FAQ
Flashing Instructions -
First Time flashing Slim6
1. Make sure you have latest TWRP installed.
2. Make a nandroid of your current ROM.
3. Wipe everything except for internal storage and external SD card if you using one. Clean Flash is mandatory.
4. Flash ROM + Gapps. I use Open GAPPS Pico. Adam uses Open GAPPS Micro on his V400. You can use GAPPS of your choice, but it is advised to stick to recommended GAPPS.
5. Reboot.
6. Enjoy the awesomeness.
Updating Slim6 build
1. Dirty flash ROM and GAPPS.
2. Reboot.
If you want, you can wipe Cache, Dalvik/ ART Cache and System before flashing ROM and GAPPS. Do not forget to flash GAPPS.
Root
The ROM has root built-in. You can enable it under Developer Options.
WARNING - DO NOT FLASH SUPERSU. THE TAB WON'T BOOT.

Strange. I do not use SD Card, so I cannot confirm. May be @Adam Myczkowski can give us some logic behind this?

From the mountpoints in device tree it should support any type. Can you check if it works on CM13 or not? If it doesn't work on CM13 fefifofum did not add support for exFAT yet, alternatively you can reformat your sd card to FAT32, Im 100% sure theres a tool that allows you to format storages bigger than 32GB into FAT32 which should be supported by any rom. I've got 16 and 32GB cards for my G4 and G Pad 7.0 formated to FAT32 and never had any issues.

I just tested with 32GB SD Card formatted to FAT32, and it works well in TWRP and ROM.

This problem I had earlier ... unfortunately we can not use FAT32 because I often zip and rar files larger than 2 gigabytes and films more than 2GB ..and if I remember correctly for FAT 32 file one registration is limited to 2 gigabytes
what amazes me that there is no support for NTFS twrp 3.0.2
clean cm13 try and let you know how it went

So I successfully applied cm13 .sdcard works as it should. from five at the beginning .. and wipe again applied SLIM ... and now exFAT works ... do not know what it was but nothing here changed the sdcard. Barrel is that it already goes

Im glad to hear it. It might have been some internal error or something with sdcard itself, that can happen sometimes.

My tablet feels smoother than ever on this ROM.
Thanks to Adam. :good:

I'm sorry but I have a back problem .. I have some applications that require root .. unfortunately, one that is built into the system for some reason is not working as it should.
tried here on supersu.2.46 bootlop..... then I tried 2.76 bootlop again .....
Any suggestions on how to solve it?
edit : Then I tried the 2.76-SYSTEM MODE ... bootloop

Can you hold this till tomorrow? I don't have access to my tablet to test. I flashed 2.76 system mode before putting together the FAQ and had no problem. But let me confirm again tomorrow.

Slim does not support superuser, you need to go to developer options and enable root for apps and adb.

We do not nativity support exfat, we have a solution for Samsung phone, and it should work fine with Sony phones also but it may not so make a backup before flashing this zip.

um, even though I had just built an unofficial version the day before this release I have gone back to Slim. This by no means that it is better or worse, it is just what I got used to over the month or so and what I have got configured how I want it.

EDIT: Did not work for me, but the exfat.zip works no issues.
Having an issue with setting dpi's. I attached a log cat as well. Not sure what the issue is. Running a Xperia z ultra, togari, liquid smooth 4.4 rom. Xposed is installed with no errors as well.

I am sure there will be extra stuff in the logcat, but what u did was open appsettings and tried to apply a custom dpi to settings.

this works thanks!
one thing..the notification drawer shortcuts..no matter what you add for settings-wifi, settings-ring/vib/silent you always get the same settings icon..no text and no unique identifier like wifi etc..they all look the same. It would be good to have the option to get the text instead of just the settings icon so one can see what the shortcuts are for. Think Carbon rom calls it quicksettings shortcuts..it gives unique icons it seems. Thanks

For some reason it has to do with the dpi setting in the interface settings. It will only change if I change the density there or in the build.prop. Is there a way to make appsettings work or a possible fix?

Stock CM Kernel with TWRP-2.8.7.0 in Odin flashable format
I am attaching here the stock cm kernel with twrp-2.8.7.0 in odin flashable format along with the 1Gb-system/4Gb-Data pit file and Odin-3.09. Use this to recover from soft bricks and also the kernel can be used with other lollipop based ROMS. Flash the kernel with odin after installing the ROM of your choice. If you have used this kernel to repair a soft brick, you will have to again reflash the kernel after installing the ROM if you want to continue using this kernel. Happy flashing.

Its only for one time during first run...you can uninstall the chinese stuff if u want to....btw plz check the new twrp recovery and plz report back if it functions properly and the ROM too.
Some first impressions
1. The ROM seems to have all the options that I like.
2. The initial setup automatically selected my language (Hebrew) so I didn't have to scroll through the list of languages at all - that was very nice; most ROMs start with English selected and I have to scroll half the list to get to Hebrew.
3. When switching screens during the setup, there's garbage at the bottom bar. I initially thought that was a CM problem, but since it exists also here and in PA, it's probably AOSP problem. It's not a real issue, just strange.
4. Networks speeds: After disabling it, it stops updating but the last status remains displayed in the status bar; I probably have to reboot to stop seeing it there.

Haven't yet checked the restore part but during backup I get a red error:
E: Unable to locate '/efs' partition for backup process.
Edit: Note that the backup continues. It seems to just skip the efs partition.

I tested it...backup and restore works just fine...I purposefully disabled efs partition backup in twrp....it contains imei...radio info...ril info and many sensitive stuff..if during backup or restore process it gets messed...it will render your phone unusable.
just backup system, data & boot....I tested it. and after backing up...power off once before restore...the partitions get freshly mounted. And do not use backups of old twrp with the latest one...and backup with default selections.

Thanks for the rom, but how to install it if twrp unofficial has many bugs and it's impossible to decrypt and see the internal storage, and if other twrp of Pretoriano works only with Emui stock rom?
U can use adb sideload with official TWRP, encryption isn't the problem after installing.

Able to use Huawei's super charge?
Just tried to install this multiple times. Each time I wiped dalvik/cache/data/system. I used opengapps and tried mini, micro, nano, and pico.
The error I got each time was:
Insufficient storage space available in System partition. You may want to use a smaller Open GApps package...........
Error Code: 70.
Note that I have installed pretty much every rom available to this phone, usually using full or mini gapps and haven't run into this problem before.

People can do it in TWRP as workaround:
Flash the ROM zip
Go to wipe -> advanced wipe, select system and make Resize and Repair file system
Mount /system and type in TWRP Terminal "ln -sf /system /system/system"
Flash GApps zip
Fantastic work on Omni! Thanks for your work so far bringing it to the View10. Enjoying the customizations.
I can confirm the below fixes flashing gapps.

Hey Chris
Do you have any news for us? Besides the BL lock situation, is the Honor Open Source thing officially dead?
Can this ROM be used on Mate10
Or the Honor 10 (ie. not View 10)?
I flashed this rom and I like the look and configurability. But it hates my nearly new 128g sandisk sdcard. I use gonemad and poweramp as music apps and they will not detect the sdcard when they scan for music. I had to move the folder to internal storage. And when I look at the sdcard with solid explorer, I can see the spinning wait circle when I change folders. That shouldn't happen with this phone and this card, It doesn't with stock or any other rom. I don't know what the problem is.
Anyone tried playing a x265 10 bit video on this ROM? does it work?

Are you sure Wifi is connected?
If yes, try a different package of Gapps or try to restore a older backup (/data only) from a different ROM, if you have. Also be aware, that our tablets cannot connect to Routers with WPA3.
This will be fixed in one of the next builds.

logcat and kernel logs. Also, the button for the camera is so low on the screen its cut off. I tried to make a phone call earlier, but it would just end the call immediately. Im able to get on the internet with 4G though

Hi. I´ve tested the Issues you mentioned.
The Camera App seems to be broken or has a wrong resolution. That´s nothing i can fix but i´ll report it to the devs. As a workaround install Open Camera. This App is working normal.
I tested phonecalls (in and out) with 4G and Edge. Both are working for me.
Maybe there´s an issue with your local provider. If the problem persists, i would suggest to dl ROM and Gapps again (maybe a file is corrupted), delete your ROM in TWRP + format /data and do a clean install of both, ROM and Gapps. Often this will fix those errors.
Your logcat is looking not too bad except a crash of firebase, what definetly could cause the trouble. But we´ll see it, if you´ve done a clean and fresh installation.
Hi, I got the SM-T531 tablet and I'm going to download this ROM and see how it behaves I will do all the possible tests I can do, to contribute. There's no way the 3g works right, just connections right?

Hi @crazydrive22 . I'll take the opportunity and ask you a question of mine. I'm having trouble flashing any SM-T531 compatible roms. I will list the steps I followed.
1 - Flasing twrp with heimdall. At first I tried here: https://twrp.me/samsung/samsunggalaxytab4101.html but ta off the link there.
I downloaded it here on the XDA forum: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-3-5-2_9-unified-matisse-millet-twrp-recovery.4019831/ ;
2 - full wipe and format;
3 - Flashing this rom (with or without gapps) Resulting: Loop in Samsung logo or should I wait too long?
Thanks for working.

Hi.
First boot can take a lot of time. If it's not booting i would suggest to flash Stock 5.0.2 and start again from scratch. It's nescessary to had 5.0.2 installed once to make sure, that the Bootloader is updated. The Bootloader from KitKat (4.x) is not working with LineageOS 9 or newer and it's forks like crDroid or Cypher. The TWRP from Matteo is good, it's the lastest one and working well. But i can't tell you anything about Heimdall. I'm using Odin only to flash Stock or TWRP.

Thanks for the answer, it must be the 4.4.x bootloader, I didn't even ask if I had the 5.x.x one, I'm flashing the 5.0.2 About haimdall. It's wonderful, a point that can be negative is that the process is more manual, you must select each file for its respective partition, the good thing is that with it you can capture the pit file, it is very rare for an error to occur except if there is a problem on the PC or cable. It works on Linux and Windows and Mac OS X. I will return with news.
This is working amazing on my SM-T530NU, far better than whatever Nook bloat that was running before.
Installed and tested in matisselte, very good rom, very fluid. Everything works perfectly,
I will continue using this rom, very happy with how it works.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to the project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.

ROM OS Version: Android 12
ROM Kernel: Linux 5.4
Based On: AOSP
Official TWRP thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-11-official-teamwin-recovery-project.4374117
TWRP Notes:
Currently the official TWRP has issues installing on custom ROMs. It can be permanently installed on with MIUI but any AOSP based ROM causes it to hang. Until this gets fixed the only way into TWRP is to use the fastboot boot method. Also the official TWRP currently has some bugs (sideload not working, boot slot selection not working, vibration not working) which I have fixed. I've submitted these fixes to the official channels so the next official build should have these problems fixed. My unofficial TWRP build is available here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/xiaomi-odin/files/twrp-3.6.1-odin.img/download
Extra Installation Notes:
TWRP cannot currently decrypt A12 partitions meaning you can't access your files in recovery mode. This is a TWRP problem, not a ROM bug. If you need to install something, either sideload it or use USB OTG.
Lineage 19 requires MIUI 13/Android 12 firmware. You can get that here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/odin/stable/V13.0.4.0.SKMCNXM/
Lineage 18 requires MIUI 12/Android 11 firmware, available here: https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/odin/stable/V12.5.12.0.RKMCNXM/

Flash it again. I've discovered that if you flash to slot A you won't have SIM cards or sensors working but everything works properly when flashed to slot B. I have a feeling it's related to TWRP, for example it's currently a bit broken and can't be permanently installed on AOSP based ROMs.
@Inkypen just tried both B and A (in that order) and still no SIM detected. I am using your TWRP from that thread :/
Also, how to change SELinux status? Lineage Trust app complains about it.
Great work. Thank you.
Cts profile failed, selinux off. And safety tests not passing.
Any idea how fix it?

@Inkypen just tried both B and A (in that order) and still no SIM detected. I am using your TWRP from that thread :/
Also, how to change SELinux status? Lineage Trust app complains about it.

Not sure what is wrong here, or if it's even the same issue I have when flashing to slot A. I'll need logs to investigate. Also you can turn off the SELinux warning in Trust settings.

Great work. Thank you.
Cts profile failed, selinux off. And safety tests not passing.
Any idea how fix it?

CTS profile and Safetynet failures are both related to SELinux. There is a hack to hide SELinux status from Google services but I forgot to add it in (although I did add in the hack for the unlocked bootloader check). It's possible to add the SELinux hack onto a running phone but it's complicated. Good news is I'm wokring on SE policy in order to get it fully enforcing.
Don't try to force enable SELinux to enforcing, your phone will quite likely stop working properly until you set it back to permissive.

I might be the one user, who is mostly excited with the prospect of leaving MIUI behind.
Buti have to ask, what kind of procedure, did you use to flash the LOS-Build? I tried it like the way described but, it did not go well. Btw, i come from MIUI 13.

Reboot phone to fastboot mode.
Boot to twrp (get Inkypen version twrp-odin.img) via command
"""
fastboot boot twrp-odin.img
"""
Wipe all data how wrote Inkypen:
"""
Formatting data (all user data is wiped, including internal storage) is a must if MIUI was previously installed and device was encrypted.
Format data (wiping is not sufficient, formatting requires you to type "yes")
"""
Install LineageOS.
Install gapps arm64.
I mean between formatting data and install LOS, do you restart recovery?

No need to restart Recovery. But I suggest you to Install the Los/Gapps first, and than format data, otherwise the Rom won't boot. Also, make sure u flash the Rom on Slot B, although I had problem with flashing it on MiUi Beta. You can try it, anyway. Cheers.
New build succesfully installed .
Thanks for the update and especially gapps build this time.
