Sent & received Text messages from friends Galaxy Prevail 2, carrier Virgin delayed f
Need advice regarding a Samsung Galaxy SPH840 "Obama" phone, the carrier is Virgin mobil.
Problems with the phone began when my friend removed samsung DM service as Phone Administrator. Forcing him to do a factory reset.
He has no background or understanding of Android OS
Or his Prevail 2.
The cheif complaint is the time delay from sending and when it arrives.
He says it takes up to 4-10 hours to complete an action.
I had him send me 3 sms messages in a row.
Took 20 min for no.1 to arrive 1 1/2 hr for no.2 .
No.3 has yet to arrive. 2 latter hours please advise

Anybody receiving incoming SMS messages in huge quantities?

Hello,
I upgraded my T-Mobile USA to latest ROM and radio and somehow according to T-Mobile website I recieved like 500 incoming SMS messages which never appears on my phone but still billed on my account.
All of them are coming from some weird 4 digit number 3213 or 3208 according to T-Mobile website. I'm completely puzzled what is happening.
Anybody has any ideas?
G
P.S. I already called T-Mobile and they told me that they are going to investigate within 2 weeks and did not give much explanation of what is happening.
- I've just checked my account...sorry, I'm not receiving any SMS messages on huge quantities that are not appearing on my phone.

[Q] phone takes time to send a text and receive delayed text s2

It's been almost a month that i've used my new samsung s2. Since that day, my text messages would take time to send and i would receive 1-4 hours late. I bought it on ebay and it's the korean version. i used to have the samsung ace2 x and it work perfectly with my old phone. i just called my phone company costumer service but they told me that everything was okay on my file and they couldn't do anything because my s2 didn't belong to the company.. please help!

Does Verizon still send out new S4's?

So, I've been having an issue with sending SMS messages on my S3 for awhile, and Verizon determined that it was an MIN collision issue from an S3 I had stolen last fall. Basically, I can't send text messages at all, and it's been this way since February. I tried network reset, top tier tech tickets with VZW, phone reset, ROM wipe, new SIM card, etc. Nothing worked. So Sunday I call, and the guy told me the antennae on the S3 was buggy, and that maybe the new MIN on the network wasn't downloading to the phone right. SO, he tells me that he can send me a new (in the original manufacturer's packaging, not refurbished) S4 as a replacement since I'd tried everything else. Even though it had a locked bootloader, I agree, as I really want my texting back. I received it not an hour ago, and it's a refurbished model, not even in the original f**king box. So, my question is, does Verizon still have new S4 devices to send out? If they do, do I have a valid reason to call and complain since what I was told on the phone, on a recorded call, is different from what I actually received? Thanks in advance for all help

They probably do, but very few amounts. They probably needed more space for the S5. You could call them and complain that a Verizon Rep told you that you would get a new S4 from them. Unless the rep lied, or he didn't say that you would get a "new" S4, Verizon can't really deny your claim.

Samsung galaxy note 2 - phone freezes during a call

I hope you can help me, i have Samsung galaxy note 2 and when i make or receive a call the line comes and goes and then i can't ear anymore (at this point i thought it was my network) but then the 'call screen' freezes; it doesn't respond - it does only when the other side hungs up. This has been happening in the last few weeks but the strange thing is my husband has the same problem and he has Samsung a3.
I thought about the phone software but i have kitkat and my husband has lollipop, mine is rooted but my husband's is not, mine is few years old but my husband's is few months old. I don't get it!!!
Could it be a particular app we have installed?
Please help !!!

(T-Mobile) MMS takes forever to send pictures, other questions.

New gal to this group, y'all seem to know your ****, so I signed up to ask questions as I get issues.
Ever since I got my LG V30 through T-Mobile (october 24 birthday for my phone), MMS (pic with text) has been a pain in the ass to send.
Is there any way to fix this? I've had T-Mobile re-do the APN thing for the phone, I've rebooted endlessly, deleted apps I don't use that MIGHT
have hogged RAM in the background (paranoid from Galaxy S4 years STILL).
I wonder if it's T-Mobile or just the phone? Mom and dad have Galaxy S9 through Military plan, and theirs send pics fast but barely send little 1 minute videos of things like ducks playing in rain puddles, dog chasing the cat, stuff like that. MY PHONE CAN send video faster, but sucks at pictures.
T-Mobile was supposed to have that rumored 5G LTE thing out by now, we just got upgraded from Nougat 7.1.2 to Oreo 8.0 IN JUNE.
There's also a shortage of emojis other Oreo users have that we don't.
So.
1. How to fix the taking forever to send PICS WITH TEXT in one message? Pic will send up to 5 mintues after the text that would be attached on other devices (how to keep picture and text in one message bubble?)
2. How do I get the vomit emoji, middle finger emoji, duck, and more onto my Oreo OS phone?
3. Is the 5G thing REALLY happening?
T-Mobile support can only do so much, apparently. They're not devs, coders, programmers, computer people. My PC repair husband can do things they can't on the phone, which is sad.
