[Q] Samsung Galaxy S2 - replace motherboard

Hi all
I am considering buying a Galaxy S2 i9100 mobile phone with a broken LCD display, however the motherboard is fine.
Unfortunately my Galaxy S2 has been dropped in water so the motherboard is damaged.
My question is. The phone I would like to buy is with 16 Mb internal memory and my own has 32 Mb of memory. Can you simply switch motherboard without problems ?
Best Regards
Hans-Henrik
1 - it's Gb not Mb
2 - isn't it cheaper to buy new motherboard (50-100 $), than buying a "new" (old s2) even if its only with cracked screen, for which you will pay same price??
expensive
these parts are expensive than a new device.consider to buy a new mobile.

Nexus 9 Wifi and Nexus 9 LTE ... Do they have the same Screen replacement part ?

Hello Folks,
I had a Nexus 9 wifi 16GB version ... its a very clean device which i got for a steal deal ... as it had only 16GB storage, i was on a constant lookout for a 32GB Motherboard/screen damage device at a good deal.
I finally came across one such listing which read as a 32GB wifi Nexus 9(with a stained screen, but fully functional), i went ahead and bought it, upon receiving it, the device turned out to be a Nexus 9 LTE 32GB device ...
This is when my Motherboard swapping plans hit a dead end ... Now i have the following options / questions.
Options
1. Use the LTE tab with the stained screen as a simple motherboard
2. Swap the LCDTouchscreen instead of the motherboard as a motherboard sway isn't an option anymore given the LTE version's motherboard obviously will not fit into a Nexus 9 wifi chassis.
to attempt the second option i need the following questions answered ... i am counting on the community to help me cross this bridge ...
1. Are the LCD/Touchscreen assembly the same for a wifi-only and an LTE device ?
2. Both the devices are pretty well maintained and the screen is flush and neat, I read through the ifixit teardown for this device and found that its quite a challenge to replace the LCD/touchscreen assembly, will it be a swap worth attempting ?
thanks in advance.
