FYI I recommend the linked gapps or banks. I haven't gotten around to merging the opengapps patch yet.

Added to Nexus 6P index thread:

Banks gapps work great :good:

Awesome! Loved the AOsip on nexus 6. Flashing time! What kernel? Does it have double tap to wake default?

What is day night toggle and where can i find it?
Also, is there a way to change the settings background from grey to white?

Great Rom, all working good so far. Thanks a lot.

Hey this ROM is sexy

Fantastic rom, great to be back on AOSIP since I left Shamu. I must be blind, but can someone point me to the setting to disable the weather in status bar/quick settings?

YES is indeed missing but not a critical issue for me as I never turn my data off. If need to, manually do it at settings
I miss the screenshot feature on the power button. Will it ever be enabled on this build ?
Taking screenshot manually thro power+home is often a hit n miss affair
Awesome.. Looking forward to all the aokp goodies.. by the way, any headway on the memory leak issue that's been plaguing cm10. Is it present here too?
Sent from cell 27, Asylum Wing HI
Toggles, I will fix. I forgot the overlays. Memory leak, same as CM10. They are the masterminds behind the hardware side of things, and they have not figured it out yet.
Great work as always hun <3
Yep, great work, thanks for your effort.
I think that the weather is not updating as it should. I had an interval of 60 minutes but after one hour it never updates, I always have to do it manualy. I've set it to half an hour now and will see, if it's any different.
Oh, and the CRT off effect sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. It seems to work randomly but most of the time it doesn't work.
I flashed it and one thing I noticed is that when I add my Google account, everything syncs properly except for the images stored on their servers, so nothing shows up when the gallery is opened.
Thank you for the great work.
From my GNote. That's all.
not being sounding nitpicky but could someone create a Pdroid patch for the JB version of AOKP for galaxy note?
the ICS AOKP for galaxy note already has one, and hoping that this too will have a Pdroid patch.

CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. The team is composed of former members of Team Liquid who have forked the code in an attempt to bring greater speed, better coding, and full authorship to code. We are in no way affiliated with Liquid0624. The rom was forked at Liquid beta 3.2.1 and has since undergone major code changes and modifications.
We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.

What ROM to choose....
Demetris, your contributions are amazing... thank you! I just installed Liquid (with your 1.66 kernel), and it is running great. Do you recommend this ROM over that one? I'm not sure where to go from here ...that's a good thing.
Thanks again!

I can speak from a developers view point only.
On liquid i was on my own, there was no support from Team liquid at all.
On Carbon i was pleasantly supriced by the welcome warmth and support i found from Carbon team developers.
All Roms have individual features tailored for any taste. Only you, the user can try and decide what suits your needs as an android Operating System.
Overrall, all roms have their fanatic followers so the choice is always and only yours.
My Nook shuts off after the Carbon splash screen. I can't get it to boot all the way.
All the way, AIRBORNE!
OK YouTube app freezes the video and all I hear is the sound... Battery is impressive on this but I do feel like I have less ram available to use on this...gonna try liquid smooth now and see how that works put.
FYI demetris...does your not kernel work on any of these new ROMs?

Consider whole AICP Team, not only the individual.
What is AICP?
AICP is known by someone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since than evolved as a mature rom with the BEST community you can find!!!
Rom has always been AOKP based so expect all AOKP goodies + new additions.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or AOKP team if it conserns their modifications. This rom isn't AOKP supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

What's Broken:
You Tell Me
ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes

Having that delay when waking from deep sleep. Takes a few minutes and several power button presses to wake up. I remember something about this bug in previous kk builds, but I thought it was fixed upstream a while ago.
Anyone having MMS problems? I'm not able to send a picture and group messages are not staying in one thread, the messages are coming in separately.

That build has some experimental changes, the sensor is a known issue. The build is more a proof of concept at this point. I needed an easy device to bring up and test features while I got my oneplus3 and oneplus7pro going.
[Edit] I updated the post to reflect android 11 development. I wasn't planning on supporting this device but here we are. To those that found my builds without any announcement from me or the Evervolv team, you are the real hero today.

I just gave this ROM a shot and holy cow. Man it is smooth, it looks slick af, it has every feature i need, and the use of lawnchair by default is fantastic.i was a bit surprised that a rom that leaves out a browser and music player so that the user can pick one themselves would choose the I include MusicFX, but it is a small matter
