GT-P5110: does not reboot automatically after fresh firmware updated... - Galaxy Tab 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
After a tentative firmware update I now get the 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue' error message when I boot my Samsung tab P5110. I have tried to connect via Kies but Kies does not recognize it. I have then tried various versions of Odin (3.7, 3.9, 3.10) associated to several .tar.md5 that I found on the sammobile and other websites as well. Some {Odin, .md5} couples do lead to a successfull flashing result. The strange thing is that at the end of the succesfull flashing result Odin says 'Restart' or 'Reboot' but my P5110 never reboots, even after 15min. If I then reboot it manually (Volume Down +Power) I get again the 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue' error message.
I am really lost and do not know what very minimal 'thing' I could flash to get pass this error message...
Thanks for your precious help
Christophe

HELP. Bricked 4.2

I was flashing stock rom with root from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1885374 and oden failed during. Now I cant get to download mode. The screen says "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again."
Kies doesn't recognize it even if I go to emergency firmware recovery. Heimdall doesn't see it. Odin crashes or fails depending on the version I use. Any suggestions?
Are you still stuck?
I had exactly the same problem and just followed this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1884071
It worked for me.
Good luck

Help unbrick and update Mega 6.3 sgh-i527

My phone was previously rooted (can't remember if I used mobogenie or Kingoroot). I un-rooted using superuser in an attempt to get the update to 4.4. when I tried to boot in recovery mode it says "System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone. Please turn off your phone and go to the nearest ATT store for help" and "Secure Fail: KERNEL". It can be put in download mode. I've tried using odin to go back to the stock rom but get a "fail" everytime (with the pit file and without) and the message "Complete(Write) operation failed". I also tried to push files using fastboot but the computer doesn't recognize my device when I type "adb devices" -- nothing comes up. I also tried Kies but it just keeps saying "connecting" but never does.
Ultimately what I am trying to achieve is #1 unbrick the phone (of course) and #2 to end up with at least 4.4 (or possibly higher if available).
Try flashing just the boot loader in odin. That saved me several times

Error Cannot Update Software

Hello,
I've Samsung Galaxy SM-J701F/DS and i did factory reset and started getting into panic mode. So, I tried to flash stock ROM through odin and I only selected AP and left other files like Bl, CP and CSC. Thus it took longer time without any result so, I closed the odin. Since then my phone only boots in download mode.
And while trying recovery or normal boot I get " Error Cannot Update Software ".
I used this ROM:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/...-nxt/SM-J701F
And now my phone is showing as Samsung USB Modem while plugging in PC.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 stuck on boot logo and unable to flash stock rom

Hello, today I was trying to restart my phone after it was updating an app from the google play store for several hours and since then it gets stuck on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 logo. My phone is rooted and has TWRP installed.
I still can enter TWRP recovery mode but literally everything I can do there fails. I get the "unable to mount storage" message whenever I try to wipe or format something and it is showing 0MB for all partitions.
I tried flashing the stock firmware using adb sideload but I am still just getting unable to mount storage/cache/data messages after a second. I also tried flashing the .zip file through USB OTG cable but got the same result.
When I tried flashing the file with JOdin3 (Odin for Linux) I got this message: "A corrupted file was detected. In order to continue, you must select a valid Odin File" (Still got this message after I redownloaded the file)
If anyone has any suggestions, please leave a comment.
Edit: Tried flashing with Heimdall and it somewhat worked but if I boot my phone now I get "fail to open recovery cause no such file or directory" error for a split second and then it reboots...
Please can anyone help me?

Phone stuck in bootloop/not booting

My phone was stuck in a bootloop. After entering DFU mode and attempting to reset my device over itunes, my phone randomly crashes after the "extracting software" stage (tried this over 7 times).
Is there a way to reset my device or make it function again?
Same issue here. When trying to update via iTunes from 15.4 to 15.5, it prompts an unknown error (9). Googling it, it says it could be a problem regarding the NAND… which error do you get? Any help on this?
