So, the module has been downloaded 47 times , anyone to give a feedback? Which device are you using, does it works with another android version (this should from Jelly Bean to Oreo)?
Thanks

Thank you for the great Modul, works perfectly on Samsung Note 8 Oreo 8.0. Xposed is not needed, only root.
It's not in my List
Sent from my SM-N950F using XDA Labs

But works
Sent from my SM-N950F using XDA Labs

Thanks for the feedback  ! As I said on the Xposed page, Xposed is indeed not really needed but root is, it don't need to be activated or reboot juste download grant root access and here you go :good:

Delete dalvik and cache is absolutely necessary, otherwise bootloop.
Tested on S8 Plus with Renovate and Note 8 Dr. Ketan ROM

But that's not an Xposed modul, it's a root app. Xposed is the wrong place.
Sent from my SM-G955F using XDA Labs

Mhmm strange issue? Tested it on My Xperia XZ1 8.0 And AOSP almost Stock Rom on my girlfriend's S8 too, no bootloop problem, even without deleting dalvik, are you really sure this isn't coming from another module?
Thanks to report either way :good:

During afternoon, I'll upload the source code to my github and provide a link to it right here, you'll see there's nothing really special, it my opinion, it may conflict with Custom Rom may be, but AOSP or AOSP Close Rom don't really conflict I guess (My XZ1 And my Girlfriend's S8 Are Stock)
We don't really know if the bootloop comes from this module or another, or even this module on a custom ROM
Need more feedback but for the time being be careful if you use a custom Rom.
AOSP or Close AOSP are safe I can comfirm it

Has anyone knows how to disable immesrsive mode system-wide (navigation bar ALWAYS visible) ? I want to make navbar always visible, in other words prevent it from hiding. Some apps autohides navigation bar which is very annoying, especially when app not responding and you want to close it with long press back button or just want to switch to another app.

Hi, this application has a function that hides status bar and displays nav bar, if you're root just give it a try, your feedback is welcome
Just make sure you're not using a Heavely modified custom ROM, for the time being I'm not sur if it causes bootloop but I préfère you not to risk it

Well, unfortunatelly most of newer games are hiding navbar. Also some emulators like Fpse or SuperRetro16. I have Moto Z2 Play and I'm on Nougat 7.1.1.

With screen ratio 18:9, we still have black space at the top and the bottom right?

With My Note 8 it goes to fullscreen if you hide both bars! Guess it depends on the app and if it does support said DPI

OnePlus 5T oxygen 5.0.3 Oreo 8.0, 8gb, Xposed via Magisk.
Many thanks for the module, I'm experiencing the issue of auto disable the functionality every time the screen goes off, so when I unlock it or simply goes on I've to restart the hiding functionality.
Annoying

Here working perfect , thanks

When rebooting device it's absolutely normal to restart the app, didn't found a way yet to force immersive mode once and for all, and I don't wanna try it right now because it's directly the system who's involved, I need more practice to find a way
Now, the fact that everytime you lock your device you have to restart DeepScreen, that's pretty strange and I didn't experienced it on my phone nor my GF's, does Oxygen is a Custom Rom? Your device has been heavely modified?

[XPOSDE MODULE] 3dot menu mod

*** This mod is designed for device / rom that didn't have a onscreen navbar (i.e.: samsung rom) ***
If your rom already have a navbar, you should already have 3dot menu enabled and enabling this mod will only hide your navbar!
This mod will enable 3dot menu button in all application (using a 0 height navbar), enjoy!
Side effects:
Samsung use fixed layout for their apps, and when a navbar is enabled we got unexpected results, can't do nothing about this... (see screenshot)
after enebling the mod screenshot combination change to AOSP style: Power+MenuDown
Read here for more info about 3dot menus: http://android-developers.blogspot.it/2012/01/say-goodbye-to-menu-button.html

So will this overlap applications and sit on top of them?
No, it's a guideline suggested since android 3.0 honeycomb, so the app had to support it.

Your package will not install from the xposed installer...claims: Package name is incorrect. Downloaded it.tnx.xposednavbarmod Expected it.tnx.xposednavAbarmod
Really wanted to use this, but when I enable it and reboot, I repeatedly get the error message "Unfortunately, SystemUI has stopped". The taskbar does not load and my phone is extremely slow.
I'm running stock rooted VZW SGS4.

Major issue with Samsung rom (s3).
Recent apps menu does not show ( long press menu). Also the contacts (phone app) are overlapped by the menu button, cannot see the first contact.
Canot take screenshots either...
Otherwise, great idea and app.

Would it be practical to include a 'blacklist' feature which could be used to exclude apps like the Samsung ones which cause a problem with the screen layout?

I love it.... thanks for this great hack
Have same long press issues as well for recent apps. Have tried several ROMs for the T-Mobile S3 T999, all running 4.1.x Touchwiz base (need WiFi calling).
Long press opens Google voice search or s-voice depending on install

Process Android Core UI stopped working?!

Hey guys,
As my title says, I keep getting that message quite often! Sometimes 2 times a day and it messes my wallpaper up. When I hit the recents menu and clear it enough times, the UI "reboots" or redraws itself and I have to enter my knockcode (using Xposed) and reset my wallpaper. Anyone here know what could be causing this? I can provide a list of Xposed modules that I use if that might be the case. I also use Nova prime (latest version).
Please can someone help pinpoint this problem or message me if you have found a solution? It annoys me to no end!
Thanks!

Hey! Yeah I use the following modules:
20MP superior auto
Advanced power menu
App settings
Gesture navigation
Gravity Box
Holo themer
Keepchat
Knock code (have a feeling its this one)
Snapchat full caption
Snapshare
Xperia Xposed (KK)
Xposed DTN Disabler
YouTube adaway
I also use Adaway itself and have an Android L theme (from the cross development section)
If I had to guess, I would put it down to either knockcode, App settings or Xperia Xposed (KK) or MAYBEA gravity box!
What do you use?

I have the following matching ones...
20MP superior auto *
App settings
Keepchat *
Knock code
Snapchat full caption *
Snapshare *
Xperia Xposed (KK)

But the ones marked * I installed since having the error message so probably not them. Also I did disable Xperia Xposed for a few days to see if it was this and still got error.
I'm going to back your choice that it's the Knock Code module. I'll disable for a few days and see how it goes.

Yeah I do get the feeling it's knockcode but I've just had the message come up now when I hit the recents menu and I was already using the phone. Do you think it could be the xperia Xposed (KK) module? I'm not even sure what the hell I'm using it for to be honest.
Let me know your findings on knock code. If it is that, I'll be sure to disable it and report the bug to the developer or to the dedicated thread on XDA.

If I had to put it down to something I would say Gravity box or Xposed xperia although at this point it could be anything! I'm running catlog in the back as often as I can in order to catch the process actually stopping. Think this will pinpoint what causes it?

Could potentially be it! I had the nav bar tweak on where my navbar was a different colour. The process only stops working when I hit the recents menu so it might be that the UI isn't refreshing properly or something. I've disabled it anyway, let's see how that goes.

I did try with that mod off but I'm going to uninstall for a bit and see what happens.
I've tried taking gravity box off and uninstalled it too but the process still stops although the wallpaper doesn't mess up anymore. The ui just redraws and takes me to my lock screen (knockcode) which I then enter and everything is fine. I have a feeling it may actually be knockcode. Might turn that off now and see what happens.

This is the correct answer. Since I last posted, I had turned off Knock code and that is exactly what was causing the process to end. I now have a pin entry and so far I have had no problems with the wallpaper corrupting or the android.core.UI process not working. I hope this helps anyone else who has this problem; turn knock code OFF if it happens to you. :highfive:
Reflashed phone a few weeks ago and stopped using Knock Code mod then. Not had the error since so yep it's definitely that. Shame as I really like the mode

(ROOT) Disable Navbar

Hey, since I bought my Pixel 2 Xl, I saw on videos those nav bar burn in and so I've tried both immersive and Tulsadiver Mod, Navbar Gone with Swipe Navigation with Edge Gesture. Immersive is good but it doesn't get rid of the nav bar completely and everytime I Swipe up Navbar gets up so i discarded the Immersive mode.
Then i tried Navbar gone, it worked great until some apps like Google photos crashed randomly. I checked if it was anything installed on my phone but i did a factory image reset and install just Magisk and the mod and it when crashing again.
Looking at my old devices (Nexus 5) and tried to use what i did use back in the day to remove my navbar to use pie and boom! It worked flawless and no crashing with any app. Obviously you need ROOT.
I only tested on stock ROM**
I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING YOU DO WRONG, ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR DATA
REMEMBER TO DOWNLOAD SOME NAVIGATION APP BEFORE DOING THIS.
[YOU NEED ROOT]
1.Download a Build.Promp Editor /I used https://goo.gl/jXvZSu
2. Grant root access and press the edit button
3. Go to the last line press enter (Wich will create a new line)
4. Add this on a new line: "qemu.hw.mainkeys = 1" (without the quotes)
5. Save and reboot.
I'd hope I've helped someone
This isn't really new but I'm sure your post will be helpful to some, nonetheless.
One thing I want to stress is that it is crucial to download and setup an app like Pie Control (Play Store link), Unique Controls (Play Store link), or Gesture Control (Play Store link) prior to disabling your nav bar. Otherwise you'll have no way to navigate around, making downloading and installing one of these nav bar apps after the fact, extremely difficult.

It should work on any ROM. I've personally used this method to disable nav bar on stock as well as Lineage OS, with no issues. Carbon should be fine too.
If you want to do this system-lessly, my magisk module does same thing.

You guys Dan also try the "custom navigation bar" app which will allow you to select invisible icons. Not a perfect solution but it works well.

To add my five cents:
Been using Fluid Navigation Gestures application for a while. With the last update before public release it became mature enough to recommend it.
You can disable navbar / it has various options. Try it: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fb.fluid

Thanks you for the tip! Works flawless and looks very nice
doesnt work!!
im on the latest version of stock pie, rooted with magisk.
This just doesnt work for me at all.
Ive tried using a build.prop editor
Ive tried adding it using adb shell, to see if it made a difference.
NOTHING WORKS!!
The magisk module doesnt work.
Any ideas as to why? I dont want to install another 3rd party app.
Ive always just added the build.prop setting, and used pie control from the play store.
HELP!!
(on a funnier note, i just realized that the last time i edited my profile i was using the HD2 as my daily driver)

I had found this sometime ago and couldnt find it again. just found and implemented it.
while this doesnt completely disable it, its definitely better than having the navbar always present. Works with Android P.
it also has instructions on how to hide the status bar, as well.

Works on Android 10! Thanx!

@Moriatier, you're back! After starting the world-famous V30 Frankenstein thread you just sort of disappeared!
I wrote up the instructions (later in the thread) but you were the one who really started the discussion.
You can use Substratum and even though it's made for Samsung devices, you can use the samsung system mods theme to change the nav bar height. I use it to set mine to zero so I can use gestures instead. But they have other height options in it. Probably best not to mess with any of the other parts in there though since it IS for Samsung devices. Although I got "more animation scales" in settings working too.

Although I got "more animation scales" in settings working too.

good to hear that. thanks
And after you've done the nav bar 0 what mod or Application you used for gestures?
The phone is working properly? Any bugs with gestures navigation?

In OnePlus Gestures
you used the option,,hide navbar,, or just from substrate module did you make navigation 0 and then use gestures.... I ask because my phone is not rooted, i do not have any backup and i do not want to brick my Lg v30.

I believe you can use substratum without root in Oreo. It's been a while but I think I was using it before rooting. It uses a systemless method. Substratum has a fail safe in it where If it detects a problem like system ui keeps force closing so many times, it will disable the overlays and set it back to normal. So there isn't too much of a risk. I got myself in some situations where I couldn't do anything and just got a bunch of force closes but Substratum took care of it. Never had an issue with the Navbar overlay though. If you ever want the navbar back, you just go into Substratum and disable the overlay and reboot.
I'm rooted but the reason I didn't use OnePlus Gestures built in nav bar hide is because it had some minor annoyances. Like when I would unlock my device, the navbar would show for a split second then disappear. So I just felt, for me, it was better to use substratum and get rid of it all together. Although, with this method, you can actually toggle it off and on real quick.

So I do not have to use Substratum samsung system mods? There is another overlay in substratum to hide nav bar? And then to use gesture app..?

Pixel Mods - Hide Apps from the Pixel Launcher! [XPOSED]

[XPOSED] PIXEL MODS
Pixel Mods is a new module that let you to finally tidy up your messy launcher with style! Long click on the home screen to access its main interface and you will be able to hide the apps you want to (3 apps can be hidden for free, then paying a small amount gives you access to everything).
It also has this functions:
- Enable debug flags in the launcher
All changes happens instantaneously, you won't even notice them!
You need to make a small in-app purchase to unlock all the functions.
FAQ:
Which Pixel Launcher versions are supported?
You can check in the changelog or directly by opening the main app interface. I won't post the list here because it would surely goes out of sync
What is Xposed, EdXposed and LSPosed? Which one should I use?
I strongly suggest to use LSPosed if you can. It is very well made and directly tested by me, if you have an old device you can use the original XPosed. EdXposed works too.
I beg you to accept my translation!
Sorry but I don't accept community translations anymore!
Available languages:
English
Italian
Screenshots:
You can find them on the store!
Known bugs:
Starting a search in some versions of the launcher brings up the app even if they are hidden. This happens because the search is managed by the Google app itself, I have yet to see if it is even humanly possible to prevent this.
Notes:
The app is also available on the old XPosed repo and the new LSPosed one.
Rootless pixel launcher is NOT supported, and never will be.
I want this feature and also that one! Sure please tell me about it. Anyway I won't give you any ETAs nor I am sure that what you ask will even be possible. I'm already digging to find some way to support icon packs but don't know if I will be able to.

Strange it is my device too! Moreover if it fails to add the menu should show you a notification to continue anyway
Troubleshooting:
- module enabled in lsposed? Pixel launcher selected as a target? Device rebooted?
- nothing works? Please disable all other modules, reboot and then see if it works. If not send me the Xposed logcat. I may also need the full logcat of the device (you can use logcat extreme from play store). PM me for these
Thank you

Hey man
Sorry for being a little impatient.
Somehow it worked the next day when I rebooted again.
Great work, Thank you so much.
Your mod helped me complete my pixel launcher customization.
Would like to see more features added in the future, like the ones in the 'pixel launcher mods' app for resizing widgets and changing icons. 'Pixel launcher mod' app is very buggy.
Thanks again!

Thank you don't worry. I will consider that too (i will look into that app I didn't know it exists) I'm currently working on a way to support custom icon packs, actually I don't know if I will be able to add support for these but let's cross the fingers!
Thank you
Excellent, it works as intended; no flaws. Some features I would like to see: hide icon labels on the home screen -normally, labels are hidden only in the bottom row-. More grid options for the home screen. And folders to have a solid icon instead of a preview of the icons inside of them. Thanks man and keep up the good work

Hi thank you for the support and the suggestions! Hide icon label seems a good idea and also an easy one I think I will add it shortly. For the other requests I need to dive deep in the code and this will take some time! I will keep you updated
the app appears to be incompatible with this version of the pixel launcher on beta 4 redfin managed to launch the main activity using activity launcher and tried disabling apps which didn't work.

Hi thank you for the feedback. I don't currently have any device to test on Android 12 so it is not supported as of now, anyway I will try to look it into and of you are available as a tester I can send you some apks to try out. PM me if you are interested
Thank you very much for that little but very helpful module. That is exactly what I was looking for my OnePlus 7 Pro with pixel experience Rom. I was disappointed that the pixel launcher doesn't offer such a functionality right out of the box. But one thing I noticed: Some apps (installed from the Playstore) aren't listed and therefore can't be hidden. In my case it is Call Recorder Unlock from Skvalex. It features an option to hide it's icon by itself but doesn't work in the pixel launcher. Pixel Mods doesn't show me the app (the Call Recorder itself can be selected, but not the license unlocker) in the list to hide.
I am using Pixel Launcher 825 (11) on OnePlus 7 Pro running Pixel Experience Plus 11.0-20210717-1555-0FFICIAL

Now comes to my mind what the problem is. See on Android 10+ it is not possible for apps to hide their icon from the drawer, so if you try to hide it with the call recorder itself it will effectively go away from pmods but not from the launcher. I will take a look at how I can workaround this problem, for now I suggest you too uninstall and reinstall the app and then DON'T use it's option to hide it but directly use pmods

That worked perfectly! Thanks for the quick solution. Yesterday I wrote a review in the Playstore but it seems like it wasn't published / deleted. It's definitely 5 stars worth.

It sounds like you have the same problem I had earlier with the license app. Does this app has a function to hide itself? Because if it can hide it's icon it will hide itself from pixel mods. See the devs answer:

Yeah it sound like this is the same exact problem, but this time the app probably hide itself by default thus making impossible to hide it with pmods. I still have to find a way to reliably fix this but I have some ideas. I hope being able to release an update this or the coming week

it hides from Pixel mods after First Launch of Main App, but If you hide it before it's Not showing up anymore
I get the following error: "This version of the application is not configured for billing through Google Play. Check the help centre for more information."
Edit: Reinstalled and it is now working.
