Same here!

Change region to India or mainland China.

for los/cm based roms you can use this xposed module:
View attachment 4128255

Changing region to mainland China givew option in dialer to activate automatic call recorder. You still can use locale in your preferred language.

That's a good tip. Thank you. Is it just working with China mainland, or also USA.
Are there any other new options available after changing to China?

Yes this works great, thank you so much!

Hurray !! That's working.

LeVR Pro 1 with Le Max 2 not working.

I finally got my VR headset yesterday, but when I plug the phone in, it goes through the wizard for EUI VR but it kept telling me I'm not connected to the internet. I switched to just data mode as well and it kept telling me not connected. I don't have any firewall or anything to block EUI VR from connecting to the internet at all. Is it because I'm not located in china, and not connected to a chinese network to download the app through the wizard? I know LeEco have not enabled any VR for the US Market so could this be the reason?
If anyone have the LeVR Pro 1 headset and is in the US, or somehow get it to work please upload the apk needed for it. Thanks.
I don´t have the headset but did you try a chinese vpn like Hola Free?

This app will let me connect to a chinese server? I will try it!
Edit: the hola app did not detect the leeco eui vr wizard because it is a system app not user app.
I think Opera VPN might have China.
Edit: Does EUI ask you for a phone number, somebody said you need a chinese phone number to sign up for LeVR.

Just tried Opera VPN, no china server. I can't even open up the leVR wizard unless I can establish a stable connection to China.

Let me try that app. Hopefully this will activate the vr app I need. Otherwise, I have no clue why I cannot access the vr.
Edit: I do not see china
You might try setting your region to China. It is found in settings -> Language and input -> Region.

It works! Thanks neo. However, it seems to me like this VR is very limited to the built in VR app that it has. I cannot get other VR softwares/app to work for this particular headset because as soon as the phone is plugged in, the default vr app pops up. Even the official levr apk from vr.le.com do not work for this one. Any thoughts or tips of how to disable this default launcher for VR and use other app for it?
Glad I could help! I am using Chinese region for some advantages of software even though I am in Europe! Perfectly happy with stock ROM without root for now
Maybe go into settings options for default apps - Settings -> App management -> Default Apps ( lower left corner ).

What would setting default apps do? Wouldn't that defeat my goal because I don't want the default VR app to launch lol.... I'm on 21s leaked beta now.
I suggested you so that you could change the default VR app to some other app you want to use. I am on 18S stock. Guess this is as far as I can help you. Don't have LeVR kit nor 21S ROM.

I just looked at default apps, and there's no selection for the VR
This worked on Gear VR so it might work here,
Disable the app that is responsible for VR, the problem is i don't know which one it is maybe euivr?
Then you will be able to use cardboard apps but without imu
Edit: you will probably need to use this app to disable the vr service

I know that this is not concerning to the issue, but where you all guys have purchased your le vr pro at a good price?
Can you share a link?

You have to install Google/ assistant apps and select English in settings/language. Reboot your phone and it will work.
If you select any language with more locale the assistant unavilable message will appear. It's due to more locale.

Find X german language
I have a chinese Find X. It came with all important google apps. In english "ok google" works. Only when using the google update button it says, google is not the standard app. I can change it, but not forever.
I use morelocale 2 with the german language and the hackers keyboard. All works fine in german, even my OS Wear watch. But on the phone "ok google" without using the microphone button will not work. When I use under morelocale 2 the french or italien language "ok google" works. Why not in german?
Same with More locale in spanish and "ok Google" not working
ok - google works with morelocale2

[Q] Call recording

Is the Xiaomi Mi 10, and Mi 10 Pro, capable of call recording?
I'd like to know if call recording: is available out of the box as standard or if call recording is available via rooting the device (if rooting is even possible?)
I'm in the UK and hoping to purchase the Mi 10 Pro (although no call recording would be a deal breaker) . I'm pretty certain any UK, or EU variant, will have call recording disabled, so I'm more interested in the global and Asian versions (although any phone must have all bandwidth ranges, so probably global is best?)
Thanks in advance
Oliver
Ps please don't make this into a debate about the legalities of call recording. There's already loads of threads about that and it isn't helpful to me. I just want to know if and how.
Xiaomi is now pre-installing the Google Phone app on phones sold in Europe: https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-pre-install-google-phone-messages-global-european-phones/
The Google Phone app currently lacks call recording capabilities, but this functionality is in the process of being added: https://www.xda-developers.com/google-phone-app-call-recording-hands-on/
As far as I know all Chinese version Roms ( the only ones available atm) have call recording by default. (This is not xiaomi exclusive).
I am making a purchase and I asked about this I was reassured that it is available.

As far as I know the global version is not out yet. I don't want global version, I don't really use google. I just need GMAIL otherwise it simply doesn't matter.
Thanks for the upvote.

I was, perhaps incorrectly, under the impression that the Chinese version doesn't have all the bandwidths. So it could have issue connecting to 5g in the EU?
Anyway once your phone arrives I'd be interested to know if you're able to record calls? Please keep us updated

I have a one plus 7 pro and the only reason I have it rooted is for call recording. But I asked couple of times to make sure. It's very normal for phones meant for China to have call recording.

Recording phone calls is possible on the chinese version of the Mi 10 out of the box.
I already unlocked the bootloader and flashed the Xiaomi.EU ROM.
Now I have my native language (german) and it's still possible to record phone calls without a problem

Thanks a lot for the feedback, it's good to know the can recording works on the EU rom.
I suspect all the Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro varieties should also be able to record calls.
I'm waiting for the Mi 10 Pro global version, with rumoured release date of 27th March.
Looks like an amazing phone, and a big improvement in my aging (but trusty) LG G6.
Thanks again,
Oliver

You're welcome!
But you know, with the global version you won't be able to record calls.
You will also have to unlock the bootloader and flash some Custom ROM.

I understand I won't to able to record out of the box, but I. Believe my own call recorder app by Skvalex will work (hopefully without rooting)?
Apparently the Chinese version is missing a band that is used for 4g in the UK, and I've heard it can have issue with contactless payments and Netflix (but I don't know much about this)
Storage location of recorded calls
My Mi10 is Indian version.I have enabled Beta version of Google Dialer. Now the Call Recording works. But I cannot find out where these recorded files are stored. So anybody please advise me where I have to look for these recorded files.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying with the beta version of Google dialer call recording is enabled? That's great news if so.
You should hopefully be able to find the recordings in a file manager by searching for the latest files immediately after recording a call?

Call recording is enabled in Beta version. The recording button in dialer screen is active in the dialer screen. When a call is active you can opt for recording by pressing this button. But I can't see recorded file with the use of a File Explorer. That's why I am asking this question.

Oh sorry i can't help you but i will keep an eye
For any app related to this
I too would love to be able to record calls, for security and novelty (families voices).
Acr and call recorder don't seem to work.
It's frustrating, it's legal to record calls for personal use in this country (UK)
maybe istalling india rom would work, does any body has experience over it, how to install custom rom, and if rommed to india, does that works in Europe?
I have installed the indian rom and not appear the option to call recorder neither.

Question how to enable System call recording? global version rmx2202

Hello everyone,
I have the global realme gt 5G rmx2202 and I've been searching ways to enable the deactivated call recording feature on my phone, I know it is disabled in EU due to regulations.
I would prefer not to root the phone or change the stock rom. is there any other way to enable this feature?
Thirdparty apps are useless i have tried both free and purchased ones.
The system call recording is so superior I just cant live without it I used to have it on my korean thinq g7.
I would like to thank XDA forum developers for their hard work and dedication we all appreciate you.
thanks again.

I too would like this feature, in UK it's not against regulations if recordings are not made public. I can also say it's for training purposes.
For some, rooting is not an option as some Financial apps will fail security.

Have you tried "Cube ACR"? I don't know if your particular regional ROM has an internal lock that disables it or whatever, but this at least works for WhatsApp calls.
Edit: I bought Chinese version, flashed global on it.
