[Xposed] Hideable Nav Bar v1.0.5 (17/03/16) - Xposed Framework Modules

Features
Hideable navigation bar like Huawei phones
Click the down arrow at the left side of navigation bar to hide the bar, and swipe up to show it again
Tested
Android 5.0/5.1 AOSP/CM/Xperia
Android 6.0 AOSP
On CyanogenMod
As you kown, CyanogenMod has an editable navigation bar, so the module has different ways to modify CyanogenMod. To use hideable navigation bar, you should open Settings->Buttons->Buttons and layout, click "EDIT" button, choose a navigation button which you want, and click "Hide Nav Bar".

For those guys whose phone unable to use the module, Send me your xposed log can help me solve the problem better.

Ah, this is great!

I'v seen this feature in the review of the Honor 7 and found it really cool, so thanks for the module ztc1997!
unfortunately, it caused constant SystemUI crashes on my Nexus 5 running Cataclysm ROM (which incorporates Navbar tweaks).
sorry, but I couldn't grab any logs

Great module - working fine on Nexus 5 running 5.1.1 stock.
Any plans on having your module and GravityBox Nav Bar tweaks working together? I use GravityBox to change the size of navbar, it would be awesome to be able to hide my navbar and still keep it small.
Thank you, nice job!

I am using LG g3 stock rooted Xposed v20p 5.0.0 lollipop and the module isn't working at all the small arrow dosent show and the module is obsolete

Works except swiping up doesnt bring navbar.

Awesome module!
Works ok on Nexus 5 on 5.1.1 LMY48I.
However I don't understand a thing:
I use it together with gravitybox and navbar stuff is changed, and it works with the module active (for example, the navbar is 80% tall). However, after hiding and swiping up, the bar is 100% tall like no gravitybox options were set. Why? can't you mantain the navbar properties and put them there again?
Edit: I noticed also that the "v" icon on the navbar interferes with all custom icons on navbar (not only gravitybox), pushing them to the right without reducing the distances between all of them to fit all them in screen like would be normal. Is this normal behaviour?
This module is cool but mostly everyone uses GB or navbar tweaks, so a bit of compatibility would be awesome!
Thanks a lot for the module!

SystemUI keeps crashing on Moto G 1st Gen. running SlimSaber.

There are problems with the fill color. Should the module FSCB.

Great mod, but it's not working perfectly on Nexus 5, Kitkat 4.4.2.

Great job. But also some problems on n5 4.4.2 with doubled icons and unable to tap Home sometimes.
Great work as always bud
Works great on stock LG G2. I did find a bug though. The soft keys stay on the screen if I pull down the notification panel. Interestingly, it's only the two middle soft key buttons.

Amazing module. One request, tho. Could you add the values from 0-499 in fade delay. I would like to set mine to 0.
in addition, I would like it if I can input the time for fade and fade time myself instead of having to scroll through all the numbers 1 by 1.

[MOD][Xposed] Xtended NavBar

Xtended NavBar
Xtended NavBar is an Xposed Framework module that adds an extra functionality to the navigation bar.
Swipe from the edges to change to Music player or Quick settings. Swipe back to show the navigation buttons again.
In the donate version you can also show favorite apps.
Playstore | Xposed Repo
Compatibility:
This module was developed for AOSP based roms. Don't expect it to work on heavily modified non AOSP based roms like Sense, Touchwiz.
Should be compatible with some other navigation bar customization modules.
It's recommended to do a nandroid backup if you're using the app for the first time.

Wow! really cool app! works well on my Moto G PA 4.4 RC2
I think a good idea for a panel would be a camera shutter button

I've got SlimRom nand backup too, I'll try it on there.
EDIT: Yeah, doesn't work on that either, I think both are based on CM11 though if that makes a difference. Also, I had changed the choice of navigation bar buttons, would that matter?]
I use menu, home, back and long pressing on back brings up recents.
If it helps, My face unlock also didn't show when I disabled the nav bar, when I enabled it again, back came the face unlock.
In other views...I wish xposed would go on the play store and have integration so your choice of modules could be saved under your google account.

You've done a better job than what I planned actually. I was going to have a button on the very left of the bar

[XPOSED] Android N-ify - Use features introduced in Android N on your LP+ Device!

Android N-ify - Use several features introduced in Android N on your Lollipop and Marshmallow device!
Your device doesn't get an update to Nougat or you are just too impatient to wait? Then this module is what you need! Android N-ify allows you to use many of those new fancy features on older devices.
Important: Read here about the future of the module!
Supported features:
New notifications and quick settings
New recents design
Settings tile summaries
Quick Switch (Double-tap recents to switch to last app)
Use recents button to navigate through recents
Planned features:
Updates & Improvements according to Nougat source
Quick reply [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots {NOTE: The apps actually have tu use Quick Reply. Even though it's implemented doesn't mean everp magically uses it})]
New QS animation [Progess: 95% (Available in snapshots)]
QS Editor [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
QS Pages [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
Emergency info on lockscreen [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
App install source in app info [Progess: 99% (Available in snapshots)]
Navigation draver in Settings [Progess: 50% (making it compatible with LP and other ROMs)]
Night mode
New crash message design
New app installer design
N easter egg
Yep, that will be a huge update when it's ready.
IMPOSSIBLE features (so far):
Multi-window (I'm not talking about enabling the M Multi-window, I'm talking about the true N one)
DPI selector
Data saver
Tall recents. We can make them wider, but not taller.
Features I'm not going to implement:
New navigation bar (Use the module Nougat Navigation Bar instead)
New Doze mode (my implementation would be basically the same as the ones in Greenify, ForceDoze, NapTime etc)

FAQ / Bugreport Guidelines

Feature xyz isn't working for me!!
Good to know that something is somewhat broken for someone. I'll fix it in no time because I know exactly which Android version you use, which ROM and most important what went wrong. Many thanks for you detailed bug report!
Now seriously, I get these types of reports way too often: When you report a bug, please first check the Github issues. If your issue isn' t reported there yet, open a new issue on Github and attach at least your Xposed log. Only post a logcat if an app (i.e. the SystemUI) crashes.
People seem to have features that I don't have in my version?
If that's the case then you are probably using an official version from the Xposed repository. These are considered stable and most features should work for everyone. If you want to have fun with the newest features have a look at the post above, there you can find snapshots that contain the newest chages.
Can you please add feature xyz?
First: I only add features taken from Nougat. If you want me to add something that isn't available on Nougat - No. This is no theming engine.
If your feature is taken from N, first have a look at the "Impossible" section above. If it isn't listed there - Great! It will be implemented at some point if I consider it possible / reasonable.
If you see another regulary asked question that isn't listed here yet please tell me.
The changelog can be found here: https://github.com/wasdennnoch/AndroidN-ify/blob/master/changelog.md
Snapshots:
Thanks to @paphonb and @Maxr1998 there will be a new build every time a new commit gets pushed to the open source repository. Note that you have to uninstall the official version before installing a snapshot and vice versa. You can find the newest preview builds here: https://paphonb.xyz/site/jenkins/job/AndroidN-ify/
These builds also contain experimental features, but you have to guess how to tap them - eh, unlock them.

Looks like your rom changed the layout of the settings tiles; I'll add an option for this in the next release.
Confirmed working on Xperia Z2 Official Marshmallow Beta
Note: Double tap to switch does not work for me
confirmed working on ResurrectionRemix v5.6.5 3/21 build (6.0.1_r22) on my nexus 6p.
the doubletap recents to switch to last app doesnt work guess due to the smartbar settings of the rom. i can set that action to doubletap there but i like long press recents better like i have it now anyway.
the settings subtitles work and are really neat. see attached screen. just not translated (yet) i possibly could help out with a german translation. just say yes ^^
guess u are working on a settings activity to turn features on and off, if not i would suggest that
nice project to bring N-like feeling to unsupported devices.
didnt bother to mess with multirom and the N beta for my phone yet ^^ cant wait for the new features. planned list looks nice.
Cool!
It works fine on my cm12.1, hope add more N features.
Cheers

Hi there! The settings dashboard subtitles indeed work great (OnePlus One, CM13)!
The double-tap to switch apps, like a long press does currently, doesn't work. And I do use a navigation bar, so I have a recents key.

Double-tap recents to switch to last app doesn't work on my device ( or maybe because of I'm using GB module here and there is a incompatible between them?)
Anyway another utility module here, also the planned features are awesome, really look forward to see future updates.

[Mod][Xposed] Google Search Bar Destroyer

Here's a quick Xposed module I whipped up to get rid of that unsightly Google Search Bar on the homescreen. I use a very generic hook point, so the search bar may also disappear in Google Now among many other possible places. I purposely do this for longevity of the patch (only one update since Sept '15). Thanks to theknut/GEL's Xposed module for providing some early hints on hook points.
(This module is not specific to the Axon, but it is my current device for testing)

Thanks to theknut/GEL's Xposed module for providing some early hints on hook points.
(This module is not specific to the Axon, but it is my current device for testing)

Does it make the space usable also? In Google now launcher, when removing the search bar, does the space become usable?
Thanks

I'm not sure that you can reclaim that space, as the Remove/Uninstall drop-shortcuts are there as well.

Just installed the module yesterday, I can't use that space (as jeboo said, the remove/uninstall-icons are there). I'm using a Aquaris X5 Plus, Android 6.0.1.
But, hey, that ugly search bar is..."destroyed"! ...wonderful!
Thank you jeboo (and also to theknut, even if XGels can't hide the bar within the latest Search version)!

This module is amazing. Take my money.
I would like to support development to see the space where the search bar used to be as usable space where widgets and icons can now be placed.

I think it'll go away if you just delete velvet from priv-app.
I got rid of it somehow but I dont remember exactly how.

It's hard to say what the conflict could be without more information. Do they modify any Google apks as part of their mods? I've not heard any other bug reports, of course I'm only testing on the ZTE Axon 7 and Moto X Pure.
Do people have this working on Oreo 8.1? I'm on a Google PixleI 2 and can't get it to work. Other Xposed applications are working just fine.
Any ideas?

Potentially stupid question, but why not just use another launcher? Nova Launcher let's you remove the search bar, in addition to adding about a million other features.
Certainly not a stupid option. I was using Nova on my Pixel 1 when I didn't have Xposed. I'll most likely go back to that solution.

I'll take a look once the axon7 Oreo build is released.
Any updates on this? I'm also on a Pixel 2 XL and the xposed module doesn't work. I'm also running oreo 8.1.
Thank you

I was hoping Oreo would be out by now. If I get a chance to flash an unofficial build, maybe I can update the module before the official release.
That would be so awesome! Thanks.

So, the module has been downloaded 47 times , anyone to give a feedback? Which device are you using, does it works with another android version (this should from Jelly Bean to Oreo)?
Thanks
Thank you for the great Modul, works perfectly on Samsung Note 8 Oreo 8.0. Xposed is not needed, only root.
It's not in my List
Sent from my SM-N950F using XDA Labs
But works

Thanks for the feedback  ! As I said on the Xposed page, Xposed is indeed not really needed but root is, it don't need to be activated or reboot juste download grant root access and here you go :good:
Delete dalvik and cache is absolutely necessary, otherwise bootloop.
Tested on S8 Plus with Renovate and Note 8 Dr. Ketan ROM

But that's not an Xposed modul, it's a root app. Xposed is the wrong place.

Mhmm strange issue? Tested it on My Xperia XZ1 8.0 And AOSP almost Stock Rom on my girlfriend's S8 too, no bootloop problem, even without deleting dalvik, are you really sure this isn't coming from another module?
Thanks to report either way :good:
During afternoon, I'll upload the source code to my github and provide a link to it right here, you'll see there's nothing really special, it my opinion, it may conflict with Custom Rom may be, but AOSP or AOSP Close Rom don't really conflict I guess (My XZ1 And my Girlfriend's S8 Are Stock)
We don't really know if the bootloop comes from this module or another, or even this module on a custom ROM
Need more feedback but for the time being be careful if you use a custom Rom.
AOSP or Close AOSP are safe I can comfirm it
Has anyone knows how to disable immesrsive mode system-wide (navigation bar ALWAYS visible) ? I want to make navbar always visible, in other words prevent it from hiding. Some apps autohides navigation bar which is very annoying, especially when app not responding and you want to close it with long press back button or just want to switch to another app.

Hi, this application has a function that hides status bar and displays nav bar, if you're root just give it a try, your feedback is welcome
Just make sure you're not using a Heavely modified custom ROM, for the time being I'm not sur if it causes bootloop but I préfère you not to risk it

Well, unfortunatelly most of newer games are hiding navbar. Also some emulators like Fpse or SuperRetro16. I have Moto Z2 Play and I'm on Nougat 7.1.1.
With screen ratio 18:9, we still have black space at the top and the bottom right?

With My Note 8 it goes to fullscreen if you hide both bars! Guess it depends on the app and if it does support said DPI
OnePlus 5T oxygen 5.0.3 Oreo 8.0, 8gb, Xposed via Magisk.
Many thanks for the module, I'm experiencing the issue of auto disable the functionality every time the screen goes off, so when I unlock it or simply goes on I've to restart the hiding functionality.
Annoying
Here working perfect , thanks

When rebooting device it's absolutely normal to restart the app, didn't found a way yet to force immersive mode once and for all, and I don't wanna try it right now because it's directly the system who's involved, I need more practice to find a way
Now, the fact that everytime you lock your device you have to restart DeepScreen, that's pretty strange and I didn't experienced it on my phone nor my GF's, does Oxygen is a Custom Rom? Your device has been heavely modified?
