Paranoid Android 2016 - OnePlus 2 General

Gyus, a new ROM for our device appeared, AOSPA is BACK!
This was taken form their Google+ profile page.
"We are launching brand spanking fresh. All new features. New team members. New everything and we have made sure that everything that we are releasing has been polished to our best.
The main features and enhancements that you will probably end up noticing are our custom Quick Settings tile reordering functionality, floating window support, immersive mode, the new on-the-spot interface and CM Theme Engine.
Quick Settings tiles can be managed with ease - you can reorder the tiles by simply long pressing them, remove them by dropping them in the trash bin and add them back in from the add panel. The hidden tiles will be out of your way when checking the notifications but will still be usable from the add panel without any hassles if you want to do that all of a sudden.
You can make an application float either by long pressing a notification and tapping the floating button or by tapping the floating button for the application in the recents list. Additionally, you can make peeking (heads-up) notifications open floating windows by enabling that behavior in the "Floating peek" tile.
Those are not the only changes and features we have added. There are a variety of improvements to CAF devices (OnePlus, OPPO and others) which add custom kernels, advanced gesture and buttons control and more to provide a great experience on those devices. Of course we have spent a lot of attention on making all the visual details look right and on making all the functionality work right.
Over the months we have gained a bunch of new team members. We are now ready for all varieties of work - be it low level, aesthetics, user experience, motion design, testing or anything in-between. What we strive for is the best and we are stronger than ever to reach that.
On Paranoid Android 2016 launch we are supporting popular Nexus devices (6P, 5X, 6, 5, 4, 7 2013, 9) and the OnePlus family (One, 2, X) along with some Sony devices. The lineup is this way to make sure we release the best possible experience on all the devices we release for. No compromises, pure greatness.
We highly recommend everyone to use OpenGapps full version (do not use stock). Nexus 6P users need to make sure their vendor partitions are up-to-date (6.0.1). Our Nexus 5X builds come with a prebuilt vendor image so no worries for you folks!
There is more to come in #aospa2016 but for now, grab your builds at http://get.aospa.co/ and #stayparanoid!"

UPDATE:
"We highly recommend everyone to use BANKS GApps package (hold off on OpenGapps for now, we have heard some complaints)."

cool

Paranoid remember me old times, one of the best roms, I go test son. Thanks

Doesn't seem to work, at least with MM firmware, bootloops when starting boot animation.
EDIT: Fixed. Paranoid android attempts to backup and replace system apps from your current rom, maybe due to exposed or previous rom apps incompatibilities, these system apps were causing the bootloops. Formatting /system partition with TWRP before flashing the rom solved.

I get stuck on boot logo, flashed zip and opengapps full. What am I doing wrong?

coming from temasek and stuck at boot logo. anyone know if we need to flash stock rom first?

Use twrp 3.0.2-0, I went from oos 3.0.2, to PA and back no issues, rom is lightning fast only thing I didn't like was not being able to use capacitive keys to turn screen off

Thanks for that, I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working for some people as I always format system before flashing. Here are some screenshots.

It's very stable, for me theme manager is force closing, it could be due to my DPI change though.
They have made changes to the ramdisk, custom kernels aren't working

Flashing this now. Thanks!
Running right now. So far it runs excellently. I was running the Vanir build prior to flashing this one but am noticing better performance and stability out of this one. Great work!
One question I did have out of curiosity was whether or not anyone has found a way to use CM11 themes or icon packs on these Lollipop builds for the G3?

Just released. Just try flashing it yourself to find out, or wait before flashing to let others report back in.
Same data bug..needing to use killall rild ... Was great until first reboot to update su..then data went dead. Nav icon says as well.. Camera works but video fc upon stopping..etc, etc , etc
Does seem a little more polished up with some added features though...
Lovely.. Thank you

Gps works. Not sure about teethering
Every song I attempt to play I get a "DSP has stopped working" song still plays fine though.. Not sure why, I have wiped cache and dalvik. still get the error.
Everything else seems to be working properly! Great ROM, also the data bug is still there, but that's across all 5.0 G3 roms right now. Nice to have the new 5.0.1 Lollipop :good:
I don't know if I could ever go back to 4.4.4; loving this 5.0 way too much!!!
lollipop
For the most part. Most 5.0 builds are running good.. Small minor bugs, no big deal however, being there fact that they're so new they are too close to stock for my liking. I love being able to customize so I stick with all the 4.4.4 kk builds for now. Love testing these new ones. Looking forward to something more custom and less stock. We all know that won't be long.. Keep up the hard work. OAAdam11. You're a beast... How is aicp 4.4.4 kk coming along?

I will try this as soon it is stable enough. I was stoked about the performance of vanir ROMS back on the days when I used my Galaxy Nexus.
issue?
Perhaps this is a common issue, didn't seem to find it though.
This ROM installs OnePlusControl (app) on the phone, though if I use it to switch the layout of the hardware buttons (I need this!), the setting just switched back.
Am I doing anything wrong? I flashed this ROM, flashed GAPPS nano. Oneplus X is the device.
The OnePlusControl app shows the following settings:
1: Swap Butttons (Swap the order of recent and back buttons) <----- On by default, I want this off. The left button should be recent and right should be back.
2: Notification Slider settings (not important for this issue)
I would like to hear from someone if they experience the same problem or rather, have already found a solution
Thanks in advance.

The Rom works perfectly on my phone.
I have used this ROM for 2 weeks now and I have no complaints.
Waze (navigational app) crashes as soon as it knows or tries to get my location, but I just use Google Maps instead now.
Thank you for posting this great ROM.

not yet, not sure what theme engine they plan to implement (if any)
EDIT: ive been using this rom for a day now but sadly just realized video playback is buggy. I'll be working on finding a fix for the rest of tonight and tomorrow, hopefully I can get it fixed ASAP. If anybody would like to help you could send me a logcat while trying to play a video in any app where video doesn't play.
If I'm not mistaken, when I was on Carbon for the m8 they were using Layers before the Substratum change. I've downloaded the ROM here, but I'll wait til you get the fixes.

SuperSU works fine, I personally restored all my apps with it
But yea something went wrong with the build and audio/video doesn't work. My assumption is its because I used CM device sources (obviously modified them to get the build booting) for an aosp ROM. I've spent the whole night night cherry-picking various commits trying to get it fixed but so far no luck, right now I'm starting from scratch with Omni's angler sources (which are aosp) so hopefully this works.

Hmm, I just plugged in some earbuds, and, well, they don't work!
Is this a problem with the rom or a firmware issue ( similar to the RR and LOS )?
Funnily enough twitch stutters like crazy with earbuds in, but works fine without.
Edit: I can confirm that flashing new firmware fixed my problem. See RR thread.

I noticed that my wifi connection is WAY more stable after flashing that DEV China Modem Firmware and the build overall is more smooth ? Or it's my imagination
IF you want to update to latest RRemix, you need to download that China Dev from the google link, install it normally via TWRP, wipe cache and dalvik cache (safe way) and boot the phone, after that i restarted again in TWRP and installed latest RRemix rom and all GOOD (these steps worked for me in the 1st try)

Thank you so much. I love your roms, have been using different iterations of nexus experience for several years now and it is very beautiful and smooth on our Natrium.
Again, much appreciated. Can I ask why this thread is in the News & Discussion section and not officially under the the Development threads? It is as solid and stable ( for me at least) as RR or LOS. Just wondering...
Tnx and, very much looking forward to next version with substratum etc.
Cheers,
gs

Jes please create a official Thread.
When using LOS and RR, my camera app crashes every time I switched to front camera , and I could not find OTG devices using LOS. On the other hand, MIUI roms suck in getting GPS signals. Can any one tell me if this is the cure for all those problems?
When official thread? This ROM is awesome
it is excellent rom ,power and fast

Excellent Rom. To stay perfect, just adjust the sensors. Because the two touches on the screen is not working and the device is activated when you have it in your pocket.
Great rom, everything works and GPS is really fast
Still rocking this ROM, works pretty well.
Had just one freeze last month, which I think is fair given the release status of the kernels and roms.

Not really sure how to answer this.
To my experience, impeccable, but then again, I don't install very power consuming apps (facebook) or use data.
Phone lasts a day or three or four without doing much I think.
And without doing much, that means running sleep at night, whatsapp in the background and occasionally replying to friends when I'm in bed or consulting websites when watching streams on my tablet.

Why is this for the Nexus 6P when the 6P only has 3GB of RAM and a SnapDragon 810 (Predecessor to the SnapDragon 820 for those that didn't know)? It doesn't meat your requirements so I'm confused.

The patch does work on Nexus 6P but I'm still testing that's why I hadn't released yet

You can keep the sarcasm and snarky comments to yourself - I only asked why this was for our phone if it doesn't even meet your minimum requirements. Just a curious question, nothing more.

I'll give it a swing. I'll dig through the zip first to see what does what, and what goes where before doing something. Gotta know what might break or bootloop before selecting it, lol.

Looking into the zip, I don't think there's really anything that can boot loop you. It's more on the side of adding things and not touching system files. I haven't looked at the patch part of it since I'm not using my computer right now, but you should be good to flash and mess around.
