I'm looking for the stock image for the LG Sunrise (lgl15g). For some reason I can't find my backup image of stock 4.4.2. I've rooted with Kingroot and somewhere along the way something went horribly wrong. I'm unable to pair w/ bluetooth, can't recieve or make calls, and my home button isn't working correctly. If anyone has the stock image for this phone it would be a big help and much appreciated.

I made a few changes to the build prop. And the system apps. But i wasnt aware of any major changes that i made. But the same thing has happened to me for the most part.
If anyone has a copy of a stock or working build prop. And or a copy of the stock image once someone comes out with a working recovery. Plrase post it.

[Q] Installing Web2Go and Wifi-Calling on P509 with custom ROM?

I have a P509 with no data-plan (pay as you go). I often use wifi-calling though (when signal is weak/non-existant) as well as web2go when I don't have wifi access and need to get on the net.
I tried a couple of the custom ROMs, and I really like devoid, but I was unable to get these apps reinstalled. I tried using Titanium Backup to restore the apps, but restoring web2go hangs titanium backup, and restoring wifi-calling works, but wifi-calling generates an error when it tries to start. For now I'm back on the stock rom with a franco kernel, which seems to be working fine, but I'd love to go to a custom kernel.
For anyone interested, the WebToGo app seems to be just a wrapper to bring you to http://home.web2go.com, so it is useless. It isn't included as an apk, so if you want to use it on a custom ROM, you need to deodex WebtogoHome.odex then recompile to apk
Wifi Calling is actually system/Kineto.apk
It also requires:
lib/libganril.so
lib/libkineto.so
lib/librilswitch.so
I'm not aware of a way to build an apk that installs extra files in .lib (there may be a way, I'm new here), so the only way I know to install is either using a custom zip, or to build a custom ROM with these. I did the latter.
I forgot this part:
in build.prop (I put it near the end)
Code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libril-qc-1.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
I'm able to run devoid.franco with Wifi Calling using these settings and the above listed files on my P509
If you have T-Mobile as a provider, you can use wifi to send/receive calls with your normal phone-number.
The software is called 'Wifi Calling' and only works with T-Mobile. It comes stock on the Optimus-T/P509, but takes several tweaks to get it working properly on a P500 based ROM as I learned.
That is great news!
Are you able to go to http://home.web2go.com in your browser and add a day data pass? I disconected from wifi and allowed data but could not get to the website.
yep it seems to work for me.
I was much more interested in the Wifi-Calling though, as my cell reception is terrible at home.
I'm going to try to make a zip that will update the rom properly. I don't yet know how to alter the build.prop file from a zip, but assuming I can figure that out, I'll post it.
Here is a zip that should apply to any p500 2.2 based rom to get Wifi Calling (with T-Mobile) working. I've only tested it via clockwork mod. And I've only verified it using T-Moble in the US.
One note. I used a pretty dirty method to update the build.prop file, so don't install the zip more than once on any given rom. Doing so would probably work fine, but will leave extra junk in your build.prop file
Edit: I don't want to maintain multiple copies, should I need to update the code in the future. Get it from here:

That would be a great application. I know many T-mobile customers decide to just use the stock ROM so they can have wifi calling.
Figured out my problem accessing web2go. I thought it was a general problem because I had the same symptom in both phones. One phone had a sim that had never been used. The other phone somehow lost its APN settings. Of course, the bad sim card was in the phone with the correct APN and the good sim was in a phone with no APN entries. Stupid!
well done on the wifi calling zip!
i'm going to give it a shot tonight and post the results.
btw do you have any trouble with incoming MMS using custom ROMS? Mine shrink unless i'm using CM7.
You started off asking a question about wifi calling. You now have a app that solves the problem.
I think this section is no longer appropriate. This thread should be in the "Optimus One, P500 Android Development" section. When you post there your solution will get the attention it deserves!!
PS Don't forget to modify the thread title.
PPS Works Great!!!
I don't have enough posts to reply to your thread in the Development section, but just wanted to say thanks!
In the UK, this Wi-fi calling service is offered by the Orange network but I was unable to use it as my phone was not running the Orange ROM. I was able to adapt your zip, replacing the app and lib files with ones extracted from an Orange ROM - and it works perfectly.

It uses your own phone-number, and you can call to other real phones with no additional charge. Other than that there isn't much difference.

Humpf... would not the protocol be the huge difference here? The proprietary Skype blackbox pretty much sucks.

RE: ?
509: Running with the new baseband, and OXYGEN.
Any progress on this? Since reading this, I'm trying to figure out a way to dissect an apk and allow for device specific compliance.
I have a few stock and aftermarket 'KINETO apks... What type of code would I need to learn for making this happen?
Also, when opening some of the files, they turn out to be characters spaced out several inches apart. I'm interested in learning about this.
I've been getting to know Eclipse and SDK on Ubuntu; however, some of these files cannot be edited with standard 'gedit' or notepad..
ALSO - When preparing to edit build.prop.kineto, the file opens with the code mentioned here. But that's all; nothing else.
Just these 3 lines of code:
rild.libpath=/system/lib/librilswitch.so
rilswitch.vendorlibpath=/system/lib/libril-qc-1.so
rilswitch.ganlibpath=/system/lib/libganril.so
Please Advise.

[Q]No network after building ROM - MEID Missing

Hello! So I have been having a bit of trouble over the past few days and can't figure out why. I have been doing the same process for weeks and it has been working well, but when trying to rebase to the newest firmware leak I lose network. Here is what is happening:
Device is Verizon SGS3
I wipe absolutely everything, then Odin to the newest firmware: SCHI535VBLK3
Install recovery, SU, and unsecured boot as usual.
Everything runs fine - no issues.
In recovery, I install a mod specifically for this device. Mod is here: kindacrapmods
Basically, it modifies SystemUI.apk, mostly just colors and statusbar themes.
Also, modifies framework-res.apk. statusbar transparency, some icon colors, etc.
Reboot, all is swell. Everything is still working.
THEN...
I dump /system and boot to SD card, and in Dsixda's kitchen I build working folder from them, don't make any significant changes, and then build rom.
I flash the newly built/signed rom and it boots up fine. Everything works EXCEPT I don't have any cellular network/data at all. Just the big (/) sign.
Like I said, this has worked fine every time in the past. I don't understand what could be changing between the system dump and rebuilding. It also is fine before modifying framework-res and system-ui... for example - I repeat the process above without flashing mods.
Has anybody had a similar experience or can make sense of what the issue is? I appreciate the help!
I attached a logcat from boot till first screen-off. logcat
EDIT:
I got a logcat of just the radio: radio logcat.
It seems I have lost my MEID somehow. I can probably restore it, but if this is going to happen every time then I still want to figure out why its being lost. Any ideas?

[Q] Acer A1-840FHD - no camera after latest update - any help?

Dear all,
as there is no specific thread for the tablet, here my request:
I rooted the device (A1-840FHD) and everthing was fine until I installed the latest update (and re-root).
Now the camera is not working anymore (immediate force close) - no connection with google camera. I already tried to reset the device (hard reset and via settings), deleted data of the camera and gallery - camera still does not work.
Therefore: if someone could create a stock image which is installlable via recovery or a backup of Titanium backup of the device (with a working camera), this would really appreciated. Any other hints as well...
I can offer some space on my webspace in order to upload. Please help, if possible by any circumstances...
Best regards,
ww
Installing titanium and backing up.
Never having used titanium before it might take a little experimentation.
If you know the files needed then it would obviously reduce the size of the file I need to upload.
Where did you find the update, I'm on 4.4.2 and have seen 4.4.4 mentioned but haven't found the update file anywhere.

Thx a lot. To be honest, it could be any file so from my point of view a whole tb backup package would be the best option just use batch actions (button on upper right corner) and select "all system data" in the backup section - it should backup almost everything system-wide (it might be a good idea to reset the device first, if possible)
One try could be just the com.acer.camera...
Btw.: It is still 4.4.2 - a few weeks ago there was an official Acer update (as far as I remember about 50 to 100 MB), after that the camera stopped working.
Let's see how large your titanium backup folder is afterwards and how large a zip containing all files will be...
Please keep me posted,
best regards

Same problem here. But I think in my case was my fault.
After the root, I was making a "cleaning" with the Titanium, but forget to backup everything first. So I think I clean to much, because after that my cameras stop working anymore.
I'll be very appreciated too for that files rentaguru.
With that system files I can find what is missing in my tablet.
Thank you both.
Ok I have a full system at 475mb =. You could try the three files with camera in the name first
Easier might be to try what fixed the camera on other tablets where a KitKat update screwed it. This is to boot into safe mode, try the camera, if it works then it should be fixed when you boot back to normal
The backup is climbing into Dropbox. When finished I'll get a list and try posting it
Thx - I will try it via safe boot - but to be honest I guess I will try either the cam or the whole package.
Thx again for your support
best regards

Hopefully....
this. ht tps: //copy .com /MWW6G8mEuvGtawGu is the tit backup of the systems applications (less the bloatware that I deleted before I decided it was a neverending task better left until we had a custom recovery available) Btw I have absolutely no idea of whether there are any limits (volume or otherwise) to the public access to that folder. Blast it won't allow me to post the url so piece it together!
I would point out the uploading it is really slow and keeps crashing, at present about 413Mb out of 475Mb has been uploaded and the brest is uploading at a rate of around 40kB/s. STOP PRESS .... now finished all 475mb is there

I tried the archive.
Unfortunately TB tends to freeze while restoring system apps (at 0% - even with other app processing option still the same) - i extracted all included apps and installed them manually.
The error still remains - last possibility in my point of view is to create an update.zip, boot into recovery as shown in the rooting thread and trying to install update.zip with CWM. After that the only chance remaining is to contact the support and get a replacement.
Nevertheless thx for your support.

Sorry it didn't work. My suspicion is that it will be something in one of the various configuration files that don't get copied by titanium.
I will try to find the drivers for the camera and the entries in the configuration files for it and if I find them post the details so you can check yours against mine. Should get it done tonight so cross your fingers and hope.
Until we get an installable custom recovery solving things like this is going to be difficult. If you find such a beast let me know. I am in the process of installing apktool (h ttps://github.com/pqy330/apktool/tree/master/Apktool) which can unpack the boot.IMG and recovery.IMG but don't hold your breath
Someone as posted a cwm backup of his device on the root thread .... At http://acer.shreps.fr/dls/storage/A1-840FHD/A1-840FHD_1.042_AV0K1_RV0MRC02_WW_GEN1.zip
That might help .... Don't think you can flash it but it should give all the files.
I already sent it back to Acer. Now an official image is available on the support site... unfortunately too late. Let's see what Acer will say about the camera...

Question how Android "system apps" works...

I did post this in the forum specific to my device, but I though I'd look for help elsewhere too, since the question is more basic to Android, and not really just my phone.
I recently rooted my LG G Pro 2 smartphone, did some stuff and everything was great. I was using CCleaner to remove some unneeded apps, but apparently, I removed the basic "phone" system app that allows the phone's cellular modem to work and make phone calls and texts (I'm thinking of it like a Windows driver, rather than a Windows software app). The unit works fine (WiFi, internet, and such), but I cannot make phone calls or texts, and I have NO bars (reception) at all.
So, here's the question: Can just adding in that system app back into the OS be done, or am I screwed?
I read two ideas...
One was to try and find a "phone.apk" and add it back to the data folder. But then I was unsure if "phone"apk" files are the same on all android phones or if each manufacturer has unique phone apk for each device.
The other idea I heard was to do a full restore, which would be OK, but then someone else suggested that if I deleted the phone apk, that I might have also screwed up the possibility of restoring the phone.
Finally, I used an undelete software after this incident, and the undeleter found a lot of apks and zip files, and I recovered those to a storage file on the SD card for now. But the problem there is that the files all just have number for names (for example, like "recovered_file_342579.apk or .zip). I have no idea if any of these are the phone file I deleted. I feel like I should be able to identify these files somehow, and just re-insert the phone file back to where it was.
What do you guys think?
Reflash your rom. Or flash a new one. Restore will not work. Trying to drop in a dialer apk will probably be a big headache you don't want to deal with.

Part of the problem I'm running into now is that I can't find ROM for this phone. I googled, and a couple websites listed stock ROM, but then the links don't work. Device-specific forum here on XDA doesn't list any actual ROMs, either. This phone was in the upper eschelon of LG's line couple years ago, and is still pretty good by today's standards. I find it hard to believe I cannot find some kind of working ROM for this thing.
Is using a D838 ROM (or whatever the equivalent American model is called) OK to use on a South Korean model that I have (F350S)?
I'd still like to know if I can just re-install whatever phone file I erased and get phone function back again.

hi! just want to ask if you will also develop this rom for a300f? i'm very interested in trying this out.
I try ASAP and let you know how it goes for me !
Edit 1 : All right, a few things I noticed. First it boots, perfectly though.
- Text size/display size is really bigger than on stock rom, surely something about screen definition the rom estimates ? Anyway I feel like using a phone for very old people with HUGE text
- Impossible to activate WiFi. It says "activation in progress" but no luck. I tried to replace wlan.ko & pronto_wlan.ko with genuine ones from stock (workaround on mygalaxya rom allowing ril to work) to see if it's better, but then noticed that there's no such files in your rom (systeme/lib/modules and system/lib/modules/pronto usually)
- Preview bug in photo app (front & rear) but pictures are fine and well taken (workaround : use another photo app is fine)
- After doing not so much, the phone is hotter than ever before in months of using stock. Something burning... CPU related I assume ?
- SMS OK but MMS not sending (I didn't dig into APN and so... maybe nothing)
- calls OK
- Google Play does not connect (says to check connection which is working 4G speed everywhere else) / I could restore my apps via Titanium and use them with no trouble
@dcfied : you'll find a pretty working build for A300F right here. Don't own the terminal but feedback sounds good !

- Noticed the same thing with text size, set DPI to around 260 as a workaround
- Wifi is known to be broken, I'll see what i can do about it
- You mean, if you use the builtin camera app the screen is garbled but the pictures are OK?
- I dont know about phone getting hot.
- What GApps did you use?

Hey ! I don't know (or remember...) how to change DPI, could you guide me ? In dev prefs ?
I confirm, preview in photo app is buggy, like little vertical lines all along the screen, reacting to what should be on screen. Looks like a graphic render issue, like a broken graphic card on Mac (souvenirs...)
I used GoogleApps_LL_CM12.1-20151310.zip (yeah, 13 for the month... but downloaded on nov 10th) but if you have a Gapps link to recommand I'll flash it again from scratch.
Anyway, happy to help as I'm not a dev at all, so feel free if you need anything, hoping it will falls under my jurisdiction

You can change DPI in Settings -> Display & Lights.
So if you take a picture, is it full of vertical lines or is it normal?
Could you try OpenGapps to fix the Play Store? http://opengapps.org/
Ok, it's stable enough, wlan.ko should work about that problem, it went in deep sleep only one time, the battery is ok @mooon3, I didn't know if it crashes when building dalvik

- I changed DPI, much much better Maybe you can put it to default on your next builds ?
- For pictures it shows disturbed preview but the result of the taken picture is all right. I tried two alternative apps and preview & capture are fine. @mygalaxya rom has the same issue and workaround. Could not guess what causes this ! You can also change the resolution of the picture (I just put 6mp in 16:9) and it displays well...
- For Gapps, my bad, maybe a time for it to put it together, without intervention it now connects and updates apps as it should...
- @zDemoox : No issue while dalvik cache is building for me. Did you got some ?
- Also @zDemoox : I also wanted the wlan & pronto replacement to try to fix wifi... but didn't find any wlan.ko or pronto folder in system/lib/modules... ???
- And at last a very little bug (I don't know if you can call it like that) but sometimes the top panel (I don't have the english word but this menu you grab from the top of the screen) is a little buggy and difficul to grab. I need to grab it a few times, going from the very top to the very bottom for it to fall and display menu...
Edit 1 : I may have forgotten to thank you @evilracer123 'cause whatever bugs I'm reporting here as @zDemoox said, it's impressively smooth and stable for a very first release !
- Also another thing : as the vibrations of this phone are very strong, is there anyway to modulate the powerness of vibrating ? On stock rom there is something like that in sounds settings, I just put it half way... I didn't find anything like this on CM ?
Edit 2 : I got a few FCs for com.qualcomm.timeservice too

I use ES Explorer but I guess it's more a root matter than a file manager one... You have to access system files. Obviously while you're still on stock rom, as these files will be deleted when flashing CM. But again, I didn't find the same files on the CM version, the .ko are not there, so I wasn't able to replace anything... Surely it goes somewhere else under CM operating system... but I didn't investigate so far !
And yes, no MTP for me neither but Bluetooth (with mac at least) !

I can't wait for stable!!!
Thanks for making this. Can't wait to try it out. I know how to install the custom rom and everything but I just wanted to see if anyone could answer something for me before I try to give it a go.
My handset is locked to my carrier (EE uk). When I was waiting for them to release the lollipop rom I looked into just flashing the BTU firmware onto my handset but I read somewhere that if you flash the unlocked firmware onto a locked handset it can cause issues with the modem or something like that.
The question that I have is that with the custom rom being designed to work for any handset regardless of carrier or region it is effectively an unlocked firmware so will I have the same issues when if I flash it over to my locked handset?
Hopefully someone can shed some light on this for me. I'm not worried if it won't unlock the handset for me as I'm quite happy with my current carrier, I just don't want the fact that I'm locked to a carrier to cause issues with the rom that I may end up reporting as bugs as I have no way of telling if they're being caused by my handset being locked or by the rom itself.
Thanks in advance

I'm sorry, but I have no experience on locked phones.
New build!
https://mega.nz/#!rRRQBADR!cuq-fQcX8sdhOE96ommLKsWs05vHIgQ9x7yd-1nBX7U
In this build, the wifi is fixed partially. To make it work, you must copy the module manually:
Install the rom
Enable ADB, Superuser and Advanced Reboot from Developer settings
Download the module: https://mega.nz/#!SAARXRyA!LQ6INnWKMZl35AaAZNmfMNzIhw95SsyTYCXyVcEJjbc
Transfer the wlan.ko file to /system/lib/modules folder, like so: (using your pc)
Code:
adb root
adb remount
adb push wlan.ko /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko
And lastly, you need to install the module. This has to be done on every reboot. (if anyone knows how to automate this I'm open for suggestions!)
Code:
(adb shell) insmod /system/lib/modules/wlan.ko
After this you should be able to enable Wifi. If not, long press power button and select Soft Reboot.
Sounds complicated, right? Actually it isn't
Ok no problem. If no one is able to tell me whether or not it's going to work with a locked handset then I'll just wait until I get it unlocked. I just don't want to install it and end up with bugs that I falsely report believing to be issues with the rom and then complicate matters for you. Thanks for developing this though.
Wow impressive work @evilracer123 ! I did not updated yet and as I don't have any PC for a while I won't be able to try the adb workaround you offer for wifi.
Nevertheless I found another little issue on your first build : when I'm in call, when I put the phone to my hear it shut down the screen but seems to not deactivate totally the touch detection as I open often some apps like calendar or mail... It seems to me that my hear touch the screen and affect what should appear on it regardless the screen display is off... Not sure but I always find myself in hazardous menu and apps when I finish my calls!
But it's really smooth and stable, I use it since this morning and don't want any minute to come back to stock ROM now!!! Thanks thousands times!
