Is this phone worth it? - Honor 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My LG G3's screen is now on the fritz.
Looking to replace my phone since my carrier no longer has them and is offering me a Galaxy S5 instead (yuck).
For those of us in the US on T-Mobile, is it worth getting the 64GB international model of the Honor 7 or wait until Honor 8 comes out in a few weeks?

Depends on price I guess. The phone itself is very nice, I'm very happy with it. The H8 will probably be even better so unless the H7 is cheap enough you might want to wait. Note: I'm not from the US, since you asked for that.

I recently got a H7 to replace my dying G3 and I'm happy with it, especially for the price.

I can safely say an excellent device. One of my best purchases. Great build quality. Beautiful screen. Performance is excellent. Battery life is good. And the fingerprint sensor is one of the best. Can't go wrong at the price as well

Thanks guys!
I'm so close to getting this phone I can taste it.
Waiting to see how they're going to announce the specs of the US based Honor 8 and see how they're going to launch it in our carriers.
For me which bands it supports will make or break my choice....
Which bands do the EU and Chinese Honor 7a support?
Are they the same or different?

These are the bands supported in Europe, I don't know about the Chinese variant as I'm using European:
Code:
[B]2G-GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900
3G-HSDPA 900, 1900, 2100
4G-LTE 1(2100), 3(1800), 7(2600), 8(900), 20(800)[/B]
I hope this helps you.

[Q] Unlocked UK Lumia 800, for an American

Hello,
I am considering buying an unlocked Lumia 800, for both use on AT&T's network in the States and then abroad in the Middle East during the later half of the Summer. I have never bought an unlocked device before, so I just wanted to ask about the differences between the UK and US phones -- I believe electrical outlets are different between the two areas thus the need for an adapter -- and if I'll have any troubles popping out my SIM card with my current phone and switching between the two. Abroad, I've planned on getting a local plan in the city I'm visiting, so I don't expect any trouble there.
Regarding the Lumia 800, does anyone have an idea about the pricing and how it fluctuates? Full retail at sites like Expansys are about 700 USD, while others in Asia and Europe are hovering around 500-600 USD. Obviously, I've got around 6 months to wait, so I'm anticipating it coming down to a more palatable 400 USD.
Thanks for any advice.
Most sites that will export to US will include a power charger adaptor. I got a universal plug converter with my order. So, you won't need to worry about that.
Expansys is expensive. You can currently order the black from Amazon for 509.99. I ordered my Cyan from handtec.co.uk for 353GBP + 15 for shipping (about $584 USD). Depending on where you order the phone, you'll need to fill out paperwork for the FCC to approve the import. If you order from Amazon, this should already have been done, as the phone was already imported. Since I ordered directly from UK, I got a call from FedEx to fill out the forms while the plane was still in the air. Was the fastest shipping I'd ever seen. 36hrs from ordering from UK to receiving here in Seattle.
Be aware, also, that current versions of the Lumia 800 do not support the AT&T 850Mhz for 3G. For me, this is noticeable in my apartment, but nowhere else. If you wait a month or so, the US variant (RM-819) supporing WCDMA V (850MHz) will become available unlocked direct from Microsoft.
its 500 on amazon and comes with an adapter. newegg is $550 and works on 850 i ordered there and it came with the adapter.

Can you confirm that Newegg sells the variant that works on WCDMA 850? This isn't the same as GSM 850. They show the Lumia 800 as a deactivated item. And, when it was active, it show the same incorrect WCDMA bands as most other retailers out there.
Thanks for the quick responses. I didn't know about the incompatible 3G bands or the US version's upcoming release, so I'll wait and see if I can get a decent deal there. Also, newegg was shown as unavailable when I last checked.
I did just see the Lumia 900 was announced, with a release date pegged for March. My upgrade is sometime around May-July, so that may be for consideration. Only problem will be AT&T's policy on exclusive phones and mid-contract for unlocking phones. Hopefully, the homebrew scene gets more active as more users get onto the platform -- I'm thinking of a parallel with the iPhone jailbreak/unlocking bits from the iPhone Dev Team.
I'd wait until early February for them to be sold unlocked in Microsoft retail stores and online.
Should (hopefully) be cheaper than what it costs to import one currently. It's hard to wait though and I'm dying to get one. lol

Not so sure about that. It'll still be slightly exclusive for a bit. I also think that it's going to be bundled with a few other things.
I'm looking forward to the availability of the c-1031 sleeves that come with the phones. I'd like a spare cyan, and then one of each color, for the fun of it.

Yep it does and I own it. It has it in the listing and if its wrong return it. I am in Colorado Spring and have the same coverage as my wife's iPhone 4s.

This is going to sound rude, but I don't believe it. It's already been admitted by many UK retailers that they posted the specs that Nokia has on their website, which are incorrect.
There are two versions of the Lumia 800. The EU Variant (RM-801), which is quad GSM and tri WCDMA 900/1900/2100; and a US variant (RM-819), which is also quad GSM, but tri WCDMA 850/900/1900. The US variant has not been released yet, neither has its firmware. There are quite a few people waiting on that firmware to see if it may open up 850 on the RM-801. That depends on if the devices are tri-band due to hardware limitations or firmware limitations.
This can be confirmed by referencing the outermost packaging that your Lumia came in. The one with the bar codes on it. What is the FCC ID line? I'll attach a photo of mine.
Given that AT&T uses a lot of the 1900 WCDMA bandwidth, you probably won't notice a difference between it and a 4s. Here's how I can tell the difference. I own a Nokia 6700 classic (tri WCDMA 900/1900/2100). I owned it before AT&T put out the HSPA upgrades and I got amazing reception in my apartment. After HSPA rolled out, my signal got really shotty and kept dropping out and down to 2G. I then got a Telstra HTC HD2 (850MHz). It functions perfectly in my apartment and does not drop down to 2G. I can tether at HSPA w/o needing to have my phone right up against the window in order to keep 3G signal.
Now that I have the Lumia 800 (RM-801), I cannot keep good 3G in my apartment, but 2G is fine. This means that the 850 band is the one that bends enough to get inside. The 1900 glances by.
I'm willing to bet that Newegg may have done what most other sellers did and just pasted the specs w/o verifying. After all, why would they need to, right? Nokia should have put out the correct information to start with.

Our stickers may look different, because I have the Cyan version.
According to Nokia customer care, and many other articles online, your device does not have 850MHz. The product code is RM-801.

I have the black from Amazon's intial selling - so spent low $600s but haven't looked back.
The box DID include a USA outlet adaptor.
If you're on ATT, you still have a good shot of getting 3G if you're in a major area.
I'm T-Mobile, so only getting EDGE - but still lovvin it!

Have you actually READ anything about this phone?
Of course there's a US variant. It's getting released possibly next month.
Why the product codes are mentioned is so that people can confirm that sellers are indeed selling the right bands as they quote. There is no quad band WCDMA Lumia 800 until you can prove otherwise. There is no information on your device that contradicts anything that I've already quoted.

Come on those links you posted are before it was announced. I have the 850 variant because that is the band in my area. You don't because you have the UK model that was released unlocked for the UK. Until you can provide information other than hearsay that there is no 850 then your just spreading rumor.

I called Nokia after getting the number off of twitter and there are variants that have the 850 wcdma that are unlocked. I gave them my imei number and my phone is from Norway which has the 850 band. You can check the country specific website and they list the correct bands.

Best International Variant for Use with AT&T

I was searching eBay and saw a G9250 and G925I that seem very similar. There's also a G925F. All support all AT&T bands as far as I can tell. I'm looking for SIM unlocked, boot loader unlocked and updates not tied to a carrier. Most importantly I want one that will likely see the most development here. What do you guys suggest?
I have G920I and have no problem with LTE or connectivity. However I'm thinking about switching to edge and I'm considering G9250 which hands down supports the most LTE bands than any other variant. It's just too pricey yet let me know how much you end up spending on which variant

Thank you both. I was also leaning towards the 9250. Prices are not that different between the I, F, and 0 variants. However, I have not committed to one yet. It looks like the 9250 also has the CDMA radios but I noticed more 3G CDMA radios then 3G GSM ones listed. I know mostly all I need is the LTE but I just want to be sure.
I will let you guys know once I get it.

Here is the link. I think you can still buy SquareTrade warranty through their site directly. Go to http://www.squaretrade.com/get-warranty and put in 221744575898 which is the item number for the same item from the same seller. Later you can forward your purchase receipt from never-msrp to SquareTrade.
I personally prefer to buy their insurance which imo is better coverage. If a Samsung phone works fine within the first 14 days(return period for seller), I don't think you'd need warranty later on.

I'm cancelling out Sprint and going with Cricket, and was curious about this as well. I currently have an S3 that I've had since the release. Time for an upgrade and I am a bit torn between the s6's. I was originally going to wait for a G4, but the Flex 2 and the G3 was uncomfortable in my hands when compared to the S6. And I'll have a case on it, so it would be much more uncomfortable. Custom roms have made my life with my S3 a much more bearable one as I'm currently running Lollipop. I'll be getting two of whatever I decide on, but I need lte, no bloatware, and a lot of rom development so I can explore!

I think things have changed in development scene quite a bit since S3. I personally was a flashoholic and used to flash new roms/kernels daily. But as android evolved, I felt the need to try custom roms less and less. IMO there will be less number of custom roms as we move to each new generation of Android phones. If you really want tens of custom roms and kernel, go with a Nexus. Right now I have an S6 (coming from a Nexus) and waiting for my G9250 to arrive. I have not had any need to flash a custom rom. Having root is nice though.
Overall, IMHO If you want more roms, go with G925F/G920F. Otherwise G9250 has the most comprehensive network bands support. Root is available on pretty much all variants.
I ordered the 9250 w/64gb storage from Never MSRP but via their ebay listing. The most expensive phone I've every purchased, hopefully I can get some good life out of it. Should be arriving Monday. I compared all the bands and I think this was the way to go. I too am no longer flash happy with my phones. Although CM12 has been great on my OnePlus. I just want to be able to root the phone for simple things and more control. Still undecided about the Squaretrade insurance. I will decide within the month they give you.
I bought the g925i edge...I live in cali and using cricket, does that mean I won't get as many bands? I'm just worried about 4g speeds + call/text signal strength because I use it during school and work.
I finally received my 9250. To be clear, I had 920i for a few weeks on at&t. Before that, I had 925A. I feel data on 9250 is slightly faster than my 920i Attached is a series of speed test result in downtown Philadelphia which is a pretty congested area. My 925A speed tests in same area, had similar results so I do not think 9250 is any slower.

Quad-DAC, Wireless charging, 64GB storage

These are just 3 of the features of the phone which are not being made universally available.
Quad-DAC is for Asia only
Wireless charging is for US only
64GB storage is mainly Asia (definitely not EU or US)
For me? Totally not acceptable... Was really looking out to this device.
Why do other parts of the world have to pay premium price for non premium features.
Yes... I would bought it Instantly if it had the DAC.
They have said... We listen to the customers? Haha in Asia maybe? The rest of the world?? We are going to fill our pockets on you.
I would of bought it if it had Wireless charging, the Quad Dac, minimum 64GB storage and upgraded cameras.
As it has none of those for the UK market, I will be skipping it.
Waste of money for UK customers.
Without the DAC for the US? I'll pass and wait for V30. The V20 was a serious game changer for me. The ability to carry a 24\192 device, that even played DSD, was a revelation in portable audio.

I think I will decide on two underdogs... Which are capable of Hi-res audio.
Sony XZ Premium or.... The Asus Zenfone AR looks very promising.
I am not a newest chipset chaser... My G4 is also still very capable.
The lack of Quad DAC has put me off, can't believe this
To be honest, I will not purchase a US G6 if that is the case. The charge port is quick enough.
But the DAC is a must!
They must see the trend of Americans moving towards bluetooth audio. But damn I love my wired headphones.
Sent from my LG-H918 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
it is not acceptable. the lg policy is ridiculous and I hope that in Europe the g6 will make a flop. premium price for a neutered phone.
Wonder what the UK get instead of dac.
Anyone know how to order something from Korea or some other state which will have DAC (didnt found exact markets, yet.). I really dig this phone, but its a no-go withou DAC from me, unfortunately.

Teardown video shows wireless coil can be added. Hopefully some enterprising eBay dealer will install that on some 64GB/DAC models and sell them on eBay...
Sell us the phone that LG should have made in the first place!
Now, just need an Asia model with AT&T bands...
I know with the LG G4 there was a Taiwan model which had TONS of LTE bands including all the AT&T bands. And it had an unlocked bootloader.

Screw the V30, if it's any bigger than the LG G6. I don't want a bigger phone just to get better specs.
Doesn't LG understand they are pushing people to the Samsung Galaxy S8?
Just make one LG G 6 with all the high end specs, and sell it to the world. Just because I love Qi wireless doens't mean I also don't want 64GB storage (I have both those features on my current phone, Moto XT1225) and I also want DAC. What's so hard to understand we want ALL the high end specs?
They should have added front facing speakers, while they were at it. Rumors are the S8 will have stereo speakers! (Or maybe one of them?)
Basically, LG should have made a "ZTE Axon 7" -- but with Qi wireless charging! Seriously, go compare the specs of the ZTE Axon 7 to the LG G6. Why can't LG put out a phone like that, for the entire world?
You ask me, LG is preparing to sell the Smartphone department. In a year or so, a CEO will get on the stage and tell the world they tried it all but unfortunately failed. We have seen that in other and comparable industries before. Take Dell, they release the most advanced tablet in the world and somehow "can´t manage to deliver updates". It´s bull****, that´s excuses.
Three different versions of the G6 for different markets. I mean, let´s take a look at this economically. Do you have any idea what that means in terms of production and maintenance? It´s inefficient as hell, its stupid, literally. It´s the same with the LG G4, this fragmentation was a major cost factor.
I really feel like LG is trying to find an excuse to drop smartphones. They knew they had to deliver this year and they failed on purpose. I mean, the world wide response to that was quite foreseeable.
Ha ha....Am from Asia...Finally..will get that DAC with 64gb.... Love the G6 <3

I'm sick and tired of LG messing around with all those different versions of the same phone. More memory for this part of the world, Dac here, wireless charging there...
Are they thinking that they are cutting cost by choosing which region gets what they think fits our needs most?
I'd love to know who exactly (from lg) is in charge of this mess, well did they atleast put out 1 version which includes all of the extra features for the people who are willing to pay a lil more for? No
Been with lg ever since the g2, everything else after that looks to me like a big testing area. flex series, g3-4-5 and now 6, stylo n what not. The whole picture ain't clear as to what exactly they wanted to do.
Anyways thats too much salt that even lg aint worth. Currently using my old g4 as my g5 screen shattered the other day. Need a new phone and im sure its not gonna be lg that will be getting my money. With the last ad i thought maybe they truly are listening but guess its as fake as they ever were.
Next viable option would be an s8 , Huawei/oneplus/sony/Htc/Nokia maybe?

The DAC was the one feature I was hoping for when moving from my G5. It was also the one thing that would have stopped me looming at thd S8.
I'd import but I've heard LG aren't interested in honouring any warranty if i do.
Think ill stick with the G5 a while longer now.

Does anyone know for sure if the Korean model will be unlocked and support all the bands (GSM/LTE) that are used by AT&T?
I have the G5 (RS988) that is the unlocked model at works on all US carriers. It appears there will be the same with for the G6 (listed on BHPhoto). But I'm more interested in 64GB and the Quad DAC than wireless charging.

No. The official specs for the Korean models (there are three, for various carriers) do not show all the AT&T bands. One model shows LTE band 17, but that's it.
The major AT&T LTE bands are 2, 4, 5, 12/17.
G600L: B1 (2100) / B3 (1800 +) / B5 (850) / B7 (2600) / B38 (TD 2600) / B40 (TD 2300) -
G600S: B1 (2100) / B3 (1800 +) / B5 (850) / B17 (700 bc) / B38 (TD 2600) / B40 (TD 2300)

However, one guy on T-Mobile claims he's getting LTE band 4 with one of the Korean phones, so it's possible official specs are not complete? This happens sometimes just to prevent people from doing what you want to do.
_________
I have experience with this "incomplete official specs" also -- with my 2014 Moto XT1225. I'm on AT&T and bought three of them from other countries. Basically the 5.2" version of the 2014 Moto Nexus 6, official Motorola specs initially listed 2, 3, 4, 7, 17 but the FCC also found LTE band 5 (another AT&T band). (Had to be certified for Puerto Rico which is a U.S. territory.) So, the Moto XT12225 had ALL the AT&T LTE bands (2, 3, 5, 17) when released in 2014, but for some reason (Verizon?) Motorola didn't want to admit it. They also left off a T-mobile HSPA band, which the FCC found. Who knows why? My LTE Discovery app confirms it's there and many Canadian users also confirm LTE band 5 on the Moto XT1225...
See, the Moto XT12225 was the "international" version of the Verizon Droid Turbo XT1254 -- so having all the AT&T LTE bands maybe would embarrassingly prove that phone was not world-wide exclusive to Verizon and would work just fine on AT&T? Which is exactly why I bought THREE of them -- from Mexico and Puerto Rico!
Anyway, a few months later when the phone launched in India (Moto Turbo XT1225), Motorola FINALLY admitted all the LTE bands and HSPA bands on their India Motorola website. Motorola also updated their specs on their Motorola website in Brazil (another country where it was sold), but did not update the specs for Chile or Mexico websites -- even though it's exactly the same phone in all countries (Mexico, Puerto Rico, Chile, Brazil, India) with the same FCC ID. As a result, even to this day many, many phone spec websites like GSMArena or PhoneArena still do NOT list those extra LTE and HSPA bands for the XT1225, even though they were there from the very beginning -- because they used Motorola's "official" specs press release which was strangely incomplete.

I don't get why LG just can't make one G6 model or the US that would work with all carriers, have the 64GB, Quad DAC, and wireless charging.
The way it is now, doesn't look got be a major step up from my G5 except for the screen. And the Korean modes on eBay may not work with all of the ATT (or T-Mobile) bands.
I'm going to wait and see how things play out with the S8.

Right. While the U.S. likes Qi wireless charging (I won't buy a phone without it), we also like audio enhancements and more storage. STUPID LG. (and I'm an LG fan,)
LG should make ONE phone with all the specs for the entire world and sell it.
Allegedly LG will soon sell an "unlocked" version to the U.S. -- which WILL work with all carriers. I WISH it would have Qi wireless, DAC, and 64GB storage. But I don't trust LG to be that smart. They've really gone off the rails since the LG G2.
LG G6 Latest News: Unlocked U.S. Version is Coming Soon

Should I Buy Exynos or Snapdragon?

So I'm going to buy the s9 in about a month after a couple paychecks so I have a lot to think about. First off, I would LOVE to be able to unlock the bootloader. I know qualcomm bootloaders are super locked down these days for some reason even though android is supposed to be an open platform but I'm considering getting the international version. The only problem is I'm on verizon . Do these phones work with CDMA yet? I'm 99% sure they don't but if anyone has given it a try let me know. If I switch to t-mobile can I use it in America? Or do you guys think the bootloader unlock isn't worth it and maybe JUST MAYBE someone will find an exploit? Let me know your thoughts guys, I'm really just trying to consider my options here. Maybe it's time to say "screw you" to verizon, or maybe I should just give up on root and buy a tablet or something to play with. Let me know what y'all think!
Exynos version will not work on your Verizon network. Buy the us unlocked version. But remember verizon wifi calling will not work
I would switch carrier if I were you and go with T-mobile if you they have acceptable coverage in your area. If you really value root and want good adblocker, best sound mod, ability to backup all your apps properly, custom battery icons, bypass stupid manufacturer restrictions and enjoy your device the fullest, go with Exynos.
If Samsung pay, VoLTE and WiFi calling matters a lot to you, go with Snapdragon. But I would still switch to Tmobile in that case.
I had just posted something about the perks of why I went with the SD variant (T-Mobile) S9+ ...here's the link.
Exynos does have their advantages with better Dev support etc, however it is still unclear if the Exynos variant will suffer from carrier aggregation on the US network.
This was a known issue on the Exynos Note 8 having trouble with the LTE, where it could cling onto one strong signal, however it wasn't able to handle the protocol of being able to connect to several signals at the same time.
Check out this post where I went into explaining it a little more...
I am waiting for a confirmation to see if the Exynos S9+ will work 100% on T-Mobile...
Oh and I'd definitely switch to T-Mobile as well. I have one Verizon line left, but the rest is now on TM so I can tell you that in places where I barely had bars with TM, I now have full LTE... TM has the newest infrastructure and they are expanding like crazy... the coverage and speed nowadays are are excellent. You can check out the carrier coverage map here.
Hope that helps...
A very good argument in SD variant's favor! I have S8+ Exynos currently and I do not get over 20Mbps on Tmobile in limited areas I have tested so far(I should say I do not have great coverage where I live, but it is not terrible by any means). I hope S9+ Exynos will not have this issue but I feel it may suffer in same way.
As long as I have WiFi calling and VoLTE, it doesn't bother me too much that the LTE speeds are "capped" for lack of better term on the Exynos version. I considered getting Chinese G9650 with unlockable SD bootloader but looking at the g9550, it doesnt have much support here on XDA and there is not even Oreo out for it still!! The dual SIM is helpful when I travel internationally, so really hoping Exynos gets VoLTE, WiFi calling and good LTE speeds on T-mobile!
I am interesting in buying an Exynos S9+ for use on Verizon. I dont see band 13 listed as supported. Isn't B13 one of the more popular ones for Verizon?
LTE Bands: FDD: B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B17(700), B20(800), B28(700), B32(1500), B66(AWS- 3) | TDD: B38(2600), B39(1900), B40(2300), B41(2500)

Thanks for the detailed reply and sources! That helps me a lot. I'll probably switch to T-Mobile sometime for sure. I think I'll just go with the US unlocked since Samsung will probably get root anyways, and I played with the s9 a bit and like the ROM enough. The bands we use in US are a bit different and people have reported a lot of problems, so since I spend 95% of my time doing normal stuff on my phone I'll not ruin that 95% for the sake of the 5% of the time I'm tinkering.
Also on the T-Mobile coverage you're right! Seems like they've really been expanding their coverage. A couple years ago me and my brother rode from NC to MS and he had a Galaxy tab on T-Mobile LTE and it was blistering fast the whole ride there. Pretty stout if I do say so myself!
I like you would prefer the unlocked international version for the unlocked bootloader and potential to mod. I don't even have the CDMA network restriction as I'm on AT&T. Even still I went with the US unlocked. I got it super cheap with student discount. I think I paid 700 for a brand new phone, epic these days considering so many are costing over 1000. Anyway back to the point, I got the US snap variant and I have no issues at all. This thing is absolutely awesome, I don't have one single complaint about it and with Nova launcher is feels even nicer imo. US unlocked is a good choice even if you didn't have to get it for the CDMA compatibly

There are pros and cons to owning both variants...
Do your due diligence and consider your own use cases for your phone.
Do you use Samsung Pay?
Do you care about having a warranty?
Do you like to run custom ROMs?
Do you want fast LTE speeds?
Based on these answers and many more, you can determine which model is best for you!
Good luck!

The SM-G9650 Hong Kong variant has the Snapdragon 945 Chipset with an unlocked bootloader. It looks to be compatible with Verizon 4G LTE Bands 2, 4 and 13. I know Samsung Pay works in the US but not sure yet if it will support voLTE or WiFi Calling, that would also depend on your carrier. Here's the band compatibility for that particular model.

Depending on where you buy from, you can get warranty support for Exynos.
I can confirm that Band 71(the newest band that Tmobile is flooding the USA with) works great on the US unlocked version. If you are even thinking about going with T-Mobile, get the Snapdragon. Although I can't personally confirm this, I've heard that Band 71 will not work with the Exynos phone. If someone could confirm this, that would be great.

If I'm not mistaken though, you would still have to ship it overseas for repairs.
Is there a US Store that offers domestic warranty coverage for international Samsung phones?
No domestic stores in US offer warranty on Exynos versions. And I am 99.99% sure Exynos does not have band 71 for T-mobile (600MHz).
Band 12,2, and 4 should be sufficient for most people I think until 600MHz is widely available.
FYI clove.uk just updated their S9+ buying options, you can now get the dual SIM Exynos model for an additional ~$20, but I think it comes with an EU plug so you'll probably have to buy another adapter.

Have you confirmed your bank accepts payments through Samsung Pay? Before my bank accepted Samsung Pay I had the same setup problem your experiencing. Also make sure you have the most recent Samsung Pay update - 66 Mb.

yeah i made sure to redownload it to be sure, and im positive my bank does, i had all the same cards on samsung pay on my g965U US model working perfect.
You stated the app wouldn't load with your Verizon SIM in slot 1. I don't see how any SIM or Slot # is relevant to accessing or downloading the Samsung Pay app. I would try the following.
1 Uninstall Samsung Pay
2 Remove SIM cards
3 Connect via Wifi
4 Download Samsung Pay via Wifi
5 Reinstall app
I just reinstalled the app with no glitches. I uninstalled it a few months back because I found Debit Card transactions are less hassle than NFC transactions. To me the only situation where NFC makes sense is if I wasn't carrying a Debit Card, which isn't very often. Hope this works for you!

If this representative is right we might not have to wait long for band info. Huawei phones usually launch around Oct - Feb.
The Honor 7x, View 10 and Mate 10 Pro feature 2, 4 and 12. So I'm a little concerned about the company's support for newer bands in the US.
I do not have high expectations for band 66 and 71. i want to be wrong though
Haha. I'm trying to stay optimistic. Very few phones around ~$200 carry a battery this size and certification by Rheinland. If Huawei disappoints there aren't any real alternatives.
Well, no. There's the Moto G7 but that's several months away.
