Xperia X bootloop? - Sony Xperia X Questions & Answers

Hi, so I flashed a ROM to my xperia x a couple weeks ago, using flashtool, and one of the ROMs available through flashtool... Today when I was in work, my phone decided to freeze, when it came back on, it was stuck in a bootloop...
Flash mode doesn't seem to work, the LED switches colour every few seconds when I try to put it in flash mode, changes from red to green.
I can use fastboot with it, but what can I even do it fastboot to make my phone usable? or have I completely bricked it? even though it randomly turned itself off and bootlooped, rather than just after me installing something new...
Hoping there is something i can do, any help would be appreciated.

android bricked, but will still turn on just freezes during boot up

okay its an android otimus V , i rooted it a couple days ago, then i tried to install a rom via rom manager, didnt make back up, now when it restarted, the lg screen shows, then it starts to do the roms bootup and its this little animation but during this animation it freezes and thats as far as it will go. also i cant start up recovery with the vol up-home-power, the lg screen flashes, then it goes black, then has the black light up and it just stays like that for hours until i take out the battery, is there anyway to fix my phone!!
have you tried flash via kdz ?
That's how I solve my bricked problem.
In your case I suspect that you don't have any rom, it's like one PC without OS.

[Q] Sony Go wont turn on

Hello, Im here looking for some help with my Sony Go ST27i, yesterday I rooted it successfully, but then I tried to flash a better kernel via recovery and it went down, since that I cant turn it on, when I try it it blinks the battery light (red color), I've done some research and every website and every forum give the same solutions:
-use the keys combinations to do hard reset
-flash origianal ROM via fastboot
the problem is that none of this worked, I'm starting to get worried, cuz I think theres no way back (
I checked with that weird command *#*#.....#*#* and my device doesnt allow to enable bootloader.

Alright. Plug your device into a wall charger. In all likelihood it will bootloop. Let it stay there for some time(preferably overnight). After that, try to get into fastboot. Once you're in fastboot, flash the stock kernel back.

Dead Ultra!

Hello,
I picked up a white Sony Xperia Z Ultra two days ago. Yesterday it died because of my own stupid fault.
So, I got it second hand. Everything working fine, but, it had CyanogenMod 12. Only I noticed it was quite buggy with phone calls, WhatsApp, etc. So I wanted to flash a stock ROM on it.
Using Flashtool I tried flashing it, no success. So then I decided to put CyanogenMod 10 on it, given I heard it was stable. I thought if calls and whatnot are all stable I don't really care.
I booted into recovery and flashed it, and now it won't start. It's stuck on the Sony logo, the LED is purple but turns to orange.
Also I can't get into recovery. I tried recovering using Flashtool, but I get a loader.sin error.
It does respond with 3 vibrations when I press power + volume up.
On power + volume down my phone gets connected to my PC, but disconnects itself and boots up, or atleast tries to, but, stuck on logo.
Sony Companion doesn't recognize it either.
Right now I am at the end of my rope, given I just got it two days ago, and I enjoyed the phone for like 4 hours...
Please, can somebody help me? I searched the forums for hours.

First of all, let me clear that;
1. The 3 vibrations are related to hard reboot, so forget about it.
2. loader.sin error usually appears when ALL the drivers isn't installed properly.
3. Finally,
your phone connects for a while after pressing volDN+connect USB.
This means Drivers isn't installed on your PC.
Solution:
First of all, install essential drivers to your PC.
Navigate to Your Flashtool folder (where you have installed) and then open DRIVERS folder. Install it for your phone and CHECK boxes (Xperia Z ultra, Fastboot, Flash mode).
Now,
In Flashtool select your downloaded .FTF and flash it.
Hope the above guide helps you and your phone gets a life.

hitman-xda
I found out what the problem was.
All the drivers were installed correctly and so on and so on, but, apparently, the USB cable was just messed up... I have another phone here, a Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3, and that one can't connect either, only charge for some reason.
Used a laptop with another USB cable and all worked, so now I am finally enjoyed my fixed Z Ultra with Lollipop. Great phone so far~

M4 in bootloop after unlock

Hi,
It seems like I f****d my phone up :/
I tried to unlock the bootloader and root my phone according to the instructions (http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/recovery-twrp-command-line-t3198973).
I'm pretty sure the unlocking process ended without errors (at least flashtool told me so), then I flashed the recovery.img. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop. Everytime I try to turn it on it vibrates one time, shows the SONY XPERIA-logo and goes black. Than it turns itself on again and displays the logo. This cycle continues for hours. Sometimes the red LED is flashing, too. The next morning the LED was red without flashing and the phone was off, despite being on a charger the whole time.
I tried to reflash the stock-firmware with flashtool and xperifirm, but it still won't boot properly. I also tried to repair the phone using Sony PC-Companion (after relocking it), the problem still exists.
I'm able to boot into fastboot and flashmode, but not into ADB.
Does anybody has an idea how to get the phone working again?
Reflash firmware, use flashtool.
As already said, flashing the firmware via flashboot does not work. I'm still in a bootloop.
How did you unlock it? Where did you get the unlock code?

Bricked Xperia Z3v with locked bootloader, can't enter recovery or flash mode

Hi guys. So I have been going through xda and Google for hours and hours trying solutions, to no avail. I almost never post on forums for help because I can usually find the solution. Not this time. This is my last resort next to throwing my phone out a window or praying for death's sweet release.
The facts: I have a rooted Xperia Z3v. I tried to upgrade TWRP in order to follow some directions on upgrading to Nougat. I flashed TWRP from 2.8.X.X to 3.X.X.X. I rebooted and it never made it to the Sony logo. Now, if I plug the phone in to either a wall socket or PC it vibrates, endlessly at three second intervals, each time with red LED. If I try to enter flash mode, then its the same but with a brief green led after the red. I can enter fastboot (the only way to stop it vibrating while plugged in) and my PC sees it, including Flashtool, but since my bootloader is locked permanently, I can't really do much with it.
When plugged into the wall-charger, I noticed that the charger's LED changes from "Active" to "Inactive" with every vibration. I'm pretty sure I'm in a reboot loop. The screen is totally dead and there's no logo, but every three seconds it kills it self and comes back.
I have tried everything I could think of.
What I have:
I have the stock firmware ready to go
I have TWRP backups on SD card and PC
I have Flashtool
I think my drivers are good, but not 100% sure
I can fastboot
I'm at my wit's end and losing hope.
Please, I'm open to any suggestions at all.
