Adoptable storage feature coming to MIUI8? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

One of the features in Android 6.0 Marshmallow that hasn't gained many headlines is called flex storage or adoptable storage.
This will allow you to use external storage on your device as internal storage. - So you can buy a more affordable device with low internal storage and boost it cheaply by adding a microSD card.
Since MIUI7 totally block moving apps to SD card, will MIUI8 have this new feature?

[Q][MM+] Adoptable Storage

As all we know, android 6.0 has introduced a new feature called "Adoptable Storage", wich can let you mount your fast enough SD card as an internal storage. I think that's quite easy to use and understand for a normal android user which wont go through flashing. But the problem is I love flashing rom or patches that requires access to either storage in custom recovery ( TWRP 3.0.0-2 ). But according to my experience, when I mount SD card as internal storage, I cannot manage files on the internal storage anymore but I also cannot access to the SD card in TWRP!
My question here is, is this symtom normal or I have screwed up something I dont know?
It is normal for sony devices. On samsung phones(Maybe even others) it gets recognised as adoptable storage in TWRP. Why do you want to use adoptable stoage? Its realy buggy

Adoptive Storage Questions ?

So i picked up an LG G5 and used the adb shell method to enable Adoptive Storage and noticed if i click on an app's info under storage i can switch between Internal/external is this a normal option within Adoptive Storage as i thought it just used/see's it all as one storage unit ?
I can see that the apps ive download most are automatically put on the external SD card so what will happen when the external SD Card is full does Adoptive Storage just start using the internal ?
Also what will happen say when the next OS update comes through Android 7.0 Nougat will this remain intact after the update ?

Setting up adoptable storage

Hi, I have LG K8 running MM 6.0 and free memory is geting low.
I wanted to setup adoptable storage (I have 16 GB SD card) but I found out that LG didn't implement that option. So, I have two questions:
Can I setup adoptable storage through the ADB even if system doesn't have that option implemented?
If I setup adoptable storage wll I have more space for installing apps or I could use it just for media?

nougat roms and choice between expanded memory and secondary memory

Okay, I know the differences between setting up the SD card as either expanded usable memory and secondary storage. I know people will have different opinions on this as well. I'm currently using RR and have my 128gb sd card set up to be used as main memory with the memory built into the Redmi Note 4x. It's encrypted so if I want to flash a newer version of the rom I believe I can do it from an OTG flash drive in TWRP (correct me if I'm wrong.)
I'm new to nougat so it looks like if I wanted to switch to using the sd card as secondary I can still move the apps and files in the app's properties in the storage area. Is that correct? I just have lots of apps installed that would take over the 32gb of internal storage. On older phones I've used Link2sd and foldermount to move items and data over to the SD card.
What's the best solution on Nougat without having to use the memory as expanded primary memory?
Thanks in advance.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A - internal storage - to root or not to root?

I have a stock Galaxy Tab A - SM-P580 - 16GB. I am using a 200GB SD card. I am running up against the wonderful internal storage issue. I have less than 1GB of free internal storage. It says I have 7GB in Apps. I assume the rest of the storage is being used by the Android OS. I would like to move a pile of this to the SD card but am not being allowed to. I have read about using various mods that will allow me to use the SD card (partial or fully) as internal storage and I have read pros and cons regarding doing that. I need to do something so I am asking: what is the best path to take here? Caveat: This excludes buying a new tablet with more internal memory. Thank you all!
