Hi,
I have a new galaxy tab 10.1 and a computer with windows XP. I've installed the USB driver from the samsung website, but when i connect the tablet to the computer, the only thing that comes up is a little window saying "MTP Media Player" and i can either "Transfer files using windows media player" or "take no action". How do i access the tablet in windows explorer?

After upgrading my galaxy tab 10.1 i had same problem with PC connections, recognized only as MTP without option to transfer files.
I upgraded media player from 10 to 11 in my XP computer, reinstalled usb driver from samsung site - it solved my problem.
Thanks krbernier

[Q] ES File Explorer and Windows 7

Here is my setup:
Nexus 7 2013 and Samsung Galaxy S4, both running ES File Explorer 3.0.5.3
Windows 7 x64 Pro (Hosting the files)
ASUS RT-AC66U
The system works just fine after a fresh reboot of my PC. After a few hours, I get the "Login Fails" error (plain text or SMB). The only way to fix it is to reboot my PC. I believe its a Windows 7 setting that causing this. I searched all over the net for a fix and none of them worked. I tried:
Enabling Guest Account
Changed Advanced Sharing Settings
Set "Everyone" as read in the File Share Window
Enabled Inbound/Outbound rules in the Advanced Windows Firewall
Enabled sending unencrypted passwords to SMB via Local Security Policy
I can go into more detail of the fixes I tried if needed. What is an alternative to sharing files from a Windows 7 machine to Android devices? I feel like Ill never get ES File Explorer to work. Thanks.
Try the AntTek Explorer. I have 3 machines running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and a server running Windows Server 2008 x64, a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition, a Samsung Galaxy S4, a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, a Google Nexus 7, and a Samsung Galaxy S3. I'm using the Asus RT-AC66U as my main router and have a Linksys EA4500 and a Drink 5ghz single band both running in bridge mode and a Western Digital Wireless AC Repeater. All my mobile devices I've been able to setup the Asus under the network settings using AntTek as a my file browser. Also install AiCloud, which not only let's you access and stream music/videos when you're on the network, but you can stream from the USB drive remotely and connect to any computer on your network to share files or stream data.

I have this same exact issue with one of my computers, but the other computer always works fine.
Not sure what Windows setting is causing this issue.
This issue only applies to android devices where it will start giving login failed after a few hours, but other windows PC can still access those folders.

[Q] Can't set up UPNP from PC to Android via Kodi.tv

Hi,
i recently bought a fire tv stick and while looking forward to use it I just wanted to test kodi.tv
So i installed the Kodi Windows Center and the app on my Android 4.4.4.
I did go trough step by step like it's said on Kodi.wiki
But my phone does not recognize the server, just a blank window.
Any ideas what may be wrong?
- Kodi's allowed in windows firewall.
- All permissions are allowed via xprivacy.
- Same network
- library is set

MTP Driver wont work on Windows 10 Pro N

Hi,
i dont know if its the right place for such inquiry but im certain you're the ones who could help me.
its been few months since i upgraded to Windows 10 Pro N and its been going very well except one thing, Not Supporting MTP Devices.
the problem causes to not being able to use any portable devices such as Android / iOS phones or even Cameras or simple MTP Devices.
i've read few articles about Windows 10 Pro N edition not having media features pack installed so as they've suggested i installed them separately from links below.
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3010081
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=19153
now, even with installation of this updates i still cannot use any kind of MTP Device on my Desktop.
Please help me solve this problem.
Thank you
It is suggested that download the latest media feature pack from microsoft website-Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1903_V1 , search this pack and install it, definitely it will work and ur problem will be solved

Just so I'm clear on this, you're saying that your Windows 8.1 laptop cannot establish ADB communications with your mobile Android device? Also, what platform or build environment are you using for mobile app development?

Your issue is almost certainly due to a missing or incorrect USB device driver. With your RealMe connected to your laptop, how is the device showing up in your Device Manager?
