I own a Redmi3Pro version last month , it's my second Xiaomi device , i own a Redmi2TD also ..
So , i made a custom rom based on MiUi8 developer weekly version.
I just made this rom for all Miuiers who want a reliable Miui rom for this device.

This is a Stable rom and needs Clean install with factory reset..
I didn't add supersu , i just add supersu.zip for those who want root ( after rom's installation a supersu.zip will be created at your internal sd ) ..
Enter TWRP
Reboot / recovery
Wipe / wipe data factory reset
Install / .. install Rom zip
Go back and you'll find a supersu.zip in your internal sd card ( if you want root you have to flash supersu.zip )
Install / supersu.zip ( if you DON'T want root AVOID this step )
Wipe cache and dalvik cache
Go back and flash the BuildFix ( this step is Only for THUNDER Redmi3 , 2/16 )

Found few bugs.i cannot enter recovery via Volume button bt can go to recovery by reboot to recovery option that u have put in the rom.and next time plz include wallpaper carousel app. Its a great feature so dont delete it plz.and its kind of lagging for me so i hope it will be fixed in next version.overall great rom

I'm still testing some things in structure of rom , rom will be changed week by week , i just need some more time with this device.
After 2-3 reboots will be go better ..
I will include wallpaper carousel on next update , though i don't like it ..
Probably on new update i will change the structure of rom and installation method , will see ...
I will check the recovery issue that you said ..

Yes , you can delete dolby folder from the zip if you don't want it...
If you have error with installation then EDIT updater.script , just delete the dolby atmos lines at the end of updater.script ..

Thanks for this great mod...can u take theme manager from miuipro? I very like it bcoz we can download paid theme for a free..I think wallpaper carousel is to bad for added..just deleted it [emoji4]

Yes , i don't like this carousel wallpaper feature but as you can see some users want it ...
About theme manager , it is not theme manager application that you can download paid themes for free but needs some editing in jar files , i don't have the time to check it now ..

WHAT Clean and BuildFix DOES
Because of rom's structure you have to flash this second zip to Clean some unwanted stuff from the rom and for Redmi3 variant will fix build.prop also.
Clean zip for Redmi3Pro will be permanent , so you have to add this zip in your sdcard to use it at every update from now and on.
BuildFix zip for Redmi3 will be change every week because of build.prop changes.

The Redmi 3 has by default a step-in to the TWRP-recovery. In all MIUI-ROMs there firstly appears a yellow/brown recovery-screen with chinese letters visible if you press ON and VOL UP. You can change the language to english there. If you tap on "recovery" you will be led to the origin TWRP-recovery V3.0.2-0. As this "chinese recovery" is missing in the custom ROMs (like this one), you don't get into the TWRP-recovery by pressing "ON" and "VOLUME UP". This just leads into the big nothing.
But but but: If you press VOL UP+DOWN and ON at the same time, you will be led directly to the TWRP-recovery anyway.

Actually you're right about vol+,vol- and power leads you to TWRP ...
But the problem was with this yellow/brown recovery ..
By pressing vol+ and power leads you to this recovery screen which has also english on the boxes along with chinese letters.
By pressing recovery then leads you to TWRP recovery , the bug was that at those yellow/brown boxes touch was not responsive on anything , now this fixed ...

I want to install this firmware. I have TWRP 3.0.2.0. How Can I update TWRP without unlock bootloader? I can't install this rom with my recovery (I become message: "cant write system to system partition" - or something similar (can not remember now exactly).
Is polish language on this rom?

I installed this rom without errors, but I have only black screen (no sony logo etc). Phone only wibrates when I turn power button. I can only flash stock rom with flashtool, nothing else.

No, I have black screen, and phone won't turn on (phone is off). When I press power buton, phone short wibrates and nothing more. I can't go to recovery, or boot up. I can only flash rom with flashtool. When I flash rom with flashtool, I can made root, and recovery, and then flash any other rom, but when I flash Miui v8, I have this problem. Before I flash this rom I have MM (.291) rom, I try flash when I have kitkat rom-the same result. I have locked bootloader.

Hi folx i tried it yesterday also and encountered the same bug - I came from AOSP and thought i have to flash stock first - but as i read your reports it is related to another reason..... Have you guys installed xposed in a first step ? Maybe this is the problem ....
Or is it related to another part of the aroma election ?

The same happened to me when I flashed the advanced stock kernel (https://www.mediafire.com/?bmhccw2x4papa4m) over another MIUI8 ROM... so maybe it's kernel related (for locked bootlader)...
When you flash original stock kernel (using flashtool), the ROM boots up normally...

I have no devices to test, but users in 4pda forum successfully tested rom.

I have try to install your TWRP, then MIUI - no result.
I made TA partition backup, then unlocked bootloader, install newest TWRP 3.0.2-1, then install MIUI - phone boot, but show only sony logo and nothing more. I have no idea how to install this rom. I try to install other kernel - no result.

I succesfully install this rom.
I install stock prerooted rom MM 291 (region CE1).
I boot phone with this rom.
I turn phone off, then boot to recovery ( TWRP 3.0.2-0).
I flash recovery from post #9, then reboot.
I install MIUI8, wipe dalvik&cache, then I install recovery from post #9 second time, then I wipe dalvik&cache, and reboot.
Everything is OK, but I don't know how to add google account. When I press icon Google Play - nothing happens.

You must launch "Google Installer" preinstalled app and press main button. If app freezes in last step, reboot phone and use Google apps normally.
There is the bug when you select a theme and you get a black wallpaper?

I found next bug. I have error in gallery.apk. When I watch any movie, and I press editor video, I see video editor for one second, and then I have "Unknown error" and nothing hapens.

1. download all files and place them on your desktop
2. flash my modified boot.img (magisk root) with flashtools
3. flash TWRP recovery with flashtools
4. reboot the Phone and install magisk manager app (link https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/topjohnwu/magisk-manager/)
5. start magisk manager , it will tell you that your phone has root
6. go to playstore and download the app called reboot recovery ( its a very small app)
7. reboot to recovery.
8. done
9. Now you have twrp and you are able to flash zips or custom roms

You only need the boot.img if you are not rooted. Because if you flash twrp s8 how would you boot into it?
Hardkeys don't work. So you need to be rooted and download an advanced power menu from playstore like "reboot recovery" to boot into it

You can reboot to recovery and flash the rom.zip v2.2 of eragon.

You enter the test mode with that.
We don't have a solution ATM to enter in recovery mode.
So you have to flash the patched boot.img etc..

Ah ok..didnt know it was the test mode

I've "installed" the drivers(it runs the program but then at the end says 3 things failed)
Now I'm in the flash tool and loaded the scatter file but it isnt detecting the phone as connected(probably because of the above)

Did you disabled the signature verification of windows?

No it doesn't. Twrp leads to data partition being encrypted. Whenever WIPE data partition to decrypt, all files are deleted. When reboot into fresh system, copy files again, and reboot into reflashed twrp, data partition is enrolled encrypted again. And no MTP so it's an endless loop.
Anyone has successfully installed TWRP with this method?

successfully flashed but it goes back to normal regular reboot
what i tried:
1. "fastboot boot recovery.img" after applying this phone goes back to normal reboot
2. "adb reboot recovery.img" after applying this phone goes back to normal reboot
3. "adb reboot recovery" after applying this phone goes back to Mi Recovery 3.0
4. go to recovery mode from software update menu, phone goes back to Mi Recovery 3.0

everything is ok but due to anti 4 it may be goes to stock recovery, So fist time boot in recovery then go to install tab Chose image and then Re select twrp.img and flash. then it works.

yy i try it with 10.0.2 and i boot up without any problem, but when you need flash back a10 rom you must wipe data / system before...

yes, had a soft brick. phone was only booting in to fastboot. so used the "XiaoMiTool v2" and recovered the phone with MIUI 12.0.3.0 and then downloded the ota update 12.0.5.0 and then updated to it via manual update. now not thinking of doing it again for a while , don't want to get the device bricked again.

TWRP - Latest = Yes
Wipe - data/system = Yes
1) adb reboot fastboot
2) fastboot flash recovery twrp3.4.0.0....
3) fastboot reboot
4) held volume+ n Power
5) TWRP came
6) advance wipe - dalvik cache/system/data/cache
7) back to main menue
8) install - select storage - OTG
9) taped on the zip, slide to flash..
Everything went well successful.
10) reboot system -- came to fastboot, repeated the same step still fastboot

Used XiaoMiTool V2 and recovered to 12.0.3.0.. and OTA update to 12.0.5.0..

I think unlike previous iterations, we don't wipe system partition with these Roms as long as the vendor is same. (Means, If within MIUI Roms, no need. likewise with others such as AOSP)

If your boot-loader is unlocked and have twrp, just FORMAT DATA, cache & Dalvik and flash the A11 Weekly Rom. Clean installation means formatting DATA partition and setting up as new.
I'm on weekly 20.09.17 and will be flashing the latest A11 weekly end of the day after work.
Edit: When you format DATA, your internal storage too would be wiped. So Make sure you have a PC (To mount twrp and copy the file) or OTG to push the Rom file to internal storage after formatting data.
