This is my first thread and post here at this community.
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII with the beta firmware I9300XXELK4_I9300OJKELK5_ILO. I've read at this forum about an APK that can be used to add more programs to the native MutiWindow View that this FW has. At the same topic it is written that you have to use some odexe or deodexe.
Actually i dont know what is odexe or deodexe and i dont know how to install it on my device.
Can someone please help me and guide about how to install it properly.

If you did flash the original leak it will be most likely odexed (as mine is), deodext are usually all the custom roms (stock and others) as it is easier for modifications. You can also Google and will find a lot of explanations.

download the odex file from the MW threat and flash it in CWM. Do NOT extract the files (e.g. meta-inf etc.)

You can't, it's not for that device, at most you could take some apps and "try" to get them working. But there may be dependencies that the apps need that your device may not have.

which kind of question is?
there are themers and developers that deodexes apk, which for entire rom takes one hour, and you asking about classes.dex????
of course you have lot of learn, i say lot before going on on this subject.....
i suggest you to be active in general forums

I'm just saying that it is sufficient to remove all odex-files and will be deodexed firmware (as dex-components is within the APK). Or do you want to say that nobody knows here? :laugh:

muahahaha if so why then deodexing script exists?
have you ever tryed to compare smali files that are into classes.dex in an apk if are the same as in its odex file?
if same you can freely remove odex.....
Your solution maybe can work for some apks but is not recommended(absolutely for system apps), especially when you try to port apk and features..... so stop saying wrong suggestions, otherwise we will have dozen of users blaming and crying for apk FC.
And a lot of developers being seen idiots cause they have written deodex scripts???

Can you upload (or share the link if already exists) original ROM?
If these packages were really deodexed then it's really bad! ART compatible ROMs don't require deodex at all. Just delete odex files. APK/JAR have dex inside.
But after deodexing many class references are tampered because of deodexer technics.

Oh, common.. Where is lib, etc, vendor folders? Such a wasted download...
System APKs require libraries and don't include them inside package. So, this "dump" is mostly useless...

Did anyone find utility to convert qmg<->png graphics? Starting from Android 4.4.4 Samsung uses QMG images instead of PNG.
I'm not talking about official samsung theme creator. When you need to convert hundred of images - only command-line utility can help.

You better go to Note 3 Exynos Android Development section. There you will find full roms.
Here are modem, kernel and META-INF folder with necessary symlinks missing.
I could add it too and make a flashable rom but as I can't test it on my device I will not send users into dark by flashing untested stuff.
You always bring new hope to my note 2.

S5 got the update officially, note 4 is gonna get soon, note 3 and s4 have the leaked roms available by now...probably its our turn now...maybe android L + TW is ready to shine on our beloved note 2.

What are you talking about? Dump in OP doesn't contain image file(s).
Edit: Maybe you need a guide how you can do it on your own?
I don't know about the method you have linked to.
My method:
Download firmware,
extract to img with 7zip,
put necessary files into ArchiKitchen without building a rom
deodex apps, framework, priv-apps with tool by svadev
pack system folder with 7zip, done.

Do you mind if I take that and make a flashable zip for the t-mobile section? The zip its in won't flash on the 910t/w8 so I used a test flash zip and no problems made a couple of changes to the feature and themed the air and mms apks all credit going to you of course, Oh and thanks. Basically the air messaging was the only reason I was on a note 5 rom lol now I can run a note 4 rom .

This MOD adds floating posts Note 4 SM-N910F - Lollipop 5.1.1 Deodex Rom, which is what I use, I'm not saying to not work on any other model Note 4.
The zip is composed of multiple files and apks, for installation by modified recovery, so you have to be root.
Needless to say, prior to installation, backup, just in case.
Inside the zip and the CSC folder, this features.xml, it can be removed by double clicking on the zip and seeking CSC folder (completely delete this folder), provided that in system / csc / or features others.xml .xml your rom the following lines are already included:

By doing so manually checks the file (0644) and folder (0755) permissions, and has been eliminated SecMms_Candy in system/priv-app/, also go to features.xml or others.xml in system/csc/ and add the lines above

Good night, if you've done the steps correctly, you should not have any problem, re-raise again the zip, the only change you have are the icons in AirMessage.apk MM.

Lineage has a script for that on every device repo. You have to be on stock. I don't know if your device is supported though.
Manually you can always copy the blobs on system/vendor/lib and system/lib .

1. Maybe someone has uploaded them to the internet. This is not weird, is usual to find system dumps out there.
2. Extracting them from your stock ROM (while having it installed).
