Are you having any failures or problems with wireless charging on the V10? - T-Mobile LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have tried THREE (3) V10s and numerous versions of the wireless charging back including the supposed OEM CPR-120 from LG, Yootech stick ons for the standard back and three different wireless charging backs from Yootech (not that it matters but had one in white, black, and gold). In every case within a week of installing the different backs the V10 has stopped charging wirelessly and in fact actually discharges when on the wireless charger including a Tylt, Samsung and a Qi-Infinity 3 coil charger.
It appears the chip controlling the charging fails. The V10 charging indicator on the lock screen either flickers rapidly between charging or discharging, shows discharging or nothing at all. The charging pads indicate they see the V10 and lights display normally. All the V10s worked normally at first with wireless charging but then ended up failing to function with wireless charging anywhere from 1 day after installing the backs to about a week.
I called LG and was sent to escalated support after complaining the third time and asking to speak to a manager.. Josh (that is all the info would gime me but did say he was the only Josh at that level) claimed that the US version of the V10 was NOT compatible with wireless charging. Asking about the CPR-120 back, his explanation was that it was for the Korean version. At that point I was so angry that I just let it go and terminated the call.
I then looked at all the carriers website for info on the V10 specs. Could not find anything on Tmobile and ATT about wireless charging but Verizon did have a line saying it WAS compatible but it was necessary to buy the wireless back even though I could not find one on their site. T-mobile has been good enough to supply me with the two replacements after the original but I do not think they will buy off on a third. I had to go to a corporate store and show them the problem to get the third one. The normal cable charging works as it should including rapid charging. I am beginning to believe there is a real problem with the wireless charging chip in the V10.
I did not want to believe there was a problem and bit the bullet for the high dollar OEM back thinking that may have been the problem (using the gerneric brands of charging receivers) but every combination eventually failed and I now believe that whatever controls the wireless charging on the phone (guessing chip) is now permanently ruined or burnt up. Logic dictates that with 6 different chargers, three phones and five different charging receivers used in different combinations that the is a systemic problem with wireless charging on the V10!
So beware-- there may be some good V10s that will not have the issue but do not be surprised if you start using wireless charging and your V10 eventually fails in that mode.

Phone manufactured Oct. 25, 2015. Using LG CPR-120 wireless charging cover and Tylt Vu charger.
Wireless charging chip in the phone died after a month. Had to get a replacement from T-Mobile.
And yes, it's a known problem with the defective IDT P9025A wireless charging chips that LG has previously used in the G4, which were dying in droves.
IDT themselves released a revision to the chip, the P9025AC, and instructed manufacturers to stop using the original P9025A.
So this is definitely the case of LG using a known faulty part - the problem is to prove it to them and force them to stop using it, you might need expensive lawyers for that.

My V10 was an insurance replacement for my HTC Droid DNA. The V10 needed the special back for QI charging which I got from Amazon for an arm and 2 legs, (OEM Version). It worked, for a few days anyway. The light on my Tylt would come on like it was charging. If I was lucky the phone would beep that it was charging, notify on the screen that it was charging and then quickly back to discharging.
I drug everything to the Verizon Store and walked them through it, convinced them to go get a wireless charger to see for themselves. Then more convincing to get a stock V10 to put my OEM cover on since, of course, they didn't have any wireless charging backs of their own. My cover on the new phone charged just like it should have. Success! Not exactly, they couldn't just swap out the phone, I had to go back through the insurance company, Oh joy! They were actually very nice and called for me, but I still had to speak with them to explain that I was at the store and that THEY had determined that the phone was defective.
So Asurion puts me on hold and comes back to tell me that they don't have any V10s but I could get some other random lesser phone, I pitched a fit and told them I had just bought all of the accessories for this one after they switched me from my DNA, and that I wasn't going to switch again. Another hold, and they found one, in white, instead of black, I grumbled about it but finally relented by giving them a snarky comment that white would be fine as I would only have it for a week before the Qi chip burned out again and they'd be sending me another one anyway.
Phone will be delivered in a few hours. Fingers crossed that I am irritated with a white phone for several years, but I doubt it.

I bought a back (3rd party) off Amazon, didn't even work. In the process of seeing if it's a faulty back or a faulty phone, and moving from there. As soon as the new phones are released next month, I'll be ditching the V10, that's for sure.

Anyone tried the universal USB wireless charger like this? http://www.ebay.com/itm/161689530982 The only downside is that you have to use a case and you'll lose quick charge and PC sync.

Is the chip located in the genuine LG case? I thought its inside the V10 smartphone so the wireless charging fails permanently no matter which case I install afterwards?!

Have not tried it since I keep reading in various sites that the chip burns out and 'apparently' common with LG phones.
(It's my first one and only in my first month of using it).
Main reason is wireless charging is slow and waiting for the wireless tech to improve.

Not an issue yet. I bought a sticker for it off eBay back in March, and not an issue yet. I use a 'torn down' Samsung fast charge in the car, one next to my PC, and a Verizon tilt charger next to the bed, no issues on any of them. My biggest issue is the stupid Your Phone Is Charged, Unplug It and Save the World bit when it's done, but I haven't had any issues. I think because of access to chargers, I'm rarely below 80% at the end of the day. But I also got my phone new at T-Mobile in late February, so maybe I got updated charging parts.

I got mine in February 2016 as well (from Verizon). So I'm wondering if the P9025A chip was updated in later production of the phone. Good to hear that your wireless charging didn't crap out after a week. Is the wireless charging in anyone else's unit working?
Thanks

My wireless charging crapped out entirely after 2-1/2 months, ended up with a POS refurbished phone, and then LG screwed the software up in August and I switched to an S7 Edge.

I installed a charging sticker version specifically for the LG 10 (ebay purchase), the charging pad recognizes it, but the software says "not charging".
Left alone, the battery charge goes to zero. While on the charger, phone is fine, remove from charger, the phone dies.
Anyone experience this phenomenon? How did you overcome this?

Wireless charging probkems

Hey guys just wanted to share some of my frustrations. First off I love this phone and HTC products but I have the worst luck. I've had the DNA since release day as well as the nokia wireless charger. My first phone stopped charging via the wireless charger 3 weeks in. I tried switching power outlets and a master reset and the phone would still not charge from the pad. Took it in to a Verizon store and tested it on a known good wireless charger and would not charge so they sent me a replacement. That phone worked fine till a few days ago when it stopped charging from the wireless charger. I contacted Verizon and they sent me a replacement wireless charger and I tried it out today and it still won't charge. They are sending me out a replacement phone which is nice. I called HTC about my problem and told them everything that had happened and the woman told me that they don't support wireless charging, that it was third party, and as long as it charged from the wall there was nothing that could be done. Are any of you guys having problems like me?

I too am having intermittent problems. I assumed it was the nokia fatboy

Sounds to me like the girl from HTC doesn't know what she's talking about how could they not support wireless charging when its built into the phone? That makes no sense.
Been using the DNA about 2 months using the LG wireless charger provided at Verizon stores with no problems at all so far and I only used the wall charger 3-4 times.
Could be an issue with the nokia charger causing the issue? I guess if that is the case we should see more complaining eventually.
I have had one replacement phone so far because wireless charging quit working. I too have been using the nokia 900. First phone quit charging wirelessly after 3 wks from release day. Had second phone since, still using same wireless charger and no more problems so far. Hope it stays that way!
I'm having a similar issue. I have the Nokia Fatboy pillow and used the charging with no problem for a few weeks. After that the phone recognizes the charger once I put it down but some random amount of time after that, it says it was disconnected and just stops charging until I pick it up and put it back on again. Very frustrating but noticed that it started right after I rooted my phone but not sure how that could be related.

This makes me feel better. I just bought the nokia dt-900 and my DNA was cycling between charging/disconnected. Went to VZW, tested my cell on another Qi charger and they are sending me a new DNA. Hope this does the trick.
I;m having no problems with charging with the orb. It's pretty awesome.
Got my replacement DNA, wireless charging now works perfectly.
kernel issue??
I know that zarboz' beastmode kernel just addressed many wireless charging issues, if you wanna check that out.

I'd like to share my experience with wireless charging. I've had the DNA since mid December and bought my Fatboy at the end of December. This worked rock solid for 3 months or so, always charging to 100%. Then a couple of weeks ago, I started having problems. I would put my phone on the Fatboy and it would start charging, and then quit after a few minutes. This went on for a week and a half or so. Well, the day came when I was going to return my phone and Fatboy to a Verizon store. So right before I was about to leave, I decided to throw the phone on the charger and what do you know. It charged perfectly to 100%. The only thing, that I can think of, that changed was that I did an update to GSAM Battery monitor right before that. So now, for the past week and a half, my phone is charging great again. No issues. So if anyone is having issues and they have GSAM installed, maybe you should update it or uninstall it. I'm not sure if this is the issue but it's worth a try.
On another note. I think one of the best features of this phone is the built in wireless charging. I don't see this mentioned often when people compare the DNA to the HTC One. I like to use my phone without a case, because it looks so good, and the built in wireless charging is a feature I really like. It will always be one of the first things I look for when buying a new phone.
I agree with you on the wireless charging being a great feature. I have the Nexus Orb on my desk, and I bring it home with me and put it on my night table. It's perfect. Charges fast, no wires, my USB cover won't snap off, I can just grab it and run off to a meeting...
I wish all phones had Qi charging abilities more than NFC.
Had to get mine replaced under warranty after 6 months of use. My old thunderbolt still charges on the original LG WCP-7000 pad, but the DNA didn't last.
I've only ever had one possible problem with my Nokia wireless charger. I say possible problem because I'm not sure if it was actually a charger issue or my own stupidity. A few days ago, an hour after i had taken my phone of the charger, i looked at my phone and noticed it was almost dead. For some reason the phone hadn't been charged over night. I could swear it was on the charger, but i can't day for sure. So it could have been my fault.

Here's my story:
I got the Nokia DT-900 few months back (Google's orb is not available in India) and had a tough time with my Nexus4, read so many forums on xda, androidcentral and elsewhere to find the right solution. Later realized that Nexus4 isn't fully Qi compatible. Still, from the forums I knew everyfrickinbody has some issue or the other, whether with the Nexus4 or any other Qi phone (like the Nokia Lumia 920, HTC droid, etc.).
Now my old guy, with a couple of other old ones have this high freq inductor/transformer making workshop and I told them I want us to make a wireless charger, and do it right! They said we ain't got the money - ha! I said I don't need no money, I just need ur tech and tools..ur brains and grains! With a grin, it was okay'd And 2 months in, we've got the Qi compatible electronics ready and tested!! Now we just gotta design a good form. We even have a name - Qitah (say cheetah)...hehe, yeah.
Here's are the pain points we've addressed uptil now:
a) Phone Alignment - it's a 3coil configuration that allows free positioning. After all, what's the point of a wireless charger if you still gotta put in effort for the phone to charge
b) Remembering to charge - we realized while brainstorming that the major pain point is not of plugging in a wire with your wall charger..in fact it's remembering to charge your phone daily. Even if I forget to charge once a week, it's kinda disastrous. We are really working hard and smart to tackle this
c) Looks - Apart from the orb, all the other solutions (mostly pads) are uhhgly!! And the orb is so painful with 'sticky' issues. Hey, if the Qitah is to sit on your office/home desk, it better look so frockin awesome yet unintrusive that you feel great about it!
d) Travel/Incline - it's pretty sad that we either have pads or inclines in the market. We are hell bent on coming up with a travel friendly design to get rid of this simple pain point.
Here's where I need all your help..tell us your pain points! tweet "@projecQitah", post on facebook - "projectQitah" and let us know what you want it to be like. I'll be following up on all suggestions/criticisms.
Cheers!
Ok so I am noticing a pattern here and that is Nokia chargers. I have been using an energizer charger for months without problems, although I have had my DNA switched out twice for other issues. I just bought 2 nokia wireless pads since AT&T was selling them crazy cheap, and yesterday was the first full day of use. At the end of the day I went to put my phone on my energizer wireless charger and the blue light (on the charger) turned on, then turned back off. I grabbed my nokia charger and the same thing happened.I have left it off wireless charger all night (plugged in usb) and it seems to be working now. If I have problems again tonight I may be blaming the Nokia charger. Has anyone else had wireless charging fail with a charger made by other than Nokia?
I've had the phone for most three months and have had no troubles with the energizer qi charger I've had for over a year. Use it every night to charge the DNA and Nexus 7.

I've used mine with the 2 Nokia chargers for about 10 months and it has never failed to charge even once. Hoping it stays that way.
I have the same wireless charging issues with my Nokia wireless chargers. I have 2 of them, one works better than the other but on both eventually it stops charging as if I removed it from the plate. I'm 90% sure its a heat issue with the back cover and the back cover warps a little bit. If I put something on the phone (usually another phone) while its on the charging plate to weight it down a little and then it always charges perfectly.
Not an elegant solution by any means but it works. I just ordered a new Rav powered QI charger so I'll let you all know if I see better results (without the paperweight.

Wireless Charger Issue

I recently purchased a Nokia DT-900 Wireless Charging Plate for my Lumia 920, but unfortunately something seems to be going wrong. I tried it the other night, put my phone on the charging plate, the light came on solid and the phone showed it was charging. Woke up the next morning and it hadn't charged at all, the battery went from 80%+ to about 62%. I tried various different "solutions" yesterday with no luck.
Restarted my Lumia 920 several times.
Unplugged the charger and tried a different outlet.
Shifted my phone around trying various positions.
Double checked that it still charges on a regular wired charger (works).
Doesn't seem to matter what I try, it just wont work, even though both the phone and the charger say it's charging. Unfortunately, I don't currently have access to another wireless charger or another wireless charging capable device. I'm hoping to get into AT&T this weekend and see if they have wireless chargers to test with. Does anyone have any other ideas or tips to resolve the issue, or know which one in this scenario most likely has the problem? I really hope it's not the phone. :/
It's really not picky as to where you place the phone on the charger plate. It does sound like a hardware issue. Could be the plate or the phone either one. Good luck on getting it resolved.
I've had that happen. I usually do the soft-reset with Vol-Down & Power, then connect to wired charging. It's some strange state that it seems to get into occasionally.

So after you do the soft-reset, and you plug into a wired charger, do you switch to the wireless charger, or wait till later in the day or anything?

I too had this problem after getting a replacement for my speaker not working, and didn't get the wireless charging issue until my fourteen day
exchange policy was up. So I actually separated my phone to have a look. At the top if the wireless charging coil there are gold contacts that can become loose if the phone is rocked heavily, either dropped or in my case, while still in my pocket at work. I actually very carefully and slightly bent those contacts up towards the phone, then replaced it in the housing. Once I did, I tested to see if the wireless charging worked before putting the screws back in. If all else fails, I'd give that a try bud.

I usually just let it charge for a while on the wired charger, then use wireless sometime later. Once it gets out of the reset loop, I think any charger will work.
My replacement from Amazon arrived today, and unfortunately still no luck with getting my phone to charge. So I'll test out fixing the coil over the weekend.

So I opened my Lumia 920 up today, and unfortunately it looks like two of the 4 little gold contacts are missing. I've got all 4 primary pieces, but only 2 of the actual contacts. I've got a feeling that that's what caused the issue. Think I'll try to send it in for a replacement.

Duracell Powermat review for the PadFone X

This is the best mat you can find right now.
The Powermat by Duracell works well and charges just as fast as the USB charger or the tablet dock . I picked one up on amazon brand new for about $18 ( plenty still around
I picked up the 4s and portable charger bundle for a steal. This is using the standard backplate that came with the phone. Many cell phone reps will tell you the phone doesn't come standard with wireless charging and try to sell you the folio as a "wireless charging bundle" for $70,don't be fooled!.
Alignment is good, natively the Duracell branded cases and portable charger have a magnetic pull to the phone to keep it in place. When placing the PadFone on the plate there is no magnetic pull. Make sure you lay evenly. The wireless charger will make a beep to let you know it has a handshake with the device.
Works flawless so far, no complaints.
Update #1 Turns out the Padfone X is only PMA compliant, This wireless charger is apparently one of the only ones available. There are different styles of powermat available. But no Qi compliance.
Update #2 This kit also came with the iPhone 4/4s adapter and a PowerBar, the power back can be attached to either a Padfone Tablet station or the Asus Bluetooth Padfone keyboard to provide "passthrough" charge.

Thanks for posting this review! I just ordered the exact same thing from Amazon yesterday and I wasn't sure if it was going to work. I was completely skeptical since just the Powermat is normally $50 through at&t.

Thanks for the heads up. Just picked up my new padfone X tonight after my beloved skyrocket fell and broke the screen. The rep thought the same thing about the wireless charging that I needed a wireless case. I asked to test out the 50 dollar duracell charging pad and sure enough "beep" and I was charging with just the phone out of the box. Nice find. This is a win win cause I also have an iphone 4s for my afterhours phone support for my job. Utter win here.
Thanks again.
:victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::victory::good:
Powermat charges fast but alignment is finicky
I also bought the iphone 4 powermat bundle from Amazon. I do like the audible and visual confirmation you get when it starts charging the device. Also it beeps when the device is fully charged. But overall you need to place the phone just right on the pad otherwise it beeps on and off and you end up taking extra time just to make sure it's charging. I owned a Nexus 5 before my Padfone and QI charging is a lot better you just drop the phone on the pad and it charges no problem never had to adjust the phone for it to charge.
But I waited forever for the Padfone to hit the US, so I can live with the charging issue.
After a while you figure out the sweet spot for charging hence the phone doesn't magnetically lock to the powermat, but when you connect, you'll have a full charge in no time
I also purchased the Duracell Powermat and it charges the phone fine, however one problem I have is that it seems to Overcharge the phone. I know this because of two things
1. "Battery Doctor" App reports that the phone had been overcharged
2. Phone is very warm/borderline hot to touch when I pull it off the charger in the morning
Has anyone else experienced this problem? I am concerned because overheating shortens the battery life of these phones so I want to prevent that. this does not happen when I charge via USB.
Battery doctor app is not a good representation for phones that support qi or pma charging. The phone will get warm, but not alarmingly warm. The science of contactless charging.
These are still available for under $20 with free shipping, looks like. A great buy for sure.
I received mine before I ever even got my PadFone X. With the issues arising theoretically being theoretically linked to charging the phone and station together for long periods, this frees up the included charger to charge the station by itself.
Can't thank the OP enough for passing on this find!
Just my two cents, but....

I have an old Samsung Qi wireless charging pad, and my Padfone S works with it. I will admit, the powermat charger is much faster - but Padfone S does support Qi chargering pads. Not sure about Padfone X.

I'm not noticing this issue with my Padfone S. In fact, my old Samsung phone (Qi standard) did get warm, but Padfone S doesn't.
For that matter, my Padfone S doesn't heat up when I have it tethering a wifi data connection to my laptop or other portable devices. I've only felt my Padfone S heat up on 2 occasions - both of which I was in a dead zone and the phone was powering up the antenna to try to get a signal.

S6E Wireless Charging Issues

Brief history - I've had wireless charging with both my last Samsung devices via factory wireless charging covers. I also have it on my two Nexus 7 (2013). I've bought various wireless chargers over the years, as evidenced by just the few I have attached here, there are more throughout the house and at my office. I have also done extensive testing with them in the car as well, but those are all in a box because the technology is just not there yet, in my opinion.
The S6 Edge is an anomaly. Every other device I have works great with most of the chargers I will describe for long term (overnight for example) charging, some better than others, but the S6E has some serious charging issues that cannot be overlooked. I'll go into detail for each charger that I have experienced first hand:
OEM 2015 Samsung Wireless Charging Pad - I just got this in the mail two days ago, and I already hate it. I really have no complaints over the LED lights, I think they look nice, but some people absolutely hate them. They are bright in a dark room, no question. My issue with it is that the charger juices up the S6 and then stops. Yes, you read that right, stops completely. So if you charge it overnight, it will not be fully charged when you wake up unless you sleep for 3-4 hours at a time. I woke up the last two nights with it charged to 64% and 72%. This is unacceptable. Samsung clearly states on their website - "If using a Galaxy S 6 or Galaxy S 6 Edge, it will also alert you when your device is fully charged" which is total crap. The LEDs turn from blue to green, but what they mean to say is that it alerts you by then draining your battery after being fully charged. Use this ONLY if you aren't going to need it for overnight charging!
Tylt Vu Wireless Charger - Where do I begin? I own two of these, one for the house and the other in my office. I have loved the look and quality of these for a long time now, and I've gotten to be so furious with using them that I have pulled them both out of the wall outlets. You can read all the details of my issues I've encountered with them here, but the short of it is that I've had them replace both chargers and when that didn't work, I even returned my phone thinking it couldn't have been an issue with them, it must have been the phone! They even know how difficult it is to use the S6 with the Vu that they have created a device guide specifically to show how awkward it is to get it charging, and even still, my device constantly beeps and beeps when fully charged. Don't believe me? Got over 9 mins to waste watching me prove it? Once again, this is not a charger you can rely on for use overnight because of this, others say they work just fine with theirs, but there's more to it than some saying yea and some saying nay.
Itian Qi Three Coils Wireless Charging Pad A6 for Samsung Galaxy S6 S6 edge - designed specifically to work with the S6 and Edge? Sign me up! Just received it today, when fully charged, does the same things the Tylt Vu does above. And this time, I'm not going to send my phone back to prove it isn't the issue, I'll just send back another charger that doesn't work for the anomaly.
Nexus Wireless Charger - Small, high quality, magnetized to align coils..... didn't work with my S5 and is flaky to work with the Nexus 7 when inside a slim case, doesn't work at all with the S6 either. I liked this so much when I had my S4 and N7 outside a case, but now, it's just a $50 decoration for my current line of devices! Stay clear of this.
Nokia DT-910 Wireless Charging Stand (not pictured) - Aside from this not working for just about anything, I got it for free from AT&T when they were blowing them out at $10 shipped, and then they refunded my purchase and sent it anyways. I use it for my N7 displaying my front door's security camera feed on the Foscam or IP Cam apps, and it won't charge up the N7 with the screen on all day, so I have to turn it off at night. I should plug it in, but it probably saves me a few dollars a year by keeping it off at night, so whatever. Stay clear of this if you can even find one for sale right now.
Various wireless car docks - from CHOEtech to a DIY job I made, none of these ever seemed to be able to charge up my phones when using GPS, streaming Google Play Music, Bluetooth on, and screen on for hours on end. I made a post in this thread about it, and have a full review of it on Amazon here for the more in-depth review of wireless car chargers, and this should apply to most of them out now. Anyone who disagrees isn't keeping their screen on or using it as heavily as I do in the car, bottom line.
Qi Wireless Charging Pad Mat Charger (1A Current US Plug) - If the link doesn't work, search using that title. So after spending hundreds of dollars on wireless chargers, surely you can't think that this cheap-o Qi charger that costs only $10 shipped will work on these expensive, high tech phones and tablets, right? WRONG. This is literally the only charger that works for me. No kidding. My S6 is in front of me at the computer at home and it works great. Fully charged and not beeping to alert me. Not losing battery because it's fully charged and stops charging. Will charge up the phone relatively well when low on battery, as long as you aren't killing it with keeping the screen on. Is this a catch-all solution? Probably not, but it works and nothing else does. How is that possible, with all the tech spent on developing the Nexus charger, the Tylt Vu, hell, the OEM Samsung one?
Am I the only one having such bad luck with these? Is this a Samsung issue that requires an update to fix? Is my house cursed? Look, I'm sure this doesn't sound right to many of you, and there will be some disagreements, but these are my actual first hand experiences. I'm not doing this for the fun of it or to piss members or even companies making these chargers off, I'm doing this because this is what I've had to deal with and after too many mornings waking up earlier than my alarm was set for because my phone is beeping and waking me up or having to leave for the day without a full charge on my phone, it is very frustrating!
I'm certainly open to the idea that Samsung has screwed up something hardware or software related with this iteration of Galaxy S phones, and it isn't something that I can or should blame these chargers on. I get that. I'm also giving up my experiences here so anyone thinking about one of these can see there MAY be an issue with them since at least one person (myself) has had an issue. If you have one of these and it works for you, great! It doesn't work for me, and I'm out hundreds of dollars and searching for another way to get this working on this device. Hopefully this is an easy fix for Samsung or can be fixed via root (I know my S5 had lots of Wanam Xposed-related features for disabling sounds and backlights when placed on a charger, and maybe you're not having the issues because it's already fixed for those who don't have root available yet.
EDIT - I've moved on from this phone and removed my subscription to this post, you're all on your own with this thing now.... I couldn't stand all the issues I was having with wireless charging amongst AT&T locking this thing down and preventing me from getting 5.1.1, so I had to kick this to the curb, good luck everyone!
Thanks for your review. Very, very useful.
As from my point of view - I'm happy with this one
will look into.. but the last week I had always 100%
I have the Verizon Wireless branded wireless charger stand http://www.verizonwireless.com/accessories/verizon-qi-wireless-charging-stand/
And it's not caused me any problems. Keeps a charge going even after hitting 100% though I'm not sure about any beeps since my phone is on vibrate nearly all day. I'll have to try it without being on vibrate to see if it beeps more consistently once charged.

I have 2 different style chargers that are NOT in your list. Both of these work great for me. I did have an issue charging with the Speck Candyshell Grip case but I have since replaced my case with a OBLIQ case off Amazon and it works flawlessly with these two chargers.
First is the RAVPower RP-WCN15 Qi Wireless Charging Pad Stand

Second is the CHOE Stadium Qi Wireless Charger

The best advice I can give when it comes to wireless charging....
1. Get a 3 coil charger
2. Make sure your case will work with them

I'll have to look into the first one, as I loved my Tylt Vu's because they were stands - the one working charger for me is flat and while I can rig something to prop it up, it's still not as nice as a charger made that way from the factory. That being said, for something that expensive (not compared to the Tylt, I know, but compared to the Itian A6 I found on Amazon as well), I wish it didn't look like something slapped together. It doesn't have that $40 value to me, and I'm concerned already that things work okay for some and not for others, so I'm going to hold off on taking a chance on it for now. May revisit, but as it is, I'm probably going to stick with a cable dock until some type of update comes through from Samsung / ATT.
As for the second charger, that's nice looking, but for nearly 3 times the price of the cheap-o one I found, meaning you can get nearly three of the cheap ones for that price, I'd pass on the CHOEtech. Maybe that's just me being negative about my feelings towards them when they tried to get their wireless car dock working for me, but that's where I'm at I guess. Great customer service and after refunding me, they sent me a FREE car dock to test out, but it was still having the same issues.
Lastly, great advice at the bottom of your post, I didn't mention that, but you're right, regardless of what chargers you go with.
I have the Itian charger at work, no issues at all there.
Also using a one of the older Samsung charger at night (think it was one I got with the note 3), again all good and fully charged in the morning. I've got a Spigen clear case on the phone too

Ok, you will have to excuse me if I overstep my bounds here, but I am going to sum up what you said.
Both chargers are verified working, but they "don't have a value to you" because they are too expensive?
You have already dropped a lot of cash on other brands, so what makes these two chargers better than the rest? I have no idea. Maybe I was lucky. Either way, before I bought wireless chargers, I went into the accessories area of the S6 and S6 edge and read what people had and what worked and what didn't. The Tylt Vu was an epic failure. There were some people who bought those cheap $10 Duracell mats and were upset. The RAVPower and CHOE chargers were verified working and working well. I now exclusively wirelessly charge my phone without worry or issue.
It just seemed like you were dismissing my findings as being "too expensive". IMHO, you have to pay for quality. Which is why docks like the Tylt Vu should have worked right out of the box for the S6 and S6 edge, but in both accessories forum areas, neither one is working.
I really don't think its the S6 Edge alone. I think it may be the S6 device line as a whole.
I think the case makes a HUGE difference too.
Frankly, if you're waking up to a device that drains 30-40% overnight while you're sleeping (really more like in 5 or 6 hours after being charged), you've got bigger issues than whatever your wireless charging problems are.
My device is fully charged when I wakeup and pick it up off of my Samsung Wireless Charging Pad, and it certainly isn't losing 5-8% of its charge per hour of doing nothing.

I guess I've just been burned too many times with paying so much for stuff that just isn't working for me but is for others.... Probably doesn't make any sense like I suggested it wouldn't, but I just bought a gorgeous looking wired charger that barring something stupid from the reputable manufacturer, I know will work without question. There were enough people saying the Tylt worked just fine for them but 4 of them didn't for me, that I've got a bad enough taste in my mouth from wireless chargers that I'm not interested in spending any more money at this time. I am an Amazon Prime member, I could easily get it in 2 days test it out, and report back, but I've just lost hope for any of them right now unfortunately!
I'm glad they worked for you though, and that you posted on this thread because others will certainly benefit from your experience just as they will benefit from being cautious or avoiding entirely some of the ones I've mentioned in the OP.
I'm not disagreeing with you on casing making a difference in wireless charging, I just know I was experiencing the same issues before I even considered buying a case and I'm not about to take it off every time I want to charge it. The whole point of wireless charging is to be as lazy as possible when placing your phone down to charge, and having to take off the case means that charger fails for me if you use a case like I am for the very first time ever for any Samsung phone.
I see where you are coming from. I hope you didn't take offense to my reply. It just was a little shocking that I got a "oh, those chargers work? Sorry, not a value to me" when you have been dropping the same if not more money on other chargers.
I am still new to wireless charging, so I don't know if these chargers will work with other devices. I also don't know if these issues are isolated to the S6 line, S6 Edge, or not isolated at all. Either way, all I hope is that people who have these phones do find chargers that work with their devices.
My wireless charger does not stop charging after the device is fully charged.

Really liking the look of that RIGGAD lamp.
I have a tylt charger as well. And it usually works flawlessly, charged to 100% in the morning. Though ive been having issues connecting a second time ( when you pick it up to do something with the phone, and put it back you get a red Light instead of the green one) now what worked for me, although it's not the most practical solution, was putting the phone upside down in the charger.

I also have the RAV charger stand and have had no problems... my s6e stays in its ringke case on the stand and charges without fuss. I'm not sure what happens when it hits 100%... I use the app Gentle Alarm, which keeps everything I want quiet and black while allowing the phone to ring and alarm to sound. I am sure my phone is at 100% in the morning.
I've been using the airdock 2.0 in my vehicle... and get do get positive charging gain even with BT connected for media and phone and running Waze for navigation and traffic (again, with case on)

I had the Speck Candyshell case and that had some issues with wireless charging. I think it was because it was the rubber on the case or the thickness of the case. Either way, the OBLIQ case works much better for me.
When it comes to wireless charging and issues with it, I know I would be interested to find out what kind of cases everyone has, if any. I am pretty new to wireless charging, and before I blame the phone, I would like to find out what others have when it comes to cases.
On a side note, I have a friend who has an Incipio Ghost 120 and that is just a single coil charger, and yet my phone has no issues charging on that either. Either I have gotten lucky with chargers, or some people have cases that are interfering with the wireless charging, or some people have bad phones.
So I bought the Samsung wireless charging pad with my S6 edge last week and was noticing the same issue of waking up with my battery at 70%-75%. I hadn't considered that it was charging fully and then just draining back down. I assumed that it was just not charging all the way, but this assumption was only based on only 3 nights of use.
I returned my first edge (black), and got a new one (gold platinum). After about a week of use with my current phone, I haven't noticed the same issue. I'm waking up with a full charge every morning.
As others have reported defects in new devices, is it possible that some of these wireless charging issues could be defects as well?

At this point, I would say this is the most likely explanation.
Thanks for the heads up on the official charger, sounds like a ball ache.
I'm using an IKEA wireless charging lamp and I can confirm it works a treat, even when the phone is in a case.

Defective charger wire(s)?

My charger wire doesn't register the first time and you have to unplug and re-plug it back in for it to say fast charging, so enough of that and I tried two other cables. One is a Sony charger cable, and the other is a very old htc wire from who knows, i believe the mytouch 4g slide? LOL which is 2011 I think, they both registered fast charging the first time. And the wire doesn't get hot at all at the microusb end to plug into the phone like the included samsung one, just the adaptive charging block. Anyone else experience this?
Yep I did as well just replace the wire, I don't think the provided wire can handle the current that is needed to charge the bigger batteries in note 5/s6 edge plus unlike the s6 and s6 edge, I got one from amazon and now fast charging is registered everything I plug up
Now my original cables and others i used to use all shows up with slow charging now. Like 5 hours from low battery

My husbands phone was doing that, then it started to bug out like we were taking the plug in and out over and over again when it wasn't even plugged in. Now it doesn't charge with any wire. It also keeps opening VR gear and popping up a "not charging" notification. Here's the kicker, this is his second edge + with the same issues. We got it at Best Buy. Verizon is now sending us a refurbished phone.
We spend 600 bucks on the new phone and 8 weeks later have to get a refurb. I think they effed up with the USB connection or fast charging stuff. ?

Samsung's own wire just sucks, their block is good, but you just gotta use a third party wire, at least in my case, the original samsung one gets way too hot, while third party ones are not even warm to the touch at the connector end plugged into the phone
It keeps making the vr gear app go bonkers. Now my phone is doing it. This pops up every 2 seconds or a black screen with a tiny X on the bottom. Have to keep a cord plugged in just to type this reply or the phone goes bizerk. 3 of them now that we've gone thru and using the new chargers from each. Now we both will have refurbs. I loved samsung for years but this is crazy.
I had the exact issue. charging would take 6 hours + oculous would not work, just go black when connected.
I went to the samsung repair center in Los Angeles and they said the issue required a motherboard replacement to be resolved. They told me to RMA it or go to Verizon to get a replacement under warranty. I went to verizon for my replacement.
