[Q] Le Max 2 x820 DSFA od DSDS - LeEco Le Max 2 Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm looking for a decent dual sim phone with so called "full active" feature. I've found out that Le Max 2 has 2 IMEI numbers, which led me to conclusion that this model might be what I'm looking for.
For instance, is it possible to check emails using SIM1 and talking on SIM2 at the same time?

Yes, you can choose which SIM is for Data usage and which SIM should be used for Phone/SMS. Both SIM working at the same Time

The phone is NOT a DSFA one. Had to learn in a hard way.

How Can I ADD more than One Cell # on Siemens SX-56

I have head that one can put more than one cell # on Siemens SX-56
example if i am using cell # +92-300-xxxxxxx and i want to add another # of different Cellular Company # +92-342-xxxxxxx
how can it be done. There is only one slot to insert the SIM.
I know at one time only one cell # will work.
Also How many max cell #'s can be added?
Can some one explain if its possible.
Thx
Aamer
Are you referring to sim cards/different mobile numbers? I dont think there is a solution for sx 56 for more than one.
somebody told me that more than 10 sims can be added, he did not give me the detail but what i gather from the coversation that the sims are read by sim card reader and then somhow loaded in the xda.

I thought you were referring to using a multi sim adaptor which takes 2 sim cards and you switch between them by switching phone power on/off.
I have one of the programmable supersims that you will see on the above link, it doesnt work with sims in UK as they use the latest encryption for KI number, I destroyed 2 sims trying to get the KI from it so be careful if you buy one.

Dual sim adaptors, any success?

I have tryed two different dual SIM adaptors on TyTN and none of them works

This is the old version of the famous Ghost Dual SIM, which has no menu, it is the model where you have to swich the phone off and on again.
This one doesn't feet between the phone and the battery, you have to hold the battery yourself and can't put the plastic cover.
Anyone tried with a newer version of it?
And this Dual SIM Holder: (cut)
I've also heared that you loose 3G capabilies of your SIM cards when you put them on a dual sim adaptor, you can only use 2G. Anyone knows if this is true?
Anyone having good experience with dual sim adaptors on TyTN? Which models have you tried?
Dual sim holder (cut) works!!!
I tried to use the Dual sim holder (cut)! It works for me perfectly! I suppose I can use the UMTS too, becouse the "U" is active on the tray (not the "G") and the download speed is: 284.8 kbit/s. Is it faster than the GPRS?

Yes, UMTS is a lot faster
Which dual sim holder is it? do you have to turn off the phone and then on again to switch sims or do you have an "special" menu on the phone to do it?
Also, are both SIMs 64K or more?
Thanks!
Re Dual Sim holder
No, I have two very old sim's (V1 card from 2001).
I don't have to turn on and of the phone to switch between the sim's. I can swich online using the dual sim menu.
I think the speed is low becouse of the sim's, not becouse of the dual sim holder. but I'm not an expert user.
If you have any other information, please write becouse i'm very intrsested in it.
Thanks,

I've done two tests:
1) I tried with one v1 SIM and one 32K SIM on the Dual SIM Holder (cut), but the one which has no special menu to switch the SIMs. This setup was working perfect on my old BlueAngel, but doesn't work on my TyTN, it sees as if there was no SIM card on the phone
2) I tried with two 64K sim on the Ghost Dual SIM (no cut), also the one without special switch menu. TyTN also sees as if there was no SIM card.
Probably I'll have to buy the Dual SIM Holeder (cut) with special menu and try it, but I don't have more v1 SIM cards... grr!! too bad! :?
Re: Dual SIM holder
Hi pof,
I tested my PDA with a new 3G SIM card. The max. download speed was 310 kbit/s by UMTS and 145 kbit/s by EDGE with dual SIM holder. And without the holder the results were the same. So i think the dual sim holder works perfectly in my TyTN with UMTS too. The only different in the speed was becouse the V1 is an older and slower SIM. Maybe.
Re: Dual SIM holder
Great news to hear that it's working!!! 8)
I've just bought one of those Dual Sim 10th Gen, Auto STK Menu, Universal holder cut which include the STK (Sim Tool Kit Menu) on eBay, although it says: and there is no guarantee that this item will work with 3g or 128k Sims, but my SIMs are 64K.
Will post my comments when I get it!
Anyone any more info on TyTn Dual Sim?
I'm off to buy one now, so any recommendations on what to buy would be appreciated (even if you're not 100% sure it will work). I'm looking for something that will take 2G/3G sims.
Thanks.
Andrew.
P.S. I'll post back the results when i finally get the VarioII
Can you receive a call on either numbers?
Forgive the ignorance, can anyone tell me if you can receive a call on either your cut sim (personal) or sim (work) at any one point in time?
Or are you only available to receive 1 incoming line at any one point in time?
Re: Can you receive a call on either numbers?
You can't recive calls in both phone numbers (unless you make a call forwarding from one to the other).
Those devices only let you switch from one SIM to another without actually having to take out the battery and switch the SIM card, but only one SIM is operaitonal at a given time.
Depends if you believe their spiel on their features:
“AUTO SWITCH” feature enables you to receive messages and phone calls on both number synchronously ( Auto switch is set in the on screen menu) timing of 0 to 99 minutes can be set for switching.
Anybody have any idea how that might actually work?
I use the AutoSwitch on other phones, not the TyTn
It will switch lines at the predefined time you specify, but you can ONLY receive messages or phone calls on the line that is currently active. Anything to the other line will go to voicemail. It sometimes doesn't switch lines though, and gets stuck in flight mode instead, and NO lines are active. I don't know if it's phone, network, or dual SIM issue, but FYI. I would like a Dual SIM where you don't have to cut the SIM either. Actually, I wish all the the phone carriers would have stuck with V1 spec SIM cards so we could clone them onto a single card. Oh well.......
Any Update?
Any update on this?
I am considering buying the 10th gen, but it would eb great if someone could confirm it would work on the TyTN.
Thanks
I still not received mine , contacted the ebay seller and he told me he will send a replacement.

sorry to hear that. I have just ordered mine - let me know how it goes
works fine.
When you switch the sim using the apllet provded it puts the ppc in flight mode and it should then put it automatically off flight mode and the other sim is then active. If it hangs, you may need to put it manually back off flight mode, and it works.

Thanks. I've ordered mine and I am now waiting for the delivery.
You mention the applet - does it rely on the Midlet manager on the phone? For some reasons I've got problems making it work.
Under Programs you automatically get a new link "Dual SIM Card."
You do the switching by running the program and clicking on the SIM card (1 or 2) that you want to activate.
which card did you actually but? any details - I'd like one!
Are you guys cutting your sims? What happens if you want to not use the dual sim card thingie anymore?

[Q] Dual sim card adaptor?

I have seen a few dual sim card adaptors that sellers are claiming work with the Mini Pro. Has anybody tried them or have any thoughts/advice regarding them?
I don't expect they will be dual standby (both working simultaneously) but I am still interested to do this rather than carrying 2 phones around.
Link 1
Link 2
If it worked it would be great. Does anyone know if it works? Maybe booth could work together with some app... I don't know, when it comes to Cellphones I'm a total Noob..
Waiting answers..
I have a double sim (one sim with 2 number) from vodafone, wich is basicaly the same as a dual sim adapter.
It works as it should.. the only bugger is that every time you change the active sim, it forces you to re.login to your google account.

How do you change between the two numbers? Did it cost you extra to get this from Vodafone?
The double sim is a product from vodafone.. About 15euro once for it. You give them your numbers and in 1- 2 days you get the new card.
To change betwen numbers you have several options. Either the sim menu and select the numer you want.. Boot the phone and and use he pin you want.(each number has a pin) or dial 0 or 00 to reboot the sim. The phone asks for the pin
Sent from my U20i using XDA App
Anyone using these adaptors? I need to order one for my phone.
I have a Vodafone and an O2 sim using an Xperia Mini Pro and want to have both in it at the same time.
Just want to know if it will work on an Xperia Mini Pro which might not be the same as the X10 Mini Pro for compatibility or whatever. Never done this before.
Check out www.magic-sim.com I got one for my Samsung galaxy s2 from them and it's a great little device. There's a compatibility checking function on the website so you could check the mini pro there.
I used it, 3 years ago... You only require a phone with a "sim menu", (the one with your carrier options... And a case big enough to be able to close it with this sim that is a little bit thicker.
The one I tested made disappear your carrier "sim menu", and replaced it with a custom menu that allowed to change the sim... Even allowed to schedule the changes...
The bad thing is the time it takes to obtain signal after making the change ( the same time it takes when you turn on the phone), and that you have to cut your SIMs to be able to insert them...
Now I sow one that did'n require to cut the Sim, but I think that's too big for lots of phones.
The one I have from magic-sim fits really well. Sim switching takes about 4 seconds. It sounds like the technology has improved a lot since you used it.
how it connects, in layers?
so, this adaptor don't make the phone work with the two sim at the same time?

It is dual sim stand by. I used one sim on honor 7 to call another on the same phone and it worked.
Just slide another sim in and give the above method a try to make sure.

Yeah i know it is dual stand by so that means both sims cant be active at the same time, that is where im confused.
Are you using two sims for daily use?

Yep. Two sims all the time... Both sims are active and as I said, you can even use sim1 to ring sim2 in the same phone meaning even if you are in call at sim1 and someone calls you on sim2, it will ring and you will have the option to put sim1 on hold and receive sim2 call.
Hope my explanation makes sense

Honor 7 PLK-AL10 dual sim issue

hi!
i'm facing a weird problem with dual sim network. sim 1 or sim 2 whichever is assigned with 2g/3g/4g option gets cellular network only and the remaining one shows 'emergency calls only'. assuming that this is an software issue, i've changed the rom using HiSuite; but the problem yet prevails! the phone was okay for last around a year and this issue just happened couple of days back...
is there any solution/suggestion to get rid of the problem? thanks in advance!

factory reset or reinstall rom.
While it might be ROM/firmware issue, another possibility is the cellular frequency bands. Whichever SIM is assigned as data sim (2/3/4g), the other SIM can only be (2g). It might be that the telco has discontinued 2g frequency band.
I have similar issue on Honor 8 which I think has the same limitation (only 1 data SIM). If I assign SIM A as data SIM, SIM B would lost signal; but SIM A has signal if SIM B is set as data SIM. This is regardless of the SIM card slot. In my case, probably SIM A (its telco) supports 2g band, but not SIM B.
