I am very curious what this update will bring.
And i find it strange that this update came even before i officially got my update for my E2363.
But i guess that this Android update system is just strange.

Okay so I don't know if many of you will see this, but I've started a petition to fix this Marshmallow update permanently. I seriously can't believe the poor choices Sony make with their phones. This Marshmallow update was rushed in the end, and this phone has the potential to be better. Heating issue is kind of resolved, it doesn't heat up as it used to, but there is still a problem with the animations. Stamina mode is really bad, and no adoptable storage. can we all flash it irrespective of the countries in which we are residing??? as till now this firmware was not released in my country(india) , we are still on .544 . so please tell me if i can flash it or not?? every help is being appreciated.

yes you can, its just that it doesnt have your language support,
as long as it has english on it i will flash it.

Nice feature in this rom - WhiteMagic technology starts now on about 80% brightnees (on .544 in about 60 %) that mean now you have more brightnees with no "lying" colors - yellow in light green, and ofcourse more battery life. I hope you know what i mean. Cheers

All person from Sony currently running this firmware directly for testing so I don't think it's a leak...may be by mistake they rolled it trolled themeselves

Is there really no one who has succesfully installed the 'Android 4.3 - 14.2.A.0.290 OTA firmware package' ??
I've arrived late to the party... was away for a few days. So I saw that the NZ revision is released??
My unit should be arriving shortly from repair, so will be able to OTA if thats the case.

i'll check when I'm able. NZ is part of asia, but its strange because the Ultra isn't retailing over here. Perhaps it is a leak direct from Sony in a controlled environment.
I have no idea if this'll work, but here you go.
Have a backup ready in case it doesn't.
Put download_package.bin in /cache/recovery/fota
Run /system/bin/fota-trigger (as root?)
In case it doesn't work, try creating the file /cache/recovery/fota/triggerfota
Reboot.
I'm not sure if this'll work, but from snooping around on my Z1, this seems to be how OTAs work.

It's better to wait to get a buggless firmware than a buggy 4.4 I already had suffered with samsung update with my grand after 4.2 update I wasn't able to use that galaxy grand at all so I moved to note 3 neo any way nice performance so I don't need a buggy 4.4 soon :victory:

I was under the impression seeing as this device is android one it would get monthly security updates as it clearly states in the specification description on the Motorola web site , just got device today and no update out of the box and on 1st August security in few days time it will be 3 months out of date , bit lame tbh from Moto

Unzip the file, use fastboot to flash
There's a xml file saying which files must be flash at which partitions and their order. Once all partitions are flashed just reboot and voila: Android Pie

Hate to break it to you guys but these seamless walls will not work on other devices (I've tried). Screen resolution I presume causes them to crash when applied. But there are other ways to make it happen.

Fyi my latest theme for the G8 has these included. As previously mentioned you can't get these to work like some of the other seamless walls do standalone but I was able to modify them to work in my theme
