Android 5.1 - MTCB Software Development

Hello,
has anyone the android 5.1 rom like this Erisin has it?
http://www.erisinwholesale.com/spec...015v-8-android-51-car-dvd-gps-player-466.html
And will it be compatible with my KLD: http://www.autopumpkin.com/pumpkin-...link-obd2-wifi-3g-steering-wheel-control.html
I saw already that with the last kgl rom on the Huifei file mirror my buttons not work.
Thank you

This looks like the standard Hueifei setup. It seems that they are using exactly the same Bluetooth phone app and the same radio app. And the optics look almost exactly the same. I was looking forward to Android 5, now less so.

You can find soms video's of Android 5.1 running on a VW device. Just google joying Android 5.1 and you find 2 video's on YouTube. And yes the launcher looks the same as the one used in android 4.4. All the rest is lollipop, settings etc.
So if you dont like the looks just change your launcher

It would be awesome if it has usb Mic support enabled for people like me that don't want to do the mod to fix the ****ty mic.

Latest Play Music update drops Nexus Q Support

It looks like Google finally dropped Nexus Q support. With the music streaming issues lately, some hoped they would fix it. Well, they did. You won't be having streaming issues anymore, because you can't do it at all. Sad day for us Nexus Q owners...
The question on my mind is: what to do now with this piece of hardware? My previous concerns about putting CM on it are now moot. I'm thinking of making it an independent media server. XBMC + CM 10?
What are all of you going to do next?
Does CM 10 include support for the speaker outputs?
Last I tried it was HDMI only

so I downloaded the AP K from a Chinese website so I could decompile it without having to root my own phone, and the icons are all still there. Maybe a glitch is preventing it from showing?
I posted on another thread wondering if the bluetooth can just be made discoverable so you can connect to it like a car stereo for streaming.

Sad indeed. It the most beautiful piece of useless technology I own now.
Fine, I understand they're killing the Q. I hate the fact that they're doing it, but as they said - no one really paid for it, atleast not paid Google.
But help me understand this, is there anything that can now replace spotify and apple-TV from Google? I'm loving the all access music service from Google but i still don't have the possibility to send songs to a media center, right?
Or can Google TV solve this?
Vol
Well, Maybe There is a chance... CM10 and the google play músic 5 apk... The thing is how to use it without a mouse or a bt Key board

This may be a stupid question, but can the previous Music app be "resigned" so it isn't updated or seen by the Play Store? Could the new Music app then be installed side by side with the altered Music app so we still get Q streaming abilities (with the old app) and then use the new Music app for All Access?
Modaco did something like this with TweakDeck. You could use both TweakDeck and TweetDeck side by side on the same device.

While it may not be the official method, I have Google Play Music sideloaded onto my CM10.1 Nexus Q and it works just fine, even since the update they announced at Google IO (with the orange UI).
If you have cm10.1 you can now download google music in the store this still need a proper app to control it from your phone like apple tv. Also does anyone know what kind of development is going on with it in cms side?

I'm up for doing this, but how do you control it? bluetooth mouse? or does it still connect up to the music app on your phone/tablet?
I'm pretty unhappy about this too. I bought my Q on EBay prior to the announcement that they weren't actually releasing it. I've pretty much built my whole music system around it so not being able to control it will make me go back to using an iPod - something I REALLY don't want to do!! I uninstall the update on my Razr HD and the old version still seems to work but I've not had any luck doing the same thing yet on my Xoom that's running EOS 4 (4.2.2). I may see if I can pull the apk from my Razr HD and install it on the Xoom.

You can control it with a bluetooth mouse, keyboard, remote etc. It doesn't allow you to use your phone/tablet as the playlist manager like the stock Nexus Q functionality, instead you get a fancy widescreen tablet style Google music interface on your TV and you navigate your music and play direct from there.
Am I right that there is no way to get analog output to work with CM to use it headless with some remote app and without TV plugged?
I'm looking for a meaningful solution aswell. We bought one of ebay and loved using it since our small circle of friends are all using google music so it made a lot of sense to us. If it were possible to keep to seperate gmusic apks on the phone that would already be enough I guess.
A good solution would be worth 100€ to us.

Here it is (the previous Q equipped Google Music APK), along with the Nexus Q APK (in case it drops from the store and anyone still needs it), and the Q equipped YouTube, because I'm sure its next update will remove support...
Please just give me a thanks if you take any of these!

What sound equalizer app do you use ?

As is commonly known, at lower volumes the sound on the G pad is pretty dark and murky.
This can be improved easily by using an equalizer app and turning down the bass/lower frequencies, and turning up the higher frequencies.
I've tried a few different apps, some work, some don't.
Currently I'm using the "Music equalizer" app, which is allright but turns itself off after 30 minutes, so I'm looking for something better.
What apps have you found that work well with MX player?
(I know sound improves in other ROM's but I want to stay rooted stock, so custom ROM's are not an option right now)
Same here.
Today I installed DSP manager (from cyanogenmod).
Nice and exactly what I want, except that it doesn't work at all.

I use PowerAmp music player. It has a great DSP but I don't know if it works system-wide and I haven't really tried to find out because I haven't really though about it.
Upgrade to CM11, it will change your tab, especially concerning the sound..
Poweramp seems to be a music player rater than a generic equalizer.
About CM, have I mentioned in my start post that I want to stay stock, or did I forget to say that?

Greetings..
I know you want to stay stock but...
I was just reading this thread and I have CM-11 installed and I thought.. why not turn on Netflix and the DSP (which I was not using) and see if the DSP Mgr. does make a difference..
It Does.. A Big Difference if you adjust the EQ manually.. So at least you know you have an option should your situation become unbearable.
I know there is that option so I have considered that. Not having Qremote is not an option at this moment, so I'm not going there.
As for equalizers, I've found another one that works, but it also turns off after 30 minutes.
I have the impression that this is not so much a funcionalty, but a limitation within android.
Does anyone know if all equalizer apps will turn off after 30 minutes?
Does any app exist that I can use that doesn't turn itself off?

If you are rooted you could try AlsaMixer. It's kinda a carry over from Linux. Bear in mind that it had a major overhaul some time ago. It has so many settings for each connectin you won't believe it. Unfortunately I have no idea how to use it after the overhaul as everything is classified pretty cryptic, but I believe I saw something about 5 different EQ bands. AlsaMixer is system wide btw. The EQ is just one of many variables you can set. However finding a tutorial is imminent, if you ask me. Good luck.

I'm not certain of what I'm saying right now. But since MX Player is capable of using both software and hardware for both sound and video I suspect it may use it's own settings.. I don't know. I'm basing it on ZPlayer in the Market which I used for a long time, that one had it's own EQ and such and the dev said that the users shouldn't be using any 3rd party EQ's because it wouldn't have any effect.. May be some of the same stuff going on with MX Player since it offers all these different decoders.. Sorry, I'm not going back to stock to test this. Anything CM/AOSP related, I'll gladly check out for you. :/
I'm just wondering; DSP manager does not seem to have any effect on the sound of any apps here.
As for MX player (which is the only app I really care about for an equalizer to work with),
some equalizer apps work with it and some don't.
The few that I found that work all quit after 30 minutes, probably that's a limitation in android?
I'm starting to think harder about Mahdi rom, it sure looks nice but I just can't part yet from Qremote.

Rooted users can use viper. It is the best system wide system modulator out there. It can be found almost anywhere on these forums. If you need a link, pm me and i'll send you one.

I never understood the "pm me and I'll send you the link" attitude.
Anyway .. I agree with Charlie: it is a very good sound enhancer utility.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion.
Viper4androidFX works,
it works with MX player and it keeps working after 30 minutes.
I believed for a moment that this was the solution for optimizing the sound on the G pad,
however viper seems to have an unwanted effect on videoprocessing;
while streaming HD content over MX player there is a slight stutter in the video that immediately disappears when I turn viper off.
That makes useless for me really.
I am thinking about saying goodbye to the Qremote app and flashing Mahdi.

[Q] Is Infrared device workingon CM11 ?

Hi
does anyone knows if the Z2 Tablet IR emitter is working or how to make it work?
Currently I wasn't able to find any IR App which is working on CM11.
Also I couldn't see any IR device in /dev...
I always thought IR is (quite) easy on linux and CM seems to support IR at all, so whats wrong?

It works Today I used the "Remote Control" app which comes stock. It was able to control my Hitachi HDTV and even my WD TV Live streaming media player. It has to be pointed at the devices of course, but it works. (My model # is SGP561)
I don't know if any other apps can use it though. Haven't really playeed around with it much.

Oh, I see. I think I missed that. So are you missing the APK file, or are you missing the folder?
If it's the APK file: is there any way to extract a stock rom as an APK file? If so, I wouldn't mind extracting a copy for you so you can see if it works, but I only know how to extract APK files from the Play Store.
Otherwise, what if you tried just copying the missing folder over from a stock ROM?
Or maybe it's something that was lost with the DRM keys?
Oh, it's not the problem of an missing apk. I've backups of them, of course, but they would not work on custom roms. Since I like the freedom of CM more than the functionally of the stock Z2 Rom I use CM on all of my devices. But I'm always in hope that someone has a hint or even a solution on this issue of the Z2 tablet Android and CM has an IR API so it's a missing driver and Sony just released the kernel sources of the Zz2 so there is hope that someone has an idea...
Yeah, the only reason I'm not going for a custom rom is because the loss of DRM keys result in the loss of core functionality. I really hope that someone manages to figure out how to take all of those official apps and put them into a custom firmware where the DRM keys don't matter anymore.
Any updates on this? I have the exact same issue, a Z2 tablet with CM11 and I can't find any apps to work with the IR
Well, the z2 is quite old right now. I don't even think about it, sorry. Take an recent Sony ROM, root it and bebhappy with what you have... Beleive me, after some years being very disappointed with a WinCE phone from Sony I bought the Z2. It is quite good but next time I'll buy a Nexus.

Recent ROM with audio_submix (able to cast audio)

Hi,
I've been using my YP-G70 with Meticulus's Carbon ROM (awesome!) and thought I would be able to use a couple of Chromecast Audios to set up a sound system in my house, however I can't seem to find a ROM that enables audio casting (according to the MirrorEnable App, none of these include a fila named audio_submix). Is there any ROM out there that you may know of, capable of doing this?
Thanks!

Could audio feature deserve more support?

ZTE advertised A7 with High Quality sound capability on the first place targeting audiophile buyers. The question is that users are satisfied with support what ZTE provide in this subject? Is it OK that Music Player cannot handle metadata in appropriate way, cannot list songs in right order, doesn't show any technical info about material, is laggy and slow after being 8 months on the market? Can't you expect more from an audiophile(?) phone?
Have ZTE done anything to share DAC info with developers in order to make HQ Audio feature available in other Players at least.
To tell true I am very disappointed. And you?

I'm using Play Music app and the DAC is activated as far as i can tell. You don't have to use their Music player.
One issue that bugs me is the inability to change the EQ settings in Dolby atmos, they always revert back to normal and the sliders don't stay where you want them to. Talked to ZTE they said its a software issue and maybe the new update will fix it.

Through OpenSL ES. Unfortunately it converts everything to 48/16 first. Yes, then sound goes to DACs. I don't find direct DAC option in settings or a word about it in guide. If it exists please let me know.
Update: may be check wrong player.
I have found two players with name "Play Music Player". May be there more. What do I choose?
USB Audio Player Pro. Play through Android mode, variable bitrate (gets around the android fixed sampling). Worth the money and uses the built in DAC.

Luckily it has free trial version.
http://www.extreamsd.com/index.php/uapp-trial
It also recognized DSD/DSF file. Of course Player can play DSF in PCM mode but it can payed it in DoP and native mode as well. Hurray, it is believable because AKM chips support DSD.
At this point I though to install Player onto Samsung Note 3 with Snapdragon 800. As I know SD800 doesn't support DSD. The result is same. It sounds in all three modes. After this I don't know what to think. I would think that Player overrides my choice and chooses the first capable mode. I would but why doesn't the fourth auto mode exist? Hmmm.
Update: Looks that DSD setting is only for USB DAC. Too bad. Anyway, the program is not bad at all. Thanks.
I did test and compare stock and USB player. Although UAPP writes that Android gets high sample rate stream, the stock player sounds clearly better. It is no doubt.
Have you tried using PowerAmp? It has built in DAC control and this overrides the Dolby Settings (Dolby app becomes unusable when this is selected in PowerAmp). Sound is great and it has a great way to control the EQ. I've using PowerAmp since my first Android phones and now with this is just awesome!

As I see there is no other option. The only problem is that PA is not free and alpha version doesn't have free trial. Correct me if I am wrong. OK finally I could manage it. I cannot say anything about quality yet but I would have question. It seems to me that fix sample rate must be preset otherwise app does up or downsample. Isn't there option to send stream to DAC as it is? It is more annoying for me because I listen 88.2/24 materials recently.

I am using PA (bought it) also and afaik the auto samplerate feature is not built in. This might come in a future release but despite the releasedate of the last beta, I have doubts that this will come anytime soon.
I still bought PA in the hope that the dev is still actively developing, maybe a little naive.
