This is truly weird if the Huawei rep that replied is providing accurate info!
At the very least, they should post the leaked B310 on their site. So, it does look like they don't want to go for full-scale deployment for the middle-Eastern MM firmware yet. A bit odd I would say.
I myself opted not to install MM on my device until the firmware is officially available on Huawei's site (or if I get the OTA release before that). I know the leaked file should be reasonably safe, but I was unable to ascertain, to an acceptable confidence level, that the file is fine. I know it seems to be performing well for those who installed it, but that was not the concern.
Anyway, it'll happen one day

If you are happy with LP then sure buddy, no reason to upgrade... OTA is always the way to go...

Another member received the same msg, saying that MM update for ME is going to release at the end of October or the beginning of November.
This makes me wonder if the leaked update is not finalized or they delayed it to add another feature

Atleast for your version they are replying.
For my KIW-L23, I don't get any reply. A graveyard like silence will be there while asking the question about the OS update.

It happened today. You can get your update over here -http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=90103&version=351925&siteCode=pk

Thanks for the notice. Turns out the leaked firmware was the exact same file as the official one posted on Huawei's site after all.

Yes because a leaked firmware is just the official "leaked" prematurely.

Your right but you'll need an Honor 8 to ever see it. Honor wants you all to update to the H8 they don't stay in business if you don't continue updating your phones. It's just that simple, if you want EMUI 5 get the Honor 8.
If your happy with your Honor 5x that's great enjoy it but if your expecting Android N and EMUI 5 you will be let down.

In Indian Honor Beta testing form, the mobiles listed for registering for Nougat OTA contains Honor 5X and 5C.
So the probability for Nougat to Honor 5X is high I would say.
Also you can note that Honor 7 hasn't been listed in it. So it might leave H7.

It's another view but I also think LG trying to fix old mistakes with Software Update part, It would be good if we could get Android M also
Generally firstly korean versions get update than int. versions get the updates. It looks like fake but I hope we get the update.
Btw if this update really exist the version number shouldn't be v40 should be v3X(except v30, exmple v35a for 5.1.1 update. if we get android m update it should be v40X)
It's normal that the baseband is the same as 5.0.2?
Mmm i don't think that LG would update an old phone like G2

In screenshots.it looks like they would gonna update our G2 to 5.1.1 with Full LG g4 UI as well as our 5.0.2 with g3 UI.i am sure LG would gonna provide us both LP and android M updates besides our chipset is enough powerful to handle android M easily.

I'll believe it when I see it. My Canadian g2 is still stuck on 4.4.2. I have to pick between good battery life and camera, or up to date, nice looking software on my nexus 4.

What makes you say that? First of all the update to 5.1.1 isnt a drastic overhaul and is needed to fix bugs that are currently present in 5.0. An android M update would require more work than the 5.1.1 update.
The only reasons we probably won't get android m are:
1. Too much work to update to M because of drastic changes
2. They could have decided to just leave the LG g2 with lollipop, which is fair given the 2 year period since release. Most phones don't get updates after a 2 year period. Except for nexus.
They should rather skip Android Lollipop 5.1.x and go straight to Android M IMHO.
Doing a 5.1.x release for the LG G2 is a waste of time when Android M is already around the corner.
At the time they will release a 5.1.x update, it is probably going to be outdated already because Android M will already be available...
So, LG, if you are reading this, please update the LG G2 directly to Android M instead. That woud be much better.
Regards

I dont think that the canadian variant is only the fault of LG. The telecom providers don't even know when their own devices are getting updated and cant provide valid information so we should blame both or none.
Btw if this is true then it will be the v40 update. I didn't knew any other LG device yet which got updated higher then v30(2 android version upgrades) ofcourse excluding nexus series.

Marshmallow for A5 and A3? (2015)

Hi guys, I've found out that A5 (2015) will receive MM quickly (http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/galaxy-a/SM-A500FZKUBTU -> see updated manual), and what do you think about A3 (2015)? What the chances are for this phone? I'm actually A3 user, I didnt think I'll have MM here, but know.... I'm not so sure Let me know what you think about it!
[EDIT]
Lol, there's updated manual for A3 either!
http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/mobile-devices/smartphones/galaxy-a/SM-A300FZWUBTU
Woah... I sure hope so. It could make getting a CM13 ROM much easier. The existence of the manual for the A3 sure points to it.
Great news, finaly will get marsmallow on A5 and A3 2015 soon

Sorry when im say this, but why the hell all want this official update which is bloated,in my opinion ugly, because its touchwiz and outdated because of near android n update, confusing,we have 6.0.1 roms and except FM radio its perfect and much better as the stocktrash, more customizle and better to handle?I know yet comes the answer from crying users about: my warranty is gone when im flash etc,but not in german or in the most europe, its not break ur warranty, just look my thread in q/a section about my camera which was broken, ive send it back with knox 0/1 and custom rom and have become my phone some days later back with new camerahardware on warranty,so chill, its all good, its samsung.thanx.

Because the A3 doesn't have any good CM13 ROMs, and this would make it easier to get a fully working one. We have mygalaxya's ROM, sure, but it has a lot of bugs and doesn't even boot in certain variants of the phone.

I tried AICP11 few month ago. AICP is one of the best ROM in my opinion, but for me the lack of HDR camera and GPS sporadic functioning was enough to drop this ROM.
I saw others ROMs has some bugs like screen freezing or touch unresponsive and this is another reason not to update (YET) to custom ROM.
I came on Samsung after many years of HTC and on HTC custom ROMs I had never found bugs like that I mentioned. I mean all ROMs in that area were perfectly running android versions and the challenge was who are more customizable or better looking or faster...
So it's not a matter of knox or guaranty. A stock ROM is a fully working ROM and a custom ROM must meet at least this requirement and after that we can speak about how much is customizable or energy saving and so on...

As with prerelease versions of regular Android the preview source only contains the changes they are required to publish because of their license. Example is the kernel with is GPL2 licensed requiring source code releases.
Android Wear 2.0 is definitely confirmed for the Zenwatch 2 any day now hopefully

Even though this may be true we have to keep in mind... That Google MAY be releasing the source to Manufactures on Feb 15. ASUS still needs to sign off on it essentially and hopefully not muck it up to much by making their own changes. I dont hopefully for see that but you never know! I had emailed ASUS myself the other day asking them if they had a scheduled date for the rollout and they responded they were not certain. I as well as all of you am very eager to see wear 2.0 arrive on our ZW2! I think a new breath of life will bring a whole new meaning to wearables!
Also in the email i received from ASUS they commented they will not roll out a factory image that can be flashed to the watch via PC. They do have their security updates posted on asus.com but apparently once they roll it out we will have to wait till it arrives on our watch and not just download it and flash it. Unless this rep was wrong however.
Just figured i would let you all know what ive found so far.
I asked Asus in twitter and got the stupid in the coming weeks standard reply

Yea if someone could grab the OTA.zip prior to installing it and pull it via ADB or fastboot then yes we should be able to use that instead of waiting on a slow rollout.
Guess we will have to see what happens!
Best of luck fellow ZW2 users!

Oh my god dude. I bought this in September waiting for Wear 2.0's release in December or "early q1". Now q2? Smh it's portable OS.
They confirmed early Q2: https://twitter.com/ASUSUSA/status/834868083022041093
I have more faith in Asteroid OS than this buggy Android wear crap!
Wear 2.0 is a pretty significant rewrite. I'd rather they get it right than get it fast.
Also, Wear 1.0, while largely just a remote notification system, still works just fine for what it is. The only major feature in 2.0 that I'm waiting for is truly local apps, so I can kill the stupid stub apps on my phone.

So you would rather have them rush it out buggy? Glad you aren't in charge of making those decisions.

Lel. I wouldn't rush anything. Google is the one rushing with the teaser. And postponing. I would rather tease something that is actually a thing without bug rather than a concept. Something what apple done for a long time now.

I would say that Asus is postponing not google. And the reason might be that they want to Asus Zen watch 3 first.

Asus waiting on google to release it.. Google with all it mighty tease things with misleading promotion. Those "few weeks" all over internet is such a bs. We cant really blame asus as even huawei that actually have developer build out still dont get AW2.0....

Nougat for Axon 7 coming "in the next two weeks or so."

http://www.androidcentral.com/zte-doesnt-actually-know-what-people-want
TL;DR: Jeff Yee, Vice President of Technology Partnerships and Planning for ZTE North America:
"Before any decisions are made about the future of Project CSX, the company's current flagship, the Axon 7, is poised to get updated to Android 7.0 Nougat in early February. Yee says that Google has received the final Nougat build, which includes long-awaited Daydream support, and is going through the process of certifying the release for public use. That process should wrap up in the coming days, and users of the sold-unlocked device can look forward to an update in the next two weeks or so."
"...or so." I'll look for it at the end of February at the earliest.
also from the article:
"Yee says that Google has received the final Nougat build, which includes long-awaited Daydream support, and is going through the process of certifying the release for public use. That process should wrap up in the coming days, and users of the sold-unlocked device can look forward to an update in the next two weeks or so."
Unless it's near vanilla Nougat, and that abomination called Power Manager has been completely removed and killed with fire, I am not interested. Lineage is working wonderfully and I see no reason why ZTE would bring anything useful to the table based on the B27 and B29 updates.
My opinion, for what it's worth.
that article is bull****. the nougat beta doesnt seem to be anywhere close to ready....
I thought they would release 7.1 with Daydream?

Got any proof of that?
Bring it on! Really loving this phone and can't wait to see what the devs here do with the N software.

They gonna get me that's for sure....Their timeline for nougat has been much better than most other OEM's. And their help was invaluable in getting CM up and running which is pretty much the bigg at reason I actually bought the phone in the first place...If only I could find a decent glass screen protector this would be a 11/10
I was planning to go with the S8 once it is out (assuming unlocked bootloader). But after all ZTE did to help get CM up and running I am going to wait for the AXON 8 instead!

No it's not, not by a long shot. Since when is an update nearly a year after initial release so good? Even companies notorious for slow releases like Samsung have beaten them to the punch. The only one which comes to mind which has delayed as much as them is LG and they're being torn apart for it.

They've done the absolute bare minimum and did far less than any of the random developers here who wanted to get it done. There is literally zero ROMs that you can honestly thank them for, in fact if they weren't so stubborn and just gave us the material to work with we could have come up with plenty long ago. Go ahead and use one of those ROMs, which ZTE did nothing to help with just to be perfectly clear, if you don't mind losing functionality like access to the Hi-Fi DAC. ZTE are by far one of the worst companies when it comes to support that I've ever heard of. Interesting that a lack of screen protectors is what keeps it from being an "11" when it's camera practically doesn't function in medium light, there's random bugs all over the place, and there's still even enough typos to make the entire thing seem like a bad joke.
Even if they do deliver now, it'd be too little too late. I've had this phone for half a year and they haven't kept a single promise. Only empty hype which has never once resulted in something tangible.
I like this mtfk
You Sir have a point, and I think is a valid one.

Given how A2017G users are treated, maybe February 2018?

Exiting, can't wait for the new Android Q to arrive!:fingers-crossed:
Let's also consider the fact that K20 was delayed in getting v9.8.22. I won't be surprised to find out that we'll remain in the "delayed" list for an extended period of time.

Actually, the update to Android 10 is coming next month for the Mi9T, but we don't know if it will be MIUI 10 or 11.

Actually on their site it says miui 11 for mi9t is due between 21-31Oct19, but today is 24Oct I'm on glabal stable and still no OTA. It's one thing to get free news mentions by promising stuff, it's something else to actually deliver on your promise ! We'll see whether it comes in the next few days, by the 31st as they promised, but not much we can do if it doesn't, don't want to unlock BL..
Still no update for my mi9t global so sad. Im going back to oneplus

lol, you choose the phones because of the ability to update first? Phase 1 is between October 22nd - 31st sometimes it can even take longer, all the phones cannot be updated at the same time. You have to wait a little.

I've been using it on my mi 9t from the 16th, really nothing to get excited about as it's still android 9. Not that impressive at all to be honest.

31st has arrived and as expected no OTA. Read their own phase 1 statement please, it does not mention..'it can even take longer'. Like i said, I've seen these marketing tricks with other vendors as a way of getting free press mentons without having to actually do anything or even deliver on your promise.
I am very disappointed with xiaomi, I've only had one OTA since purchase and still on july security. At least none of them have found a way of preventing us from voting with our money and moving onto some other vendor..1+ here i come..
Guys not much to be excited about.. I already got the MIUI 11 global update and as it was mantioned before its still Android 9. And i have to admit that it is really buggy for me.. I have to restart phone everyday because i get enormous battery drain. (from 80% down to 2% during the night..). And yes i did try to do factory reset.. And i have also encountered 2 random reboots since the update came..
Seems I am a lucky one, cause on same global rom I do not encounter any serious battery drain

Nope, the problem it's with autostart... Xiaomi enabled by default this option to all apps, and the battery it's draining very very fast... If you disable autostart for almost all apps you'll get better battery life, it's like getting a new phone ?

Try to disable autostart for apps, I did this and it feels right now like a phone with 4000mAh unfortunately xiaomi enabled autostart for all apps, I don't understand why...
