****Galaxy S7 IN HAND!**** Best [Edge to Edge] Screen protector for S7 - Samsung Galaxy S7 Accessories

Firstly, kindly refer to my first thread on 21st Feb.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s7/accessories/dont-waste-money-tgsp-galaxy-s7-t3319292
Again, please don't waste your money on TGSP for your galaxy S7 due to exaggerated curved edge. So I turn to choose a PET film for my S7. It's hard to find a full coverage screen protector for Galaxy s7 on amazon, and yes, be careful of those junk reviews. They are bogus! Filter out all products that full of junk reviews, I bought a Pleson edge to edge screen protector for my S7 on amazon. 2-Pack, 8 bucks, lifetime warranty, the most important thing is there is NO junk reviews. well, worth a shot.
I must say that I am lucky. This Pleson Galaxy S7 Screen Protector fits perfectly! Decent cutouts and the screen protector itself is curved, it covers my whole screen and no halo. Just check the images for my choice! Would recommend this awesome product!

Where did you buy it?

I bought a Taggshield plastic screen protector that offers edge to edge coverage. Will get them in the mail tomorrow. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/17211459...49&var=470953615215&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

good info, thanks. how does it fair in the sunlight? any unusual reflection etc?

I think this it the product OP bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01B...otector+s7&dpPl=1&dpID=51SLHL9WxTL&ref=plSrch

FWIW, Fakespot is skeptical, purporting to find 78.5% low quality Amazon reviews. That said, the reviews are sufficiently enthusiastic to make me eager for some first-hand xda reviews. I'm looking for a decent stop-gap pending a good TGSP or RhinoShield.

I am on my second rhino shield and the halo is terrible on both. Dont get rhino shield.

According to the RS website, their S7 protector isn't yet available. What RS protector are you using on what device?

I just saw this video and this looks promising, imm order this one and give it a try.

[Q] Best anti-glare Screen Protector?

I'm having trouble deciding on a good matted glass protector for my shield. The only complaint I really have about it is the massive glare I get when going outside
But I've never had to buy this kind of accessory before so I don't know what brands are good or not
Any comments appreciated :good:
I currently have a tempered glass protector, and although it looks and feels great, glare is horrible outside. Since this tablet will be used for the primary display to control a 3DR SOLO Quadcopter drone once released next month, I need something that will work better outdoors.
Going to give this set a try. Not tempered glass, but I don't think you can get tempered glass protection that has a matte finish.
Mr Shield Anti-Glare Protector (3 pack)
Will report back once I give it a try, maybe even do a video review comparing it to what I currently have while outside in direct sunlight.
Let us know how the fit is as a lot of the reviews for the other devices indicated it's not a tolerable fit...

Galaxy S7 Full Screen Tempered Glass **RESOLVED**

So like me i am sure you all went thru a lot of glass and plastic screen protectors for your galaxy S7 and nothing fits right or feels same.
Here is a new one by CORAL

Here is a video review by our own ebpman

Mod edit: Commercial links removed.
Hopefully i was able to help you all out!
EDIT UPDATE:
Review for the Coral Tempered Glass
#1 Looks 8/10- It dosent look exactly like the phone, so its like putting a case for the front as well. However dont get me wrong it does look very good so i will give it an 8 since it does not preserve the samsung color all the way but it comes very close.
#2 Design: Idk how i can rate this one. It is shaped just like the phone screen so thumbs up i guess.
#3 Functionality: Flawless touch screen experience. This field will get 10/10
#4 Compatibility: Already tried it with other cases, about 5 of them (i work at Verizon) and it works well with all of them. I can see it being a problem with some off brand super tight cases though. I tested it with UAG, Incipio, Speck, Spigen, Case Mate.
#5 Protection: It makes my phone feel very secure and is a solid over all product. so this is one place it gets 10/10 for sure. It is 0.26 MM which is thinner than 0.33 MM regular glass we are used to but if the glass was any thicker i dont think the cases would fit it, so i do believe its the perfect thickness.
Overall its a 9 depending on how it does with my cases but i am sure it ill pass with flying colors.
Will do a more in depth review once i get back home from work tonight or tomm. Will post pictures
I am using it with an otter-box commuter right now and its working great. Also idk how many of you saw this but here is the video of our very own ebpman who did a review on one as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6Fzelt0l9s
Another review by @seoulbrova https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70dP...ature=youtu.be
P.S: I have more cases coming in oblique and caseology and all so ill post how those work with this here.
These companies should probably have options where the samsung logo gets hidden.

would you really like that?? i kind prefer mine as if there is nothing on the screen to preserve the orignal look. But then i am also the person whos like BEFORE and is against the after
Ordered one, hope it's as nice as it looks.
Are there any distributors of Coral products in Canada? The shipping costs bring this to about $60 CDN, which seems a bit high for me. Also, is Coral associated with Leaf (perhaps owned by them)?
I wanted to order this, but even with the $5 off coupon, it adds up to $30+. They charge $4.50 for first class mail shipping, which is ridiculous. $32 for a screen protector is a bit rich.

Please let us know how it fits! It seems like all the manufacturers are having problems with those curved edges with not only tempered glass, but also PET. Those slightly curved edges are making it difficult to find any screen protector that is full screen and doesn't have edge lifting or issues with cases. This is the first company with a full screen tempered glass protector that actually has a video of it on the s7 and addresses those issues. Still, it will be good to hear from someone that has tested it first hand that isn't paid by the company.

Is it ? everytime i ship something using first class mail it always ends up being over $5 honestly i cant comment on the weight as idk if i have ever shipped anything which weighs like a tempered glass but oh well i wont complain if it works properly, otherwise back it goes lol.
Whats with colored screen protectors this time around?
Are they trying to hide the rainbow effect?
I can confirm that this tempered glass protector would fit as advertised because i bought the plastic ones and they fit perfectly. Heres the link. I purchased one and should arrive in a week. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/17175543...49&var=470968620531&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
Just bought the gold, will update on how it looks.

Interesting, is that a knockoff Zagg? Not that the brand matters. As long as it fits, protects the screen and doesn't interfere with the touch sensititivy, I don't care about the brand. Maybe mfg finally figured out how to make these for the curved glass. However, the title states for Samsung Galaxy S6 S7 and I've seen plenty on Amazon that state full coverage for Galaxy S7. Then based on reviews, it seems they just rebranded an S6 protector. It does state beneath the title, [tested on Galaxy S7], and also gives the option to select S6 or S7. I hope it fits! If so, it means that there will be a lot more of these available and prices will come down. If you bought the PET one, did you notice any edge lifting?
@ -Gir-, in the video it actually shows the rainbow effect, so no, I don't think that's it. Maybe it helps with aligning it? I don't know, and it does seem sort of unnecessary. The one in the ebay link also has colored borders.
Dam, no getting these in the UK? I checked the site and they only ship to the states.

I am waiting on the glass one to arrive. I bought a 3 pack of the plastic ones and stuffed one of them up but second one fit on perfectly. Using a Spigen case and no screen lifting. Touch sensitivity is smooth as it is off. No problems at all
I got my onyx s7 yesterday, 1st day out of the house. Rocking a spigen case (need to change the case, rear is clear plastic and very slippy) add to that the screen is naked, im scare of breaking it.
Ive akways had tempered glass on my s5 and had no issues. ordered the crystal spigen but desperate for a tempered glass one in the uk
will wait for a price drop, they sell other items on amazon for much less. obviously this will be higher than most but hoping a small drop will happen soon
keep us posted on field tests

Looks like that one only ships in Australia, which is shame for me here in Canada. The price seems much better than the one from Coral, but maybe there is a quality difference. If I was in Oz I would likely order this one and try it out. The price of the Coral one is too high for me to order it right now.

Thanks, but looks like that one also only ships within Oz. I decided to order this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Galaxy-Protec...458707412&sr=8-8&keywords=screen+protector+s7
I'll report back once I get it and (try to) install it.

Hope that Jetech works for you! Just checked again on Amazon and it looks like there are quite a few options now with the same description as the Coral one; namely 9H hardness, oleophobic coated and full coverage (Sorry, can't add urls, newbie poster, long time browser). Also, all seem to have the colored borders. Prices seem to range from about $8.99-$29.99 (Checked Amazon UK and there seems to be a few on there too!). I have noticed that like the Jetech, most of these state the thickness is 0.3 mm, which one reviewer stated made pressing the home button difficult for his fat fingers. Curious to know if anybody else has had that issue before. It seems this is a common thickness for the tempered glass. My last one had a gap under the home button so it wasn't an issue.
@ Leeum, thanks for the update on the fit of the plastic ones. Good to know you didn't have issues with edge lift with the Spigen case.
@ StickyGeko, I had the same case and almost dropped it first day! Immediately ordered another case and only kept that one on there long enough for the new one to arrive. Ended up going with the Spigen Slim Armor. Still a bit smooth for my liking, but it seems to have just a bit more padding.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Tempered Glass - Fail

With over 55 Million S7 devices sold - Why is it that No Company has produced a proper fitting Tempered Glass screen protector?? Spigen - Bodyguardz... Not one of them has..

same here. I got some online and when they arrived they are ridiculous small. looks stupid.
So I got one that actually covers the whole front of the phone. Works good.
Try Clearplex if available where you live.
No company has made one which properly fits because the phone's screen is a horribly complex shape to make a glass screen protector for. They'd have to make the protectors individually and curve them perfectly to fit the screen. Then the protector would be very expensive, and installation would require a much greater degree of accuracy. Look at all of the different protectors out there which have the same problems. Many of those companies have done their best with the material they buy from a glass supplier. They either go too close to the edge and know it'll lift, or stick with the flat surface only and know it' won't offer full coverage. This phone is probably a huge headache for them.
I've done what thundastruck has and stayed away from glass with my S7. It sucks, but I want good screen coverage and case compatibility. You can't get that with glass on the S7.

Well Bodyguardz has decided to make a Tempered Glass Screen protector for the S8 that actually fits the curves - But I spoke to Bodyguardz and they DON'T have any plans to manufacture the ARC for the S7.....

That's the thing: The S8 was made with curved sides, but they aren't nearly as difficult to make a protector for as the subtly tapered sides/corners/top/bottom that the S7 has. Manufacturers can better handle curves that run the entire length of the sides. Even so, when looking at screen protector reviews for the S8 I see folks are having a tough time with breakage and case compatibility. Flat screens are where glass protectors do best, as they can be cut from bulk sheets, need little to no additional processing, and installation is much easier.
Has anyone tried Bodyguardz's screen protector or contact case?

All S8 protectors are pretty much crap, just like they were for the S6 and S7. There's only one that works properly is the Whitestone Dome, but it's been out of stock pretty consistantly since it came out.

Here's how you can tell: Watch the BodyGuardz install video. See where he says "Run your finger along the edges to smooth the small bead of adhesive"? Yeah, that means there's no adhesive over the screen, and it's the same POS overpriced crap everyone else is selling.

What's the most similar screen protector (foil) to the one that's pre-applied on S20?

I had S20 for about 6 months and today I've been unlucky enough to somehow get dust under the protector and I had to peel it off.
I've been happy with it but I sadly found out that Samsung doesn't sell (or apply) the exact same screen protector in their stores so I'm looking for a replacement that will provide the most similar experience to the one that was originally applied on the screen.
Note: I do NOT want a glass screen protector. If there's a foil that will work as good or better than the pre-applied one, that's fine but a glass screen protector is something I'm not interested in.
Yep, I agree with you, their included protector is just great! I read that they do it in their stores, but that was while ago.... I'd be interested in similar protector as well since mine has some scratches and bubbles
I got some of these. Easy to apply (they give you all the tools) and is basically the same as the OEM one in terms of performance and aesthetics. Just read the installation booklet before you dive in as it's like a two part thing with a squeegee tool.

So I did but the one you suggested and I'm generally happy, the application I've done wasn't perfect (I applied the foil slightly to the left but other than that, it is aligned) but I do agree that it was quite easy to apply.
So onto differences from the OEM one.
There is no hole for the camera which I'm not sure is bad since I don't really use front camera and can't say if it affects the quality. For me it's probably a benefit because it would drive me mad if the hole were misaligned because of my imperfect application
Sadly, the foil is "softer" - if I grab the phone in wrong way and my fingernails put too much force towards the screen, it does leave marks (scratches, I guess). They don't seem to actually stay there for long but I don't feel as comfortable knowing that I can scratch it that easily. Even though I don't expect to change this foil to anything else, the OEM was definitely better on that front.
I don't really have much else to say here, for the price (I bought 3-pack for an equivalent of 13-14$) it's great but if I would be looking for the best foil out there (and had money to waste on all the different foils ), I would definitely keep looking for a better one.
Ibywind. Best of the best.

I had the same problem with my S20; I tried different tempers but nothing worked, then I tried gadgetshieldz screen skins, which were recommended by a colleague. I've been using it for three months and am pleased with it.
In my perception, you may like that because the display skin is ultra-thin.
Am leaving the link which I ordered on: Samsung s20

Tempered glass screen protector in 2021?

Any suggestions?? It's a nightmare looking for a decent one that's not too narrow, lifts along the edges, doesn't have halo effect etc.
The one I currently have is a random from China but I have no clue what it is. It has a black border that clips a few pixels but it's been the best so far.
Anyone have a good suggestion? Even the ones on Amazon seem awful. It's overwhelming and I'm tired of looking lol
I recently switched to hydrogel ones and do not regret the decision. the overall touch and feel are better than tempered glass.
Been a huge fan of OMOTON. Great quality, and if you subscribe to the lifetime warranty they give you a free gift. They also hit me up one time with some products to review and I've ordered them on Amazon and they gave me a full refund after I reviewed them.
Now I bought screen protectos from RIMUHIR because I did not found OMOTON on Amazon and wow they are so bad.
