Additional Signature Fonts? - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I found a font in LG SmartWorld that I love (HUThegame) but it isn't showing up on my options for my Second Screen Signature font is there any way to load additional fonts for it? Preferably without rooting (I just got the phone yesterday so I don't want to kill my warranty if I can avoid it; also the last time I rooted a phone it was using TowelRoot on the S5 and that made me nervous as all h*** with all the warnings that it was malware)
Thanks in advance for the help.

First off, even with root, I don't believe anyone has found that yet...
Second, if you do root it shouldn't effect your warranty, as LG doesn't have a Knox type security, so you can go back to completely stock with no repercussions.

xposed?

I have never used xposed but want to try it so i dont have to flash a new rom. Im just worried that i might get stuck in a boot loop and with no custom recovery yet i wont be able to fix it. Should i just wait for bootloader unlock or should i be fine. I have 4 kid and cant lose access to my phone in case of emergencies.
Edit**** i have installed xposed and so far everything i have tries in g3 tweakbox and gravity box has caused no problems.

I've been running xposed since root was released a couple days ago. If I have to question myself at all about a module, or a setting in a module working properly, I don't use it. I'm surprised there is so much drama going on about this. Yes, you can screw up things if you just go installing and activating modules and settings without researching first but, why would you do that?
Here are the modules I'm running :
Xposed GEL settings
JustBack(probably repetitive but it works)
G3 tweaksbox
YouTube adaway
And that Pandora one that got removed a while back

I personally won't use xposed until I am able to have backup (nandroid) . There are to many things that could go wrong if your new to it. Correct me if I'm wrong but you need to have root 1st before running xposed ?

You're wise to wait. We'll start seeing posts soon from those who've borked their shiz being to impatient to wait for an unlocked bootloader and recovery for backing up.

What settings have you experimented with (successfully)? I'm interested in installing the module, but I've had a lot of times in the past (with other phones) where I've gotten in a boot loop, which required me to disable xposed from recovery. That would be very difficult to fix without a custom recovery, so I'm torn on whether or not to install it. Not sure how long a custom recovery is going to take.
I don't mean to be the voice of unsound reason, but I think the concerns are overstated.
Use TB to backup your apps and the associated data/meta data.
If you jack your phone up you can use the factory recovery and restore from the readily available factory roms.
If you jack your phone up so bad that you cant get into recovery... you probably shouldn't be doing anything you find on this site.

This actually happened to me. I TiBued everything then tried to change the build.prop. Bootlooped, and I was stuck without a phone overnight until I saw the post over in the back to stock thread on how to get it back working (Sprint is a slightly different procedure). That said, I'm back to where I was without much lost.

Ok guys ive done my research and it seems fairly simple to recover so im going to throw caution to the wind and install it after i get off work.

Has anyone used G3 Tweaksbox to chang the status bar icons with success? So far, I've been able to modify the clock, battery icon, hide some status bar icons, change the behavior of the home button, disable the charging notifications, and hide some navigation bar items, all without an issue. But I'd love to replace the signal icons with something more reasonable. Sprint's LTE/3G icons are such a waste of space. I assume that the status bar icon pack would change those, but I haven't tried.
I'm very tentative with the changes, because I must've borked my S4 5 or 6 times modifying stuff with the tweak module that was available for that. It wasn't a big deal then, because I could just flash the disabler, or restore to a nandroid backup. We obviously don't have that luxury yet. I'm sorry if this comes off as "drama" to some, but I'm just trying to avoid having to flash it back to stock if I can.
I'm using xposed with gravity box & xblast tools. Changed the status bar icons, color, & could only change navbar size. Can only go so small before it distorts but you can see it as you slide the size slider.
Almost forgot, & for whatever reason I can't edit post but, I also tried using the 3 dot menu, don't try, totally lost navbar. I panicked for a couple seconds but just went to settings/apps/all & uninstalled 3 dot menu right from there, rebooted & all was good.

It worked for me im running aosp icons
everything is awesome!!!!!!
The sprint specific stuff is where I personally would err on the side of caution as well. I'm very happy that it turned out well for those who changed those icons. A list of settings that are confirmed working on the sprint variant would be nice for other forum members to have in the OP.
I can confirm that "enable status bar sliding" in g3 tweaksbox works. Just be sure to uncheck automatic brightness under display in settings.

v10 Root Questions

Hey all just have a bunch of questions on rooting LGV10
I notice a lot of times suggestions are made and provided with links that are for the G4. Is it safe to assume G4 tweaks will work on the V10? Especially those found in Xposed
Also has Xposed issue of the fc been resolved yet?
And lastly are their any mods to change the Navigation Bar buttons. Not rearrange but rather change the actual icon. I would rather not have a circle triangle and box for mine.
Xposed still gives fc on second screen. No easy way to change the home screen buttons yet, but I'm sure the devs will figure that out. Not sure about the G4 question though. I think some of its the same.

Anyone tried softkeyz yet? It might be worth a try
Noob question but is there root on the f6400k version

Change Soft Keys Navigation

Hey all. Is there any way of changing the stock V10 Navigation buttons look. I honestly am not happy with them.
I already tried using SoftKeyz and it did not work. I installed BusyBox but got rid of it as it seemed to slow down my phone and overheat a little.
Is there any solution to this?
Well (if you consider rooting your phone) you could install xposed and G4 TWEAKS box which enables you to install various themes for your navigation bar
Word of advice. So far root is problem free for me. But xposed cripples the second screen. So be advised if you consider this option
Phone is already rooted. I am waiting on an xposed fixed before I grab it. Have their been any updates on the FC?

Any idea on how I can get the nav key themes I've downloaded to show up either on the phone setting or the g4 tb? The apk's for all of the 5 or so I've downloaded aren't showing up anywhere?

Navbar mods?

I love my Honor 6X. In fact, I've bought 3 of them in my household. The one thing that just drives me nuts though, is the spacing of the buttons on the navigation bar. I've searched and searched online and have not been able to find any way to change it. I'm using the Lineage theme so the buttons are Pixel-like, but I want them spaced out like stock Android instead of so close together. Anyone have any way of doing this? I'm rooted with bootloader unlocked on stock EMUI 5/Nougat.
Thanks!
caseym
Hi caseym. Same here. I purchased 3 of them when the BB deal came out. I'm afraid that you would have to use a custom ROM to get the navigation keys at the spacing of your liking. You can change them with a theme and you can re-arrange them (settings/navigation key) but nothing beyond that, other than changing the resolution (settings/display/view mode). For my taste the current custom ROMs are not ready yet for my main phone though. I've replaced Moto G4 Plus' on which we ran the Invicta ROM (best rom for that phone). Once the custom roms for the 6X reach similar status I'd consider them.
cheers
So, you can choose to use an app like this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-custom-navigation-bar-customize-t3590967 (no root, no Xposed required) or you can manual do that via adb, following the tutorial here https://www.xda-developers.com/how-...icons-or-re-arrange-the-buttons-without-root/

Whoa sorry, both methods are a pain to EMUI, didn't noticed that. Well, check this one then https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/themes-apps/mod-navbar-tuner-enabler-t3615628 it requires substratum, but it should work on many OEMs Roms.
Thanks all for the suggestions. I've looked at some of these options and found exactly what derausgewanderte pointed out. I'll try the substratum mod.
Unfortunately, the substratum theme doesn't work. Try to enable it after installation, it says I have to reboot phone, reboot and it's disabled again. Guess we're stuck with what we have. I don't want a custom rom...battery life on this phone is absolutely amazing and I don't want to chance messing with that. Thanks for the responses.

Guess the same, at the moment... You're welcome.
I agree. It's looking odd especially if you got used to the AOSP looks.

Issues I hope someone can fix

So, I took the plunge and went with the m20p. I upgraded phone and plan which made it hard to beat. But... These are the nagging issues which make me hate my experience. If anyone has any suggestions or tricks let me know.
1. No access to hosts file.
If anyone has a better way then using an adblocking browser or running a VPN for blocked by let me know.
2. No root!
I know there's nothing we can do here, but literally all of my problems would go away if we did.
3. Unable to remove most status bar icons.
This one baffles me. Why put in a monstrous notch, only to fill it with unnecessary icons. I've managed to remember be some of them with sysuituner but not enough to be functional.
I'm sure there's more, but I'm finished on the throne now

For the status bar icons you can use the system ui tuner app from the play store. I was able to remove the NFC icon. You can also remove the carrier name in the display settings. Those 2 changes gave me room for 2 to 3 extra notifications. ?

Yeah, I did that, but I've got volte and signal on the side and clock and battery on the other. I've still got no room. I disabled them all on system UI tuner so anything left I'm out of luck.

Seems this is the route I have to go. I've been using
