CM11 dead links - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any active link for latest version of CyanogenMod11 for i9100? And i mean all nightlies and stable versions. CM site says its no longer supported, because of this fancy CM12 (works slow, so i want to downgrade)
I've looked everywhere.. Unless cm-11-20141115-SNAPSHOT-M12-i9100 is supposed to be fin.
e: [4.4.4]

You could try Lanchons builds from 09/15 from HERE(In CM-Lanchon folder). It is stock CM11 at the time of building. You can also get his trim kernels for CM11 there as well

Official CM11 nightly, I think....

I saw today that the CM website has a nightly build of CM11 available for the Inc4g now. It's the first nightly build they have posted as far as I can tell. I don't know if it's different than the unofficial CM11 build posted on the development forum so I don't know if it requires any special recovery version like the unofficial build did. I'm also assuming it uses the same gapps version as the unofficial build does.
Just thought i'd mention it for anyone interested.

Official vs Unofficial

What does it take for a ROM to move from unofficial to official or is that not how it works? For example, I run cm11 official because its official. I would like to run cm12 but it says unofficial.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.. But... Unofficial is usually when someone compiles the build themselves and share. They sometimes add commits that have not been merged into official builds. Sometimes add add-ons that may not be supported in official builds. Sometimes a dev team may not have a maintainer for a specific official build. Most times unofficial builds aren't always as dependant as official. Sometimes they can be better.
As for CM 12. It went official last night. They are nightly builds, but they are official now. The thread is in the original development section. You can go to the CM site and it shows all the official 11 builds and then starting with 1/6 it is now on official 12 nightly. Hope that helps. ?
Just to clarify. The official CM11 thread is where to go for more info right now. Sure they will probably start a new one soon, but the link still takes you to CM and the latest build is the CM 12 from today 1/6. http://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=vs985&type=nightly

[Q] Which rom (4.4.x or 5.1.x) is best for daily use?

I want install a custom rom on my girlfriend's galaxy s2, but I would be sure that the rom I choose hasn't camera/audio/3g/wifi bugs. I saw the paranoid rom with android 4.4 and cm rom 12.1 nightly but I'm undecided which one to choose. Can someone give me a suggestion? Also on other rom
If you want to run on a newer Android version, here's a link to a unofficial CyanogenMod ROM of Lysergic Acid. The newest build is Android 5.1.2 but I don't know if everything works. I am using an older build (03/31 EOL Build) which is Android 5.0.2. No major bugs at me, WiFi, Network, Bluetooth, Camera, Audio all working. Only noticed that device is getting very hot at hard usage and sometimes WiFi Hotspot doesn't work. Battery lifetime is ok. I don't recommend the official nightly version because as the name says it's full of bugs.

If you want to avoid any kind of little bugs here is a stable official version of CM:

Hope this helps.

Official ROMs vs Unofficial ROMs

Hi
well I have no experience with Custom-ROMs, so can someonePlease explain to me
where exactlythe difference between Official ROMs and Unofficial ROMs is ?
What would you recommend in terms of stability
thanks
This is what I believe it means, using CyanogenMod as an example (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CyanogenMod).
AFAIK the CyanogenMod team develop their custom rom for a generic platform. They then select a number of devices and customize the generic version so it can be applied and used on these selected devices.
An official CyanogenMod ROM is when the CyanogenMod team have selected the device and done the extra work for the custom ROM to work on that device themselves.
Unofficial means that the extra work to tailor the custom CyanogenMod ROM for the device is done by other developers, who use the generic base which CyanogenMod provide.
To my understanding its more like sub-beta, directed mainly for flash freaks (count me in).
Regarding stability some official ROMs are far from stable, while some unofficial are ages in front.
Thanks guys for the great explanation....appreciate it...
well , During my search for a good ROM software I have often read that the 2 Roms was s always recommended
1. Temasek
2. LiquidSmooth
i mean are both roms really good and stable on s3?
or would you recommend something else
thanks
I would recommend CM12.1 as a daily driver. Is clean and fast. It works way better than stock Samsung ROMs and is very stable thanks to @JustArchi. It also drain less battery and has a good power save feature.

My current setup is this:
Recovery: TWRP
ROM: CM12.1
Kernel: Boeffla
And never been happier with my i9300
Hi
I have the latest version temasek's UNOFFICIAL CM12.1 v18.0 flashed + PA-GOOGLE APPS Plus GOOGLE STOCK PACKAGE
and I must say it really makes a great impression, everything seems stable so far.....
well the only thing that bothers me is the (ugly white background in Android Lollipop)but its just a matter of taste :silly:
Plus the newer builds of CM12.1 have OTA updater working.
How would you estimate the stability and performance of CM12.1 ROM's compared to official CM11 nightlies?
Flashed official CM11 once. Within 30 minutes of testing a had plenty of crashes and several Cannot connect to camera.
Lot of people here say that there is no need to move to Lolipop, because Kitkat is far more stable.. However I wouldn't agree.

Cm12.1 network Problems

Hi Guys,
i love cyanogenmod and hate Stock based roms.
But i always have network Problems on cm12.1 (on any Version in the last months).
Sometimes WiFi is not connecting, But the biggest problem:
My phone loses mobile data very offen. I take my phone out of the pocket and I see a "!" at the signal symbol.
After rebooting, mobile Data works again and I get my whatsapp and fb messages....
My provider is O2 Germany...
On Stock based Roms, E. G. Existenz, i dont have Problems like this...
Pls help me..
Dont use CM12.1 for daily drivers
Because its still on Nightly Status
Means BUGS!
Otherwise wait for CM12.1 Snapshot builds
Means STABLE!
But Dont Know When It Comes.
For Z2 CM11 is Available as Snapshot
But nobody use
Because it's now outdated
Must Try ROMs like
Resurrection Remix v5.5.9 (lollipop final build stable for daily use)
Any another CM based ROMs you Want like to try,
AICP,MoKee OS, etc...
About ME I'm also a CM fan more then Stock
