stock rom.
also i want that fp scanner to work.
WAIT... i just noticed that modaco is only for the KIW-L21 ???
im getting a KIW-L24. what are my best options now with fp support??

Honestly, if you so desperately want FP support, stay on stock, or debloated which would be the most "custom" you'd get afaik. I'm also waiting for FP support so I know the feeling... There are some nice features in EMUI (that Themes customization app is a great thing honestly, I love it, for example) but I would like to run a custom ROM someday. We'll have to wait for the security base release I guess...
ima put in a stock.debloated.root rom and call it a wrap.
if im unsatisfied with the performance ill try resurrection remix os
and just not use the fingerprint.
im getting a KIW-L24 { as mentioned in post #8}
modaco is only for KIW-L21 { as far as i know }
i want a debloated rom that is stable , no glitches .
all reviews i read so far for this phone are positive,
except the emui interface and the preloaded bloatware .
i know im buying a budget phone , but i want it to work as smooth it possibly can

My bad, I missed the conjunction "or" in your sentence : "im mainly looking at "modaco" rom or the " rom-stock-b151-stock-rooted-deodexed-t3355130 ""...
But nobody than you can say what is a bloatware or not so even though Clsa's rom is good better create your own ROM removing what YOU consider as bloatwares.
Since Xposed framework v83 you can also install it by yourself without the need of a deodex firmware : you just have to consider the pros & cons of "deodex vs odex firmwares". Actual working version of Xposed framework for the Honor 5x is v85.
The other problem except EMUI is the lack of OTG feature as default and some other few stuffs...

Well, you actually CAN tell what is bloatware and what isn't, the only difference would be wether you find a particular app useful enough to not consider it a bother on the system...
There's basically no theoretical downside to deodexed ROMs or files, apart from boot time if you wipe dalvik. A question: is Xposed v85 a flashable .zip like normal Xposed? I read somewhere on here that you had to modify system files to do that, but I'f be very happy to know that the Honor 5X now has proper and easy Xposed installation available.
Arobase40 said:
Well I won't argue on what is bloatware or not as this is mainly personal to one another and I won't argue either against deodex vs odex ROM as as I said we now have the choice between apps customizations and ROM performance...
What only matter is your question : you can flash any Xposed Framework zip file with TWRP, but since v83 till v85 you can flash them whether you have deodex or odex firmware and the only change you have to do is to modify the build.prop file.
I actually have Xposed Framework v85 on my odex firmware and it works pretty well.

So by flashing v85, I still have to change the build.prop file? Is there any guide on doing this? Honestly I'd rather wait for v86 if it means not having to edit system files, but if it's unavoidable, then I guess it can't be helped...
just got the phone yesterday. after i deleted some apps and changed emui to "google now launcher"
it seems to run fine. ill give it a week before i start changing the rom
Arobase40 said:
I don't think a v86 would be of any help, just a new Xposed framework installer app...
Otherwise you simply need a root explorer (or kind of same app with root rights).
If you don't want to do the changes directly into your system, you can copy the build.prop file to your Sd Card (keep an unmodified copy somewhere just in case), and do the changes from there with a notepad or such. Then copy the modified build.prop back to the system folder keeping the same permissions and reboot... That's it !

I'm actually reluctant to modify system files if at all possible not to do so since I almost bricked my 5X doing just that (well, kind of, stupid mistake but still...). I'm missing the easy Xposed framework installer honestly. I really hope someone creates an installer for this, or a single flashable zip that also modifies build.prop...
I also just got the device yesterday. Was surprised it allowed me to delete the bloatware on it! I guess they were nice and did not install them on the system partition.
ALso interested in any performance tweaks. Like the phone and os in general but with "budget" processor it would be good to have it running as light on resources as possible.

For performance there are custom, stock or debloated ROMs, and in case you're looking for something in addition to EMUI in order to make it faster I recommend you the apps "L Speed", "Greenify" (guessing you already know this one), and "Kernel Adiutor" if you're into kernel tweaking. Putting your cores on Performance governor should speed the device like hell, at the cost of battery life, but you can tweak it to a smaller degree and find your balance.

Wrote a post on the thread that was ignored, lol. It says on the FAQ that there can be problems with Huawei/Xiaomi as they are chinese manufacturers and do things differently to, say, Motorola, so I'm guessing I won't get a reply no matter how loud I cry out.

Maybe you could try with a more polite way ? lol

But I was polite though... I think. It's probably got more to do with the fact that it's the general Xposed thread so your message gets buried behind bug reports and other questions, I guess. I was searching for other ways of contacting the dev but desisted upon finding that in the FAQ.

How to remove root completely from Poco F1 installed with Android 9 based custom roms

Dear All,
I have bought POCO F1 in the first sale and I am very happy with its performance. Once there were Android Pie based custom roms, I have enthusiastically tried some of them. I have to thank all developers here for their relentless efforts in bringing the most updated features to our beloved POCO F1. I just have a small problem, I rely a lot on banking apps and all of them complaint that my device is rooted on Android 9 roms. I know that I can hide root by using Magisk but I dont want to use it. I want to know how to remove the root completely rather than hide it. So, Kindly give me some information as to how Android 9 based rom can be completely unrooted.
Unistall Magisk
I have the same issue......my ROM came prerooted.....is there to remove root completely....
You'll have to try different ROMs until you find one that works for you (i'd Start from Pixel experience)
I never had this problem so i have a feeling that you might have missed a step.
(Did you wipe system, data, davlik before flashing?)
(Did you flash an encryption disabler? because you shouldn't)
Just flash a stock Fastboot package. That's the only true reliable way to "unroot" a device.
If your ROM came pre-rooted, it's either a crap ROM or is still being built in userdebug mode for dev purposes. If it's the latter, unrooting is a bad idea and probably won't solve anything anyway. So either accept it, or use a different ROM.
