What is XOSP and how was it born?
XOSP basically which stands for the Xperia Open Source Project was a project originally created by me for the Galaxy S+ (my old device) and the project was created like 2 years ago when that time XOSP wasn't even existing. It was just S+ Reborn. The main idea was to create a custom minimal Xperia based ROM, by including the essential things which a user would normal use from a ROM.
The S+ Reborn became to be a big success because it was eventually ported on different Xperia Phones and some other Samsung devices and from there the XOSP project was founded. From the XOSP Project also the Reborn addons were created featuring with an Aroma Installer. I worked on the project for 2 years by trying always to improve it constantly, eventually for the fact that LP on my Galaxy S+ became to be quite buggy i decided to stop the development and for about half of year the project was left in stanby till i decided to bring it back again on the Zenfone 2 devices. The ROM will now also feature a White Indigo theme for all the ROM (framework, Settings and so on) and of course the newest Xperia Applications ported from the SystemDumps provided by the Sony community.
The project started growing again so with the Release 4 the project will be completely refactored to XOSP.
Revisions and Releases
I've got a different type of releasing, i will not provide weekly builds but just let me show you how the revisions and release type works: The revisions refers like to a sort of Nightly thing i mean the changes included in the ROM are small not as a Release one. All the releases got 5 revisions. So the Release is something even bigger right? Hell yeah! When a new Release is released expect many improvements or new features

One more
nice rom. im interested in an stable MM AOSP based rom. im currently testing Fulmics but its LG based. main question for me is, is it GSM enabled? a lot of AOSP based roms for LS990 are just for CDMA+LTE.

Not happening for me. I clean wiped with Banks Gapps.
A side note though, everything works really well so far that I have tested.
2 very minor issues - the boot animation/shutdown animation is really small so you can barely see it on the screen. Second is the status bar says Domestic Roaming. I believe this gerrit is what is needed to fix it.
Working here to, & I always, always use banks or DU TBO gapps.

I try your work and I thought it was a good job.
I wish that you add more options in the "XOSP setting" like "battery bar options"
Please how can I use this rom with a GSM network and is there any update in future
thank you for this beautiful work.

You need to install the attached file. I noticed this was missing from the Gapps on Open Gapps.
Will flashing this cause that You must reformat SD Card prompt?

Boot animation is known and would be fixed soon...
Regarding "status bar says Domestic Roaming"- This commit should be in as I used Cm-13.0 trees from CM. Do you also see that on CM-13.0 ROM?
Edit: I see that this change was removed. See here and read the comment

Based on CM 13.0
Removed many unnecessary apps and stuff as well as CM ones

20 Mar 2016:
Changelog for XOSP V5.1
None
From XOSP v5.1, XOSP apps are included in the ROM zip. So no need to flash XOSP Apps separately. And 5.1 is a major update with a lot of features added and changed system ui, so a clean flash is recommended. Custom kernels with a permissive selinux will work, flashing one with enforcing will give you a bootloop.
First time installing XOSP based to your phone, or coming from another ROM?
Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and you're running the latest TWRP
Download latest build and latest GApps (Open pico gapps recommended)
Reboot recovery
Wipe data factory reset
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps
Reboot and profit! (First boot takes time and boot animation is a bit scary, don't worry it's not a boot loop )
Upgrading from earlier release or revision of XOSP:
Download latest build and latest GApps
Reboot recovery
Flash latest XOSP
Flash GApps
Wipe cache and dalvik
Reboot and profit!
Join our community on G+ !
Compile XOSP for your device

Funny. I was going to start working on this layer this week. Great work
15 minutes since the bootanimation started. I know you mentioned that first boot takes time but this seems to be boot loop.
Good Morning,
confirm the bootloop. Waiting over 20 minutes and nothing happens. Back to Mokee.

Hey Sumitra,
I would like to suggest one thing Brother.
Please stay away from the BLIND BUILDS.
If you own the device then test it on your own device and then release in the Community, or else our community will lack good mature stuffs around.
Don't release any build unless you have tested by yourself or by your testers.
Hope you understand.
Thank you

Link is now up guys
tested the rom! all bugs present in LOS14.1 for GPVE are present in this rom too. on first boot when i was checking device info, it rebooted and after reboot when i did same it didnt so can confirm it randomly reboots. also no file manager no music player no video player are installed inbuilt. one thing is now clear that development for LOS14, RR5.8 and XOSP will be parellel because same bugs are present in all three ROMs so when fixed in one, another will have fix too all the best n expecting to use stable release soon :good:

About the random reboots, I've a solution (don't know if anyone else had posted this before)
If you're using single-SIM, put your SIM into slot 2. I really don't know why putting SIM in slot 1 causes random reboot issue
For dual-SIM, put the SIM which you use mobile data to slot 2, and switch mobile data to slot 2
Now enjoy your ROM

Check this
2 sims
Think i know why when you have 2 sims installed the network drops and never comes back even after restart
when you do a clean install and in the initial setup it asks if you want to select mobile data if you select no both sims work and dont drop out
if you select yes then it stays for around 2-5 min and goes
this is where i think the problem is if you go into the settings both sims select 3g and there is no other option
in the stock there is more then one option but you cant have both sims on the same network like 3g on has to be on one and the other on the other setting like cdma
this is what the problem is both sims are trying to use 3g and it is causing conflicting issues like signal loss
