Is there a way to activate system ui tuner? Keyboard arrows don't work. Overall this is the BEST! marshmallow rom by far. Keep up the good work my friend!

Very nice Rom. Very fluid and snappy. It's also great to be back on a fully customizable Nav bar. I know this is a nightly but I wanted to post a couple quirks I've come across with the navbar in case the team may have missed them. First when applying a custom icon besides the default and system alternatives, I'm left with a blank space. I can still launch whatever app I have assign to the particular button but there is no icon in it's place. It also seem that the torch and Expanded desktop shortcuts doesn't work on the navbar. The Expanded Desktop shortcut doesn't seem to work in the custimizable power menu as well.

No it does not work. I ended up using a third party app "gmd gesture control" to set Now on tap on a long press.
Never mind, That doesn't seem to work either

:good:Thanks for this ROM. Just the customization's I was looking for.:good:
Edit: Just finished play with this a little and can't seem to connect to camera. Anyone with this issue?
Edit2: Never mind new Element kernel fixed it..

[MOD][Xposed] Immerse Me - KitKat Immersive Mode for all apps

Requires Xposed Framework!
This module forces Immersive mode for all applications on KitKat. The effect is similar to CM's Expanded Desktop mode.
Users wanting to configure this on a per-app basis should look out for an App Settings update, when I push a patch against it.

I'd like to add that it sometimes cuts off apps at the top. For instance:

When the status bar is transparent yes, but not when it's fully black...it stays stuck that way. I have to press the home button and then switch back to the app. Other than that, this mod is awesome.

first runs present 2 issues, for apps that already have an underlay dont think they are full screened. other apps can still override the full screen status. combined with hiding nav bar fixes the offset bugs though.
nice for a first run though, will be watching this closely
PS: if you can preserve it, I do like the periodic popup of the notification shade
pps: 3rd issue, because your actually hooking the change event and letting changes slip through, terminal flips out and is inusable, please fix
i am having nexus 5 with soft buttons... and they remain when i play subway surfer.
so sometimes my finger goes over the home/back button and i lose the game..
will this mode help me with this problem??

take whatsapp for example, if you open the keyboard, type something, then close it, the typebox disappears under the navbar, it's annoying having to press the back button to make the navbar disappear so i could open the keyboard again.

Great mod!!!
Thanks !!! This mod works very smooth and stable on my phone with CM11 :good::good: You are amazing
Awesome module. I noticed two issues with it myself. 1. When using LMT (Pie) I can't use the control to bring down the notification shade. It doesn't do anything when I click that item. 2. Chatheads for Facebook Messenger don't show up then they will randomly show up for a split second then go away. Other then that, I am loving this, makes my Note 2 even "bigger". Thanks!

I got around that by using expanded desktop + PIE. I use the mod for the status bar only.

Google has just officially released the Google Now Launcher on the Play Store and made it compatible with all devices with Android v4.1 or Later, including Google Nexus devices and the Play Edition devices (Galaxy Nexus, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 (2012), Nexus 7 (2013), Nexus 10, Galaxy S4 GPe, HTC One GPe, Moto G GPe, Xperia Z Ultra GPe and the LG G Pad 8.3 GPe). You can Now Install directly from the Play Store which is easier to get future updates.
GNL Key Features :
Google Now on your home screen - it's easier than ever to get just the right information at just the right time.
Just say "Ok Google" - when you're on your home screen, just say "Ok Google" to trigger voice input. Then say your search query. Or tell your phone what to do, like send a text message, get directions, or play a song.
Faster search - tap the search box and you can enter your query immediately.
Easy access to your favorite Google products and services, like Gmail, YouTube, and Maps.
Larger viewing area - the status and navigation bars are now translucent, so your wallpaper pops from every pixel, and is even visible when you expand your apps drawer (when supported by device).
Intuitive wallpaper picker - select any image that's stored on your device, or in the cloud. Position and preview your wallpaper before you set it.

If your device is not supported, you can try the APK link below.

Thanks! No graphical glitches! Seems this is N10 ready :victory:!

Sorry for that, I just added a Google Drive mirror
I honestly have no idea what they could have changed because the GoogleHome APK does next to nothing. All the code for the GEL is actually in the Google Search APK. All this GoogleHome.apk file does is provide a bridge to Google Search and give you the option of running the GEL. The reason the file is 12 MB is basically all the wallpapers that it includes. That's really it. I mean, obviously they changed *something*, but I'd be shocked if there were any performance improvements or bug fixes. Very strange indeed. Thanks for posting, nonetheless. It's always good to stay on top of the latest versions of stuff like this.
I don't know but mine seems snappy, at least compared to what it was, and really seems to be working well on my Nexus 10

Well that's good, then. Who knows, maybe there is some kind of code in that APK other than being a bridge. We'll probably never know for sure. haha
From Reddit :
http://www.reddit.com/r/Android/com...he_new_google_experience_launcher_gel/cdxfeho
This is completely misleading and even plain false.
This app is just a stub that has no code other than a few lines to call the real GEL which is inside the search app (which was not updated with KitKat). There are no code changes between this and v0.9, so the changelog seems to be pulled straight out of the rear.
You will gain literally nothing by installing it.

That is interesting. I wonder why it is working better for me. I will play for a day and see if it starts lagging like it did before. If not then the answer had to lie with a change in 4.4.1. Maybe a small code fix that improve performance. I will probably go back to another launcher anyway, but not until I test this well. Perhaps a framework tweak?

There's no code change. And even if there was, it'd only be to the invoker of the launcher code within search, which wouldn't do anything to speed up its actual operation.
Seems about the same to me.…
It is definitely getting better but it just is not smooth enough yet. Need to wait until it is officially pushed out I think.

KitKat 4.4.2
Will this work ok with KitKat version 4.4.2?
Feels faster for me too, but this also applies to chrome on 4.4.2 now. Especially when surfing porn-sites.
When I scroll pages it still seems slow. I am on a Note 10.1 2014 rooted but stock. When is scroll home pages they are bright for about a second then they dim to a normal brightness. It doesn't do this on my rooted S4 running 4.4.
Any tips on getting this to run more smoothly?
Sent from my SM-P600 using Tapatalk 4
No lag in home screen or inside app drawer on 4.2.1. But app drawer open and close lag little bit.
Has anyone noticed that this update has borked the icon layout on manta?
Before I had 8 columns for icons all neatly laid out & spaced well, same for the dock.
But now I've only got 6 columns and it looks terrible!
Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 4
Yep, same on N7. Danger of running an unsupported launcher, I guess.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk 4
Yeah the new search apk screwed up my N10 and N7 as well, I rolled back to the previous one hopefully it was a messup on their part and itll be fixed

Since this is a port if a nexus ROM which doesn't have hardware keys no long press to enable recent sorry if you enable soft keys there's a recents button there. I really like the look recents on this ROM.
To be honest I've searched for halo multiwindow and haven't found it either. I'll search the other V.U threads to try and find and answer. I copied the V.U o.p which mentions halo I might remove from o.p so its not misleading
Also to clear all recents open the recents with soft keys and pinch from the top, that will clear all..

Is there an option to turn the backlight on the touchkeys to off?
Hey guys, I removed Halo and Multiwindow because of memory leaks.
Hardware keys customization is there but could be lost because of the port.
On my Z1 its there.
I own a Note 2 myself but I dont have the server money right now for many devices.
Kindly Regards
Pretty sick ROM. Problem is, I'm having WiFi issues. I flashed Agni kernel. Should I have stayed with stock kernel or do you guys have a recommendation?

ROM looks good. Functioning smoothly. However I didnot see privacy settings option. Also I am just curious to know if you have any plans of implementing a wake lock blocker in the ROM itself?
Have installed it yesterday and will report back on the battery performance in couple of days. Good work though! Thanks for a new ROM
Hey great ROM so far except one minor problem. After setting some custom navigation setting(double and long press), the home button doesn't instantly go home, it hangs for a second. It was an instant transition before tinkering with the nav settings.

That is because you have assigned multiple functions to home key. It will wait for short interval to be sure you are done with your input. When it has no other function other than just navigating to home; it would quickly navigate. However if double press would introduce a lag in having a single press function. Its not a bug. I have seen this in other ROMs as well. Technical limitation i would say!

When it has no other function other than just navigating to home; it would quickly navigate. However if double press would introduce a lag in having a single press function. Its not a bug. I have seen this in other ROMs as well. Technical limitation i would say!

It's only if you set a function for double tap, with long press there is no delay with the home button

Paranoid Android is an aftermarket custom ROM built upon AOSP
but with several enhancements from upstreams
like CodeAuroraForums.
New Features:
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Pocket Lock
This feature prevents any form of accidental input when your device is in your pocket by disabling input sources. You can simply release Pocket Lock by long pressing the power button as highlighted by the minimal UI incase of any sort of obstruction or dust on the sensors.
Accidental Touch
Accidental Touch is a feature useful for many, especially the gamers out there. It prevents any sort of accidental touch on hardware buttons while the touchscreen is in use. This means you won’t experience any unexpected behaviour while playing games, web browsing or even when attempting to reach your finger out to the edge of that humongous display.
