[XPOSED] Android N-ify - Use features introduced in Android N on your LP+ Device! - Xposed Framework Modules

Android N-ify - Use several features introduced in Android N on your Lollipop and Marshmallow device!
Your device doesn't get an update to Nougat or you are just too impatient to wait? Then this module is what you need! Android N-ify allows you to use many of those new fancy features on older devices.
Important: Read here about the future of the module!
Supported features:
New notifications and quick settings
New recents design
Settings tile summaries
Quick Switch (Double-tap recents to switch to last app)
Use recents button to navigate through recents
Planned features:
Updates & Improvements according to Nougat source
Quick reply [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots {NOTE: The apps actually have tu use Quick Reply. Even though it's implemented doesn't mean everp magically uses it})]
New QS animation [Progess: 95% (Available in snapshots)]
QS Editor [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
QS Pages [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
Emergency info on lockscreen [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
App install source in app info [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
Navigation draver in Settings [Progess: 50% (making it compatible with LP and other ROMs)]
Night mode
New crash message design
New app installer design
N easter egg
Yep, that will be a huge update when it's ready.
IMPOSSIBLE features (so far):
Multi-window (I'm not talking about enabling the M Multi-window, I'm talking about the true N one)
DPI selector
Data saver
Tall recents. We can make them wider, but not taller.
Features I'm not going to implement:
New navigation bar (Use the module Nougat Navigation Bar instead)
New Doze mode (my implementation would be basically the same as the ones in Greenify, ForceDoze, NapTime etc)

The builds above are outdated. New snapshot builds are available one post below.
Only working on Android 5+. Might not work on ROMs that heavily modify code I'm touching with this module (I'm looking at you, TouchWiz, LG, and partially HTC).
There are Snapshots available in the second post.

Known issues
SystemUI crash on OOS3 when opening recents. Disable the new "no recents" image to fix it.
On some ROMs the "clear all" button doesn't work
Depending on the DPI the volume panel may have a spacing on the left side
On some LG ROMs the header gets messed up. Disable the header tweaks.
FAQ / Bugreport Guidelines
Snapshot users: There is a FAQ about Google Assistant and Direct Reply available.
Feature xyz isn't working for me!!
Good to know that something is somewhat broken for someone. I'll fix it in no time because I know exactly which Android version you use, which ROM and most important what went wrong. Many thanks for you detailed bug report!
Now seriously, I get these types of reports way too often: When you report a bug, please first check the Github issues. If your issue isn' t reported there yet, open a new issue on Github and attach at least your Xposed log. Only post a logcat if an app (i.e. the SystemUI) crashes.
People seem to have features that I don't have in my version?
If that's the case then you are probably using an official version from the Xposed repository. These are considered stable and most features should work for everyone. If you want to have fun with the newest features have a look at the post above, there you can find snapshots that contain the newest chages.
Can you please add feature xyz?
First: I only add features taken from Nougat. If you want me to add something that isn't available on Nougat - No. This is no theming engine.
If your feature is taken from N, first have a look at the "Impossible" section above. If it isn't listed there - Great! It will be implemented at some point if I consider it possible / reasonable.
If you see another regulary asked question that isn't listed here yet please tell me.

The changelog can be found here: https://github.com/wasdennnoch/AndroidN-ify/blob/master/changelog.md
Snapshots:
Thanks to @paphonb and @Maxr1998 there will be a new build every time a new commit gets pushed to the open source repository. Note that you have to uninstall the official version before installing a snapshot and vice versa. You can find the newest preview builds here: https://paphonb.xyz/site/jenkins/job/AndroidN-ify/
These builds also contain experimental features, but you have to guess how to tap them - eh, unlock them.

Looks like your rom changed the layout of the settings tiles; I'll add an option for this in the next release.

Confirmed working on Xperia Z2 Official Marshmallow Beta
Note: Double tap to switch does not work for me

confirmed working on ResurrectionRemix v5.6.5 3/21 build (6.0.1_r22) on my nexus 6p.
the doubletap recents to switch to last app doesnt work guess due to the smartbar settings of the rom. i can set that action to doubletap there but i like long press recents better like i have it now anyway.
the settings subtitles work and are really neat. see attached screen. just not translated (yet) i possibly could help out with a german translation. just say yes ^^
guess u are working on a settings activity to turn features on and off, if not i would suggest that
nice project to bring N-like feeling to unsupported devices.
didnt bother to mess with multirom and the N beta for my phone yet ^^ cant wait for the new features. planned list looks nice.

Cool!
It works fine on my cm12.1, hope add more N features.
Cheers
rxz

Hi there! The settings dashboard subtitles indeed work great (OnePlus One, CM13)!
The double-tap to switch apps, like a long press does currently, doesn't work. And I do use a navigation bar, so I have a recents key.

It is possible to add options to be able to answer to a message from a notification?

Nice module, settings dashboard subtitles works flawless here (display in english, can this be translated to user's native language? If possible volunteer here)
Double-tap recents to switch to last app doesn't work on my device ( or maybe because of I'm using GB module here and there is a incompatible between them?)
Anyway another utility module here, also the planned features are awesome, really look forward to see future updates.

Confirmed working on Xperia 5.1.1 rom, on my xperia zl build .222. Many thanks, looking forward to android n notification layout. Your awesome ?

working on 5.1 stock GPE rom.thanks, cool module ?

[ICS][P][Xperia] Xperia Keyboard Prediction Toggle 1.6.1

This module works only for the Xperia Keyboard app!
Reported working app versions: from 6.2.B.0.26 to 8.0.A.0.110
What's the idea?
I often type things that aren't words on my phone, yet the prediction storage remembers them all.
I find it tiresome to switch the word prediction whenever I need it or not, so I made this simple module that made life easier!
So, what it does?
It's simple, long-press the space bar to bring up the list of possible prediction modes:
- 'Auto', Automatic word corrections
- 'Semi', Only automatic accent corrections
- 'Manu', Manual selection of corrections
- 'None', No predictions at all
Compatible only with the official Xperia Keyboard app, on any Android version.
Download: Xperia Keyboard Prediction Toggle on Xposed Module Repository
If you found this mod useful consider donating me a coffee, this will help me code ^^

Does this support the gesture typing mode in the default keyboard?

It seems I can't do this after all, because I can't decompile the APK in any way? It's weird.

Yes, I'm using that one.
It doesn't work with Xperia Keyboard 6.7.A.0.86 on a Z3 Compact.
Logs and APK attached.
1.1
I am really wondering why haven't I updated this until now.
With 1.1 I got versions from 6.2.B.0.26 to 6.4.A.1.52 covered.
Report if newer or older versions work too if any of you can
Enjoy!
It still doesn't work but it's a different error now. Xperia Z3 Compact.
1.2
@ArturGaspar Thanks for your input! :good:
Here is 1.2, with support for versions up to 6.7.A.0.50.
As always, enjoy!
It works now! Awesome!
1.3
Got a new feature update rolled out, after all this time!
Changes:
Code:
- Support for Xperia Keyboard app versions up to 6.7.A.0.92!
- Added a preference activity to disable unwanted prediction modes
- Added an overlay for the spacebar to show current selected prediction mode
1.4
Another update!
I couldn't stand to look at the text not fitting in the mode selection popup, so I made scaling customizable.
Also, since I got my hands on the newest Xperia Keyboard app version, I made it compatible.
Enjoy
1.5.1
Another update rolling in!
Changelog:
Code:
- Reworked code structure
- Support for Xperia Keyboard app versions up to 7.2.A.0.32
- Fixed minor bugs
- New app icon
Hi xspeed. First of all thanks for the hard work.
A bit of an idea though. What if upon turning off the prediction, the swipe functionality moves the text cursor. Then when prediction mode is turned on, it goes back to the usual swipe typing.
I also looked into the code and I can't see the actual code for intercepting the space key. Mind showing me the way? (pretty please )
Thanks once again

I was actually thinking about that a while ago. In the end I think having left and right arrow buttons on the navbar would be better though, therefore if I ever decide to do that, it will be a separate module just for that.

Yeah, well, the GitHub repo is pretty outdated. I am currently in the process of reworking the whole code base of all my modules to make them work on Oreo, so it will be updated at some point.
1.6
That being said, 1.6 is out with Oreo patches and support for 8.0.A.0.110 version.
May work with higher versions though, always worth a try

[Xposed][APP][1.0.1][ICS-LP]SwipeBack2 - Finally back alive

Download link is in the thread, do not use the "Download" section in XDA DEVDB, my network has some problems with it for now.
After nearly one year's silence, SwipeBack is now back alive, known as SwipeBack2.
SwipeBack2 is the continue of SwipeBack. It has still the basic feature, swipe-to-return gesture, inspired by the library SwipeBackLayout written by @ikew0ng(a.k.a. IssacWong, 碎星iKe, 碎iKe). It provides a smooth, nature-like and highly customizable swipe-to-return gesture. This module is initially a wrapper of SwipeBackLayout in Xposed, and was welcomed widely by Xposed users. Gradually it has gained much new features that is more than SwipeBackLayout.
If you have installed the old SwipeBack, please uninstall it first, and then you can install SwipeBack2
Features:
* Swipe-to-return gesture
* Per-activity settings which means you are able to customize settings on <strong>each page of each app</strong>
* Experimental hacks for Lollipop (may not work, use with caution, do not turn it on globally)
* More experimental features are coming in future releases.
Note that SwipeBack2 is now only a rewrite and a port to Lollipop (but it still works on ICS/JB/KK). It has many work to-do, as:
* Pure-gesture mode (disable scrolling effects, enables compatibility with apps that consist of Fragments but not Activities, and can work with Browsers)
* Fully-costomizable trigger area (at <strong>any</strong> position on the edge, to fix compatibility with apps that has a gesture like drawers already)
* Automatic bug report and crash log submitter
* More (<strong>advices are always welcome)
SwipeBack2 is free software released under the terms of GNU GPLv3. Source code available at https://github.com/PaperAirplane-Dev-Team/SwipeBack
Changelog
1.0.2:
- Fix icons
- Add ability to show a settings shortcut to the current app activity in notif bar
This is a minor release. We will go to fix several bugs in the next few weeks
1.0.1:
- Fix crashes in main app UI
- Fixes for apps with wallpaper

FAQs:
Q: Why renamed to SwipeBack2?
A: Because SwipeBack2 is completely rewritten, and is refactored to have a better stability and flexibility. And another reason is, that SwipeBack (us.shandian.swipeback) is blacklisted by Alipay because of the unsecure SwipeBack, so I just renamed it to SwipeBack2 (info.papdt.swipeback), hoping that it will not be blacklisted any more.
Q: Would you add feature X / fix bug X?
A: Feel free to send emails or open issues on GitHub page. I may not have time to reply to you all, but I will take a look at bug reports and feature requests and have the resonable ones implemented in new releases.
Q: SwipeBack is great! Do you accept donations?
A: Well, not now.

Not for me, works as it should. Everything fine. Just have to experiment a bit with the Lollipop Feature, few Apps don't like it as stated in the App.
Ty!
apps loaded well but cannot change settings any of the app "unfortunaly swipeback 2 has stopped" please fix it

Cannot get it working on a Nexus 5 with CM12, I don't know if I'm doing anything wrong but I don't think so. Just installed, enabled it on Xposed and restarted. It's not CAF, so it may be fault of the rom. What android and rom are you using?
EDIT:
Just disabled every other module and it's working now. I will try to find which one is causing the problem and report it because it may be useful to someone.
Works fine expect one bug - on Lollipop when I go to the task manager after swipe back an app it shows the launcher screen as the thumbnails for the swiped back app.
Works great on LG G2 XenonHD 5.0.2:good:

Im glad someone revived this amazing module ... please keep it updated ... i will keep giving feedback and any bugs if i find on this thread
Edit 1 Bugs-
1. While swiping back on Whatsapp it goes back perfectly from the Chat screen to the Chat list. But while Swiping back on other apps like Gallery or Instagram. It doesnt swipe back. It goes to Home Screen.
2.After Swiping back the Recent app page shows wrong thumbnails .. it shows the Home screen as thumbs instead of App last state. (Screenshot Attached)
3.Also after restart i got a com.location.google has stopped ... i may have said the term wrong .. but it was something regarding Location.
4. SB2 force closes if Global settings option is pressed.
Notes:
I have unistalled old Swipeback and Freshly Installed this.
I love this app and will continue to send feedback to make it best.

Awesome module!
Works ok on Nexus 5 on 5.1.1 LMY48I.
However I don't understand a thing:
I use it together with gravitybox and navbar stuff is changed, and it works with the module active (for example, the navbar is 80% tall). However, after hiding and swiping up, the bar is 100% tall like no gravitybox options were set. Why? can't you mantain the navbar properties and put them there again?
Edit: I noticed also that the "v" icon on the navbar interferes with all custom icons on navbar (not only gravitybox), pushing them to the right without reducing the distances between all of them to fit all them in screen like would be normal. Is this normal behaviour?
This module is cool but mostly everyone uses GB or navbar tweaks, so a bit of compatibility would be awesome!
Thanks a lot for the module!
SystemUI keeps crashing on Moto G 1st Gen. running SlimSaber.

Whoa! I thought you had already quit making roms. I used Slim as my everyday driver on my Nexus 5, here's hoping this one is as good!

Slim Doze is actually another name for Ambient Display. Originally when ambient display was on (after incoming notification), tap on the screen would unlock the device. To reduce the chances of a random unlocking, it is now changed to double tap.
Is real dark slim coming back?

can anyone give some screens?
I have switched from N Developer Preview and i miss one feature: "Quick Switch" (Double-tap recents to switch to last app). Please it's possible to backport this feature to Slim6? I have found this functionality in Xposed Android N-ify, but it looks like Xposed doesn't work on this rom.

Can't you hold recent to do that? Mine works like that..

No, it didn't work on my Slim6. I don't think on Slim6 is some action on double or long-press recent button. I want this https://youtu.be/cJT77ubdDnc?t=1m10s functionality.
Weekly build is postponed until Friday: https://twitter.com/SlimRoms/status/750689823007051776
I have found bug, but i don't know how to report it, i don't see anything in logcat.
Just use chrome, keep scrooling and switch network (turn off/on WiFi and connect to LTE or back to WiFi), chrome will freeze sometimes for 10, sometimes even 20 seconds. Other roms sometimes freezes in this situation for a second.
This is really anoying when i travel in train when connecton changes every few minutes.

I use TugaBrowser, Chromium based and Snapdragon optimized browser with Google account sync support (don't really need it though). v52.x branch. It is available via XDA Labs.

[4.4+] Unique Controls [HALO][PIE]

Unique Controls - Change the way you use your device
This app brings you 2 great features that changes the way you use your device as soon as you get used to them you will never want to live without them again
The first one "Halo" is a little bubble that hovers over all your apps. Halo gives you quick access to your notifications (similar to facebook chat heads but for every app) by showing them in a beautiful and intuitive
way. You can launch, dismiss and scroll trough all of them.
The second feature is "Pie". Pie gives you the power of gesture navigation in whatever app you are. Simply swipe up from the bottom of the screen to reveal a beautiful menu with your favorite actions.
So what are you waiting for, try it out and experience android as it should be
In order to use floating windows you have to have xposed framework installed
Latest update 31.12.16
Full version now almost 50% cheaper!
Changelog in the app

Also, will you add "Hover" feature?

Hello, great module !
Work fine on Kenzo exodus rom here. I'd like to suggest some more customization of pie such as menu button always

great job!
i found some issues:
some how the accessibility control of PA has disable and could not be enable 'cause some app cover the window.
further, if the status in 'app notifycations' can "all or none", it will be great.
and i'd love to know that, it is any possible that PA interacts with XHFW3 that makes the app booted in PA become movable and adjustable.
if you dont mind, i would like to help to translate the ui into Chinese.

Yeah its because halo is on the screen you have to dismiss the bubble and reenable it after you gave the permissions i don't think there's any workaround for that:/
I will add this to my todo list
Hmm i don't know but it don't think so
Yeah that would be great but first i have to read how the hole multiple language thing works because i started programming somewhere between march and april and this is my first app
