Files not showing on pc - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

This is a first for me and I've tried Google with not much luck but after I rooted my v10 I've not been able to see the files I downloaded on internal drive. It happened right after instaling no name Rom hence the only 2 files that show we're the first 2 I downloaded but I've downloaded more since then but they don't show when conected to my computer. This includes pictures as well. But the files are very much there they show with any android file explorer and the only way I've been able to view them is if I pull them the internal folder and move them to the micro sd. I've never come across this issue before was wondering if anybody had any advice.

Click to collapse
I'm guessing you have a defective sd card there was a problem going around with tmous sd cards. Call tmobile and get it replaced.
it just started this i was able to move stuff around but untill recently it just started
i can create the folder drag stuff in once i disconnect the phone and reconnect it the folders cant be opened no more it has that like return arrow on the folder im not sure why

Cant see files from PC

I have an issue, I copied some files to the internal storage of the atrix, but for some reason I have gone to copy these back to PC, but can no longer locate the files, the folder they were in is still there, but not the files. If I look for the files on the phone, they are still there?...
I do not have encryption enabled. Is there a reason for this??... I cannot figure out why this is the case, I want to use my phone similar to a flash drive, just for convenience.....
Any ideas??
Thanks
Nevermind, got it, apparently under the motorola phone portal you cannot see the other files, need to change the USB connection on the phone to mass storage.

SGS2 internal sd card infected with virus :/

So, long story short: my internal sd card is infected with virus
The details:
Today I plugged my phone via usb to my laptop to transfer some files when I discovered that all of my folders have become .exe files. When I tried to open them, my antivirus software said there is a trojan, to be exact this one - Win32.HLLW.Napad.
Last week I was using my friend's usb drive in my phone with the option USB on the Go and maybe this was the source of the infection.
Anyway, the question is what to do now??? I am using Dr. Web on my laptop, scaned the internal sd card and found 61 infected files/folders. The problem is I can't cure them. The only option is to move them to quarantine. When I do that and plug my phone again, they are gone. BUT when I use file manager on the phone, the files and folders are still there.
After moving the files/folders to quarantine... and use file manager on my phone to browse the internal sd, their extensions are displayed corectly now. Before that all the folders were .exe. What does that mean???
Any suggestions how to cure/clean them cuz I don't want to delete any of them. We're talking about pics folder, data, music & etc. ??
Thanks in advance.
Try one of the many data restore packages via USB to PC.. sure a search will provide plenty available.
If not able to retrieve format the storage yes you will loose everything but hey presto problem solved, not that that virus 'if isn't false positive" would be a problem to device since not same architecture..
Then in future keep backing up images to computer or us online storage from phone...

4.2 SD Card Problem

I have an ATT SGS3 and today I flashed 4.2. Everything is cool, but due to multiple flashes over the past few days, I had several (0) folders on my SD card. I know this is due to 4.2 having the option to have multiple users. Since I had like 6 (0) folders, I moved my main folder back to the newest folder. The problem? While I can see the folder in Root Explorer and CWM, it does not show up when I plug it into the computer via USB. I only see one folder and nothing else.
How can I fix it so I can see this folder when plugged into the computer? The way it is now, my personal ringtones, music and everything else are not being found as they are not being seen.
Thanks for any help!!

[Q] Folders from SGS2 not visible on PC

I have searched a lot through web but just cannot find a solution for this.
Before taking the pill:fingers-crossed:, when everything was simple, I was able to access all my files and folders, that were visible in my file manager, on the PC.
Everything changed, after rooting the device and installing a custom ROM, it's a bit complicated. Not all folders from my phone are visible on the PC.
I am using a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100. When I connect my phone to the PC, I can see 2 folders, Internal Storage+SdCard. Just recently I took a backup of everything using MyBackupPro and now I want to copy that backup to the PC. But it just wont show me the folders!
I am using Root Explorer on the phone and the paths are something like "/mnt/storage/sdcard1/rerware/.."
Now I copied this folder to "/mnt/storage/sdcard0/rerware", which is my Internal storage I guess. The folder is still not visible!
Please advise.

Ninad
