Immense sound for our Touchpads!! - TouchPad Themes and Apps

I've just installed this : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-sp/themes-apps/port-mm-xperia-x-xperia-z5-sound-t3380130 on my Touchpad (I used the X port and installed on Flintmans MM) and the sound quality and volume is amazing.. Fantastic! - a very real and dramatic improvement and worthy of the built-in speakers!

You could try A.R.I.S.E sound system, BioHazard mod, XTREMEMusic, etc mods by extending the /system partition size by 300 mb more.
It gives you even more drastic improvement and combine it with V4A and Dolby Atmos, that's an awesome sound machine for an audiophile!

Any guide to use ARISE ? I install it but didn't hear better. thanks.

Anyone have any leads or suggestions for the few Oreo based ROMs that have cropped up from Dirty Unicorns and the, now late, Evervolv?

what rom are you using, I'm on 8.1 and was wondering if it would work. The site says "NOTE- THIS PORT IS ONLY FOR Marshmallow.. DON'T FLASH IT CM12, lollipop, CM11, 4.3 etc.... Else you might end up in a BOOTLOOP!" Thanks.

AOSP VIBE Stable 1.3 Release 18072016

Time Appropriate Greetings fellas!!!
This is my take on the AOSP 6.0 for Lenovo K3 Note....
AOSP_VIBE is based on the latest VIBEUI Dev edition released for K3 Note by Lenovo and so it has the bugs that will be present in that release. This rom is developed with the idea to have the best of both words which is the simplicity of AOSP and the features of lenovo tied to K3 note, its a learning process for me and those who wish to test it or modify it are welcome to do it but please credit me and people in my credit section and also please comment in the thread what u have done to correct the bug because in the end all we need is Fully functioning ROM and knowledge of how to do it....
AOSP VIBE based on the latest firmware of VIBEUI with latest security updates. It is a cleaned up, no nonsense lighter edition. Face it, whatever rom we port it is not going to be better than VIBEUI compiled with the complete source of K3 note. So have the experience of AOSP in VIBE...have fun...
Known Bugs
Whatever the bugs listed for the latest vibeui.
this is a stable release....rooted, busybox, gapps, xposed but no MultiLanguage i.e only eng and cn...also replaced Maaxwave with DSP + which has Dolby, Beats, Surround, SRS, Clearaudio libs...
WARNING TEST THIS AT UR OWN RISK....BACKUP EVERYTHING U HAVE BEFORE DOING ANYTHING...
Boot into TWRP recovery
Wipe Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data
Flash the ROM

never had an issue
st 1.3 released
everything is good except some module in xposed not working .
this rom is good!
would be better if dolby is pre-isntalled rather than dsp+ anyway just a minor problem, have removed the dsp and installed dobly. now its perfect!
this rom got some problem.
I think build.prop need to add ro.product.locale.region and ro.product.locale.language.
Because i notice my phone unable to find "dead trigger 2" and "unkilled " and after two line added. These game show in my play store.
And some xposed module unable to use it, wechatunrecalled.
Except this two minor bugs, this is a total good rom ! With good ram management.
Battery Backup and VR Mode?
Is the battery backup good? And is VR Mode present in the ROM?
Please update do dev 1631 cuz it's great rom! Btw I can't flash this version because of error 7 in twrp. Tried multiple times, downloaded twice and with different twrp versions
Wait. If the base is vibe dev.. how is it AOSP?

Can i flash it on my lenovo a7000-a plus?
ROM seems to work well. All major functions appear to be operational, and it is nice to see AOSP-ness (don't think that is a word, but hey). A few minor issues though:
Firstly, I removed the theme centre because it was frankly, annoying. I don't need themes, but one thing that gets broken during removal is the ability to select ringtones. I can download Zedge and pick something from there, but it's not the same. Is there a way to get the standard ringtone picker back?
Another little issue which does get annoying (I suppose you get used to it) is that scrolling acceleration seems to be exaggerated. I notice this on a lot of MTK ROMs, so I am not sure if this one is fixable.
The last little issue is that there is some Chinese text in the dialer and phone apps. I don't access to my K3 Note at the moment (I'm travelling and my mum uses it), but I was wondering how the Google Phone and Google Contacts app worked on this device:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.contacts&hl=en
If it were possible to replace the stock dialer and contacts app with the Google equivalent that would be awesome. If someone has some feedback that would be great. So far I am finding this the most stable ROM for this device
Edit: There's another issue, which I can't explain, how sometimes my internal storage goes "missing" and the entire contents of my internal storage gets moved to data/media/sdcard/, and the new internal storage becomes /data/media/sdcard/0, where there isn't any data. Really bizarre, and certainly disconcerting for my poor mum who now uses this phone.

[SOLVED] Help required with XT1521

Hello there..!!
I just got a XT1521, as a secondary device. Its currently on stock Android 6.0 with baseband M8916_2020629.41.03.21.51R SURNIA_EMEA_DSDS_CUST
I want to make it just like the Pixel. I do know where to get the required files, and don't need any help regarding that.
All I wanna know is :-
1. What's the procedure to unlock bootloader on this device? Unlocked successfully
2. Which recovery should I use? I used Squid2's TWRP v3.0.2-r1
3. Which ROM can be used as a daily driver? (need 7.0+ to get Google Assistant working). My preferences are good battery life (if not extreme) but the performance should be smooth without any lags, unlike the stock M. Also, wifi, OTG support and other features should be working properly.
Flash Seraph08's CM14.1, its totally smooth with wifi, otg and everything working. Also, I've managed to install Google Assistant successfully
4. What's this adoptable storage thing that people are having problem with..?
Didn't faced this problem myself. Maybe because Im not using ext sd card.
5. Should I flash a custom kernel too? If yes, which one and why?
Didn't found any need to do so, stock CM kernel works just fine for me.
Thanks to you for reading through all of this and please be kind enough to answer. :silly:

4. I faced no such issue in cm14.1.
5.nope you don't need any kernel, cz the stock one performs excellent.

First of all, thanks bro for the reply.
Have you tried the CypherOS 3.1.3?? That seems good too but is having wifi problem, though in the latest version only.
Everything works fine in the CM14.1 you suggested, right? Even the wifi / tethering, VoLTE and OTG..?
VOLTE is still not available in any ROMs as far as i know, and for everything else works also i had tried cypheros 3.1.3 but i had some issue with that lyk the music would play on loudspeaker even if my headphones were connected(it also showed in the status bar , the headset icon after i connected my headphones) so yes i found cm14.1 better than cypheros in terms of performance

Thanks mate..!! I appreciate your reply. BTW, stock Marshmallow does support VoLTE, but since its my secondary device, I can live without that.
Yeah stock mm firmware supports VOLTE but then my phone would lag a lot on stock, so it's really difficult to stay on stock and that on jio half the calls wouldn't be placed due to interconnectivity issues, so i used stock for hardly 2-3 days.

How exactly do they allow you to? I have them installed but no options to do so?
You want to use both speaker and headset at the same time ?
I saw somewhere that a Custom ROM could do that.
I don't remember whixh one... RR ou DU maybe.
So, has anyone found a way to do this? I found a mod like this for OPO but nothing for OPX. Doesn't sound too impossible
I've found something
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/mod-dual-speaker-soundmod-devices-root-t3735280
Haven't checked, I am on Oreo
I tried it around 3 times but I failed. This dual speaker mod doesn't worked for OPX. I tried it on nougat but never tried it on stock or Oreo rom. Fortunately I shifted to stock rom yesterday and will try it asap and report back.

Because you have to send the listed files to the dev and it will work after he adapts the MOD.
How to Request the MOD (Please Cooperate with me):
In one Post,
Mention your device specs (Name, Model Number, Android and processor - EX: Samsung Galaxy Note 8, SM-N950F, Nougat 7.1.1, Exynos )...
People Please ANDROID VERSION IS VERY IMPORTANT, I can't make TWRP or MAGISK without it...
Compress all of your Mixers inside (system/etc) for Nougat, (system/vendor/etc) for Oreo, any file starting with word *mixer*.xml, name the file with Mixers-(*device model number*)-AndroidVersion (Ex: Mixers-SM-N950F-Oreo) & upload it...
Also, People Please try to name the compressed archive with your device name & android version, because of many requests, mixers are being mixed up and I have to go back to the thread verify which belongs to who, please cooperate...
OK, lately I have been forgetting who requested the MOD, Would you please also write your name in file name, so I could search the thread for you...

Hey guys, I managed to port this to Oreo (working on Lineage OS 15.1). You can adjust the volume of the earpiece by changing the value "<ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="105" />" on line 1001. Be sure to backup your mixer_paths.xml and just to be sure, I also limited the max volume in V4A.
Start testing at a low volume, so you don't accidentaly blow up your earpiece
note: I wouldn't change it above 110. Default was 84

Best equalizer for O ROMs, which is easy to flash/install?

Hi there,
I recently flashed NOS Oreo ROM. In MIUI, there was a built-in equaliser. But in NOS, there isn't any. Is there any good Equalizer which is easy to install? Please tell me different alternatives & correct procedure to flash, please. I don't wanna brick my device, but also need good sound output in earbuds.
Some users were recommending viper4android to me. Is it safe to install in Oreo NOS? Procedure, please. Also, what are some other alternatives?

[mido] bug (maybe) in custom rom

I'm experiencing a (maybe) bug in custom rom non miui Nougat.
I want to record video with external mic input.
Setup :
- small usb soundcard connected via otg
- a 3.5 aux input from mixer connected to soundcard
- use opencamera as recorder and set "external mic" in default audio source
- set video format as default, reso is 720p
In miui N (and custom rom based on that), the result of recorded video : audio and image is sync.
But
In Custom rom aosp (N,O,P) and SGSI (O,P), the result of recorded video : audio and image not sync, the video is delayed about 500ms...
So, the question is...
Why? And what file/setup/others that affect that. And maybe the solution so I can record perfectly in custom rom.
Why sticking to MIUI though? You might wanna try something else which might give you a better performance. Try using the kernel which are used in MIUI.

Kernel MIUI N (and the custom rom based on that) is different with kernel in AOSP based (SGSI-based rom use AOSP kernel too, not MIUI kernel).
Also I use different kernel on aosp-based and sgsi rom, but the result is same (the image is delayed than the audio)
