Anyone ever use Incipio Level 5 cases? - Samsung Galaxy S7 Accessories

I like the Defender I have, but it's got its downfalls like the screen protector (can be removed I know) and the inner shell squeaks due to the tabs always become slightly loose.
Anyways Incipo has the Level 5 case. It looks like harder material than the Defender and a built in screen protector.
It's not out yet but soon it will. Has anyone used it on a previous phone? They have a level 4 too. Is that any good? You have to buy a screen protector for it though and if it's really tight it might not work with tempered glass.

Been eying this one too.

The case has been released now. Has anyone purchased it? I wonder if it's worth the $50? Think it's as good as the Defender?

There's a whole section dedicated to accessories. Pretty much any thing you want for your GSII is in there somewhere.

i know, i already have a case but i am thinking of getting a smaller one, wanted to see what everyone elses view on it was!
I use a cover for my phone, the glass is Gorilla Glass so it should not scratch.
I am very happy with my case.
Yup

I use this case & it's been awesome.especially considering the price.
case makes the phone fat so no
TC tpu case, 3 bucks on Amazon, USB and headphone Jack holes trimmed wide to accommodate a variety of plugs. armorsuit screen protector (think that was about 3 bucks too). Had both since phone was a week old, roughly October 10 or so. Minimal increase in phone size, with decent protection. I work in construction, so naked isn't a safe option for my phone...

you can buy cases that are real slim and don't really add much to the phone. it still protects it. highly recommended!
I'm a huge fan of this. It's more expensive than a lot of cases, but you're buying two cases: a TPU (I think? some sort of rubberish material) skin, and a hard plastic shock-resistant outer shell. It also comes with two screen protectors, and has all of the cutouts (as well as incorporating dust covers for the speakers) for this phone. It's incredibly durable, and at $30 it's a pretty good value if you dig it.

Oh, and if you don't care for black, it comes in four other colors - which also determines the color of the underlying soft case.
I hate cases. Was shattering the glass on my previous iPhones constantly because of it and the fact that I am clumsy as sh$t. That being said I bought the case mate barely there case and it is great. I highly recommend it for being slim and protected. Really doesnt add bulk at all and have dropped this phone many times without a scratch. Good buy I suggest it for anyone who doesn't like bulky cases

I love Zagg's full body cases. If you don't want a bulky case zagg is the best cuz its really like a full body screen protector. They're expensive but they replace them without a problem if you have any problems
Otterbox can be a bit bulky, but it's tired and true (I'm using the Commuter version). I like having a phone with a bit more heft to it so I know nothing will happen when I inevitably drop it. Cut outs are pretty much perfect, with flaps to cover ports and keep out dust. Corners can attract lint, and my biggest gripe with it would be how hard it is to get on and off (it's a problem for taking out SIM card), but I never have cause to take it off very often anyway. I really like it thought, there's my 2 cents.
I'm using the otterbox commuter. I love it!!

I hate using a case but I rather have it on "just in case". I absolutly love the lightness and overall feel of the SGS2 naked
Wife and I are using the official galaxy s2 mesh case. Not much protection but the buttons aren't covered and it keeps the camera off the counter. All we really need with almost no bulk added

Do you use a case/ do you use a screen protector?

Well the title pretty much says it all, just a basic thread asking some basic questions.
1) Do you use a case?
- If so which one?
- how do you like it?
- are you considering something else?/ If so which one? and why?
- Does it make the phone feel bulky?
2) Do you use a screen protector
-if so which one?
-how do you like it?
-are you considering something else?/ If so which one? and why?
-If you do not use a screen protector have you had any issues with scratches?

1. Yep. Right now I have a TPU case but I'm looking at an Otterbox or something similar. Need to protect it better from work.
2. Oh heck yes. Despite being Gorilla Glass screen scratches still happen. I currently use a Zagg invisibleSHIELD. They have a life time guarantee and mild scratches tend to heal so you no longer see them. I won't be switching to another screen protector because these work so well.
1) Yes.
Had this one: Transparent Clear Protector Case Phone Cover For Verizon HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE. Fit well, appeared to be good quality, but was bulky and slippery.
Switched to this one: Fosmon S-Curve Soft Shell TPU Case for HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE - Black Like it much better. Fits well, Not at all bulky or slippery.
2) Also Yes
Have this one: GreatShield Ultra Smooth Clear Screen Protector. Very clear, but super fingerprinty. Will likely switch to something matte someday
I am currently using a TPU case, but I am waiting for Seidio to announce their surface case/belt clip combo for this phone; I've use the Seidio surface with all my previous phones.
I used to use a screen protector but stopped about a year ago.
i use the Trident Aegis case.
so far, I love it.
http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/htc-fireball-adr6410l/aegis-case-htc-fireball-adr6410l.aspx
Come with the screen protector that is pretty good quality. It is less bulky than the Ballistic case (which i also have).
Issues with the Trident are the headphone jack cutout is not wide enough in the direct of the front of the phone, needs to be filed out a bit and it's fine. The hard portion of the case is a little slippery, the guitar pick shaped area in the back is for the silicon to come through and give you non-slip when laying it on its back, this guitar pick area could be a little bigger or the hard part a less slippery material.
The colors don't seem to be quite as vivid as they look on the site, i got the blue, instead of being as bright as it is on the site, its more muted of a blue which is still nice, but not as nice.
The size to protection ration is perfect for me though. I wouldnt be afraid to drop it but can still use it as my everyday case. Also the silicon is a dust resistant one, Lint comes off very easy.
I was not happy with the ballistic due to its size and the silicon on it is a lint magnet. The ballistic corners on it while nice for grip, make getting it in/out of a pocket a pain. The hard shell on the ballistic has a much nicer feel though and is not slippery. The ballistic also does not come with a screen protector.
awesome, thanks for the answers guys!
guys it's my turn!
1) I use TPU black case from Verizon only when going on and I think I may need the extra protection.
I really like the fit of the TPU case it fits very snug, and the cut-outs for the power and the volume buttons make it a perfectly made cse + cheap. :good:
2) Un-characteristuic of me, but YES, I currently do have one on, my dad got the phone the same day and got a package, so I tossed one on.
but I took it off tonight.
don't need it TBH.
gorilla glass will scratch yes, but I'm very OCD lol.
I'm using the Incipio Feather, very nice on this phone. Seems better quality than the one I had on my Inc2.
Using some Verizon screen protectors because they were 10 bucks. Not too bad but they have camera and proximity sensor cutouts which I don't like, so I'll find some that cover the entire front.
Actually saw a very small scratch in the top right corner of the screen the first few days - decided it was worth peice of mind to spend $10 on a screen protector rather than find out gorrilla glass could scratch somewhere more irritating later. Picked up the verizon screen covers and the one on there seems to be holding up against scratches too. They don't cover the sensors/cam spots on the front as mentioned above but since those are over black areas scratches may not too bad (??)
I also tend to drop my phone every once in a while so I grabbed a cheap black/white TPU case off amazon (I think it was $15 with shipping) but the cut outs are too narrow and the volume rocker is really hard to push to activate. I'm waiting on Seidio to release an active case option and if they don't (or its not what I'm looking for) I'll probably go to incipio duo pro sycrillic's line.
I've just order the S-Curve TPU case and the Cruzerlite Androidified TPU case. Gotta see which one feels/fits better. Since the Inc4G isn't as wide as my Inc2, I think the added bulk won't be a problem. One question I have is about the TPU material sliding in and out of jeans pockets. Does it get stuck and pick up lint like the silicon case or is it fairly slick? Is it gonna be a battle royal every time I want to pull this thing out of my pocket?

It is easy to take out of pocket.

I've been liking my cheap TPU case, but completely agree about a Seidio case. I had one on my OG Droid and loved it... until it broke. Went case free after that.

No case yet but I do have an anti glare screen protector that also doenst really pick up fingerprints. I had an otterbox for my inc2 but stopped using it after a week or so. I'm not terribly rough on it at work and that made it way to big. I usually keep it in my pocket but will probably get one of those seido case/clip combo thing eventually

UAG vs Otterbox defender

I can't decide which case to go with. At first I thought it would definitely be the UAG. But now I'm not so sure. I've watched a couple videos of both, and the size difference isn't as big as I thought it would be. The note 3 defender looks somewhat slimmed down compared to past models. Price will be about the same since I will have to get a glass screen protector and holster if I go with UAG. What do you guys think? Those with the defender, is the phone pocketable? And how bad does the screen protector diminish the screen quality?

I just got Otterbox Defender yesterday fit good in my pockets. Built in screen protector im not liking to much it has a rainbow effect on my screen. I might just take it out.
I just bought my defender, and it's great!! They've definitely slimed down the case and I love it, would recommend it if I were you.

I love the new Defender case - seems less bulky, and better designed than the previous Note 2 Defender. The 'feel' is much nicer as well.
As for the built in screen protector, I carefully removed that from the Defender as soon as I un-boxed it. On my last Defender (for the Note 2), dust would get between the devices' screen and the plastic protector on the Defender, scratching/scuffing the built in plastic screen protector so much over time, it was nearly unusable in sunlight (too much glare).
I use an ILoome tempered glass protector instead, (also, the Defender case wouldn't close properly with the built in protector + the ILoome).
Cheers'
Dan
A friend of mine has the Defender on his Note 3 and it is slimmer than the past models I have seen. I plan on getting one whenever my local store has the "Glacier" ones in stock. I really like the UAG cases though. I'll probably get one of each just to switch between. I'm using a commuter at the moment on mine and I really like it. Otterbox cases have never failed me yet so it is usually the first thing I pick up when I get a new device.

Otterbox Defender for LG G3

So I got this for the LG G3 when I picked up the phone at the new Sprint store in my area. I have only had the phone a few hours, but here are some first impressions:
My last Otterbox was for the Palm Pre, and it was flimsy and I had to trade it in three times because the plastic clips kept breaking! Because of this, I was sort of turned off by the Otterbox brand, and I hadn't bought one since the Palm Pre days.
I decided to taker a chance any ways because I wanted rubberized corners on the case, and it is pretty good so far! It feels extremely sturdy and has a multi-part system to the case, which seems a LOT better than the protection Otterbox offered on the Palm Pre version (Palm Pre Tandem Case).
I am not a huge fan of the front plastic sheet on the case, however, as it can sort of distort the screen with a "rainbow effect" - which I assume is from the oil on my fingers. When the screen is at 60% or greater brightness, it is barely noticeable, though.
It is a chunky son-of-a-gun, however! It makes the phone feel even heavier and even more gigantic, which is really saying something for a behemoth like the G3. With the case, the phone easily feels two to four times heavier than my EVO 4G LTE with its off-brand rubberized case (I haven't actually weighed it, but the difference while holding each one is staggering!). If you are wanting to actually SEE the back/body of the phone, this isn't the case for you! I drop my phone a lot because I am a klutz, and this case makes me feel at ease with my butterfingers, so if you are overprotective of your phone, you might take a look at this.
It has little rubber flaps that go over each of the ports, which I guess makes it sort of water-resistant. There is still places for liquid and stuff to get in, so don't go dunking it in a glass of water or something stupid.
The rubberized feel to the case is good, and it isn't sliding all over the place.
Overall, it's great if you don't care about keeping the LG G3's aesthetics and are more concerned with preserving the screen and phone body, you might check it out. Be aware of the added bulk it adds to the phone!
It's not for everyone, but for what its designed for, I think it's a pretty good case. It comes with a belt holster as well, but I don't use it.
Just thought I would share this :highfive:
Thanks for the review. I picked up the case when I bought the phone. I find that I don't drop my phones often but when I do I tend to go for broke with damage. I've used Otterbox for a while. . I can confirm that this thing is a monster with the case on, which in its own way is reassuring, but not for everyone.
I can also confirm the rainbow effect you mentioned. It's generally not terribly noticeable.
The one issue I have with the screen protector on this case, and frankly some people will find it a deal-breaker is the fact that in at least one app touch sensitivity is off pretty badly. I first noticed it in Candy Crush when I would have to change phone orientation in order to swap candy pieces in game play. The phone wasn't recognizing my touch through the screen protector. Works great with the case off though. Ruins the game.
So far that's the only app I've noticed the issue with with this case. Let's hope it stays that way.

Good news, everyone!
It turns out you can remove the built-in screen protector from the case!
Take the case off, then you can push the screen protector out from the front. There's only a minor amount of glue holding the plastic screen cover in the case.
Once you pull it out, you can use the regular glass screen, or put a different screen protector on of your choice.
I am just using the case without the front panel now, and it works great! :good:
I had considered that but I've held off for now. I'm thinking about getting one of the glass screen protectors still haven't decided.

There are some iCarez tempered glass screen protectors on Amazon for like $8 that get really good reviews. I bought one but haven't received it yet.
I bought the defender with the phone. Don't mind the bulk had the same case on my s5 I need it for work, once I'm able to go back after breaking tibia and fibula and fracturing my ankle. However I did notice some screen touch issues with the case that I don't have now that I got my spigen slim armor. Once my tempered glass gets in I'll peel out the crappy plastic One and see how that works.

OtterBox Defender Series Case
iCarez Tempered Glass .3mm
Total cost about 55$
Gotta say, this case is pretty good, Touch capabilities even with the thick glass have not diminished. The case, as with all otterbox I have owned, is well built and easily withstands drops. I did as the poster above suggested and tore out the crap plastic and put the glass in place. It actually seals up perfect in the box. Overall I give this combo 9 / 10. Only because the case is obviously bulky making the already phablet like G3 even more bulky.

Are these Defender look a likes any good?

I've seen these before. Apparently made in China they're basically Defender knockoffs but look to the exact as a Otterbox except for the stupid belt clip which hardly anyone uses. Anyone try these before? It looks like they're either made in the same factory as the Defender or an exact clone. Everything looks the same as my Defender for S7. Worth trying to see if the screen protector is better than the Defender?

No ! Get the Lovemei with built in Gorilla Glass.
I ordered one a few days ago from Amazon along with a cheap tempered glass screen protector that will be here tomorrow. J. Williams has the Note 5 one and it is very similar he claims to Otterbox. A customer at my work a few months ago had one on their Iphone 6plus and said it was the same as Otterbox. I figured if the screen protector is crappy on this then I'll just rip it out and used the tempered glass on it that way I don't ruin my otterbox.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tI1xiRTTHcU
Update on the case. The material is very similar to the Defender. Also the inner shell has a tighter fit so it doesn't creak, and the protector is a lot better than the Otterbox. It fits a lot tighter to the screen and is more responsive. For the negatives the port covers are a bit more flimsy and they're hard to push in as they're cut slightly wide so you have to use some force and the shell the edges are a bit rougher, sharper than the defender because not quite as precise.
Overall for $17 it's a very good case otherwise. Personally I will probably go back to my Defender but this is a good case for the price and if you don't want to pay otterbox prices I say go for it.
I don't get it how all these generic companies like Supcase, generic otterbox cases all have screen protectors that fit more flush and are more responsive and Otterbox has a garbage screen protector despite costing more.

That looks like it would be similar to an Incipio Dual Pro. Doesn't look bad though but doesn't look it would offer the same protection as a Defender.
I need a hip / belt holster for my new S7 Active with the defender case. Can any one suggest a holster that will fit with the defender on the phone. I need a very touch case. I work outdoors alot.
