Hey can anyone help me on how to root acer liquid zest (t06) 3g version? I don't seem to find any guides on how to root this phone.

I have the same problem as you do and have installed twrp several times but it's not helping i still get stuck into the bootloop that shows twrp trying to do some things but can't do it. So do anybody know where you can find the stock recovery for this device?
do you have a different link for the CyanogenMod? i can't download it in Mega Server, it says "Limit Exceeded".

Just booting the recovery once messed up my touchscreen somehow and I was unable to repair my phone. So I got another one and I went ahead and unpacked the recovery and repacked it with my recovery kernel as well as removed unnecessary partitions from the list of used partitions in the recovery. If anyone has a new liquid zest with Android 6.0, use this recovery:

Yes and furthermore the one in the op damaged my phone.
It's for the Acer z525 aka the T06 liquid zest. Bought mine at Costco.

WArnig do not use this recovery for acer liquid T06...this will make your device bootloop

Did you use fastboot? I have the firmware if you need it. What Android version was on your phone? I obviously have the phone and the recovery works like a peach for me....

yes i use fastboot and i already unlocked bootloader of my phone, i'm using Acer T06 liquid stock firmware but after successfully flashing .img file which you had uploaded my phone keeps on restarting showing twp menu also shows errors then restarting again and again..please help me recover my phone..if you have stock recover please send it to me via pm..thanks in advance

that is the stock firmware for the acer z525 aka the t06 aka liquid zest. This firmware flashes with sp flash tools. you will need the mtk preloader driver. alternativly, you can just flash the recovery and boot images included in the firmware package with fastboot. the commands are "fastboot flash boot <image>" for the boot and "fastboot flash recovery <image>" for the recovery. now as I said, this recovery works 100% for me and i have the same phone.... so When you unlocked your bootloader, you used the "fastboot oem unlock" command? and did you press the vol up button on the phone afterwards to confirm the unlock? and did it do a factory reset? all of these things are mandatory prior to flashing the recovery. if you did all of that then i gotta ask, Are you sure you have the z525 and not the z528 with lte?

You flashed the other recovery that is in the op to didn't you? It messes up the touch screen.

First of all that message is totally normal in the first screenshot.
The USB icon is missing because in later bootloaders you are instantly in fastboot if you don't select anything.
Now for the problem.... Where did you get that TWRP 2.6 from and what version that you flashed in fastboot...
There are warning all over the Hairybean first post telling you not to flash any other version of twrp on there except what the upgrade puts on because they are not compatible and they will brick you.
If you have flashed a Prime JB TWRP on there you could be in trouble.

You wasn't supposed to use any of them. That is what all the warnings are for.
Can I ask why you flashed it? Compatible 2.6 twrp was included in the bootloader upgrade.

twrp 2.6 worked for me then i flashed the update of hairybeen & i thought it was stuck after the reboot so i turn it off
then the problem started
so i reflashed the TWRP via fastboot
& now i cant install TWRP or CWM Recovery
its transfering the file successfully but wont load the rck(recovery) mode
so its breaked ? or there is a way to flash something ???

Yes but you have to wait for it to finish itself and it will restart on its own.

i think now i breaked it
i tried the "wipe data" option & now its only in the asus splash screen without fastboot or anything else but asus is unlocked

i was on exodus and recently moved to oos 3.1.4 after flashing he new bootloader and then the debloated rom that i found here for OOS3.1.4.After that i cud boot into the modified twrp but when i faced freezes i thought of going back to fully stoock.However even after flashing OOS3.1.4 stock i am unable to see OOS recovery.When i move into \bootloader mode i end up with just a one plus symbol.
i tried flashing OPX recovery using adb and fastboot but to no avail.I then tried flashing modified twrp.That worked but no matter what i do i can neither install OPX recovery nor can i use the mega unbrick guide as my phone shows up as relink USB.....
Could somebody please guide me?

Thing is I have now installed OS 2.2.x.still the recovery is missing

No don't think you need that just issue with how you updated your bootloader. Go through similar threads as yours and you will find your answer.
havent found an answer.Thats because very thread speaks of installing twrp modified etc.i already said i am able to do that.What i am unable is that even after flashing OOS3.1.4 without root i am not able to see oos recovery.also flashing oos recovery seperately doesnt fix it.it just then gives me the one +logo on vol down+power...until i flash twrp bluspark again.how to return my phn to factory condition?can somebody who has faced this help me?
This is now resolved.the mega unbrick guide is good but there's a catch.smtimes u don't get the qusb_bulk.i have seen one for one plus two to fix the RELINK_USB issue but that too never worked.what finally worked was one written for mui for Xiaomi in particular and for devices in general.

Before you say again a topic on a non bricked One Plus X, I would like to let you know that I've checked and try almost all of the tutorial I've seen on xda and one plus forum.

Unfortunately, I made the 25-12-2016 update and it totally broke up the phone..
I download the OnePlus X OxygenOS 3.1.4 on the One Plus website. So I flash it on the stock recovery, it tells me "Install success" then I reboot and it stays on the bootlogo.
For information, I can't access the oem unlock menu if needed, but when I ask the oem device info it says unlocked. The phone is detected by the computer sometimes with unknown device and sometimes correctly with the qualcomm drivers..
I have a back up made from TWRP, I can access the device by the fastboot mode, it seems that all the operations written here worked but it doesn't install or even boot on TWRP..

I'm not even using TWRP, since I can't boot on it.. But I tried to flash the twrp-3.0.2-2 from blue spark v41, after the installation via Flashboot, it doesn't boot up on the recovery..
So after flashing TWRP you use fastboot boot recovery.img and nothing happens?

If you did not unlocked bootloader properly then also you might face the problem...

make sure you follow all the step. (If you didn't followed these steps then lock bootloader {fastboot oem lock} and unlock using this mathod, worked for me.)

Didn't work. I tried to lock and then unlock to be sure but not is stay in false for tempered AND unlocked.
So I don't have any idea on how make android back on my phone.
I just have access to Fastboot mode. No recovery, nothing else..
EDIT : phone is not starting anymore. I try to charge it hoping it just a low battery problem..

Start by seeing if you can fastboot flash stock recovery from any 2.X.X OOS. Then fastboot flash twrp 3.0.2. If your on new bootloader meaning latest ROMs or OOS3 then you need to boot into 3.0.2 and from there you can flash IMG of twrp 3.0.3. Make sure you boot right back into recovery after flashing any twrp or it won't stick. This worked for me when I lost my recovery twice but always remember at your own risk. Not responsible if you make your phone into a paper weight.

I have tried multiple tools that I find on XDA. I put all the zip files like bootloader update and rom on my sdcard. And by a great night, the OOS 3.1.4 finally booted up ! So I don't have a miracle solutions that can help you..

Don't worry i have restored my OPX 5 days ago. I used the method of this video: https://youtu.be/R4SVSovw4Jo and files from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/general/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-hard-bricked-t3272108 , if it can help someone.
I was flashing paranoid android 6.0.2 for my device. I downloaded the zip(from the official paranoid android website) and checked the md5 checksum, which did not match. However, like a total idiot, I flashed it nonetheless. On booting, the phone gets stuck on the boot logo. I tried booting into recovery(TWRP) and performing a factory reset to no avail. I redownloaded the flashable zip for Paranoid, successfully verified the md5 checksum and flashed it again, no avail. Restore a full backup from within TWRP, no avail. My phone still gets stuck on the bootlogo. I have looked all over every forum without any results. Please help me out? I would like to get it back to functional state and flash the rom again. As mentioned, I have access to my custom recovery and can connect to my device via fastboot. I am willing to give any other information you may need.

What was your last rom? Did u upgrade ur bootloader?

Yeah thats d problem, PA roms are only compatible with old lollipop bootloader, u said u were in oos3 which means u hv updated to ur bootloader to marshmallow. Try clean flashing new bootloader supported roms. Before downloading check for its compatibility, all nougat roms r compatible.. U can try if u wish ))

Flash any 2.X.X ROM. One way is to fastboot flash old stock recovery and flash safest way I think. The other is to flash with twrp make sure after flashing the ROM to flash old twrp IMG after. Make sure you boot right back into twrp.

Assuming you're on OOS3 with TWRP for new bootloader,
- Boot into recovery
- Wipe everything except SD Card
- Flash OOS2 zip
- Boot into it
- Goto settings, unlock dev options, enable advanced reboot
- Then reboot to bootloader
- Flash twrp for old bootloader via fastboot, use this one https://dl.twrp.me/onyx/twrp-3.0.2-0-onyx.img

-Now u hv sucessfully downgraded ur bootloader,flash PA or any supported roms
Used mega unbrick tool because I was unable to unlock bootloader and now I'm stuck at 1+ logo (powered by android disappears quickly), did you solve it?

Tried OOS3.1.4.zip via stock recovery and success message apears after installation but still bootloop (previusly it was on CM13)
Tried ADB sideload (but not booting)
i have access to ADB and Fastboot.

Mega unbricked guide?
Here is the last version at the moment of the Maze alpha ROM (tested only in 4GB version)
It's a complete ROM, not an OTA update, it can be flashed using the provided TWRP 3.2.1 version, I ported from a Jemmini (many thanks) version for Bluboo S1.
Unfortunately, the TWRP cannot be flashed (issue with the touch panel), only launched by fastboot.
The ROM is the same as the v8 official one except that it is rooted using Magisk 15.2 and busybox 1.27.2 (thanks to osm0sis) is installed in /system/xbin
There is also a SPFlashTool clean version of this ROM, useful in case of troubles (as official: no root, no busybox)
1- Reboot you phone in fastboot mode : adb reboot bootloader
2- Flash the provided TWRP : fastboot flash recovery recovery_maze_alpha_4G_twrp-321.img
3- Reboot to TWRP recovery
4- copy in your SDCARD and install, in the running TWRP, the downloaded ROM V09 : Maze_Alpha_4GB_v09_TWRP.zip
The first boot take some minutes so be patient.

I do not have the 6GB version
If I can download a stock ROM and a recent OTA update, I will do that.
Maze do not help us unfortunately

Yes i know its sad, i did a backup of mine and root it but it didnt work the backup i had to do clean flash, if we can manage to have a twrp and a source of the stock roms we could make a deabloat and put update apps ( menssages, calendar etc) and put mods for awsome features i dont see RR or lineage putting thier hands on this phone

No it is already rooted.
Reboot your phone to android, and then install MagsikManager.apk

After I installed this rom, and freezed the hot knot, baidu_location FM Radio, etc, the BT connection did not break.

Hi dreambo,
do You know if there's a stock rom for download from maze alpha x? I think it's important for normal users and developers to get one. For normal users it's important to have an option to reinstall stock version and for developers I think it's the source for custom roms (e.g. Lineage Os).
If You know a source, can You please give us a link?

No I not have any source, I am just a simple user like any other.
If I have any source or if I can make a ROM for MAZE Alpha X, I will do it and I will share it with every body, as I do until now for the MAZE Alpha 4/64

Sorry for stupid question, but is flashing with SP Flashtool an option to get root without wiping all data (unlike all other methods involving bootloader unlocking)?

Unfortunatly no. As you will see repeated times in the forum, people have issue with phone not booting after changing from stock recovery to twrp. This is do (most likely from) to verified boot setting. And by unlocking bootloader we can bypass verified boot. So without unlock you might get a successfull load into twrp, but android will not boot.

After unlocking the bootloader and flash the rom I'v got orange state with bootloop. Then after trying to fix it (wrong way) and relock bootloader and got red state with bootloop. I read that flahing back to stock fix the problem but I have no success with the rom provided in this post, the v5 from maze, the latest flash tool and the maze alpha flash tool... in all cases I get DA error(maze flash tool) or DA MISHMATCH (sp flash tool). I also tried different pc and cable with no result and finaly can't get fastboot. If that helps I've got the same flash tool error before the procedure. Every help will be appreciated.

First unlock again your bootloader and use fastboot to flash boot, recovery and system partitions:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img.
Those partition images can be found in the ROM for SPFlashTool I have provide.
After that you can boot android normally.
If you any TWRP backup, you can restore it after flashing the TWRP.

the problem is that i cant boot into fastboot to unlock bootloader....
the phone bootloops all the time, shows the red state alert and even with vol+ pressed the menu to choose recovery or fastboot doesn't apear... thanks again.

Is there any way to unlock the bootloader in my situation or/and enter the fastboot mode in order to follow your steps... thanks.
