Disclaimer:
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOU, YOUR COMPUTER OR YOUR PHONE BY YOU FLASHING THIS ROM. EVEN IF IT'S NOT YOUR'S, I'M STILL NOT RESPONSIBLE. I'M ALSO NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR FIXING ISSUES YOU MAY BE HAVING BECAUSE OF MODS, HACKS AND TWEAKS YOU'VE APPLIED YOURSELF.
So I decided to create my own rendition of what LG should have made Verizon release. So, here's the first and currently only 47A custom ROM...
Things I've moved from the stock 47A base:
All OTA Stuff
95% of all Verizon stuff
All Google Stuff, except Chrome
All Amazon Stuff
LG Contacts
LG Dialer
LG EasyHome
LG Email
LG Favorites Widget
LG Voice Mate
LG SMS
Some ringtones
and some random bloat
I added the following:
The hotspot hack...
Googles Dialer (v2.3, not 1.01) has builtin VVM
Google Contacts
Outlook
Signal SMS
Motorola Alert
Some ringtones
Features:
Systemless Root
BusyBox
Permission SELinux Boot
Boosted Volume Output
Systemwide DPI = 590
Deodexed
Known Issues:
To come...
Installation:
MAKE A BACKUP FIRST!
If you aren't already on the 35B bootstack, flash it.
I recommend TWRP 3.0 because it's what I used when recompiling everything.
Wipe data & cache...
Flash the full release and any updates WITH A HIGHER BUILD NUMBER.
Reboot and enjoy! (If you are asked to install SuperSU, DON'T!!!)
After flashing the full ROM, it will reboot one time before booting fully.
Keep an eye for updates. Keep your phone updated.
I am uploading updated full release builds every couple of days so if you need to reinstall for what ever reason, you won't have to download a ton of updates.
I've modified the original system.img instead of created extracted folder type of ROM for flashing like most people do. I find this MUCH safer for flashing.
Download
Credit for parts I used to make this go to

This Guy... roirraW "edor" ehT. For all of his efforts...
Microsoft for this email app that makes most stock email apps look like crap and feel like crap.
Open Whisper Systems for making the world more encrypted than it already was, and safer!
XDABBEB for this very God like gift to the grandfather account holders like myself of unlimited tethering...
And for all the other devs and blokes that bring us stuff that most people will take for granted. To you guys, THANKS!
Be honest... how many of you just read the credits in your head like the game show host talking about the prizes...

Questions & Answers...
Q: I don't see the VVM table in dialer?
A: This relies on your using Google Voice. Like the actual Google Voice app. You can have it co-installed with Hangouts and it won't effect anything. Verizon DOES NOT allow Google Voice to auto configure the settings. You'll have to do that manually. When it gets to the page that has 3 buttons, one will be skip, one is configure and the other is something else. Press skip. When you have completed that part and you are looking at Google Voice inbox screen. Go to the phones dialer. Type *71[Your Google Voice number] *90[Your Google Voice number] and *92[Your Google Voice number]. In 'call settings' of the phone's dialer, you'll see an option for voicemail carrier, make sure it's on "your carrier" not google voice.
Q: xCam doesn't work for me?!!
A: There's a new version on the Dev's page for Marshmallow. The other versions won't work.
Q: Google announced a newer version of their dialer and contacts app, why can't I update?
A: Once Google actually releases the next version, you can always download it from APKMirror and install it as if it was an updated app manually.
Q: Can I use Verizon's Visual Voicemail with this ROM?
A: Yes, download it from here and flash in TWRP.
Q: I don't seem to have root after flashing the full release and the updates... What can I do?
A: Flash this file...
Q: When I receive phone calls, no one can here me! What's going on?
A: The problem is you aren't running 35B bootstrap or if you are, your modem isn't 35B for some reason. Flash the 35B bootstrap.
Q: I am not running 35B bootstrap, where can I download it?
A: Click here...
Q: I can use "Ok, Google!" from any screen with this ROM?
A: Yes, download the patch from here and flash in TWRP.

Cool I will check it out and get back at u Thanks!

It's great to see devs still making roms for this phone. Thank you. Will check it out.

Thanks Roxana for sharing your Rom. Quick question since others may ask. Since you're using Google dialer then I'm assuming that advanced calling/video calling doesn't work through Verizon as well?

xposed supported?

That is correct. I'll be releasing a patch file people can flash to restore the stock dialer so they can have that.
Edit: I was just looking at the thread for the stock 46a rom release, Advance Calling doesn't work on it's correctly and a few have said it's due to us not having a 46a Bootstrap. It's one of the reasons I prefer Google Voice.

Install of xposed is the same as for XDABBEBs 46a Rom release.

Why did you remove the stock sms/mms? So far rom seems fast and stable. In the stock google dialer when you make a call it looks like the lg dialer? Any ideas to make it look completely like google dialer.

I removed the stock SMS/MMS app because it's hideous. Android 6, aka Marshmallow, has a very refinded UX. LG is just starting to work in that direction. They just haven't got there yet. I could have put Google Messager instead of Signal. Signal is VERY similar to GM as far as the UX goes but has way more features and security to it.

Thank you for your work! I'm up and running, only thing i had trouble with was chrome not working due to an error. I tried clearing cache and data without luck so I ended up unistalling via TB and reinstalling from play store without issues. Everything else is smooth and quick! Thanks!

Thanks for letting me know. I'll see what's up. What error was it that it gave? It is a beta. I'm going to be working on fixing any issues that everyone finds and getting the next release out soon. Also, if people can post their download speeds and what speed connection you have. I'm curious how Google is doing for hosting the file or if I need to find a faster place to store it.

For me I could not download direct to my phone, kept giving a fail message. To my PC it was okay. But AFH is always a good spot to upload things, my 2 cents.

Sadly, AFH cost money and there are plenty of free services out there. I'm going to be testing out some other cloud storages soon.

I have been running this amazing rom since last night and it runs like a champ thanks for this sweet rom I really like the way its set up and gives you that stock/asop feel , Good Job Dev
By the way the stripper zip in the other thread basically turns that rom into this rom right?

Mostly. I made that with no intent to release a full ROM. Now I'm releasing a full ROM. I'll be putting up an update tonight. I'm also going to be hosting it with Microsoft instead of my Google Drive... I found them to be A LOT FASTER.

I unfortunately can't remeber what the error was now and it's fixed so infant replicate. Sorry not much help. I did have trouble with the download as well. Took me about 5 or 6 times to get a complete download. Other than that it's been running great all day. Will the update be a dirty flash or clean wipe? I'm also giving the outlook Mail app a shot, I like it so far. Thanks again!

I'm glad you are enjoying everything and that it's all running smoother. I've tried to produce an error with Chrome on first boot but I'm not able to. Might have been you're phone was already updating Google Services or something like that.
I'm already uploading the new update to Microsoft. It's going to be the full ROM just so I have a full copy on there. After this, it should be all incremental updates. This one and all that follow can be dirty flashed unless it's posted otherwise, which I hope never to have to do. Of course if you are having issues after flashing an update, wiping cache is always a good idea since I'm also working on framework stuff for future releases.

v0.3.8 doesn't require a wipe to work. If you experience problems, please try wiping (data + dalvik cache) before reporting issues.
To get a really nice, blue theme for TK-ROM, visit this post!
FLASH THROUGH CLOCKWORKMOD, NOT ODIN!
Instructions:
1. Flash a custom kernel with CWM, eg. this
2. Download the ROM, and place it somewhere on the external SD card
3. Reboot into CWM
4. Navigate with the vol keys to Install zip from SD card -> choose zip -> navigate to where you put the ROM -> press home button
5. Press power button to go back, then home to reboot device
If you appreciate this ROM you may consider to buy me a soda (I don't like beer you see ). It's not expected, but highly appreciated!
Or to thank me, simply press the "thanks"-button
*To get the official Google Maps flash the maps.zip attached through CWM, and update through market.
*To remove the CRT effect flash the framework_wo_crt.zip though CWM.
*To remove samsungapps (musichub, socialhub, IM etc.) open the attached .txt on your phone, mark all, copy & paste in terminal, then accept root and you're finished. You can add/remove apps as you wish with notepad.
*The best fonts I've found so far are ComfortAA and cocon light from here.
*Phone.zip WITHOUT increasing volume is attached. Flash through CWM.
*To get the removed samsung apps installed on your system simply flash this.

i'm probably going to stick to stock from next version (which will be full version with wipe as well), as I've found a glitch in this theme already (took me one day though... was finished yesterday) :S The stock version will be up in ~1 hour
Flott jobb, mange takk /Great work, many thanks!
Although I like the black dialler, I'd prefer one with the "stock font" numbers, if you know what I mean - could that be included with your stock version?
Takk igjen
i'll wait another hour then!
are you just releasing the theme or the entire ROM ?
cant wait!
It will be the entire ROM, like 0.1b
working on it now, then I have to test it, upload and post
A few suggestions for you. I'm not fond of the charging icon included and prefer the circle that alternates between showing the charge state (percentage) and plug icon in the center. It's a lot easier to see where you are at a glance with that one when its on charge and a little bit easier than the stock when its not. This is just me maybe but I prefer to get market apps off the market should I choose them. IMO a setup like designgears uses where you can take your choice when you first boot the rom is the way to go, lets users pick their poison. Any how looks like a good piece of work and I'm likely to flash this and give er a spin.
no novek i love your theme can you keep it plaese.
excellent!
and it seems your going to be busy, i know some people really like that theme! i.e. ^

Thanks for the tips, but LP and TB are apps I use much for testing etc. so unless there are many requests to remove them, they stay.
I'm going to put a .txt in OP for people to run in terminal on their phone to remove unwanted apps (with a selection that I use prepopulated). It's easier if people just removed what they don't want, and those who like what "stock-like" gives can get that.
The "Stock" version will still be with crt/advanced power menu/battery%, but slightly more clean...
Nice rom so far.
I have two issues though; one is that Google Maps won't update, says the package is incorrectly signed. Two is that scrolling seems to 'hitch' quite often. Having come from Lite'ning ROM which was silky smooth, it's quite noticeable.
Thanks for posting though

I use the Ti pro myself, have LP installed but have been running TW debloated for a while. Wanted to give it a fair shake. The idea was not those specific apps just a mechanism that allow users to choose their poison whether it be like design gears, a spare parts, a separate app such as pulser uses. Or what you propose, doesn't matter its the concept not the road. For myself I can fix these things before I flash or after case depending but it takes less time to skip unwanted software altogether than remove it after the fact. At any rate these were not criticisms just suggestions. I appreciate your efforts and will likely flash this after I see where my battery ens up with KF1 which I flashed yesterday.

It does for me for some reason... It's from here, maybe there's a solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1007132
I'll look into the hitching... Is it just there during the first sync, or still present after the first 5 mins?

[Guide] How to flash Google Apps.

When I installed nAa's port recently published for our Mini Pro's, I noticed there was no way to use Market, register a Google account, or use any of the Google services that comes by default on most ROM's. This is because Google Apps are protected by copyright, so Cyanogen decided to wipe them from their official ROM. This can be easily solved by flashing them, and although this is very simple and easy, I found that there isn't much talking about this. Also, I saw there was some people asking and getting no answer, so I'd like to share this. Yes, flamers, even if it is REALLY easy or whatever you may say.
First of all, click this link. Here, you will always have the lastest version of the package, so don't worry about the dates. Then, scroll down and click the Download link, like this:

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Note: Ignore the other downloads. EDIT: Unless you want other versions of Android. In that case, go to the bottom of this post.
You will get a file called "gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip". Well, just flash that (Install as any other Custom ROM -DON'T WIPE-) and then, when you turn on the phone, you will get the default setup where Google configures your account and download Google Apps such as Market.
Hope this can help someone c:
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Times goes on, and technology advances at insane ratios. Ice Cream Sandwich's CyanogenMod version is here, and so are its Google Apps. We, on the X10 Mini Pro community, have actually the option to install ports of this great Android mod on our phones thanks to the awesome developers we have. Some of us, like me, still decline to use CM9 or ICS ports (In my case, because of the awesome stability and every-day use of the Gingerbread ROMs out there), and thus you should know:
-If you are going to use an Ice Cream Sandwich(4.x) ROM, you should download the CyanogenMod 9 Google apps version.
-If not, if you still preffer to use a Gingerbread(2.3.x)-based environment, download the CyanogenMod 7 Google apps version, the one on the screenshot above on this post.
*I don't know your reasons, but if you would like to keep using an even earlier version, I'll list them for you:
Froyo(2.2) ROM, CyanogenMod 6 (Tiny version for our Mimmi -x10 Mini Pro-) is for you.
Eclair(2.1) is CyanogenMod 5 (Tiny version for Mimmi)
Donut (1.6) is CyanogenMod 4 (Tiny version for Mimmi)
Read ALL in nAa first post in MiniCM7 Rom thread. Look at instructions.

Lol, market xd Not all GApps are on that package, just the basic ones. Every other Google App you need, you should download it from the market individually.
i cant. The market app doesnt show gmail and through the "web browser" market on my pc it says my device is incompatible.

Describe in detail your problem so I can add it to the main thread c:
I have a bit of a n00b side question i'm afraid. I've flashed a ROM which I love but how do I selectively flash gapps, the Nexus 4 comes without the native calendar, email etc apps, but if I flash the latest gapps these are flashed back onto the device (obviously). What is the best approach get this ROM with the latest Google services apps and not AOSP apps, I want Chrome, Camera, Calendar etc. Should I just not flash gapps and use Titanium back and backup user + system apps or just flash the ROM and then download them from the play store?
Thank you nico, Now i understand why gapp exists!

I followed instructions from a youtube video and installed CyanogenMod 9 on my HTC explorer. Before that I rooted my phone and wiped out factory cache, dalvik cache etc. I also installed one of the gapps-ics-xxxxxxxx-signed.zip (do not remember the datestamp) in the recovery mode by selecting the zip file from mounted USB storage card. Now how should I get back my backed up apps/data and google play to install more ?
N.B.; I took back up using Titanium Backup prior to taking all these steps.
Thanks in advance for any help in this regard.

Thanks Nico,
Almost 2 years later this is still useful info. My first custom Rom install since honeycomb tablet and I had know idea how to flash gApps. Should have guessed from term "flash" that you use recovery but there seems to be a dearth of details. Your post was first google hit.
Sorry for the late responses, I had totally forgotten about this thread! I don't actually know if this will be useful for the ones who asked the questions, but anyways I'll answer them here in case someone else needs them.

Wow, didn't expected to get first place on Google haha Thanks for the appreciation. Yeah, it is not that hard, but I had little trouble doing it while I was new. It's important to understand not to wipe again to flash gapps also!

It depends on how you backed them up on Titanium. Maybe you did a full system backup or just app-per-app backup. If you did a full System backup, try to restore only Data, look into options, custom restore, something like that, there's probably an option there to do that -I usually don't use Titanium haha-. If you did the app-per-app, just look into the list of apps, go to the bottom of the list, and there should appear the apps you backed up, tap on them and restore them with their respective data.
BTW, for the next time, I suggest doing a backup from the Recovery menu, and then do a custom restore > restore Data. Data is where your personal stuff is saved, so no system files will be affected. It may pass down some bugs or troubles because of incompatibility between your backed up ROM and your new one, but normally that doesn't happen.

MD5 is just a file that makes sure your file is not corrupt. If you flashed a corrupt file, you could mess up your phone entirely without any chance to turn it back, so it is important, but you don't have to care about it because it gets checked by the phone itself.

I think you can get the APK for specific apps inside of the ZIP file that you download from Cyanogen, but I don't know if you can just install them right away. If you want to try, just extract the files, delete the APKs of the apps you don't want, and compile it again.
Even though, you actually HAVE to install Google Apps because you need, for example, the Play Store. There's no problem though with having both Google and Nexus apps (Which I think should be the same ones, being the Nexus like the "official" Google phones), I am pretty sure you can install all of them without getting original ones replaced and then deactivate the ones you don't want to use on the phone's Settings, in the Application Manager.
I hope my answers someday help someone. Regards, Nico.

Basically the same as TE-V1. Guest mode works in this version also.

BarePapA -V2 - All extras removed
BarePapA-TE-V1 Themers Edition - somewhat deodexed
BarePapA -V3 - ODEXED - This requires installing TE-V1 CLEAN. Then dirty flash this. It is not a complete ROM! If you have TE already installed, then dirty flash should be fine. This is in-between V1 and V2 as far as apps are concerned. Guest mode is fully working.

If you still have Sprint boot ani and want to remove it:
If you want to remove the Sprint bootani. Or just be able to install a custom bootani. You will need to do this:
1. In a rooted explorer, go to /carrier/cust/poweron/ and delete those files so the folder is empty.
2. Then do the same with /carrier/cust/poweroff.
3. Go to /system/media and delete the "Sprint_bootanimation.zip". Make sure you leave the "bootanimation.zip" in there.
4. If you don't have anything in the /carrier/cust/ poweron/poweroff folders, don't worry.
If you use Flashtool, they will be there again. That's the only way to get Sprintbootanimation back.
Backup your EFS first!!! Just to be safe - In the FAQ
A dialer reset may be required for a lot of the issues. In order, easy to most invasive.....

Flashed this while at work and working fine, menu page feels a bit snappier.

Your decision really. I don't think there's much difference between them. But who knows.

Awesome I didn't install it yet lol I was concerned because I have to use Wi-Fi calling if I need to use my phone at work. I generally have no signal otherwise.

WifiOffloader is Sprint Connection Optimizer. Be glad it's gone. It's a RAM hungry beast :silly:
Also, props for this. Exactly what I wanted. Slimmed down a bit but everything working.
If I wanted to add LG Health back in, do you know what files I would need for that? It's the only LG app I actually use/like.
You would need at least...
lifetracker
Concierge
My Heath
At the minimum.
It's probably easier to install V1, then remove the apps I have listed. But be careful of any of the overlay files and the LIA....

Ok check this out. I have been thru hell and back rooting and activating this G3 to ATT ST sim the last 24 hours - not to mention the damn edits for apns and network swaps and finally I got Twrped... In all the volumes of threads I have read I haven't seen where to store our .zips prior to flashing a new rom. I have been out of the game for a minute and although it's good to be back I am wary because I am used to always having my external sd and a computer with Wi-Fi. I am Zv8 but 5.0.1 so is this even the right rom or should I dig deeper...? I just need stability and a wee bit of guidance. Twrp recovery is awesome but Damn is it trippy and if I know where to store the Rom.zip and modem I will feel more comfortable wiping everything as my nandroid is at least a functio ing rom with signal...
I know it's totally noob and shiz but my poor brain cannot digest anymore. But I am so look close! Anybody? And thanks for the patience AND understanding!
Just a quick question
Version on my phone is reading as 5.0.1, but IIRC this was a slight bump to 5.0.2. Is that normal?
Thank you for this! Just flashed and everything went smooth. I did flash the ZVA modem after the ROM and now that I'm attempting to re-install my apps, I have noticed the data is horribly slow. Took ~90 seconds to down Titanium Back Up which is only 7mb. I'm flashing back to ZV8 (fairly sure I had ZV8 prior) now and data should be back to normal.
EDIT: Flashed ZV8 modem, still really slow data. Not sure what the deal is, going to let the phone settle and see if that helps any.

Make sure you update profile/prl after installing the modem. My reception always sucks. So I never know if it's better or worse.
Maybe try flashing the zva rpm,tz partitions? I haven't even messed with those. I just made then flashable just in case.
You can revert back to the zv4/6 ones if need be. I think they're in the zv8 threads.

I did update the PRL/profile afterwards, both after ZVA and after I went back to ZV8. No real change in speed. The LTE star almost never stops spinning... I tried to install the Nest and takes forever to start actually showing it downloading, finally it did and least 1min into it I'm at 448KB. I'm fixing to flash the ZV8 partition and see if that helps. If nothing, I'll do another full wipe and install again. BTW I'm coming form latest BarePop prior to BarePapA

I never understood what those partitions were or why I'd need to worry. A while back I did a full wipe and nuked my whole phone, so I did a stock recovery using LG's tools and factory images to zv4, I believe, then went from there through BarePop and BarePapA. Coming from that I should be okay, right?

autoprime explains those partitions in his thread. But those of us on ZV4 bootloader seem to have issues with them.
It won't hurt anything to flash ZVB. And if there's issues, just flash back to the ZV4 ones.
ATM I'm still using ZV4 partitions.
Check out prime's thread fo some info on them.
You shouldn't have any issues. Just do a clean install As this is a whole new ROM
It's basically prime's rom with the fixes we like added. That's all. Bone stock with some sweetness.

At least one more. But not minimalist. Mostly weather, concierge and the LG tattletales.
But that'll all depend on what breaks doing it. I like to keep it all working if I can.
In post #2, I have added "Ad Blocking" and Stock host files. I absolutely hate ad's and the Blocking one blocks about everything, without needing an app. 2 problems though....
1. Some find them too restrictive and can't get to sites they normally would.

2. I seem to forget to remove it when I release a ROM. So these are here for... not if, but when I forget.
Is there a sprint changelog for zvb or something? searching about trying to figure out what is different in this update... appreciate all the time and work spent on us sprint folk. Thank You.

It's just the stagefright fix. But there's other little things that always get modified.

In post #2, I have added "Ad Blocking" and Stock host files. I absolutely hate ad's and the Blocking one blocks about everything, without needing an app. 2 problems though....

Just so I'm making sure i have it right, the blocking ones are in the rom by default? Just wondering because i just finished installing V1 and all my apps and I'm getting ads.
On that note, i just want to say thank you for yet again providing us with a smooth stable rom. For taking the time to make it and upload it for us. It is truly appreciated as i flashed the stock one this morning and OMG I forgot how much crap they put on these things.
Anyway, thank you for making my phone usable.

It's the regular ones. I'm almost done with V2, and yeah... I left them in there. But the regular ones are back in now.
Anyway, there's no issues flashing these back and forth. The host files that is.
Thanks. Glad to hear it. Yeah, I can't handle bone stock either. That's why I get these base roms out so fast.

Thanks. I briefly looked at source last night, and there's about 3mb more in size. So I would guess quite a bit has changed.
Also, because you called me out in it in the past, zipalign and sqlite3 aren't executable either. I tried a few different ones with no luck.

v3A
NOTE
The first boot will take a lot of time! Screen will be glitchy, bootvideo will be laggy and you may not even see anything except for black screen but this is normal and doesn't affect the device in any way. This only happens on the first boot because the encrypted kernel and bootloader try to reject the device but it boots anyway and everything will be OK in the second boot.
v3A
• Based on latest AndroidTV OS, latest Security patches.
• Google Play Works
• All Google Apps Work!
• Recommendations work great! To turn off go to Settings - Home
• Casting Works with Airscreen
• Fully Compatible with A95X Max!
• atvXed up with Multiple USB drivers!
v3B To-Do:
Add USB drivers
Add Navbar and Status Bar
Change Settings shortcut to TVSettings
Change App Drawer Wallpaper
Add some more preinstall apps
DO THE ATVX THING

Rom is *meh*, as it completely throws away the stock android Oreo layout and switches to a straight up TV Box setup like a Roku. Most apk's refuse to work with this setup. The included Youtube app sucks and needs to be REMOVED FROM THE ROM as a system app or at least replaced with YT Vanced. Also, Chrome is simply gone...and you cant find it in the "store" either. The apk can be manually installed with a USB/SD card. Netflix app installed within the store does not work with this rom so its like what are we doing here?... but there is a work around. There is no option to boot straight to recovery either, if there even is one. We need TWRP for this to let us do what we want...Get rid of the Android TV BS and let people install their own launcher and you will profit more than just re-skinning the stock OS with this.
Then don't use it... I use it because of the Android TV layout. He was very up front in the beginning as to what this was and what would and would not work. No 3rd party box is going to work with Netflix or Amazon Apps at this time due to widevine DRM.
If what you have described is what you want, then by all means make your own ROM.

Read the title again maybe?
This is an AndroidTV OS and no it's not BS. Maybe it's only you who likes to use a mouse and keyboard on a tv. This is meant for those who don't want the airmouse BS and want a clean look, to have the real AndroidTV Box and not just a phone-UI Android Box and not the *meh* launchers that are meant for phone screens.
All apks work, if it works in the phone rom, it works in ATV. 'Maybe' you're doing something wrong or lack the knowledge of apps installation.
The google play store is meant for AndroidTV, it shows apps which are compatible with your remote, not mouse or keyboard.
Also, Netflix thing, everybody knows you need a Netflix certified box for it, it's even mentioned on their website.
And everybody knows you can use Aptoide Store for other apps that aren't on play store.
If you want your own launcher, go ahead make a ROM but please don't call my work a 'simple reskin' because I am working my ass off for a box that's totally encrypted to the core and has a 'meh' phone UI.
So, please don't think I'm playing copy and paste here, I've worked hard on this and if my work is *meh*, please use another ROM (if it exists).
Thank you for the feedback on v3A

Did I ***** and complain? I simply stated some of this rom's caveats and giving a heads up to people who might prospectively install this not realizing its going to completely change the OS to a dedicated Kodi box.
No browser at all? Youtube that you cant get rid of? If you dont like my opinion you can straight up not listen to it. I doubt you even installed it in the first place or you wouldn't be responding with your sh*t posts.

You can install Puffin Browser from Google Play. It's the best TV Browser out there, 100% remote compatibility.
It's pre-rooted, you can easily uninstall YouTube if you know what root means. AptoideTV Store is there to help.
I thought I included webXperience, It's our own browser. If I didn't, I'll do it in the next release which is going to shut everybody up because as I mentioned, this is the first release and the next will be address all the issues you mentioned and the features that I mentioned.
If you want a phone rom on a tv box, please go elsewhere because this is an AndroidTV thread, please don't argue here, the mods take notice of everything.
Thank you for understanding.

I am familiar with rooting aka administrative privileges over apps/os and have had many phones/tablets/matricom boxes all eventually rooted with either magisk or super su, some I actually paid for. This rom doesnt allow me to uninstall anything, just disable which is not the same. How can I grant root access to any app, such as bloatware removal tools? There is no root management on this thing. (that I am aware of?) and there is no recovery I can see to get into to flash anything besides the temp TWRP method with an sd card + paper clip which has not worked with anything on this rom.

Try switching on the root switch from settings and reboot.
Another tip, install SuperSU 2.79 and it will fix your root management issues.
The recovery is stock, just like the original ROM. Use quick reboot app to reboot to recovery.
If it still doesn't work, I'll double check and fix anything if wrong. As I said, this is the first release so expect issues unless you know how to fix things but don't worry, the v2B or v2F (whatever I name it) is going to fix all the issues. Trust me, you'll never feel the need to use Navbar and Statusbar again with the new build.

Switching off/on root switch doesn't do anything even with restarting.
SuperSu 2.79 does not successfully flash in temp TWRP with paperclip method or with stock recovery (see pic).
Since there is no root management, quick reboot and other root required apps install but dont work.
Ad-Away also will not save host files either, and I prefer to use that in combination with chrome over Puffin.
If I pissed you off with my earlier post, I apologize and that was not my intent. I understand this rom is pretty much in beta at this point but its very frustrating when nothing works for me, pretty much at all except for what worked with the stock OS.
FYI I have the v81 board.

You are not supposed to flash super su. Just install it.

It doesn't matter, it doesn't install either way (flashing vs apk).
All I can think of is to completely re-flash the new link firmware over my version I installed when you made it first available, maybe there is a difference?

Thanks for letting me know, it's strange it's not working for you. My friend reported it working. I'll fix the su in the new version. Meanwhile, you can flash stock rom because I don't want you to get any issues.
New build will be ready in a week or so and it's going to be great!
Thanks for all the feedback.

If you watch this video, you can see that Nicholas tested that the ROM is rooted. That's why I said, I don't know why it's not working for you.
https://youtu.be/hnliXmly7WY
Maybe you can try switching root switch off, reboot, then on and reboot.
I'll update the su anyway, nobody should be getting any problems but this box is one hell of a fighter. They've encrypted everything! I could only get access to system because kernel, recovery and everything else was encrypted.

I spoke too soon lol. SuperSu 2.79 installs after a fresh firmware flash but bootloops (waiting 20 minutes and still stuck on logo screen). Re-flashing and installing SuperSu 2.82 does the same thing. Oh well.
Re-flashing the image brings its back but just beware root doesnt work. I give up, good luck to everyone getting root.
