Lock Screen Removal/Bypass?

Just curious if anyone knows of any method/software to get past the lock screen on an LG G5 (Rogers is the carrier in Canada). My little brother recently passed away (he was 29....) and we are wanting to get any pictures we can and make sure we take care of his estate/accounts. I have found the "Dr. Fone" software by wondershare but it looks super sketchy and i've yet to find any confirmed cases of anyone using it successfully to remove the lock screen on a device. It is completely stock and is still on Marshmallow (the Nougat update is pending). If anyone knows it would be greatly appreciated

So sorry to hear a bout your lose. I know the pain, brother died 8 months ago And sister few years back. Rip to your brother and my siblings.
But back to your question. Did you try taken out sd card? Most stock and 3rd party cam apps go to pictures on sd. I am sure you google already. As you can see there isn't many options for lockscreen bypass.
Later on today I will test that program out for you and report results.
Bump help this guy out people. Maybe someone knows more?
Question could he call google and supply proof of relationship and death of owner. Then google would provide password? Doubt it, just curious.

Another FRP Bypass Question for the LG Aristo (T-Mobile)

I've looked at nearly every website.
I've looked at nearly every video.
Nothing seems to work. With the latest Security Patch (January 2017), I cannot install Apps from Unknown Locations (The option is greyed out during the Setup Wizard) and any of the other ideas simply don't work either. Google has pretty much locked down any attempt now to bypass FRP.
I know there are others here who have done it. What I'm asking is if they have any other ideas, save for turning the phone into a doorstop. I don't have the option to take it to T-Mobile, since this phone was recovered from a student's locker and was never claimed. I need to wipe it clean, but the FRP is preventing any further action.
Hold on, I'll message you.

I can also provide verification that I own the phone. I'm getting an unknown error that stays to try again after 24 hours. I have waited even up to 2 weeks.
I also have a LG Aristo MS210 LV 3 (SIDE NOTE: Inside back cover reads....not sure if its anything important but I figured I add it in anyways......
*** LG-LV 3 >PC< L M9 ***
I am looking for Lollipop 5.0 for it, if its possible to run lollipop on it that is. lol I got it from a 3rd party and I did a Factory Reset without knowing about the FRP. My last device had KK 4.4 so when I did resets on it there wasn't any FRP. Surprise to me I gift from Google. lol
So anyways, I have not got past FRP so I figure Lollipop wasn't to bad. lol
Any help be very much appreciated!!!!!!!
Cuz soon if not working,it going to be come Swiss Cheese!
Thanks in advanced
I've tried downgrading to the first firmware ms21010g (think it was g) I've also tried to upgrade and that did not work either so I thought maybe if I find a generic a lollipop for just a LG variant maybe a predecessor TV LG Aristo MS 210 LV3. not sure if it will work. Anybody out there have any ideas cuz I'm having one hell of a time trying to figure this out LOL any help would be much appreciated thanks

Those questions have already been answered so many times in different threads here that there really is NO need for yet another one.
Please do some searching, you'll find the answers you seek.

There are several issues with the g5. Including screen retention. Gps issues. And some bottom module issues but a good phone.
Please use our wonderful search functions and you should be able to find most of them....
Wifi Issues
Yeah, I bought mine in October and have had problems with Wifi dropping out several times per hour and none of the suggestions listed around the web have fixed it. It turns out this is a known issue with the phone. Not turning off Wifi Scanning under Location, not disabling mobile network switching, not whiping cache partition. I haven't done a FDR yet. Also, if you get the Sprint version and upgrade from 6.0 to 7.0 it will lock the previously unlocked handset to Sprint only. I hope this was helpful. Good luck:good:

Bricked LG V30 fix for qdloader 9008

Fix for 9008?

Did he charge anything for it... I've just started working on a fix for h932 with 9008 and it seems silly to reinvent the wheel...

Pretty sure he charges for the service. If you can make one for free, that would always be better.
Would H932 be any different method than the others?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but with a working 9008 flash, you could flash a h932 to any other 930 varient (OnePlus 6t uses it to convert the locked T-mo version to unlocked international) It's very low level, I'm not sure how deep the signature checking on qcom chips is, but if I manage to get it working, I'll share here.

All the services with a box on eBay say they can't do it for an H932.
I know it's different from other models, but I don't understand in what way. They mind as well explain it in Greek. Same difference.

Also who wants to open their own device and kill the water resistance. Send it to LG and you don't pay anything. LG pays to ship it to them and ship it back to you.

Yea I paid for the guys service. He downloaded Octopus and other software onto my pc to get it fixed.
The LG G2 has a 9008 fix. There should be a way for us to make a similar tools for the v30.

I just recently had my v30+ suffer the same brick mentioned in this post. I got in contact with the user @motogvasyag who was able to confirm that he was able to fix my device and even offered a refund if he was unable to fix it. He first had me installed a few programs and download a KDZ firmware for my LG v30+. Once everything was prepared he connected to my computer with TeamView and got the phone up and running within 20~ minutes. All I had to do was hold the power key and vol up to push the phone into download mode. Otherwise he handled everything else. He did charge me but it was worth it rather than having an expensive brick.

There are many people whose H932 has been turned into bricks near me. I think they will be happy if there is a way to rescue them. Even if it is not free.QAQ
In fact, my h932 is the same. I have to sell it as an accessory.

Has anyone yet found leaked h932 firehose? I know the question was asked and answered in March just wondering if it has been found since last post?
The T-Mobile aka H932 can't be fix! The rest of the models can be fixed easily.

The conversion done on the OnePlus TMO phones is only the non-signed partitions -- not partitions like xbl, abl, modem, etc...

Nope, and the chances of one ever leaking are slim to none. The reason TMO models are such a PITA is that TMO signs their firmware with their own cert. The firehose must be signed as well, and it has to be with the cert whose hash is in the CPU.
Since all the other models all use the same cert, they can cross flash, and if a firehose leaks for one, it is good for all -- and you have a LOT more places for it to leak from.

Advise on buying new LG V30

So I have left LG for some few years now but I want to return. Please I want to buy an LG phone and V30 is the best option for me with no notch. Please can someone give me advice on this? I remember LG phones are usually faulty when they first come out so is there a model number I should avoid? Thanks a lot .

I think h930, 930ds etc are the best one because all the custom development works for them.
See if you can buy v35. It's the same as v30 but with upgraded Snapdragon 845

Thanks for they reply. But my rooting days are over. Software development is not an issue for me. I just want a LG V30 that works perfectly without maybe screen issues, batteries drain etc.

Where do you live? For instance in you live in North America, you do not want H930 or H930DS as they don't have the major carrier bands.
For most people in Europe, H930/H930G.
Most everyone else, US998 V30+ or LS998 V30+ (which can easily be converted into US998 V30+). V30+ has 128GB internal memory.
Thanks for the replies. I was actually asking about defects that may have plague some v30 units during it's initial release. Like for example I heard some early models screens have blue when you look at it from the side etc. I will definitely see if it has network issues before paying. Thanks

The blue off screen viewing never bothered me, since I don't care that other people can't read my texts/emails.
I'm the one looking straight at my phone, so there's no blue. Why would YOU look at your phone from the side?
This was discussed in depth by early adopters and isn't an issue. See, problem is reviewers HAVE to find something wrong. They have to find pros and cons, because (except for XDA editors and their obsession with OnePlus) no phone can be perfect. And if early reviewers make it seem like something "CATASTROPHIC!" for their review headline, they will get more web views.
This phone was the best phone of 2017.

The off axis blue tint was the biggest bull**** I've heard reviewers say, probably ever. I've put this phone side by side with the Galaxy S9+, and the amount of blue tint is almost identical, as well as the overall quality of the display. Yet the Galaxy was praised for the display, while the V30's display was the most negative point they could bring up about the phone. The only REAL problem LG V30 had was the uneven display brightness that plagued the early models, and even that was only noticeable on very low brightness in the dark.

Hi so i just got my new LG V30 6 days ago and every thing was going great till 2 days ago I decided to update to pie via OTA. After the update the wifi signal is really poor. I now get frequent disconnect when using wifi. I have to sit next to my router before I get steady connection. Please what could be the problem?

Which V30 variant did you get? I assume one of the H930 since only they and the Korean variants have Pie?
Possibly factory reset can fix the issue, but this is one reason I don't like taking partial image OTA vs flashing full image KDZ.
Possible solutions:
* Factory Reset
* Reinstall Pie via LGUP Refurbish mode
* Downgrade back to most recent Oreo, until you're ready to try Pie again. See post #2 of the EU H930 KDZ thread. This is assuming you have H930?

Well, the solutions I mentioned are still valid except you need your variant KDZ, not H930.

The Dev Patched LGUP I would use is attached to post #2 of this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79964731&postcount=2
Those instructions are for downgrading H930, so ignore that. It's the version of LGUP attached to that post which I'm talking about. Install it, choose your Korean variant Pie KDZ you wish to flash and use "Refurbish" mode.

I was just about to start then remember I do not know which mode to set my phone on. should I put it in download mode or file transfer mode?
Update. I have flash the pie kdz with LGUP process set to refurbish and phone in download mode then factory reset. Still very very crappy wifi connection. My old galaxy s4, note 4, s7 and PC all connects easily and stays connected until I disconnect them. But my V30 will take time to connect and disconnect in like 10 seconds later. I will have to keep connecting about 20 times in a roll before it will finally connect well. Even then, a little distance from my router will disconnect it and then I will have to start trying to connect again. I am presently downloading Oreo. Will see if Oreo will solve my problem, as I am not exactly sure if the problem only started after OTA pie update.
All good in Oreo. I really love Pie tho
