Hi Sanke,
Had that problem too...
Question : what's the language you've set your phone to ?
If it is not Chinese or English, try to set langugae to one of those.
Regards.

Hi,
If you can, try to set your region to China.
I think playing around with language/region sovled the problem for me.
But can't tell for sure... I'm using Resurrection Remis for a while now.
Excellent ROM, except battery life : Google Play Services are drainin a lot of battery too fast
They sometimes have eaten up more battery than the display !
Regards.

This it multilingual Add-17S-CN.zip for stock rom 17S-CN. If you flash it over recovery (no wipe), you will have rom multi languages.

on my side, the roms keeps crashing after installing google apps.
I did a full format, clean install....

@lcarrere
On this Chinese 17s, you only need to install google play store apk. No need to install GAPPS.
Link to 2nd Aug Play Store Click here
If you install GAPPS, The phone keeps on crashing

Hello Perfect everything is working good for me. Battery life is good. One small error that I have and I dont why ... When I try to install Maps.me application from Google Play Store it keeps crashing.
All of my 95 others applications were all downloaded perfectly except this one... I tried to wipe the cache from the play store app, did some reboots, but nothing has changed
Do you have any idea where it might come from ?
Thanks again for this work
Laurent

I'm guessing this ROM has the LeView or whatever it is called news/streaming stuff if you swipe left from your homescreen.
Anybody know how to delete or at least disable it?
Edit:
Nevermind, here is how to disable it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=68551061&postcount=2
"Remove the Le TV screen on the left of the home screen by long press it and click on the eye on the top and Le TV will dissappear next time. "

Use a different launcher or root and use titanium backup to disable it.

Next problems:
I have the Chinese X821 and it only allows for this recovery: TWRP 5.8 TeaMSpaiN and TWRP 3.0.2-0-unofficial [LeEco Le Max 2]
These two recoveries suck, you can install many ROMs like "ResuRRectioN RemiX LeMax2 x820 TeaMSpain"
But 17S will delete that recovery, and afterwards I was only able to flash "TWRP 3.0.2-0-unofficial [LeEco Le Max 2]", "TWRP 5.8 TeaMSpaiN" didn't work.
How do I root the phone now? Flashing SuperSu gave me a bootloops.
How do I install this multilanguage update correctly? "Add-17S-CN.zip" Do I need root for that first? Flashing in recovery took forever so I had to reboot.

There are discrepancies in your post.
There is no X821 Chinese.
X821 = Indian (This model only takes TeamSpain 15s TWRP recovery) All the other recoveries like 14s and earlier do not work and give BLOD.
X820 = Chinese model and people here are reporting that any recovery works on it.
You need to boot into recovery, sideload CM13 based ROM, boot into that ROM and copy full 17s Chinese firmware zip file to the root of the SDCard. Then boot in the recovery and perform an Advanced Wipe and wipe all partitions except internal storage.
Then Install (flash) the CN 17s firmware) First time it will fail. Then again flash the same file it will flash completely. Then immediately flash SuperSu 2.76 zip file using adb sideload.
The CN 17s firmware does not flash using sideload command and that's why we have to do the circus of installing a CM13 based ROM first.
You may have to flash SuperSu 2.76 zip file twice because many times it fails to install the first time.

I have loaded the CN 17S ROM. I have used the Indian and US ROM as well, and have used TWRP 3.0.2 without any problems. I have also used the CM and the Hydrogen ROMS. Not quite sure why you are having problems.

Have you tried using an app called flash fire by chainfire it should allow you to flash it's etc with out unrooting or using the legitimate recovery?

I'm on a cuoco 17s v35 but fingerprint doesn't work well.
I'm stuck at flashing stock recovery. I don't find where to download it (i always find a twrp recovery but the only twrp i can flash is TeamSpain 5.8. The other one, i always have a blue notification led)
I have a x820
Can i have any help ?
thanks

Do a Full Unroot in SuperSU and in TWRP TeamSpain 5.8 when you press Reboot System, press Allow change to Stock Recovery. You will have it and you can install 017 without a problem. I came from 016 stock with root and TWRP and did what I suggested above, finally installed 017 as an Update.zip without wiping data.

It's because of root ?
I tried to unroot via SuperSU remove all root, but the application is turning and no end ?
I've success to install 17 stock by twrp 5.8 teamspain... (i didn't thought i can do it but i can..)
fingersprint work, pokemon go work (not on cuoco 17s as i unroot the phone and install magisk)
I'll try next time
thanks

I think this rom is good, but fingerprint is not good for me.

Help TWRP Kenzo question

So i am on the new miui using the oficial flash thing (unlocked bootloader oficialy).
The thing is i always wanted to get root and use a kernel on xda here that gives more available memory and solves some of the heating problems when charging (but i know need TWRP ofc) .
So i went to here and checked a few guides however there are many twrp's versions some of them i can't flash miui oficial roms, some of them i need installl boot.img every single time or when i want to restore backup is not just select the backup and done, i need to do something else (is a bit confusing)... so instead i decided to ask you guys directly
The question is:
- If i wanted to use oficial miui but have root and install a kernel and in future just flash the new miui rom again without any stress (just twrp -> flash-> select rom and gapps and done), no boot.img bull****, no flash another twrp etc is it possible??
(before this phone i had moto g(1st gen) and was easy as to put ONE twrp and then would be always flash rom + gapps every single time, no boot.img no firmware, worked for CM12, 12.1 and 13)
Install Alka recovery and back up all the partitions before doing anything.

Although I haven't tried it personally, the TWRP explanation guide here says the Cofface TWRP (linked on that page) automatically patches the boot.img when you flash a new ROM, which I believe solves your problem.

global beta 7.2.9

As the title says global beta 7.2.9 is out. Anyone installed it?
What about twrp and root compatibility?

Can you confirm the process please? Is it just:
1. Download the recovery version of the update to the phone.
2. Boot to recovery (TWRP).
3. Install the update zip file.
4. Re install TWRP.
5. Reinstall the SuperSU zip.
6. Reboot to system.
Do we need additional reboots between the steps? Do we need to unroot before installing the update? Does it matter if the existing global beta ROM is several versions old?
Sorry for asking so many questions. I have not updated the ROM since unlocking the bootloader and installing TWRP/SuperSU several months ago and am worried about bricking my phone.
That's the steps i did , i first booted the rom just to be sure everything was OK before reinstalling twrp and supersu. I only had a message telling me the update wasn't successful but after installing twrp and wiping cache everything was fine. As long you install the full rom you should be fine with the update (do a clean flash to be sure). What version of Android is actually running on your phone ?
Update twrp to 3.0.3 as the previous version won't work with nougat

That's good to know. Just to confirm, the update could be applied "dirty" without a need to reinstall all apps and data afterwards?
I am still on global beta 6.11.3 (which is MM) and twrp 3.0.2.0. Is 7.2.9 based on nougat which would require the update of twrp? I had thought that the nougat beta was on a separate thread open to a closed group only...
I did a clean flash when updated to nougat (was on 6.11.10) but did a dirty flash from 7.1.19 to 7.2.9. Update to twrp 3.0.3 is highly recommended as it's updated with nougat libs and 3.0.2 won't "stick" with nougat miui.
Only the fiirst nougat build was on a closed beta but now it's open beta and can be updated via updater app.
Édit: clean flash is not mandatory i guess, i did it only to be sure to have a clean install without rogue app or incompatibility issue between mm and nougat. I use supersu 2.79 and have no issue

Look in the mi5 developement thread There is twrp section and in the 3rd post the op uploaded a unofficial release of twrp 3.0.3 but stable enough to be considered as official.

Finally did it, but not without scare - my Mi5 was stuck at the boot logo with "Bootloader unlock" message screen after flashing the recovery version of 7.2.9 update and reflashing TWRP 3.0.3.0. Luckily managed to get the phone into fastboot mode to flash the fastboot version of 7.2.9 and get the phone back on again. Finally reinstalled TWRP and boot into TWRP before rebooting to system successfully.
The key step I had forgotten was the booting into TWRP after its installation over the 7.2.9 stock recovery, which had led to the bootloop.
So I now have updated to 7.2.9. I do notice that the boot process takes quite a bit longer than 6.11.3 (design of nougat?), but once up, the phone feels as responsive as before.

Install stock rom from vendor rom (solved)

Just had my X829 delivered and even though I asked for it to be sealed and not have their dodgy rom installed Banggood just ignored my request.
So it does not have the update option on it and can't update to stock indian rom that way. I tried installing Indian rom after renaming it update.zip via stock recovery but it states the rom failed due to it being corrupted.
I have had a look in forums but can't see how to install stock rom from vendor rubbish.
Thanks in advance.
Edit...
I just installed TWRP instead and flashed it that way as nothing would install on the installed recovery.

Just follow guide here to unlock bootloader and install twrp recovery then install Indian rom with twrp. No need to rename it either. Once installed wipe data before restart and away you go.

If you can reach twrp, then wipe everything, install stock ROM by OTG.
If you only can access fast-boot and recovery mode then I think you need to follow this thread
because if you don't have OS installed then you can't run twrp.

Sometimes twrp said no is installed but it was and it booted normally. Stock installs fine in twrp.
Sold mine though as could not get on with 4 hrs sot. Got a lenovo p2 now and get 14 hrs sot lol. And even though is only an sd 625 it's that well optimised and running stock nougat I can't tell that it's slower than the max 2.
Here's the detailed guide to Remove Vendor ROM and install Stock ROM
Follow the steps in this guide and you will be able to get rid of the Restrictive Vendor ROM... Your Le Max 2 will have Stock ROM with Update Option:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/le-max-2-remove-vendor-rom-install-eui-t3614193

Le Max 2 update from 5.9.023S to 5.9.026S failed

Need your help.
My Le Max 2 is running 5.9.023S stock rom at the moment. Recovery has been changed back to Stock recovery (previously is TWRP).
The Rom update keep prompting for new Stable version 5.9.026S but when I follow OTA update it download, restart to Recovery try to update and Failed with Status "Failed to Update".
I even download the Rom file, change it to update.zip and do manual flash but still failed.
Can you guide on how to update this version?
Thanks a lot.
First flash TWRP back via Fastboot. You can flash the any stock official update 26S use TWRP just flash it normal as other custom rom. Note your current TWRP recovery will be replace by EUI stock recovery so you will have to flash TWRP again after installed 26S by Fastboot/other way.
I have a problem like that and i used TWRP (fastboot boot twrp.img) and flashed 23S again to restore some chinese apps that i removed earlier.
Then i updated without any problem to 26S.
The OTA update verifies the checksum of the modem, bootanimation, boot.img and so on. So, if you altered/replaced some of these, the updater script fails. Flashing the entire 23S from scratch obviously put all the correct files in the right place.
Where do you find the official 5.9.026S?
My phone is running on 5.9.023S and tells me its up to date.
Also on the Leeco homepage is the lastest 23S.........
I need some help also
My phone x829 arrived with 16s
I swapped some custom ROMs with twrp and at the end I finally installed the official 20s and I choosed to replace twrp with custom recovery
The problem is almost 2 months now and I don't have any message for ota update for 23 or 26s
What can I do?
Thanks in advance
16s is the last available rom for x829. To see updates coming, you must firstly flash a chinese rom
That's what I m saying
I have flashed and installed the 20s this is the Chinese rom,but since then I have no ota,2 months and no ota
You are right. I try to flash it back twice and now able to update to 26S. it works fine now. Thanks a lot.

Hi so recently today I was able to successfully flash my stock ROM from Global 11.0.3 to Europe 11.2 (20.3.5).
All works, I have a new and version specific TWRP recovery which solves the decryption issue and such.
Only problem though is I can't seem to update my ROM from the latest Europe 11.2 (20.3.12). I am aware that we cannot install OTA updates like we normally would because we are on a custom recovery. I tried flashing it from the 'choose update package' where it brought me to the TWRP and executed OpenScript to flash, and also tried flashing from TWRP itself. No luck. Bootloop into Redmi Logo and TWRP recovery, so I end up restoring the working Eu version.
An updated tutorial on how to install OTA roms on custom recoveries would really be appreciated, thanks!
Hey OP, could you make a How to install GSI guide?... I'm really interested on doing that.

you have to flash https://build.nethunter.com/android-tools/no-verity-opt-encrypt/no-verity-opt-encrypt-6.1.zip and then update the OTA..dont forget that we normally use a custom rom with TWRP, no point of having twrp with stock rom??? try xiaomi.eu , its way better and you dont have any problems with updates.

An updated tutorial on how to install OTA roms on custom recoveries would really be appreciated, thanks!

Hello, you are lost mate...
You use Xiaomi.eu ROM, it's a custom MIUI ROM (Not Official ROM).
You can install updates given by Updater app (System app) without issue on this ROM.
If your phone bootloop just after a ROM update, and not after flashing Magisk, it can be because of a bad encryption from "bad" TWRP (so you need to "Format Data" in new TWRP <-- installed by xiaomi.eu ROM)
-OR-
Did you use my K20 to Mi 9T conversion patch (from xiaomi.eu forum)?
Check for update with Updater app, download and install it. That's simple on xiaomi.eu ROMs.
Trying to install evolution X on my Mi 9T but whenever I flash TWRP the phone won't boot to it, just keeps loading the fastboot screen. Anyone have any ideas where I'm going wrong? I've reflashed stock with miflash for now to get it working.

I have the same problem, but I can't find a solution. Did you find it ?
I found the solution with explication on how to install havoc_OS
after format data you have to reboot to recovery, flash firmware +rom+gapps...without firmware it wont boot on some roms..read well OP instructions, mine are only for xiaomi.eu, you dont need to flash firmware and it will boot fine.
