[ROM][UNOFFICIAL] CyanogenMod 12.1 Built From Official Source Code [12-09-2015] - OnePlus 2 Android Development

This is a build of CyanogenMod 12.1 for the OnePlus 2.
This ROM is built directly from the CyanogenMod source code with absolutely no changes to it. It is meant to take the place of the official CyanogenMod nightlies until they come.
This build is currently in Alpha/Beta so it may not have all of the standard OnePlus 2 or CyanogenMod features implemented quite yet.
I will do my best and try to upload weekly builds if there have been changes made to the source code.
Code:
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
A lot.
Now that the standard disclaimer is out of the way...
I have built CyanogenMod for the OnePlus 2 directly from the official source code from the CyanogenMod team. I am not a developer. I am just a builder of the source code. If you submit any bug reports here, I will attempt to forward them to the CyanogenMod team, however there are no guarantees as to when or if I will see them. If you know how to, I would suggest posting your issue on the CyanogenMod OnePlus 2 GitHub page (Listed in the credits below). Any other questions are welcome here! This ROM is entirely untested as I currently do not have the ability to do so, so I am reaching out to the community for help with this. There is no guarantee that this ROM will be stable or that it will even boot for that matter. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! Thanks to everyone!
ROM:
AFH
Google Drive
MediaFire
GApps:
As I have not been able to test this ROM yet, I would just assume that you could use any Lollipop GApps package with it.
I personally use OpenGApps.
Bugs:
-FP Not working
-Laser AF does not turn off after closing camera app. Reboot required before using camera again. (Disabled in latest build)
You tell me!

I'm not sure. As I stated in the first post, I have not been able to test the ROM yet. It is built directly from the CyanogenMod source code. I have not changed any of the code for it.

*okay - ill report when I get this going

Laser autofocus keeps turned on after camera app is closed, need reboot to use camera again. Overall, great rom, smooth.

Fingerprint working?

No, FP not working, i think because we don't have sources of FP.

Thank the CyanogenMod team. Not me!
I'll see if I can submit a bug report to the CM team. I'll update the original post accordingly too. Thanks!

Using any root file explorer, try deleting "sensors.hal.tof.so"
Location should be system/lib64/hw/ and the file will be in there. Reboot and try again to see if this fixes it.

Hey everyone. I just got approved as a developer on Android File Host so I will upload the ROM to there ASAP and update the original post with the new link for (hopefully) faster downloads!

I would recompile the ROM without this file, but seeing as how long it takes to compile a ROM, I will try to remember to remove it before the next build instead. For now I'm just going to leave it though. As I have previously stated, I am not a developer, so I was wondering... Does this actually fix the laser AF or does it just disable it? Thanks for your input!

ROM uploaded to AFH and links updated!

just disables it. Doesn't fix it

I need everyone's input on this. Should I keep these builds as the pure CyanogenMod builds so that we will get all of the latest bug fixes and features straight from the CyanogenMod team, or should I see about applying different ROM fixes/workarounds such as the camera workaround which disables the laser auto focus entirely?

it hopefully will be coming soon. eveyrthing is in place except for one of josh's commits, the device trees are ready all we need is a maintainer. Id do it but frankly i dont think id be good enough at it
im gonna try my hand at being a maintainer for a rom i just ported and am talk to the lead dev about getting official but CM is outta my league
however i will provide builds(ill try to do daily but i cant guarantee it) until the rom goes official

This ROM should work, I don't see why it wouldn't
Try flashing it and if it doesn't work let me know and I'll hello you figure out why
And no, there's almost no way you'll ever be able to get KitKat on this device, the best you could do is a KitKat theme

I'll look into it but I really have no estimate
I don't want to be a maintainer of the ROM(I don't think I would be good enough) so we'll go official whenever someone wants to maintain it
Does this support LTE version
Download?
Where is the download?
@keanon are you able to read the op?
It says: "Check back in several minutes"
Means a new build is on its way why it's senseless to flash an older one, but wait instead for the new one

DISCLAIMER: I AM IN NO WAY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS ON YOUR DEVICES CAUSED BY FLASHING THESE BUILDS. THE UPSTREAM CODE AND BUILDING IS MAINTAINED BY THE CYANOGENMOD TEAM, NOT ME. I AM NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR TEAM, I AM JUST THE THREAD OWNER.
It was a fun round of unofficial nightlies but the official upstream CM13 builder for shamu is active! Please use the new download links below to grab the official nightlies. Dirty flash seems to work fine if you go from my unofficial 11-29 build to the official 11-30 one. As mentioned in the first post, I will be ceasing my personal builds for now and leave it to the CM team.
Notes: CyanogenMod's stock kernel forces encryption of storage. Please download one of the third party kernels if you wish to avoid this. Also this thread assumes you have kept up to date with bootloaders and radio. At the time of writing, the latest is from the MRA58K release and can be downloaded here.

Correct, but not nightly and as far as I can tell albinoman887 is also making fixes which implies altering of upstream code. My thread intends to serve as a purely upstream source build.

I would like to say thank you, and I believe that this ROM deserves its own thread respectfully. Since there isn't much action from that other Alpha build and if you are truly building on a nightly basis then this is much appreciated and I look forward to testing.

Thanks for the support and glad to build it. Just to make sure credit is given where due, any bug fixes will be made only by the CyanogenMod team and/or any git contributors. Not sure if you'll get much support from me either but I'll certainly be glad to give any tips I find. For example, if this one specific bug rears its ugly head again, you may need to rename the SetupWizard apk inside /system/app-priv/ as that has been constantly force closing for me prior to today's build.

No features added whatsoever If they add it upstream (included in CM) it'll be here, otherwise no. Absolutely stock. Consider me a third party buildbot slave
Very nice ROM. Just to let everyone know I just finished flashing with the Open GApps Pico and it's working fine. I know, it's bad form to use something that's not recommended.
One quick question, do we get any notification that the new nightly is ready to flash or do we just check the download site?

For now just the download site. I may setup something similar to the pushbullet feed Chroma has if people are interested but haven't spent the time to do it yet. New 11-23 build is up now though
Edit: Woot, looks like they fixed the system rw mounting. Hm but my test file disappeared on reboot.. maybe not yet

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.
Features
Pure AOSP
It's pure AOSP (based on Slim and CAF)
Downloads

NFC is stuck and causes a wakelock, remove NFC's APK from /system/app, so no, Android Pay does not work
And Baseband is not detected, this is a common issue with newer ROMs on the VS985, ill hunt down CM's commits for this
Probably a gapps issue, but Google Play Services refuses to work for signing in at the first boot, looking for my old gapps now, ill edit this if it was indeed because of the March 10th Gapps
Otherwise, it runs smooth as butter, keep up the good work!

I haven't seen your version of g3-common or anything but on most ROMs this winds up being what you need to do
As far as Gapps, it only happens when you install OpenGapps Stock builds, pico runs perfectly
as far as NFC, ill try replacing the apk for it and libs from CM or XenonHD and get those posted if they work

You are welcome
Found some odd little issue on the Newest Build, unsure if this one applies to the previous, but the Ringer, regardless of what ringtone is set, does not ring, and Autobrightness does not work, so turning it off is the only way to set brightness, and because you're using CM device trees and kernels, you technically have the proper libs, unless those files are on CM's venders for LG :silly:

Hey, thanks for pointing out those issues, yes i am using CM kernel and device trees i guess that's the reason brightness is not working properly because even CM had that issue many users reported that, i guess its fixed. Ill build again and see if these issues are fixed and if they are ill post the build. AOSPB guys haven't updated their source from past 17 Days that's the reason i didn't make a new build. Thanks once again

A lot.
WHAT IS THIS ROM?
This rom is based of the original Cyanogen Mod however root option has been removed off the rom. This allows for the use of all major banking apps without installing extra Xposed modules and is great for people who want the benefits of Cyanogen Mod without the risks of having root!
All of the default apps work without issues and that includes the theme engine because none of it requires root access!
Once I have compiled the code I will always test it on my Oneplus 2 to make sure that it works without issues.

Your welcome good to have positive feedback! You will see the root options still in developer options but rest assured they don't work. I'm currently figuring out how to remove the options as well to make it cleaner!
-Sean
Um how exactly do you plan on having CM features when these need root for the settings to work? Pretty sure no root will break themes also?

Hi,
Themes are coded into the OS and do not require root for them to function. Plus you get the benefits like the speed, battery life and other great features!
