Hey mate! Isn't charging at 5V/1A a little slow? I don't know, just saying. Thanks.

Just got the Anker Powercore+ . It's a monster
http://the-gadgeteer.com/2016/03/13/anker-powercore-26800-quick-charge-2-0-usb-wall-charger-review/

Since Z5 premium is quick chargeable device, I will recommend you AUKEY QUALCOMM CERTIFIED 16000MAH QUICK CHARGE 3 POWERBANK QC3.0
I have been using this powerbank for months and it works fine.
Compared to other power banks that do not come with Qualcomm Quick Charge technology, this power bank really provides a faster and stable charge.
However, it is quite heavy for regular users, or maybe you can buy a smaller one but of course, comes with smaller battery capacity.
You can Google it for more reviews, but for me, it is the best power bank I have ever used.

[Q] Interesting charging issue

Hello guys,
I'm experiencing a rather interesting charging issue. I've got a perfectly working 2000mA dual USB-charger capable of delivering full output when using one socket and sharing output when using two. Charging my friends i9300 with this set-up is no problem: I measured that the charger delivers 800-900 mA to the charging i9300, well below its maximum output. Things are not going that smooth on my phone...
Charging is extremely slow. In fact, when my phone is on it consumes more power than its receives. I'm using a pretty common case/battery pack (picture below). Connecting the charger directly to my phone, it delivers 80 - 150 mA. This is confirmed by a simple USB current/voltage meter and the Galaxy Charging Current Pro app. Charging through my case/battery pack delivers 450 mA according to the USB-meter and 300 mA according to the app (I'm assuming that the inefficiency of the case/battery pack draws quite some power).
Does anyone have a clue why the direct connection is yielding less current compared to the indirect charging process?

These phones draw varying power depending on several criteria, if too hot or nearing full charge then the current will be reduced. Custom kernel or mods can break it, also hardware fault are know in the usb socket and controlling IC.

Thanks, not sure why you're posting that quote. I've looked into several related topics and found this to be somewhat different, since I still can't think of a reason why direct charging is less effective than indirect charging.

Fast Charging

Just came from a nexus 6p and with that phone I got a fast charging notification on my lock screen when I was using my USB C charger, I've still got my nexus charger and I've got a quick charge 3 car charger now that I've tried with my swift 2.
Both chargers do charge quicker than a standard charger but I was just wondering if the swift is supposed to display a fast charging notification as mine doesn't seem to.
What do you guys use to charge these mobiles?
Got to say the battery life is really good and my phi e is now lasting all day were I was having to charge my 6p all the time.

Since nougat, the fast charging label in the lockscreen is gone, although the phone does charge using QC3.0 (Personally checked with my chargers). Also, you can check the voltage and amp input using apps like Ampere.
Cool, I was just unsure about the notification not being there, my phone updated to android N as soon as I got it so had nothing to compare it to.
Mine shows rapid charging when use QC 3.0 Aukey charger [emoji3]

Need help with power bank!

Hey all.
First of all if there is another thread regarding this problem please move this one or delete it, I couldn't find it. Now for the question.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S9+ and I'm looking for a power bank to charge it on the go. The reason I post this is because I have the Exynos version of the phone (instead of the Qualcomm which has quick charge and there are qc power banks available) and I'm looking for a power bank that can do "Adaptive Fast Charging". The Samsung ones are bit pricey for what they offer. The wall adapter says 9V 1.67A, however I've read posts about people who can't fast charge their phone power bank that supports quick charge (the qualcomm qc ones).
If anyone has found a good power bank that can fast charge their (Exynos version) phone please reply.
Thanks and sorry for the long post.

Does it show "fast charging" on your phone?
I have a KINPS KP-S009 20,000mAh power bank, and although it does not say fast charging, the phone states the exact same length of time left to full charge as it does when I connect it to my Samsung charger and it says Fast Charging
KINPS KP-S009 - Cable Charging - 18m to full charge
Samsung Charger: - Fast Charging - 18m to full charge
Anker do several models, I have one of these, does fast charging on my S9...

What power bank did you end up buying?
The exynos S9 is QC 2.0 capable.
I deeply apologize for the late reply! I bought the Samsung Wireless Powerbank which has 10.000mAh capacity and a wireless charging pad. The reason for the wireless option was to charge my Galaxy Watch too.
Again, sorry for the late reply!

MacBook Pro USB C charger charges Mate 20 X insanely fast charging Mate 20 X

Hey guys I've just discovered that the MacBook Pro USB C charger charges Mate 20 X insanely fast. The Ampere readings are off the charts and charging speed has almost doubled.

the one I'm using is an original Mac book pro one which is around $70 but you can find the generic ones on Amazon for $38 I'm going to buy an extra one for my office. It is an 87 watt charger but it charges the phone a lot faster than the original Huawei one.
Just tried my handset on a couple of USB-PD chargers and getting 16W consistently.
i tried with mac pro original charger, i am getting around 3k miliAmp/hr on mac charger and 4-4.5k on huawei charger. Are you getting more than 3k on mac charger ?
MateBook X Pro Charger seems to result in something like 16W charging(just my estimate)

What's the max mA it charges at?
The stock 20x charger charges at over 4000mA when I plug it in with 50% battery.
Does it do better than that?
I heard these super fast chargers damaged batteries.

They won't necessarily damage the battery but will reduce it's lifespan. I generally use a Samsung charger, Qualcomm quick charge 2.0 , I also use do my best to use the 40 to 80% rule when charging.

there is my link or search like wireless s7 charger XD
Get some charger right now ! have a fun with charging !
Hello! I also got a wireless charger same as yours, from the guy I bought my S7. What really is annoying me is that the phone gets too hot while charging and I'm not sure that is very good for battery. Also it charges slower than cable charger, so I'd abandoned it in a box.

I understand completely. I opted to spend a little more and get one that not only stands the phone up but, will charge in portrait or landscape and keep it cooler while charging with a built-in fan that comes on while charging. This could be your answer too ..if you're still interested in wireless charging for you S7 or similar phone. Right now, Amazon has it for $19.99 usd (2 Feb 2020).
It's called the "VersionTECH Qi Wireless Charger" You will use the power brick that came with your phone to power it.
You'll have to search for the title above at Amazon since I'm limited from adding the link currently..
I've been very pleased with it for several months now. :good:
Anyway, hope that helps ... Let us know.
