I'm developing application, that allows to execute common actions with multitouch gestures. Application requires root. Could anyone test it and PM me if it works. I want make sure, before I enable Tablet S in market. Thanks in advance.

I've tried this app before (I posted in that thread at the time) and it didn't work, but it might've updated. I will try it out as soon as I get the chance.

Never mind, app now works as advertised, and all gestures perform their correct functions. Good work dev!!
This did not work for me either. Everything looks okay but gestures do not register.

Just checked it out again and still no dice on my Australian Sony Tablet S running 3.2.1r2. Service appears to start, but gestures don't register, either in multitouch or singletouch modes. No response at all when trying gestures, and the gestures are just recognised by the focussed applications (i.e. browser just scrolls instead of registering as a gesture).

Not sure if this is correct but your sig says stock 3.2.1, which I think is not rooted, and the app says it needs root. Mine isn't rooted so I can't use it either.
Now I'm lost . Anyone tried it on rooted device?

Sorry. My sig is miles out of date.
Mine is rooted and checking Superuser confirms that Gesture Control is granted access. The toast notification for su access shows on service start and no other errors show, but gestures do not register.
Today I added support for Sony S in GestureControl v1.6.1. You can download it from market or my thread:

Hi, I I checked the app and it works and does what it says on lite version I like how is so easy to hide status bar.. Good job

It looks like the HBO GO app was updated May 4 to support ICS... I was wondering what will be needed to get this to run on our Touchpads?
I go into the play store and it says

I couldn't get the multitasking trick to work. Is there some extra special trick to getting that to work?
If we're lucky, maybe someone will come up with a hacked version with the device check removed.

Here's how it works on my touchpad:
Start HBOGo app. When not supported message comes up hit multitasking button and switch to another app. From there hit home button, then multitask and switch back to HBOGo. Not supported message is still up. Don't do anything for about 5, 7 seconds. Message disappears and app starts working.
Hopefully this helps.

the key is to wait a couple seconds

the trick works for me and I only use the CM9 Nightlies.

LOL, typo. I must have been having a Dodgers moment.
Thanks for the Max Go as well. Both are operational with the same workaround. I still use a desktop enabled browser, even on the Touchpad, if I want to view the added features in combo with the stream. Those features are excellent on "The Game Of Thrones" for example.
I noticed the added feature support on the iPad app. I hope HBO/Cinemax will roll out a similar "tablet" app for android. Until then, I can make do with the files you provided.

Just chiming in to report that this Rezound port of HTC's simple-but-great flashlight app [mostly] works on the Inc4g:

The power button target is a bit off, though. You have to press a bit below and slightly to the right of the on-screen button.
I searched for other versions of this app, but this is the only one I could find so far. If someone else has a link to the original Incredible version or something else that works better, I'd like to see it. (too bad HTC doesn't include this anymore)

but I probably should've mentioned in my OP that I'm locked/unrooted... so I was just thinking about apps, not ROMs
or am I just being a noob here? can you share the apk?

correct em if I'm wrong but even being unrooted you may still be able to install apps, I have no clue though sorry
missed the htc dev unlock for root, or just nor your thing?

Exchanged my S3 for an Inc on Monday afternoon, right around the time HTCDev was pulling the plug on supporting Inc4g unlocks.

you should just be able to put the apk on ur sdcard and install it through package installer

When I try to install that apk after downloading it on my phone, I get an "Application not installed" error.
(whereas the Rezound version I posted the link to in the OP does install)

I get the same error on my wife's DINC4G

I DOWNLOADED, your flashlight from the market works good but it doesn't have the strobe or different brightnesses
i have the original backedup on my sdcrad, but it's a system app, can't restore til i get root

I installed it as an apk through Root Explorer. You can download it and install it directly from the link through your browser, though, as long as non-Market apps are allowed.

it's a zip file though, didn't know we could install root explorer. thought you needed root, i have it backed up.
You can install and use Root Explorer. It won't give you access to /system though. But installing apk's is fine. You can install apk's from any file browser as long as Unknown Sources is checked in your options.

I'm currently running hyperdrive and the only thing I'm missing is the voicemail app. Is there anywhere I can get just that app? I know I can dl all of the verizon bloat but I don't want anything besides that. I didn't see it in the play store. Thanks

I am trying to install the Vm apk and it will not install. The only error I get is xApplication not installed.
any ideas?
I tried moving it to the System\Apps folder and restarting it.
I also tried extracting the APK to the System\Apps folder and restarting it.

Noob question apologies...
Both the odex and apk files are listed. Do I need both of these files or JUST the apk? (visualvoicemail) If I need both, how do I install the odex file?

Update: I tried the apk you posted and I still get to the xApplication not installed error.
What I did was, downloaded your apk, copied that into the system/app folder, made sure permissions were rw--r--r.
Rebooted
Went back to that apk and ran it as an apk, still got error.
Could it be because of the odex file?

You would use both files if they are there. Those are from a stock version of the original software.
I have tried looking for the themer launcher in the play store on my phone and in the play store viaa browser. and i cant seem to find it. the link on the website gives a bad url.
Is anyone else having this issue?

there is already a post about this in this forum m8,themer shows fine for me in playstore although there have been some issues with other users having similar problems
Google Play filters apps available to your device and OS combination. I have an old phone and it didn't show up in the app store. After i updated it to KitKat, there it is. Try searching the store from a computer. it is definitely still there.
No it isn't. They've confirmed the problem on Twitter. It's been removed.
Was it removed by Google do you know? Is it permanent? It even disappeared off of the devices I had it on!

Unfortunately Themer has been temporarily removed from the Play Store. It should be up soon though, however we can't give an exact ETA. We will have more details soon regarding the issue.

You should be hating on Google in this instance. They pulled the app from the Play store when Themer already removed the IOS theme according to the article.
Come on Google. Get the app back up already!
